My name is Scott Priest and I am a lifetime member of handyman club of America and have not received a magazine for my membership in approximately 3 years. Would really appreciate to start getting my subscription again or my dues returned to me. I have also had the same problem with the North American hunting club which is run by the same company. These subscriptions together cost me over $600. That's a lot of money for this company to pocket with thousands if not millions of members. Is this company out of business or just robbing people. Would appreciate answers please.
handyman club of america magazine
I am Larry Wilkerson, Club member # [protected] and a Lifetime Member for over 9 years. I just realized that I am not receiving the magazine that I was promised. My wife gave me this lifetime membership as a Christmas present. I want this magazine as promised in my membership or I feel that this company is pulling a scam. I am tired of being walked all over by large corporations. I was promised a LIFETIME membership and by golly I am not dead yet. I can be reached via email, [protected]@live.com or by phone, [protected]. I would love to speak with someone about this.
magazine and website
I am a Lifetime member of the Handyman Club of America and I can't remember the last time that I got a magazine from them of when they had anything posted on the website WWW.scout.com having to do with Handyman Club of America. I feel that Scout has merged with HCOA only to acquire its membership and when the time was right dumped all support for HCOA.
I want my [censor] money back!

Ok, I have been a LIFETIME member of this club for over ten years...It has been awhile since I received my bi-monthly LIFETIME Handyman magazine.
First off, why do they need to hear from me? I signed up for a lifetime of benefits. Secondly, I recently moved in the last year AND UPDATED my information on the club website, so in essence THEY HAVE HEARD FROM ME QUITE RECENTLY.
So, fearing to lose my membership, which has to be completely illegal, I went to the site and did what I needed to do. The thank you message stated that "My account has been REACTIVATED"! So they are telling me the deactivated my lifetime membership because "they have not heard from me in a while"? How about you try and contact me first before you just deactivate something I have paid for?
I am really getting sick of these companies offering LIFETIME or UNLIMITED products only to try and screw me down the road!
lifetime membership benefits ceased in 2014
I had joined the Handyman Club of America back in 1997 (membership # [protected]) and had been receiving their magazine and other mailings from them up until 2014. I have googled them and end up at the website for Scout Media and their website Scout.com.
I have not heard from them since.
What is going on with my membership benefits and the LifeTime membership that they so willingly took my money for?
I need to be able to change the e-mail address that I had originally used, update my mailing address as I had moved.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
not received magazine
I am a life member of you club and have not received any magazines or product from the company for over a year, it would be in your best interest to either supply me with the unseen products and magazines. After reading many complaints from other members associated with the same problem I figured it would be of my best interest to contact you about this situation, I would like a response sooner then later since your company seems to have wanted a response from me as soon as possible when they wanted my business. Well I and many others have you our business and now after sometime our business relationship has ended. If I and or we, and we meaning other customers did not fulfill our obligation you would have put a stop to our membership, but that has not happened, you are not fulfilling your end of the bargain after many of us have paid good money for a service that was to be for life, this seems to mean nothing to the company or people who run it, but since we as customers have spent our hard earned money for a product we as consumers should be receiving said product for the allotted time specified in our contracts. We were obligated to pay for said product as you are obligated to supply it. We held up our end NOW IT'S YOUR TURN. Unhappy life member#[protected]. Email: [protected]@gmail.com
Dose this club expert?
james Harrison ; club member #[protected], I just realized I have not received any copies of my handy mag for a long time. What has happened ? As a life member I expected this to continue as advertised for lif, and I'm not dead yet. I see other members have the same complaint. I think the company owes us an explanation or a partial refund. this is not a good busness practice.

I fully agree with this. I have been a life member for more than 25+ years and I can't remember the last time I received a magazine. These people need to get on the ball and keep up their end of the contract. I don't care who took Handyman of America, they also took over their customer base and the contractual agreements.
Get on the ball!
no magazines for months
I am a life time member of handyman and have not moved or even changed my name my membership ship number is [protected] I haven't heard from anyone from the company on any issues or for me to furnish anything to prove that I am still alive or not. Mr. Jonathan Jacobino,
Your company, Scout, is a variety of despicable things, any number of which I could reasonably employ to describe its handling of obligations owed to me and others.
If I receive another communication from Scout, I will turn it over to my attorney asking him to assert a claim for damages for invasion of privacy.
Of course, alternatively, if Handyman Club or Scout wants to make good its failure to perform having defrauded me of my money for services not rendered, well, then, perhaps we can talk.
Any responsible and well-respected company should think twice about having anything to do with Scout, especially if Scout uses Handyman Club email addresses with which to communicate anything!
FYI, I did not give Scout permission to use my email address for marketing purposes.

I am a completely satisfied subscriber to your videos and other offered services.
I had emailed you once before regarding your involvement with Scout’s Handyman Club of America as it sends emails touting WWGOA’s services. The most recent email can be seen below.
Scout’s Handyman Club of America may have recovered from its bankruptcy, but before that happened, it had defrauded me and countless others of money and products promised, but never delivered. It would not provide me redress.
WWGOA is too good and respected to be associated with the likes of Scout’s Handyman Club of America.
Please tell Scout’s Handyman Club of America to discontinue advancing your services that stand successfully on their own merits.
To Scout’s Handyman Club of America: Take me off your email list - immediately.
A Reply from WWGOA and Scout’s Handyman Club of America would be appreciated.

I have not been receiving my magazine. Also where is the all the member benefits on the web site? I have been a member since 1996 and never had any problems. I was informed by Member Services to log a complaint. Member Services should be able to fix this. I know that Scout took over this company. They still need to honor all past deals made with it's members. Very disappointed after 20 years of no problems.
not getting my magazines!
In May of 1999, I bought a lifemember ship on Handyman Club. I did receive my magazines for several years, then they just stopped. I wrote in to ask why but never got an answer. And now I see they changed their name to " Family Handy man club, and then wanted more money. I feel I was ripped off, and would like to get my subscription started again. I have moved now to Washington State. From 1321 3rd St. W. in Kalispell, Mt. 59901. To 36915 NW 29th Ave. NW in La Center, Wash.98629 I just want to get my Magazines coming again. Thank You Lonny Cummings.

To Whom it May Concern:
I have been a Lifetime Member of HandyMan Club of America for many years. I have not received the magazine for a long time. Please let me know why I have not been receiving the magazine and let me know when I can expect to receive it. I think there should be some kind of restitution for my not receiving the magazine. I have been at the same address for 25 years!
