I purchased several items, including everything for my wife on our anniversary and other weekend entertainment (spas, dinner, after diner entertainment, home services, etc.). After spending over $400 for items, we tried to use the merchandise and services purchased. My account was deleted by Groupon, they did not have any record of my purchases, and refused...

Once u see a deal, do little bit of homework go to the company website and see what teh rates are, u are going to save or equal to the price, when groupon says its going to be 30-50% off, it isn't actually no more then 5% ..which comes with any normal website ..
I have complained to groupon with all the printscreen and website details, not once, twice or thrice but 10 times now and i think they dont really care.
Now i get why the company is dying slowly ... BEWARE.

My experience with Groupon Goods has been absolutely awful! I put in 3 separate orders for items. They then say it takes up to 2.5 weeks for items to be delivered, which is absurd when compared to most online retailers. It took a week for items to be shipped. They use UPS-MI, which is a collaboration between UPS and USPS, so your package is actually going through USPS. It takes 3 days for UPS-MI to even update their website with any tracking information, and then they still don't update it regularly.
I had to contact Groupon Goods about separate issues with 2 of my 3 orders. On one, I received what appeared to be an invalid tracking number; they said it was for use with DHL, but it used too many digits. The representatives did not read my email and sent me a canned response. I emailed a second time, and again he did not answer the correct question (also sending a canned response). I called about this, and the representative was able to tell me it was not DHL that had been used but rather UPS-MI. I thought this was ridiculous that they gave me the wrong shipper. On my second order, the shipping confirmation did not even tell me the carrier; I had to call about this as well.
I finally received my first order today. Apparently, they have mixed up the tracking numbers as well, since the item I was expecting today (according to the shipping confirmation tracking) was not the item I received. It also was not quite the item I had ordered; the color was wrong.
I have seen too many issues with this company, and this is only my first time ordering with them. I will never be ordering from Groupon Goods again, and I advise others not to as well.
paid but they refuse to give product
The Groupon email that contains the Groupon code and Security code was printed and brought to the Groupon branch in Suntec at the Groupon-specified date and time.
They refused to give the product, asking for something that has a bar code in it.
If I am not wrong, that security code is enough. Nothing was emailed to me that has a bar code in it, nor was it mentioned to login to Groupon to download whatever has a bar code in it.
I am writing ACRA (~Singapore's business registration ministry) or whatever to review Groupon's business license.

groupon goods is an absolutely terrible service
Groupon Goods is an absolutely terrible service. I purchased a mattress pad claiming to be memory foam, the ad for which included a photo of a memory foam mattress pad. What I received was not memory foam. It was just a thick foam mattress pad. I paid over $100 for memory foam and got run of the mill foam. I contacted Groupon and they gave me a $15 credit. I told them this did not address the false advertising, so they suggested I return the item. This still did not address the false advertising. Now they say they will "forward" the complaint to the Goods team.
Also, I decided to give Goods another shot and purchased a back car seat cover for dogs. I opened the package and the seat cover has numerous small holes, dirt spots, and dirt smudges. I sent them another complaint and a request to return the item.
If it seems to good to be true, it definitely is with Groupon Goods. Avoid them at all cost! Their products are untrustworthy, cheap, and falsely advertised. Save yourself a world of pain and go somewhere else. I've bought better quality products at the dollar store! And that is not an exaggeration.
horrible and stupid return policy
This site is my #2 because American Apparel is always #1. Horrible and stupid return policy, I mean ridiculous terms and impossible to work with. I would suggest you buy your products elsewhere because paying shipping both ways for something that might not suit you sucks. I made some purchases and now I'm stuck with them and very dissatisfied with both the product and the customer service.

I brought a deal for a vehicle service with pit stop motors for £40, value was £140. It took ages to book an appointment but managed one eventually. Also paid extra to have MOT which was additional £30.
All fine until I turned up at the address given and searched for 40 minutes around the area. No sign of any Pit Stop Motors garage. After asking other garages in the area was told that lots of other people have been searching for them and they don’t exist.
Okay, alarm bells are ringing now as I made a payment with them for an MOT. Checked with my bank and £400 was taken out of my account!

Called Groupon to complain about the fact they advertised a fraudulent company who ripped me off. They didn’t want to know and couldn’t give me an answer to say why they didn’t contact me or others who brought the deal, when they found out that the company was a fake!
I am trying to do what I can to get my money back, but Groupon are washing their hands of this and offer no help!
What really annoys me is that Groupon don’t seem to care that they promoted a scam and didn’t even bother check if the company exist. How can this be?
Discount sites like Groupon are sure to fail because their model preys on desperate businesses. They may be profitable, but it simply isn't sustainable. They persuade desperate businesses to offer steep discounts, and then take half the face value of any coupons sold. The business is left with a loss, and Groupon profits by doing nothing more than taking advantage of one's desperation. These leeches can't fail soon enough for me.
poor goodyear service center
The Manager at the Goodyear Service center located at 4601 W Hypoluxo Rd. Lake Worth, FL. 33463 was not very helpful on 7/28-7/29/2012 and did not try hard at all to accomodate my service needs; Oil Change/Tire Rotate. I purchased my groupon voucher on Thursday or Friday before, then dropped in at 3 PM on Saturday to see if they would be able to provide service (I did mention I had a Groupon Voucher). They closed at 6 PM and he said that Saturday would not be good and he would not be able to do the car that day. He then said tomorrow Sunday he would, I asked if we should make an apoointment and he said no, just come in the morning and they would be able to do the service. I then made arrangements with my wife to drop off the car about 10:30 in the morning that Sunday (7/29), when I showed up I said I am here to redeem my voucher and service (Oil Change/Tire Rotate). The manager (same one from day before) says I'm sorry but we would not be able to do the service today?!?! This was very frustrating to hear as we felt we were not being treated fairly because we had a "Voucher" and the job was not "Big Money" for the Center?!. To make matters worse; it did not help as we saw a person holding a Goodyear service banner on the side walk trying to attract business they can't support! I do not hold Groupon Responsible at all and I did notify them so they can "hopefully" remove that center from any future voucher. I have used Groupon before and never experienced anything like this; I hold the Car Service center fully responsible for the poor service. It is very unlikely I will ever purchase one of these Car Service Vouchers again.

customer service sucks to say the least
Costumer Service Sucks! I bought a Groupon Deal for Vela Shape treatments, which if you don't know, is to treat cellulite. Why would I do that? To actually get a treatment for summer, cause in summer i wear a bikini. But the place that offered those treatments did not have anything available till the end of september! So I tried to return the Groupon Deal, but they would not let.
this company is extremely unorganized and worthless
While they may have tempting deals, it is definitively not worth the hassle! I ordered a product on June 1st. My debit card was charged at the time of service, and it said it would be delivered in 7-10 days. After about 15 days, I emailed the customer support. They fed me a line about the tracking information not being available and that my product should arrive soon. They also issued me a $5 credit and said that if I didn't receive my product within five business days to contact them again. Five business days later, I contacted them again. They responded: "I'm sorry for any inconvenience and we appreciate your patience. Because this product is distributed by a third party company, it can take a few days for all of the orders to be placed and fulfilled in their system. Also, due to the large number of customers that these offers attract, it can often take the business a bit longer to ship due to physical processing limitations." They were still unable to provide me with a tracking number for my product. By this time, it had been nearly a month ago that my card was charged, and my product was still not here. I emailed back and told them to cancel my order because their service was ridiculous. I immediately received an email with the tracking number and was told my product would arrive within a couple days, but no reply to the email I had sent. This company is extremely unorganized and worthless. Don't waste your time.

I own a business have contacted groupon numerous times as my cheque from them have not cleared! I stopped honoring the voucher while we are moving locations but they closed my merchant center down How many times do I have to contact you groupon to be paid I did a lot of services for free if you did not pay me you have now been contacted 5 times buy me maybe posting on facebook will get me a new cheque that does not bounce.
I have yet to be able to make a purchase on this website. My first attempt was a couple months ago I tried twice to buy a getaway package and it said my billing address did not match my bank's records. On the second try about an hour later the deal was sold out so I tried for the other cabin and got the same message.
Today I have now made more than 8 attempts to buy a paintball package and am getting the same message every time and it NEVER updates my credit card info in my account. I have sent and received several emails from customer service. They stared by telling me to do exactly what their CC update page tells you to. then to update my browser or use a different browser. Tried both and both are the most current versions. then said I must have a cookie problem. Soo I cleared cookies, cache and history in both browsers and restarted them and my computer. Still getting the same message that my billing address doesn't match bank records. I have told them at least 3 times the problem is on their end. This has happened before and last time was a phone order. The problem is when a company uses a processing service that doesn't access new account information for verification. I just can't wait to hear what hoops they want me to jump through next.

I've ordered 4 groupons and so far it's junk. Not groupon itself, the products they offer at discount are not worth what they originally cost, that's why they're discounted, so it's not a "deal"
The first were fandango tickets which were fine.
The second were 2 coupons for discounts at FTD.com, I ordered mothers day flowers and lucky they were delivered on time but the flowers were such a ripoff they weren't even worth what I paid for the coupon. I sent pictures to both groupon and FTD and they refunded my money.
With the refunded groupon credits I purchase some groupon goods, a sheet set and eye cream. The sheet set felt like nice material but looked horrible. There were strings hanging out everywhere and both pillowcases were deformed, not useable. I emailed groupon about it and they basically said too bad but since you opened them we won't refund your money, feel free to donate them to charity.
The eye cream said will ship within 7-10 business days, took over a month to arrive. I've just now recieved it so we'll see if it was also a waste of money. Not buying anything else from groupon unless it's something I've bought before and know it's good.
no reply after 16 days
Bought a First Aid course through Groupon supplied by Vetcorp. The night before the course Vetcorp emailed me saying that I should have read the 8 hours worth of literature attached by now to enable me to pass the course. Suffuce to say it was the first email I'd recieved and I needed those 8 hours to sleep before the course so I phoned Vetcorp that evening. After 3 calls to Vetcorp they called mid morning the next day saying she did not get my 2 previous calls. Hmmn... Vetcorp declared their innocence and said they would call me back after investigating. -No reply after 16 days. I also emailed Groupon 16 days ago asking for a refund also - no reply! Funny thing was Groupon sent me a survey a week ago asking what I though of their service, I replied that it would be nice if they replied to customers emails sent to their "support" department. Still waiting, I've just sent another email today, 3rd time lucky methinks.
I'm glad the only thing I ever bought on Groupon were a couple movie deals where I got 2 movie tickets and sodas for $10. That worked out well, they just sent the tickets to my email and I printed em up. Judging by everything I read, I'm glad I didn't go for some of the more expensive deals I was looking at. But I will buy more movie tickets if they're ever offered again.
not getting what I paid for
I have left 8 voicemails (because no one answers the phone) and I've sent several emails to this horseback riding facility with no repsonse. I have a Groupon that's about to expire and haven't been able to set up lessons because this facility won't call or email me back. This is not the first time this has happened when using a Groupon. I think that businesses provide Groupons to customers but then they don't want to deal with the aftermath. The business has already gotten their money so they don't care if they provide customer service or not. I spent a lot of money on this Groupon for 6 lessons for my daughter and I'm very upset that I haven't been able to schedule any lessons for her. This also happened with a Groupon I bought for dance lessons.
I will never purchase a Groupon again.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE in my opinion. They do not stand behind their customers and refuse to refund money. I purchased a $225 deal from them and when I called the vendor to schedule an appointment, I was told they had nothing for over 2 months! This was a service I needed soon, not in TWO MONTHS! I contacted Groupon and complained that this company and Groupon should have advertised that they were booked for 2 months and I asked for a refund. I was told I could only get a refund in Groupon Credits. I do not want $225 in Groupon credits b/c I will never use them again if this is how they do business. So basically they stole $225 from me.
Every Groupon deal states in "Fine Print" that there are restricted dates and they schedule people first come, first serve. So yes, for example, if you bought a deal to get your hair done at a small salon and 1000 people already purchased that deal, you can expect to wait a few months before being able to get an appointment. It's common sense. They don't guarantee you an appointment at your leisure.
won't do a groupon getaway again
Bought a Groupon Getaway and tried for weeks to book the resort but they only had an answering machine saying they would call back in 24 hours which they never did. My friend bought the same getaway (Cabo San Lucas) and had the same problem. She called the Groupon complaint line and was immediately refunded her money. I had emailed the complaint dept and was told I could not have a refund and that they would try to "resolve" the issue. I immediately contacted my Visa credit card and got a refund. Won't do a Groupon getaway again!
I purchased a Group on for a two night stay in Millford. N.j. at a B& B. Long story short, I could never, and I mean NEVER get a reservation to stay there on the way to visit family on the East Coast. Totally useless company, DON'T EVER WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GROUP ON. not receive item that has been paid for 3 months after
I have purchase a deal from Groupon for a Spring Flower Hamper (92 different bulbs) on the 30th of January, the product was supposed to come from a place The Good Homne Store. after paying I have received an email saying my item will be delivered within two weeks, came two weeks, three weeks nothing, rang the place few times always on anwer phone, and was given email address, emailed them, received reply flowers are being pick up in Holland, I said wow, ok, i was told will arrive within 7 days, nothing arrived after 14 days, emailed again after 21 days, reply will be send next friday it is now the fifth Friday still no delivery. Made complaint via email as no answer on phone. Got an answer asking my order number and what is the name of item. I answered right away no reply back since then, that was two weeks ago. Complaint to Groupon via email never received any reply. January to May, my flower bulbs must be blossoming somewhere already. Very frustrating, everytime I looked at my bare garden it deppresses, imagining what could have been a colourful garden if The Home Good Store and Groupon delivered.

I would advice everyone not to use Groupon. They are the biggest scam. I had bought 6 Skin-Smoothing Sessions of Microdermabrasion for £42 at Essential Beauty from Groupon in feb 2010. When I went to the salon, it was so stinky and humid. And it was just a normal facial not Microdemabrastion. They said its for half an hour but it lasted only 20 minuts. On my second session I was running late by few minuts because london trains had some issue. I rang the salon to inform that. The receptionist was so rude, she cancelled my appointment and said i lost one session. She was talking so rudely over the phone.
So I asked her to get Mnagaer to ring me. But he was even mode ruder than the receptionist. Instead of helping me out he cancelled all my sessions. I wasnt very happy with the salon and its service, so I rang Groupon customer service for refund. The customer service representative said I cant have refund but he would give me vouchers which would be valid for 6 months. I told him I dodnt want to use Groupon again. He said he wont give me money at all. Finaly I agreed to vouchers but wasnt sure if I would buy anything in next 6 months.
The representative said if I dont buy anything they would extend my vouchers for another 6 months but I wont lose money. I was out of london for december and january. When I came back and checked my Groupon I found out my voucher has expired and they have taken my money.
So I rang Groupon again to give me another vouchers or my money back. Customer service refused to do anything. I spoke to Customer service manager but she put the phone down on me. I rang seeral times but the represetative and manager both put down the phone on me several times and saidI wouldnt get my money back. I rang agin to ask there name as I wanted to complaint to Headoffice or Director of the compant but they refused to give me thier names and again put the phone down on me.
I have never come across any company who would provide such kind of customer service. The email adress they have put on their website for complaints doesnt exist anymore. I would appreciate if anyone can get me Direcor or Company secretary contact no. At the end I would suggest everyone not to waste your time and money on Groupon.
scam with no daily deal refund
I purchased Groupon’s daily deal after hearing about it from a friend in early 2011. I made reservations at Dalice Elizabeth Winery for Rustic Italian Cooking Classes with 2 glasses of wine for January 28th, 2012 at 11 a.m. I spoke to a gentleman, unfortunately I did not write his name down, who told me I could also come with 2 additional friends and pay $95 for both which was the Groupon rate. We arrived at 10:45 this past Saturday after I called repeatedly the week of the event to confirm with NO RETURN CONFIRMATION.
The vineyard looked very uncared for, and no one was there….in fact the kitchen where we most likely would have had the lessons was in complete dissaray! I would like a refund of my monies ttotaling $94 dollars or a credit to my Groupon account. I purchase reasonably often from you and have never had a problem. I am very upset and dissapointed that we drove over 1 hour and wasted our time going there only to be very disappointed with our friends, whom this was a gift for.
Another RIP off deal with groupon. Purchashed a 3 seater and 2 seater couch through Groupon with a company CFS, the seats are ripped, very very very poor quality, arms callopsing and the sofas are ready for the skip after two months use. The company have collapsed and we have nowhere to go for a refund or resolution to our problem. I have e-mailed groupon who seem very happy to accept 50% of the published price, over 1500 sofa’s sold, not a bad revenue stream at all. Groupon need to take some accountability as the agent and respond to customers and offer compensation for the sofas they have marketed and sold…
To all out there who feel greed comes before principles respond and target groupon so positive action is taken NOW!
beware of the 'subject to availability clause'
Beware of the 'subject to availability clause'. If they get booked out, and its past the 1 week period where you get your refund, they can only issue a partial refund. If you try calling, there are extremely long wait times and you need to email them early if you didn't book until later in the valid period. Technically you should be able to book at any time during the period in which it is valid...there were no warnings to tell you to book early in case you missed out. And you've paid and given 'consideration' under contract law so why should consumers still be subject to 'booking early'? I thought a place was guaranteed.
