I recently checked my bank acct, and notice that ive been charge on something from google without my permission.
Redeem voucher - Missing balance?
Dear Compliance Team,
Please help me out here. I purchased two vouchers, a 15€ and 25 € Google voucher to topup my account in order to purchase a single month subscription of OkCupid.
I admit i just pressed ok to pass through quickly while redeeming the vouchers but it seams I exchanged my voucher value into Call of Duty: Mobile Adds, which were offered during the process of redeeming the vouchers.
I am not interested nor play Call of duty. Did I really redeem my vouchers for exchange into those Call of duty adds? At first glance, I thought the COD Adds were offered as an addition to the voucher redemption ...
If so, and I can not see any other reason how,
please take the Call of duty adds back and refund the voucher value onto my Google account.
Of course, I dont have the voucher codes anymore. I threw the phyisical voucher cards into the next bin ...

After playing a game for five years or so, and not previously spending money on it, Google thought it was really likely that I would have purchased the top in-game add-on twice within the space of a minute, at a cost of £79.99 each, when this was pure and simple pocket dialling, purchasing an add-on that I neither wanted nor needed.
If the default for the Google Play store is to NOT enable protection or even simple verification, thus allowing three-figure sums to be taken out of my account simply from the screen being bumped for a few seconds, then that is ridiculous. Naturally, I've added extra protections now, but I'd love a refund, actually.
I've been a loyal Google customer, with Android phones for years, Google Nest at home, and other Google accounts, products and services. But this incident - taking nearly £160 that I can ill afford, just before Christmas - has soured the whole experience, to be honest.
Saying, in response to my refund request, that you couldn't refund because I "hadn't secured my payment system" when I had to *literally look up instructions on the web to work out how to do that* shows that this is not a simple process, and, if one was being cynical, would say is actually designed to encourage this kind of accidental money removal from people.
I would love a refund, please.

google [from my experiance] has it set automatically unless you removed it accidentally. the refund part if i recall is in your purchase history. from there you can dispute a charge or request a refund.
In the end I got the software developer (games company) to refund it from their end, via Google Play and into my PayPal account.
The very thing that Google said couldn't be done.
At least the developers were aware of how customer service is done properly!

I have notice multiple Google charges on my bank account statements that I have never made. Charge says Google then a name and a ten digit number. I am going to cancel my card and order a new one. I am looking to get a refund of the proper amount which is still to be determined. The charges have been over a duration of time and I was not aware. Please make this right. The complain relates to transaction ID GPB.[protected], 22$.
I purchased a book on Play Store.
Play Books fails to open on my device. I attached a screenshot of my device with the error message in French, saying clearly that the app does not work.
I requested a refund for the purchase within 10 minutes of the purchase.
The refund was refused without giving a reason, and without giving an email contact. The refusal email is in attachment.

Google Live Chat
I spent 3 hours and 25mins on live chat this evening and still didn't receive any help to rectify my issue (my photos aren't backing up to google photos). Initially I spoke to 1 advisor, then after 2hrs and him talking me through stuff that wasn't related to my query, he eventually said that it was beyond his expertise and passed me through to someone else. But this was after 3 attempts to get me to screen share with him. I refused each time as I am not comfortable allowing someone access to my computer. After I said no initially that should have been that, but he asked two more times and did so quite forcefully, even stating that the reason he couldn't help was because I refused to screen share. Well this was an out-and-out lie as it turns out nobody helped me. I felt intimidated by the way he spoke to me and pressured to do something I wasn't comfortable with. Eventually he passed me on to another advisor, but they took an hour and still weren't able to help. As the google drive service is basically online cloud backup/storage, if its not working to back up your documents/photos, then clearly you are paying for something that you're not getting use out of. So at the 3hr point I said 'shall we admit defeat and i'll just cancel the account as of the 21st december (which is when it is due to renew) and please advise me how I can go about complaining. As obviously i've been unable to back up my photos for 2 months now and there's yet another month before my storage expires - so that will be 3 of the 12 months i've paid for but not had use of, which is obviously completely unfair. To which he replied there were no refunds or official complaints procedure and simply cut me off after saying i'd receive an email tomorrow. So 3.5hrs of my life wasted, intimidated by 1 person and cut off and dropped by the next. This is totally unacceptable. I have saved a copy of the whole chat so am happy to provide this as necessary.
Desired outcome: I would love my issue resolved but after 3.5hrs on live chat it doesn't seem like thats possible so I would like a refund for the 3 months i've not been able to use the service.

Google mapping keeps on getting my address location wrong, way off, when other mapping services, like MapQuest, get it right.
As big as Google is they should be screwing up address location because it effects shipping and other services.

Another bigger hurdle, Google refused to remove my personal information, including call history, service address, credit card info, etc. So, basically you pay for less privacy and potential breach of your personal data!

Googler pay or rather googler the thief in charge
On nov. 5 2021 i attempted to try this google pay, well that was a big stupid mistake on my part.
I used my debit card to deposit into the bogus googler pay them account with 2 transactions sourced from my credit union debit card.
1) $200.00 amount
2) $100.00 amount
total of $300.00
so the money was immediately taken from my credit union same day within a 12 hour time frame as my credit union checking account (same account my debit card is sourced from) was showing the two withdrawal ach transactions and still is showing that my the two transactions.
So, on the following monday i found i could get a call back from googler theft inc. And onthe phone call i was advised that the transactions were in process. And money would be available in 5 days on the 13th.
Well got a text on the 11/12/2021 today they could not process the amounts to the wallet so goofeey google cancels the transactions.
Wait it gets better now they are claiming that the debit card was not a valid source to obtain the $300.00 so now they made the transactions disappear and told me to contact my bank?

I had to google to even know what the H3ll " aviva sun " even was? not impressed that i had to cancel a card and have no card now for a week! i have deleted nearly all google apps from my phone now and will never buy anything from GOOGLE. The strangest part is my google account does not have my checking account information on file ( supposably).

did you have a app called "Yalla Ludo - Ludo&Domino" by any chance? when searching that company mentioned in the picture this comes up as a game under their google store name. it could be this app is sketchy in that it has a virus that wasn't seen by google protect that captured your details and charged them through google. that or you accidentally entered it into their [aviva sun] system. check your account just in case if you saved the details in any google product [chrome, android...] you may have it on one of them and that's how aviva sun got the information to charge you.

On March 28, 2021 I paid for a app reface pro Annual ( year) for $21.49 thru March 2022 Google has took unauthorized transactions from my account as follows

Reface is known to scam money from people. there is a 3 day free trial but you have to promise to get the subscription before you can do the trial. their model of subscription is bill monthly till you paid the year sub price. all google can do is refund after you use the "request refund" button on the reface app store page.
in your google play store app go to your account and look at subscriptions. from there you can remove any subscriptions listed to halt any unwanted apps from billing you.
reface is an app that basically scams people of money. there is a free trial but cant use trial without promising to subscribe. you can remove them from billing you via the subscription feed in your google account. all google can do is give a refund if you use the request refund button on the google play store via the reface app store page.

A charge hit my checking account 11-9-21 for $31.79 that I did not authorize. Please reverse this charge or I will file a dispute to have it removed. I called my credit union and they have now blocked my card. It's from Seriously Digital Entertainment and it says GOOGLE *SERIOUSLY MOUNTAIN VIEW CA.

Google play/ refund denied for unauthorized charges
We have been fighting with Google Play about unauthorized charges on our debit card for a while now. My 2 special needs sons repeatedly kept taking my debit cards and using them to make unauthorized game purchases numerous times. We have asked for refunds and keep getting denied. This adds up to A LOT of money now. We desperately need it back! Please help!

Yes, these were fraudulent charges. I explained everything that happened, and they still refused to reimburse me. I think everybody needs to be warned about watching out for Google play and when purchasing anything from any of the Google services! They have become far too big, and they don't care if there are fraudulent charges on customers' accounts. Nobody seems to be in charge of making them do the right thing. I think all 1300+ people who filed complaints and were told there was evidence that the disputed charges were not authorized. should report their problem to the BBB, FCC, and the FTC. I did not see any Google play employee here on the day all these other charges occurred. If there was, they would witness 3 authorized purchases and not 13!
My son asked if he could make a charge on my debit card for a game he was playing and he was to give me cash. I said yes. He came back and asked me two more times if he could buy, and I said yes. I put the card information into the purchase area and then as soon as the purchase went through, I deleted my card and somehow, I still got charged for the 10 other charges for $386 total. When I got my statement, I found enough charges in addition to those three to make up $386 that was fraudulent and unauthorized. My son did not make those charges and neither did I all but the original 3 were charged by somebody who evidently got my card number before I could delete my card from the system.
Could this type of fraud and deception be part of the Google employees? It wouldn't make sense that they would get whatever they want on somebody else's card and then pretend they didn't do it? After all, hackers, thieves and liars have perfected their dishonest ways. They are in every job, every corner of the world.
The charges came from "GOOGLE *37 GAMES [protected] CA", "GOOGLE *UPWAKE Mountain ViewCA" and "GOOGLE *UPWAKE g.co/helppay#CA".
Notice some sites have phone numbers and the others do not have any contact information. That’s a scam artist making it appear to be legitimately a well-known business like Google. Also, why does 1 game have 3 different places to charge fees? This is sketchy at best!
Google forced my account on double authentication with phone which costs now

.1) On the 9th of Nov 21, Google forced my account on double Authentication against my will. That is, I have to use my phone to receive the authentication codes in a SMS in order to sign in.
But I don't use my phone except for browsing hence I don't even have a telco contract. I just have a pre-paid $10 SIM card for the whole year just for emergencies.
I do not need your extra authentication, I have nothing to hide and I am not active on social networks.
My signing on a couple of old phones for apps updates ends up in using the 4/5G network to login. Each time I will have to pay for the SMS.
Nevermind you keep a record of my phone number now. This is a breach of privacy.
Please remove your enforced authentication over the phone network.
Google should not ask their your customers to pay for signing in to their account. They should use another email account for instance.
.2) Google keeps SENDING ME NOTIFICATIONS ON THE PHONE asking me to introduce my age in your account. They are not only annoying but they have no legal right to do that. These notifications should cease. Collecting this kind of personal information reminds me of the communist regimes. Are we becoming that?
.3) You are also sending me notifications with my whereabouts every month. I don't need them. But they scare everyone. Google is effectively spying on us, on people, because it can. Please stop that or ask for our accord.
Google breaks again our right to privacy. And who knows whom they are sharing this info with?
I can disable the locations report but Google will continue to collect this information which sooner or later will be shared with various agencies. Google will have no more control because the law would say so, like in China .

OP they sent out a email with all the details of the 2 phase authentication program that is being rolled out to protect users. they warned you ahead of time so you know what to expect and walk away from their platform if you wanted to before nov 9th.
looking at the rest of your complaint...all of that was addressed by google in emails and in their forums on how to change them so it doesnt happen. the only thing i know is not modifiable is the authentication.
edit to my last comment, they say on the bottom of the email "continuing to use your google account is acceptance to the new security measures and TOS. if you do not agree to the TOS or the security measures then [i forget the exact last part of the sentence but here is my best retelling of it] step away and not use our products." the fact that your still using google passed the double authentication deadline means you accepted the new TOS that includes the authentication procedures.
