Gwynnie Bee Confusing and Disappointing: My Experience with Gwynnie Bee's Clothing Rental Service

I was so pumped to try out Gwynnie Bee's clothing rental service, so I signed up for their free 30-day trial. I was hoping to continue with the subscription after the trial period, but I wanted to see how it worked first. Unfortunately, I found the process to be quite confusing, and I couldn't find any clear explanations on the website. After reading some reviews, I finally figured out that I needed to fill my "closet" with items before anything would ship out.

I wasn't too impressed with the selection, though. It felt like a rental boutique from TJ Maxx. I did manage to choose a few items as "priority," and I did receive one of those items in my first shipment. The shipment arrived quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. I received the first two items by Tuesday, even though I started the trial on a Saturday.

Unfortunately, I didn't like one of the items, so I immediately packaged it up to send back. The other item, a pair of Melissa McCarthy Seven7 jeans, I hung onto and was considering buying. They were super cute, and I hoped that my next shipment would include a cute top to go with them. I even received an email offering me 20% off my first purchase, so I clicked the "buy now" link and was directed to my account. However, I couldn't get the discount to work, so I called customer service.

The representative told me that the $52 price tag was already a reflection of the 20% discount, which left me confused. I asked if the email was pointless, and she put me on hold for almost 10 minutes. When she came back, she told me that the offer had expired on May 27th, even though I had received the email on June 1st. I was frustrated, but I was willing to consider buying the jeans for $40 with the discount. However, the customer service representative charged my card without asking me first, which upset me even more.

I explained that I would have appreciated approving the transaction before it happened, but she only apologized and didn't offer to fix the situation. At that point, I was ready to cancel my trial membership, but the representative told me that I had to log into my account and cancel myself. I did so, and I don't plan on returning. It's too much of a hassle, especially when I don't get to choose which clothing items are being shipped to me.

Gwynnie Bee Gwynnie Bee Review: A Great Clothing Rental Service with Easy Returns and Discounts

I recently signed up for Gwynnie Bee and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. I needed a dress for an event and after trying several, I finally found one I liked. Returning the unused items was a breeze - I just popped them in the prepaid bags and marked them as "returned" on the site. Two days later, I received a new package with a fresh set of clothes - like clockwork. So far, I've received a total of 6 garments in less than 3 weeks and all of them have been in great shape and clean.

One thing I really appreciate about Gwynnie Bee is that you can purchase items you love at a discount while renting them. And if there's an issue with an item, the company is quick to resolve it. I received one item with some loose beading, but after contacting the company, they sent me a replacement item for free. It was only for 7 days, but it was still a nice gesture.

If you're unsure about sizing or any oddities with a garment, I recommend reading the reviews on the site. They can be really helpful in figuring out what to expect. And if you can't find the item you want, don't be afraid to email the company. They might be able to send it to you if it's available in someone's closet.

I've been using Gwynnie Bee since January and I'm still loving it. It's nice to have a new outfit every week without the commitment of purchasing. I've only bought one piece so far, but most of the items go back. I've had a couple of items that looked like they were ready for retirement, but I just threw on a jacket and wore them anyway. Nothing was that bad.

The only downside I've experienced is that sometimes it takes longer than it should to get a new shipment. But the company has given me free upgrades as compensation, so it's worth it. To make sure you always have a good selection, I recommend having at least 100 items in your closet. And be sure to check the new items as soon as they're added.

Overall, I think Gwynnie Bee is a great service. It's not perfect, but no service is. Just make sure you understand the terms and conditions before signing up. And if you have any issues, don't hesitate to contact the company. They're usually pretty quick to respond and resolve any problems.

Gwynnie Bee Gwynnie Bee Review: Charged for Services Not Received, Refused Refunds, and Left in Financial Ruin

I gotta say, I've been a Gwynnie Bee customer for a hot minute now. Like, four years or so. I mean, yeah, I had to cancel my old account and sign up again under my husband's email, but still. I've been around the block with these guys.
But let me tell you, my most recent experience was a total dumpster fire. I got billed back in February, but when they tried to bill me in March, my card was declined. No biggie, right? I figured I'd just renew my subscription when I had the funds.
Fast forward to this month, when I finally had the cash to restore my Gwynnie Bee subscription. I emailed customer service to get it reinstated, and they told me I'd be getting some new clothes in just a few days. Score!
But then, I deposited some money into my bank and saw that I was negative $79. What the heck? I knew I had over $300 in there. So I checked my bank account and saw a $366 charge pending from Gwynnie Bee. Panic mode activated.
I called them up, thinking it was just some mistake that could be easily fixed. But nope. They told me that because I technically never cancelled my account, the charges were valid. They were billing me for the last four months that I didn't have any service with them. What the actual heck?
I tried to explain that I thought it was like Netflix, where you could just pay when you were ready and not worry about it otherwise. But nope, apparently their service had to be cancelled. And since I wasn't cancelled, I owed backdated charges.
Here's the kicker though: I hadn't received any clothes since my last subscription service. So why the heck were they asking me to pay for services I didn't even get? They offered to refund charges for May, June, and July, but it would disqualify me from anything this month and keep charges from April that I didn't even have service with them. What kind of nonsense is that?
I tried to explain that the charge had sent me into the negative balance with 16 items pending, and that I would likely bounce on all of them now, causing a thousand dollars in charges. But they didn't care. They said there was nothing else they could do, and if I disputed with my bank, they wouldn't work with me on refunds at all.
I mean, seriously? I've been a loyal customer for over three years, paying $75 a month. Plus, I've bought nine dresses from them ranging from $25 to $55. And this is how they treat me? By charging me for services I didn't even receive and then refusing to help me when I'm in a bind?
I'm not rich, folks. I don't have this kind of money to throw around. And now I'm going to be about a thousand dollars in the negative, all because I decided to be a loyal customer and come back to them again. If I end up on the streets next month, it'll be because of Gwynnie Bee. So do yourself a favor and don't trust them with your financial safety.

Gwynnie Bee Gwynnie Bee Review: Poor Shipping, Bad Customer Service, Not Worth the Cost

I was really excited to try out Gwynnie Bee and see what all the fuss was about. At first, things seemed to be going well - I was able to quickly return items I didn't like and get new ones sent out to me. The "free" months were a great way to try out the service and I even ended up buying a couple of the items I tried. However, things quickly went downhill once I started paying for the service.

I moved to the one item out at a time plan, which seemed like a good deal for $39 a month. But then the shipping started to slow down - it would take 2-3 days after I notified a return before I would get a new item sent, and then another 4-5 days for it to actually arrive. I thought maybe it was because I was on a low-item plan, so I upgraded to two items out at a time with a third item upgrade until December for $59 a month. But unfortunately, there was no change in the shipping speed.

I reached out to customer service to see if there was anything they could do, but all they told me was that they were "operating within guidelines". I had plenty of items in my closet, so it wasn't a lack of selection that was causing the slow down. On top of that, the website itself was poorly put together and made managing my closet a real pain.

I decided to cancel my service after two paid months because I wasn't getting enough value out of it. Only 1/3 of the clothing sent was actually worn, so it didn't seem worth the cost. But before I cancelled, I placed an order for two items from their shop. I received email confirmations and my credit card was charged, but then three days later I got an email saying my purchases had been cancelled and my money refunded with no explanation.

When I reached out to customer service, they told me that because I had cancelled my service, my orders were automatically cancelled too. But that didn't make sense because I had already been charged and it was still during the month that I had paid for. They referred me to a clause in their details of service for the shop, which was separate from the regular details of service and not easy to find on their website. I was really frustrated with the way they handled the situation and the poor customer service I received throughout my time with them.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend Gwynnie Bee to anyone. The service is expensive for what you actually get and the customer service quality is really lacking. It's disappointing because it seemed like a great idea, but the execution just wasn't there. If you're looking for a clothing rental service, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Gwynnie Bee Gwynnie Bee Review: A Worthwhile Wardrobe Expansion with Some Flaws

I just gotta say, I've been using Gwynnie Bee for a couple of months now and while it's not perfect, I'm pretty happy with it overall. I mean, I'm gonna keep using it, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to everyone. Unless they have a free trial, then definitely try it out!

So, let's talk about shipping. It usually takes about four business days for me to get something from Gwynnie Bee, which isn't too bad. Sometimes it's faster, sometimes it's slower, but if it takes longer than seven days, they usually give me some kind of credit. And yeah, I've gotten a couple of stinky or damaged items, but they always make it right by giving me extra garment upgrades.

As for the clothes themselves, some of them are great quality and some of them are...not. But that's to be expected with any rental service, right? And the styles are pretty good, in my opinion. I'm 32 and I've found plenty of stuff that I like. But I can see how some people might not find much that suits their tastes.

I will say that I've only worn about a third of what they've sent me so far, but I'm trying to be open-minded and figure out what works best for me. The size charts are super helpful, and I've learned that I need to pay more attention to them if I want things to fit properly. And reading the reviews on sizing can be helpful too, as long as you take them with a grain of salt.

Overall, I think Gwynnie Bee is a great way to try out new styles and figure out what works for you. It's not always perfect, but it's definitely worth a shot if you're looking to expand your wardrobe. Just be sure to keep an eye on your returns and use the resources available to you!

Gwynnie Bee Gwynnie Bee Review: A Rip-Off Rental Clothing Service with Poor Customer Service and Difficulty Cancelling

So, I gotta say, I'm not too happy with Gwynnie Bee. I've been trying to cancel this service for the third time now and get my money back, but it's been a real hassle. I mean, I know it's my fault for not understanding that this is a rental clothing service when I signed up a year ago, but still. Their website now makes it clear, but back then it wasn't so obvious.

Anyway, I called customer service again and was told that no supervisor was available to help me out. And get this, they can't refund anything without their approval! What kind of nonsense is that? I talked to a helpful rep named Sheyna, but she couldn't do anything without her supervisor's say-so. And of course, the supervisors are always conveniently off or sick or unavailable. Typical.

I thought I owned one of the garments I received, but apparently not. They've been charging my PayPal account for over a year now, to the tune of over $1,200! And get this, they have no record of my other call and only an email from me/them directing me to call to cancel. What a joke. Sheyna offered to refund 4 months of my "subscription," but then didn't get the authorization to do so. And get this, they have "no record" of receiving two other garments back that I sent back about a year ago! They told me to go to the post office to track it. Like, seriously? This is ridiculous. They have $1,200 of my hard-earned money!

I'm warning you, don't do business with Gwynnie Bee. They're a rip-off and it's very difficult to cancel. It's not clear what you're getting into either. The one garment I liked was well-made, but the other couple were very cheap and short. Buyer beware, folks. Spread the word - Gwynnie Bee is a disreputable company.

Gwynnie Bee Gwynnie Bee charged me $1400 for unused service - Irresponsible company practices

I had Gwynnie Bee for a while and it was pretty good. I really liked the clothes and even bought some dresses. It was a bit pricey, but the variety of clothes and fast shipping made it worth it for me. However, about 18 months ago, I got a new card from my bank when I got married and combined accounts with my husband. I changed my name and decided not to renew my payment information with GB to save some money. I had just had a wedding and was about to start a career change involving going back to school, so I just didn't have the extra cash.

Recently, I got a new job and was excited to renew my account with GB. I logged in today and entered my new card info to get it rolling again. I started adding things to my closet and even went to their store to check out deals on items that had been previously rented. I was about to check out from the store with a few bargains, and my card got declined. I checked my bank account and GB HAD CHARGED MY CARD OVER $1400. I don't even have that much! So my card is now overdrawn over $900.

I immediately called customer service and she explained that because I never technically canceled, the monthly fee kept accruing and it just went ahead and charged me for the past 20 months even though I was not using the service during that time. She said she would put in a ticket for a refund, but it takes up to 48 hours. So until they can process whatever it is they need to process, I am beyond broke. My best friend's bachelorette party is tomorrow and I can't even go now. And this never would have happened to me if I hadn't RETURNED TO THEIR SERVICE.

I am so disappointed. How can a company operate like this? They have nothing in place to stop your card being charged when you're no longer using their service? That's just irresponsible. I was not offered any kind of good faith deal to stay a customer even after this SERIOUS inconvenience. I also got no confirmation email that my service was renewed, my account was being reviewed by customer service, I would be getting a new box, nothing. I was so looking forward to getting new cute stuff to wear too. Bummed out, mad, and will have to cancel a service I actually LIKED until this whole fiasco.

Gwynnie Bee Gwynnie Bee Review: Disappointing Clothes and Terrible Customer Service

I gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed with my experience with Gwynnie Bee. I've tried out a bunch of different subscription boxes in my time, from food to beauty products to clothes, and this is the only one that's left me feeling pretty meh.

Don't get me wrong, the clothes were okay. It's nice that they have a selection for larger sizes, which can be hard to find sometimes. But out of all the shipments I got during my month-long trial, I only wore one piece out. That's not a great ratio, if you ask me.

Anyway, I canceled my subscription as planned after the trial period was up, and I thought that was that. But then, two months later, I see a charge for $86 from Gwynnie Bee on my statement. What the heck? I called them up and they said they hadn't received two dresses that I had sent back to them with their shipping label. I was like, "Uh, what?" They said they'd "look around the warehouse" and if they still couldn't find them, they'd open a ticket with USPS to look for the package.

The next day, I got an email asking about my customer service experience. When I clicked on it, the site said the ticket had already been closed and I couldn't comment on it. What the heck, part two?

After two weeks of waiting with no response, I called back. The rep said they'd look around the warehouse again, but I was like, "Dude, you already did that and didn't get back to me." I asked if they kept the details of the return shipping labels they send out, and she said yes. So I asked why they couldn't just track the label since they have it on file. She said it was my responsibility to provide it, and they couldn't do anything else. I asked to speak with a supervisor, but was told there were none in the building and that I'd get a call back from one within 24-48 hours.

Of course, I didn't get a call back within that time frame, so I called back again. This time they gave me a ticket number and said it was being escalated, and again promised a call from a supervisor. But still nothing.

Long story short, they charged me for items I returned with their shipping label, and it seems like this is a common occurrence based on other reviews I've seen. Instead of apologizing and returning my money, they've given me the runaround. I've been fighting with them for a refund for three weeks now, and my ticket has been "escalated" by the past two reps, but still no call from a supervisor over several business days. If they don't return my money soon, I'll have to work with my bank to reverse the charges.

Honestly, I'm pretty peeved about this whole thing. I'm definitely going to tell my friends and family to stay away from this business, and I'm going to leave this review everywhere I can. I'm also going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I encourage anyone else who's had a similar experience to do the same.

Gwynnie Bee Beware of this company: Terrible service, wrong sizes, and unauthorized charges!

This company is not recommended! Beware! I was charged for a month of service that I should not have been charged for and they still have not refunded me, even after a week! I signed up for the free 30-day trial and spent two hours picking out over 30 items for my closet, but it took two weeks to get my first item. I signed up for three items per week, but it was not three items per week. After two weeks, I received three items, but when I returned them, it took another week before they sent me anything else. So, I barely got to try their clothing. The clothes they did send were either the wrong size from what I ordered or way too large or small. Some of the clothes were very worn and ratty.

Before my 30-day trial was up, I emailed them to ask if I could have another 30 days since I really didn't get to try their service. They denied me the extra time. I placed an order for their clothes they sell on sale and spent over six hours deciding what they had and what I wanted to order. I got an email confirming that I was charged and that they received my order. However, I had to contact them because although I ordered a certain dress in the email, it had another dress.

I then called and cancelled my 30-day trial with them. They never informed me that doing so would cause any problems. Two days later, I received an email stating that my order for $68.16 had been cancelled. I didn't cancel it! I called them up and was told that since I cancelled my 30-day membership trial, they cancelled my order! No one told me that! Yet they still charged me the next month's membership, so what the heck?! When I cancelled my account, the money was then taken off my card. They still took the next month's amount from my card and still have not refunded me that. They failed to send my clothes that I ordered and paid for!

Do not shop with this company! It is a rip-off and they lie to their customers! They take your money without your permission! The sizes are wrong, the items you want are never available, and whatever they felt like sending me was horribly old-fashioned and excessively worn out! In addition, when I called to ask how come I didn't get any bottoms, I was always told they were in repair! So, all I received were tops that I had no use for and that looked like my granny!

They refused to do anything over the phone. I am still fighting with them to cancel the service. This is the worst company ever!

Gwynnie Bee stole my money

I used the promo code this morning to sign up for a free month subscription of this businesses service. I want to PayPal finalize my subscription came back to their web page and saw that my subscription was complete. When it came to the part with what I was charged there was $0 there and it never said my promo code would not go through.

I get a notification that I received an email from PayPal moments later saying that when he be charged me $73.83 for my subscription, which I never knew was going to happen because I was under the assumption that my promo code went through because I never received word that I was being charged this dollar amount nor that it was no longer valid.

When I attempted to contact their customer service, Sarita told me that I was not eligible for the free trial because back in 2015 I signed up for an account even though I never had a subscription because I canceled the same day. She then told me she reached out to her manager and to give them 48 hours to see what they can do for me. I don't want anything done for me other than canceling my subscription and giving me a refund of my $73.83.

Then, instead of asking me to wait to see what happens, she tells me to add two items to my closet so they can repair my first box even though I made it perfectly clear I didn't want anything I just wanted a refund. I know that if I add the items to my closet that validates my purchase and then I will not get a refund.

Gwynnie Bee not happy

I liked nothing of what I received from them.
All of the items were poorly made and sewed of a cheap material. The clothes looked terrible and like it was already worn by someone.
Don't think I am kind of a princess and too picky, no, it's not true. The items really were terrible.
I ordered thrice from them and I shipped most of the items thrice as well. Well, too sad they can't offer anything better...

Gwynnie Bee Never received a replacement

I used Gwynnie Bee for a couple of month and everything was fine, but my last order turned out to be a real nightmare. So I ordered some things from them and paid over $150 in total. When I received my clothes I was very disappointed, sizes were totally wrong! All of my clothes were either way too big or way too small, only one item fit properly. I contacted customer service and asked for an exchange. I never asked for a refund, because stuff I received was very beautiful and quality was amazing. They asked me to send everything back, which I did, but three weeks already passed and I received nothing yet. I'm very disappointed and I don't think I will be using this company in the future.

Gwynnie Bee Stole my money!

I ordered some clothes from Gwynnie Bee in the past. Things I received were horrible, quality was way off, so I returned everything and got my money back. Six months later I received a call from my credit card company saying my card was charged! I checked my bank statement and saw that they took $180 from me! I tried to call them numerous times, and of course there was no answer. Only once someone picked up the phone, but I was immediately put on hold for 50 minutes! Run away from these scammers! I want my money back!

Gwynnie Bee They stole money from my account

I will never again subscribe for the website www.gwynniebee.com. I bought some clothes from them and the seller offered me to get 25% discount for the further orders. I needed only to subscribe and he told me that it was for free. I subscribed, but money started to disappear from my account. I emailed the seller, who confessed that it was them, who took money. I asked to stop, but they cancelled only subscription. Not advisable place.

Gwynnie Bee The dress was in awful condition

I purchased plus size dress from the company www.gwynniebee.com. The company was professional and the order arrived on time, but the big problem was the dress. I opened the package and the dress was awful. It smelled like someone used it or maybe wore it before. I sent an email to the seller, where I have complained about the quality. But no one replied to my complaint. I was upset after that.

I ordered two dresses from www.gwynniebee.com. I was disappointed, because the dress looked really nice on the picture, but in reality these dresses were for senior ladies. I asked the seller to return full sum back, but of course I heard some fake promises and blah-blah. This website isn’t for me, but I won’t recommend it to young ladies and women.
