Gold Canyon Candle 2 wick candle

The Gold Canyon 2 wick candle is an unsafe consumer product.

My brother one night lit his candle before bed, and let it sit on his window sill and ended up falling asleep. He woke up sweating, and immediately smelt a burning scent. He said that he jolted out of bed to see the flame of the candle being huge. When he went running up to it, he said that the glass of the jar had shattered and sunken into the windowsill, the wax was bubbling and the flame was uncontrollable. He ran to get water to throw onto it and when he did, he described the experience as if he had thrown gasoline on it. The flame exploded and consumed the entire space of the window, and proceeded to eventually put itself out. It left soot all over the ceiling above the window, soot along the frame as well as scorched areas along the sides of the window frame and the base. He had to chip the jar of the candle out of the window sill, and it left a massive melted hole behind.

Others that were home at the time also woke to burning smell, one was one the same floor as the candle and the other person was 2 floors down and could smell it.

I have concerns over the safety of these Gold Canyon Candles. They are unpredictable and get way too hot to be considered a safe consumer product. The candle, after left burning for 7 hours had shattered its own container and destroyed my families window sill. It says on the base of one of the other candles we have, "Never burn more than 4 hours at a time". I realize that these are the instructions they provide for safe consumerism; however, no other candle that I have ever burnt has gotten so hot as to boil and sink into a counter top after burning for long periods of time. Other candles I have owned would either put itself out or the flame would dim due to the melted wax.

Yes, my brother should have put the candle out before sleeping, however, simple mistakes like this can happen anytime. The candle was placed in an area where there was no drapery or blinds, paper, or anything else around it to cause the candle to burn in such a way. The candle should not go up in flames on its own like it did in my brother's room that night. I hate to think of what could have happened if he had not have woken up.

I am bringing this up as a safety concern for all Gold Canyon consumers. Nobody's safety should be as jeopardized as my brothers had that night. Luckily, my brother and the rest of my family are safe — but now they have to deal with the expenses of repairing the room because of one Gold Canyon candle. The manufacturing of the candle should be reviewed to assure a safer candle-burning experience.

Gold Canyon Candle candle order

I signed up and placed my first orders with Gold Canyon on 12/5/19 and it is now 12/23/2019 and I have not seen my orders. I received an email on 12/16/2019 apologizing for dropping the ball and not fulfilling my order timely and again its 12/23/2019 and it is still not fulfilled. I called the 1-866-996-4222 and 1-866-737-8311 to find out what is going on and no answer. I am working today so I have just left my phone on with the line ringing it is now 4:31:01 hours and no answer and no order both orders total $281.05 which contained Christmas gifts. I am very disappointed with your service and would like a refund of both my orders. order # 1231189 and 1231188

I'm dealing with the same issue with no response from my executive. Stressful I get, but I imagine simple and better communication on the part of the company and executives could have helped greatly.

Your order #'s are showing up blocked. Gold Canyon Moved warehoused during the busiest time of year and have had issues getting up and running. If you want to e-mail me directly your order #'s I can go ahead and see about getting those cancelled through the back office for you. Also if you have an executive you work with they should be able to do it as well. It has been a stressful holiday season for everyone.

Gold Canyon Candle my candle

I bought this candle from a student at my school... She was selling as part of a fundraiser. I have been trying to use it and it won't stay lit. I'm really sad about it because I Luv the cinnamon fragrance and wish I could use it. The wicks seem to only be lit for a very short time then just extinguish by themselves If you could let me know what to do about this I would greatly appreciate it.

My new candle won't stay lit. I trimmed it when I first got it. I bought the candle from a student at my school as part of a fundraiser. I have had the candle for two weeks a d just lit it today (7/7/18) I tried scooping around wick but still no luck. I really want to be able to use my candle. The fragrance is amazing and I miss it a lot. Please help me find out what I can do to get my candle working.

Gold Canyon Candle Customer service lack thereof...

I called the main number, I sent emails to consultants, I called a few different "consultant" numbers. All to no avail. I am seriously questioning the validity of this company. They have a snappy recording to bore you to tears with but never picked up the phone after a computerized voice tells me the wait time is six seconds. I went to the web site to complain and find out what the problem may be, again to no avail. Click on "contact us" and you come up...again...empty handed. I almost gave my credit card info for a spontaneous order a few nights ago. I am so glad I decided not to! This company, if it even really exists...needs a lot of work and some serious consultants that don't have their kids answering the phones. I was looking for a closer alternative to PartyLite...but after this experience..I shall stay with PartyLite. Not only are the consultants willing to bend over backwards to help you, their prices are MUCH better.

Gold Canyon Candle Scam artist

I was talked in to becoming a fragrance consultant for this company and was told that my kit would only be $20.00 plus shipping and handling. This was the start of a total nightmare. When I finally could log in to my back office I was being charged three payments of 65.00 for my kit if I did not sell 750.00 of their product in the first 30 days of being a consultant. I had over a thousand dollars in orders but no one could access my website or place an order and neither could I. I repeatedly put in tickets for this issue, called people for help and no one from this company would return my calls or I could not get through or be placed on hold for hours and still no one would come to the phone and it would hang up. My team leader told me "you have to deal with the hand that you are dealt", said she would place the orders for my customers after I told her three times that no one wanted to order from me again and who in their right mind would give her their credit card number to place orders when no one not even me knows her. She relentlessly after I asked her to stop bothering me, kept sending me email after email that she was trying to help me when in fact all she was sending me was scripted emails. This company is horrible to work for, they do not answer the phone and direct your calls with issues to people who will not call you back. I was being charged $14.99 for a website each month that did not work. I eventually had to cancel that credit card as lost or stolen so they coud no longer charge it for something i could not access. They do not conduct proper business practice and do not help their reps when trouble arises. I am sending them a certified letter to cancel my website and if I do not get any satisfaction from them then I will get an attorney to handle it for me. Do not sign up to ever work for them as a second business because you will regret it completely. There candles will leave soot all over your house too.

Gold Canyon Candle Poor service

Hi we recieved a Gold Canyon Candle Co. Clean Sheets Candle as a gift. We took it home and lit it. Within a short period of time we noticed our children had soot all in their nostrils. We also had soot in our nostrils and felt nauseated and had headaches. We blew out the candle and noticed our sofa and chair which originally were white, were now grey and the counters in the kitchen (another room that the candle wasn't in) were covered in grey soot. This candle is dangerous and damaging to your home. We have inclueded pics of our sofa, we keep a quilt over most of the sofa so you can see where there is a definite line from where the quilt covered and the soot landed.

I love Gold Canyon also, especially the scent pods & the oils... I haven't had a problem with any of the above negative comments. Receive my kit, no additional charges and my upline calls and have team meetings; not to mention soot, damage to furniture... that must have been Knock-Off candle.

I love candles the make my crazy pills smell like north woods and I really don't like the south woods or the west or east woods so I'm happy to have soot and black nostrils. good day mate.

I have burned all types of candles. Wickless products. Reeds. Incense. Etc. Im a lover of a good smelling home. However. Recently, my son began getting congested. I have avidly STOPPED burning anything in my home due to his health. Lo and behold, black soot. In my closets, beside the refridgerator, in the shower and so on. I could feel such a draft coming into my livingroom and thought maybe we were all getting sick. I decided to call someone in. He tested my windows and doors. Eureka! The draft from my picture window was causing my heating to work overtime in my home. The man says "Ill bet you have a problem with black soot in strange places, dont you?" Your heaters are causing it. Not your candles. Im back to burning Gold Canyon. (Although I personally prefer the pod warmers!) New picture window and new door. No soot. I actually signed up to become a consultant to bring GC into many other deserving homes! Sometimes its just so easy to blame the new kid, when all along its something just getting old. (Oh, and for your own heating bill, have your drafts checked! Same money to buy more candles!)

The attached picture is if smoke coming from a Gold Canyon candle in a hurricane holder. These are expensive candles and I followed directions. The first time i had the candle going, it was THE ONLY candle I had burned in my house in at least 2 months. So the fresh smoke damage was not from anything else. And I DO NOT work for a competing company as some people are suggesting anyone complainting are. I simply purchased the candle as a fundraiser. My toilet (on a different level of my home) was black after an hour or so of this candle buring. Also all of my white kitchen appliances. So today, a week later, i decided to give the candle another shot. The attached picture is the result. I don't get that much smoke from a dollarstore candle! Let alone something i paid $26 and tax for. I will be contacting the company today. Never again will I purchase one of these. And will be telling friends and family the same.

I have been using and selling Gold Canyon Candles since 2006 and have never had the types of issues these individuals claim are happening. I have only had in all those years one complaint and that was resolved by the company. I burn my candles every day and have never had a "SOOT" problem. The only time I had a candle smoke was when I burned it too long and didn't trim the wick, my bad I know better. Gold Canyon Candles is a repritable company and must be doing something right to have been in business as long as they have and to have become international to boot. There is no way one candle could cause the damage they are claiming. In all these years I have Never had soot in my nose, thats rediculous. Stop bashing the company and buy your candles somewhere else, try Walmart. For me they are the best on the market and I to was a diehard Yankee Candle customer at one time. I lived on the East Coast, for many years and Yankee Candle has their following but for me and my customers Gold Canyon is the only product we care to purchase.

Gold canyon is just one in a long line of MLM's. The actual reaps make little to no money and the ones in early make money off the one s in after them. Sound familiar? Its a pyramid scheme.

Hahahahahaha! Yankee is a complete joke! I've tried them and they smell great when they are right under your nose but can't smell them otherwise. And they tunnel...bad. I've bought Gold Canyon for 8 years! Only time I ever got black smoke was when I'd let it go and burn for hours on end without trimming the wicks. If you use proper candle care, as you should with ANY brand, you won't get black smoke. i always have people comment how good my house smells. Never had that comment with Yankee that's for sure.

Why would you buy dollar store candles from ladies at a party? Makes no sense

Buy Yankee Candles at a store or online and skip the drama and get a decent product.

We bought some of the GC junk to shut my SIL up a few years ago and found them to be poor quality dollar store candles. I was reall amazed how poor they were. Over priced as well.

Just another MLM pyramid scheme. AVOID.
