bad delivery and quality
HHGregg, Worst service ever!
I bought a Frigidaire refrigerator 8 months ago and it has
had to be returned 3 times so far... Poor Quality. The delivery department has
made no attempt to work with our schedule and have even canceled delivery after
we have taken days off of work. So far 6 and 1/2 days of work missed for 1
refrigerator. Also hours of phone and in store time to work this out. I have
also had to spend an additional $140 in moving expense. They have no clue about
customer service and do not respect the customer. hhgregg at your own risk! You
have been warned!

customerr service
I went into the store @ Sand Hills to purchase a TV. Their ad said all TVs' were on sale. I found the one I wanted, but it was not showing a sale price, so I asked an associate what was the sale price. He said it was not on sale. I informed him, the ad said all TVs were on sale. After he stood there & argued with me, he went to his manager who also said, the one I chose was not on sale. I showed him the ad, he still said, no sale. I told him I didn't want it, if it was not on sale. The salesman yelled across the store as I was leaving, he would give me 5% off, that was very rude & inappropriate. I will never purchase anything from them!

fraud
The company sold me a warranty and have not performed services as paid for. I purchased a Samsung Television from them for $3, 000 and paid an additional $600.00 for their warranty. The TV required service and a tech was sent out. Service was covered under the warranty, but 5 weeks later nothing has happened. I also had a problem with an ice maker on my new $2, 000.00 samsung refrigerator purchased from HH Gregg with warranty. It took 8 weeks to get the ice maker repaired. There is something very wrong with HH Gregg and their warranties. I paid $800.00 in extended warranties for these two products and have received terrible service.

I worked seasonal for hh Gregg and never received my pay and now my calls to the supervisor are being ignored and avoided
HH Gregg is a horrible store to shop at...the management is poorly trained and customer service sucks. too upset to even write more.
appliances
Customer Service, Manager, & installation HORRIBLE! Stove & Refrigerator both installed & BOTH damaged had gas leak for first time in over 40yrs due to installers not knowing what they are doing. Frig had 6"long by 1"wide dent but still installed. Had to call store & got transferred around & on the phone for half hour with these people. Manager lied about everything when we explained the situation. Its been a week & still don't have a replacement stove yet. Frig was replaced two days after first installation but was left without a Frig the weekend before Thanksgiving. If something goes wrong with HH Gregg don't expect it to be resolved in a timely matter. You don't get any special treatment or any faster service & they don't seem to care about it either. No appologies, no discounts off delivery, NOTHING. I tell everyone NOT to buy from HH Gregg!

ripped off
I purchased 2 of the exact same televisions from hhgregg, and both came with mail in rebates, so I checked on-line to see how long til I get them back and I find out that hhgregg is only honoring one of the rebates, it says the one is a duplicate, thats ###, I plan on calling them tomorrow, but im sure that they will just give me the brush off, if so I will never shop there again, and I will inform everyone I know about how they rip people off.

I bought a washing machine two years ago. Well it finally stopped working so I called hhgregg to see aboput my warranty. The salsperson sold me a 1 time fix for a period of ten years, obviously because i turned down every other warranty, he made one up . $70 later and two years i have nothing. he sold me a $ 70 5 year extension on 1 part that was already backed by whirlpool for 5 yrs. So you know hhgregg they dont honor ###. Do not buy from them they ### alot of people everyday. There little piussant sales people cant make money unless they scam you.,
Return
I bought a Serta from HHCGregg and not even a month later, it is sagging. I have written Customer Service twice and have not heard anything. I think they may be waiting until the 30 days is up, which will be in 3 days. Unbeknowst to them, I copy and paste my emails to my personal email so they can't tell me it's beyond the 30 day period. Funny too is that I paid 899.99 for this bed, which I believe in paying good money for comfort. Well, not even 30 days later and this bed is on the website for 591.99. A 300 hundred dollar drop. I can't even sleep on this bed. My back kills me. If they ever get back to me about picking this bed back up and want to charge me a restocking fee, I will be even more upset. You would take a sagging mattress and put it back in to inventory? This may be what happened in the first place. Still waiting to hear from them. Wonder if I will... Good thing my cousin is a lawyer...
did not receive rebate/rude sales people
I PURCHASED 4 MAJOR APPLIANCES AND WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A 100.00 GIFT CARD ITS BEEN 3 MONTHS AND I STILL DID NOT RECEIVE IT. ALSO THE WASHER I BOUGHT WAS A FLOOR MODEL AND HAD NO MANUALS.I CALLED THE STORE AND SALESMEN (JOE) GAVE ME A HARD TIME.I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM HH GREGG AGAIN.
REALLY PISSED OFF

"You were told." Was the offer in writing? Were there signs? Manuals are available through the mfrs website - this is old news.
sales person
I was purchasing 3 appliances a refrigerator, stove-gas, and a dishwasher. The sales guy never introduced himself or I could give you his name. It occured 06/27/12 at approximately 7:30 pm at the Deptford NJ store. I asked to get the 5% off my three appliances I was purchasing and was denied. He stated one of the appliances must total over 499.00 and the total of the three did not count to get the 5% off. I do not understand this as I was in about a week ago and was told I could get the 5% off due to my total purchase price qualified. We filled out a credit app before even discussing prices. we were told this was the procedure. After I did not want to purchase these 3 appliances from this clerk because I felt he had made an error he jumps up and says to go buy those appliance from the person I spoke to last week. I asked to speak to a manager who was Rich Wells and asked him for my credit application back since it had not been put through yet and he denied me saying NO it belongs to them and the bank. I asked him for a copy and he also denied me a copy. I will be contacting the BBB with this situation and my attorney. I deserve an answer on why me and my friend were treated so poorly for asking clarification on this issue. The sales clerk should of gotton the manager to come over and explain this decision to us. Instead we were left sitting in the seats as he walked away. This is no way to treat good paying customers. I want a reply about this from corporate.
Brenda McNamee/Kelly Dodson
The retail stores are NOT privy to credit card application denial decision reasons. That is the LAW. It is a privacy issue and between you and the issuing bank. With most retailers, on the other hand, hold your own and you'll get a discount.
t. v. /warranty
I bought a LG 47 inch led T.V. from hhgregg 1year and 2 months ago I also bought a 5 year warranty. Well my t.v. has been fixed 3 times now. Warn Tech call and said hhgregg is got a credit for me for 629 dollars to come and use it. I paid 1300 for my t.v because I talked the sales man down.and 400 for the warranty so I tried to work with hhgregg and warn tech to resolve the problem and just give me the same TV .I bought already they said no. so I took them to court in April and I won all my money back including the 400 i spent on my 5 year warranty .so dont give up do something when you get done wrong you have the right to file a small claims suit against them. Now i can say ill never shop at hhgregg again. Very unhappy with that business they need to start doing people right!

ridiculous protocol
I bought a stackable washer and dryer from hhgregg about 20 months ago, and purchased the additional 5-year premium service plan. Well for some unknown reason this week, our washing machine began turning itself on/off during and not during run cycles accompanied by flashing lights on the front panel with very annoying repetitive beeping sounds. So I first googled it and learned that I could get an error code by holding the start and cancel buttons down together, which revealed we had the 'E2B' error - which meant one of two things. One, our voltage coming out of the outlet could be too high (over 130 volts) or two, the washer's control board could need replaced. Monday evening, my wife called it in, and to our pleasure we were able to schedule an in-home repair for Wednesday morning. So only a full day without a washing machine, not bad at all. In the meantime we finished up the laundry we had started when the washer failed up at our neighbor's house.
Wednesday morning right on schedule, a technician showed up at 8am. I was impressed, at his timeliness but that's about where the impression ended, at least the good impression, and the pain began. To make a long story short, the damn washing machine ran through an entire spin cycle while he was here without acting up. Well that's not entirely true - my wife said it did stop and beep and flash for about 5-10 seconds but then started back up and finished on its own. We had explained to both the people over the phone and the technician in our house what was happening and what the error code was, so he had come with a new control board to replace the malfunctioning one in our washer. HOWEVER, because we could not get the washer to act during his 30 minutes in our house, he stated that he was no allowed to replace the control board since he didn't witness it himself being problematic. He did check our outlet voltage and found it be a proper 120 volts, which leaves only one other option for the E2B error code - that being a bad control board. As my wife was updating me over the phone what was going on, I implored her not let him leave without fixing the washer, but there was nothing she could do. In the end, he left without fixing the problem, and sure enough later that same morning while she was doing a load of laundhry, the washer malfunctioned again.
Obviously she called back that same day and was told that because the technician hadn't returned from his day yet, that our order was still "open" and we had to call back the next morning to get someone to come back out. So the next morning (Thursday now), and we were told the earliest they could send someone out was Tuesday now. This infuriated me so much that I called an 800 number for A&E to complain that he was just here in our house yesterday and left WITHOUT fixing it, and now we have to wait 5 more days for someone to come out again. In lieu of my frustration, she put me on hold to see if they could find something sooner for us, but eventually came back only to tell me Tuesday was the earliest they had.
I found it unbelievable that we were able to provide them the error code, AND the technician was able to verify the outlet voltage was what it should be, yet refused to fix the problem (control board) only because he didn't see it malfunction. Why the hell would we make this ### up and wait for a tech to come out if it wasn't really happening? Unbelievable. They said it's their process for controlling costs to not replace parts that don't need replaced. In the end though, our time is wasted again, as is the technician's, and they have to pay him twice to do the same job including the fuel expense to come to our house twice, and we get to be without a washing machine for 8 days instead of just 2 because of this ridiculous process A&E abides by. It seems that every time something I buy from hhgregg goes bad there's always a loophole with the warranty I've purchased.

misleading extended service plan
Purchased 55" Hit Plasma tv. from store on 3/14/2006. Salesperson recommended to purchase an extended service protection plan so to protect my investment. He said that if anything goes wrong they would replace it and it would be wise to do so. I did for the sum of $699.00. On or about Feburary the 12, 2011 the tv picture went out. So I called the store and they told me that the company that was offering the service plan had been replaced because of the poor service that they had replaced them with another company and that I should contact them myself for any repairs or replacement.
I only contacted the store the one time and since then I have dealt with the service rep. at ph. # [protected] and the actual repair company [protected]. When the repairman came out he said they had to order the parts and it would be about 2 weeks and I would have to have the tv taken off the wall for him to service. I did pay for a custom install as the tv was way to heavy for me to do by myself and now it is up to me to perpare for them to service. This is another problem as I'mm 63 yrs. old and the tv weighs 110lbs. It has now been almost six weeks and all I hear is we are waiting for the parts. I did call customer service on 3/22/[protected] (John) and they checked and said their hands are tied and I would have to just wait. I feel like I have been given the run around and the service plan was sold to me was misleading to say the least. No one should have to go through this much trouble to get any problem resolved. I would like to have the TV. replaced and/ or refund the amount of the extended service plan. The case # [protected] through the service company. This is the first time I have ever used the BBB I hope you can help.
We purchased a frontload Sampson washer in 2013...in 2016 in began leaking. The extended warranty is a joke. The technician can 3 an half hours after the time promised and told me I was not properly cleaning the washer. Originally the warranty person that handled the claim told me there is a recall on the pump. Told me it would be a week till parts come in. The technician knew nothing about the parts yet we waited over a week till parts were suppose to be ordered. The tech closed the claim and they did nothing else. The extended plan is a joke don't purchase one.
I purchased a computer from HHGregg in 2013. Within the first 90 days I turned it on and nothing happened. I asked the clerk when I bought it, if they had in store service. Was told that they did. When I got to the store they looked at me as if I had two heads when I told them that I was told that they had in store service. They plugged the computer in and it went up in smoke. They then told me that I would have to send it back to the company.
When I protested they did call the tech, and he came out to fix it. I thought they should replace it as I had just purchased it.No such luck. The tech had to order parts, another wait..After a week or so had to come back and take care of something else.Thank goodness it has been working since this repair. Hope it continues.
Don't feel so bad. I've been waiting to find out what they are going to do about my 51" Samsung HD TV. Monday 5/16 will be starting the 7th week and they still don't know what they are going to do with it. Don't ever buy anything from hhgregg. They don't stand behind their product. As far as an concerned they are nothing but a bunch of lying thieves.
I have an LG refrigerator whose compressor has blown up twice within the span of 4 years. My extended warranty covers the item for 5 years. The warranty company is Warrantech and I purchased the unit at HHGregg. While in all honesty I cannot complain about HHG, I cannot feel the same about Warrantech. Their personnel treat you like an idiot, with supervisors on meetings 24/7, no return calls and mostly employees attempting to show you false empathy! Warrantech will repair an item however costly, instead of "considering the next step" as they put it. Super poor service. Their practices need to be addressed and stopped.
we also have Warrentech for our service plan to repair our appliances too. the phone number that is on our service plan certificate is [protected]. Maybe you could try that one but even so the way that they take care of business is uncalled for. We have had problems with them double dipping for the monthly payments for the extended warranty. When you call the office number to talk to someone they put you on hold forever and never answer. The company is well sold on the TV but in reality they suck when it comes to taking care of the customer. Can't wait to be done with the whoile company and will never buy extended warrantys from anyone again. When it breaks down will have to do without or go buy another. Keep another appliance repair person on hand and send Warrentech the repair bill.
I have call warrentech for a repair on an icemaker for whirlpool frig. On feb. 1, 2016 it is now march 4th, 2016. This is an ice maker it should not be hard to do. The service company that is going to do this repair is all star [protected], never, never returns calls, my appointment was this afternoon i am writting this at 5:so pm no service man, no phone call to let me know he was not coming. Nobody at the office to talk to. First they said they were waiting for the part, well i called whirlpool myself the part was always in stock so what were they waiting for? after- market! well i will let you know how much longer this will be gong on.
I purchased an LG flat screen in June of 2014. The picture went. My son seems to think it was the backlight.I called LG they said the manufacturers warranty ran out if I purchased a plan I would have to call them. I called them put my claim in and they said someone will contact me in 1-2 business days. I waited 3 days and called them, the service repair place, by that time they were closed. I get a message the following day telling me that that they don't have a claim. I called the warranty place and I explained to them what the service center said the woman who was so rude then told me to hold on and transferred me to someone else who had no clue why I was transferred to her. I explained again she then transferred to to the service department where I had to leave a message explaining what happened once again. Just yesterday I called the warranty place once again and they put a call into the service center. I got a call from the service center telling me that they do not service tv's purchsed from hhgregg! Needless to say I know have to wait another 1-2 business days for another service center to contact me. It's been a week. We are bummed without our 50 inch :/
I have had my dishwasher fixed 8times since 2011 and have had such a runaround I lost my mind ! They had me calling warren tech I ended up buying service plan from fridgedaire and then I got it fixed right ! Now I have a problem with my refrigerator and they say they don't fix refrigerators ! Here we go again ! Don't buy anything from hhgregg first of all and just buy extended plans through the company not their company's, you will end up pulling you hair out ! I am calling bbb!
we purchased a new washer and dryer in 2013 the washer has been repaired three times since then and still can't use it all i get is the run around and no answers . They promised to replace the washer 4 days ago . As of today I have received no response from them.We also purchased a 2year extended warranty with these items. Why do they treat customers like this. Will never purchase again from this company
Sadly, this has always been SOP. HHG uses a 3rd party - the stores are out of the loop. Repair people across the board will not mess with existing installs due to liability. That is, the 3rd party service company pays for the repair, not any install or reinstall. The store should step up and handle this otherwise - talk to the District Manager.
worst company ever
Listen first of all, Their customer service is horrible, Their cashiers are very rude, and might i say very ghetto. I purchased a tv and delivery was not untill 2 weeks. What company in their right mind what deliver in teo weeks. I kept calling to have someone fix my problem. When I spoke to The Main Manager he was very rude and didnt even listen to what I was telling him. Very unprofessional. Another thing I must say is when I was in the store purchasing I noticed how the employees were treated, they were treated horribly. I felt so bad for that sales person, he was very nice and he happened to ask a question to the head honcho, and he answered him back very rude and unprofessional. Moral of my story, horrible customer service, bad management, Needs to take some lessons on how to treat employees and customers. Otherwise Hhgregg or HHdumbass store, You will never make it big in florida. Hope this compan

not given what was promised
I spent over 1 hr discussing wireless phones for my daughter. I finally decided to let her get the Droid 3 even though there were 4g phones available ONLY because the Verizon Rep. told me I did not have to worry about data overages since it would get 4g for the cost of 2g for $30 a month. It did justify me letting her get the older phone since it still got the extra data (even if it wasn't used). The rep took info, upgrade, set everything up to just turn on Christmas and transfer data to new phone. I specifically ask him numerous times about data and having it set up with promotion then purchased replacement plan (about 350 total before I walked out). I have now been dealing with this data package ordeal since Dec. 26th. Verizon said since its not the 4g it doesn't apply go back to rep. I have dealt with rep from Verizon/HHGregg on 12/26, 27, 28, 30th 2011 told to call in 1 week time to deal with the bosses. Jan 3, told thought it was handled give me till Monday I WILL CALL YOU AT HOME, Again NO RETURN CALL. Jan 10th Called again-he's off call tomorrow. Promo runs out on Jan 15th. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Now its just the principle of it and I refuse to settle for less when the rep for Verizon who knew their company inside and out (his words) promised me the 4g for 2g data package then that is what I should get. Just don't think they can put you off and we'll always go away. I won't -just for the mere fact you cannot treat customers that way once you've made the sale and got your money. Would love to show up with a huge sign in front of the store just to let customers know what happened. Sad that this is the only way people get things resolved just to get you to disappear.

dont know what they doin
HH Gregg sold me a computer and it does not work. I told them I just want a new one. They know who I am. The employees were there when I went to purchase it. They are well aware of my issues. No the tags are no longer on it. I don’t think I have the styrofoam it came in either. You see I made the silly assumption that the computer would actually work. Their service is dismal. I have to keep on going down to the store everytime I have an issue. Do they not realize that gas is not cheap?
AS I speak with the customer service people the first thing they say is ” Did you try…” You know what? I shouldn’t have to try X, Y, and Z. The computer should just work. I don’t think I am asking for too much here. I just want a computer that works. Do the right thing HH Gregg and live up to this customer service persona you are trying to live up to and give me a computer that works!
warranty
On Oct 14, 2011 I called HHgregg for service on refrigerator, was told A&E service will come to my home to service it on Oct 18, 2011, from 8-12 know one showed up after waiting all day I called [protected] and was told I had the wrong date my service was instead on Oct 20, 2011, I was told Oct 18, 2011. A service tech came out to fix my ice maker, on Oct 20, 2011 I was told he needed to order some parts to fix refrigerator, they ordered and parts and they was mailed to my home, A&E schudule an appoinment for Oct 27, 2011 bewtween 8-12, tech worked on refrigerator for 1 hours only to tell me the wrong parts was ordered and more parts needed to be ordered. Service tech ordered part they also came to my home and new appointment was Nov 8, 2011 at 8-12, I called A&E [protected] at 9am and was told I was on the schudule from 8-12, which is the only time I have schudule in past and was told YES, I am on the schudule for today at 8-12, I called at 12:30 to find out why a service tech was not there because it was after 12noon, This time I was told I am on the schudule from 1-5, I never schudule from that time and it was changed to reflex the no show, I am not available for that time. I purchased this refrigerator from hhgregg and I hold them responsible for service. My refrigerator was purchase on 02/20/2010 and has a 5 yr warranty.I think this is irresponible and fraudulent and misleading.Hhgregg sells warranties and service with A&E sometimes they use other service companies. How long must I go without ice? Heard from Service center to resolve problem they send tech to home to install new parts Ice maker still not fix, when I called for another appointment on [protected] gave me appointment for 11-21-2011 no show now I was told my appoinment is 11-22-2011 instead after recieving tape reminder for 11-21-2011
bad installation experience
I ordered an $1800 oven from HHGregg . I scheduled delivery for the next day. I work from home and am home 2/3 of the day. Scheduled for Tues, they called and the window I was given was for lunchtime (when I would not be home). I rescheduled for the next day and said I would be home all day and gone in the evening. They called the next day and gave me the evening window. I rescheduled for the next day and told them the same thing: I would be home all day and gone in the evening. They called Thurs and gave me the evening window. I rescheduled for Friday and said I would not be home at lunchtime, and Fri they called and scheduled for lunchtime. I finally got exhausted by it and called to talk to manager. He scheduled for Sunday before noon to accommodate me. They came first thing on Sunday, the installers were polite and efficient, but they did not have the right gas line. They had someone deliver one from the store and they brought the wrong size! The installers have now left me with the oven but no gas line. I have missed breakfast with my family for my mother-in-law who is leaving the country tomorrow and the oven is not even working! To say I am fed up with HHGregg is an understatement. They called to schedule a service for the oven which would be tonight sometime between 4 and 8. So I can sit around all night waiting for someone to show up - just how I want to spend a Sunday night. I will never use HHGregg again. I don't need to be getting daily calls to see if whatever time they have picked out of a hat for me might work with my schedule. Their installation process might work for someone who can turn their lives upside down to accommodate them, but for a real person with a real job, real children, and a busy life this experience was NOT WORTH IT!
I know its off putting to be rushed by a salesperson, but at least they WANT to help. And yes they want to make a sale! that's their job, you always have the option to say no. Think of it as your personal shopper. I would walk them through with me and ask questions about everything. lol it a far cry from Home DEPOT or Lowes where you can never find anyone and they know absolutely nothing about the products.
It was first time being at an HHGREGG and i was attacked by salesperson as I walked in the door. I stated I just wanted to browse but she would not leave me alone. Manager stated that is how they do it and that they have a different clientele. Stated maybe I should go to Walmart or Best Buy. No doubt it will be my last visit there.
The mananger of this store, Shane Wall, is unprofessional, arrogant and just plain rude to customers. He accused me of lying when I did or said nothing and should not be in a management position and truly doees not care about customers. He reaally needs to be fired immediately.
I WAS IN THE REGENCY STORE AND MY SALES GUY ( A LITTLE VANILLA FELLA ) KEPT SNIFFING AND BLOWING AIR FROM HIS SMALL NOSTRILS! VERY ANNOYING! GO TO BEST BUY AT LEAST THEY BLOW THEIR NOSES!

I purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher plus 5 year warranty plus a professional installation from H H Gregg. It has been 5 1/2 years now and a repairman came to fix my dishwasher and informed me that I needed a new motor and a new chopper and that H H Gregg installed my machine improperly using only one hose instead of two and not the hoses that should have come with my machine. The one hose was short and caused my garbage disposal food to flow back into my dishwasher. This caused water to remain in the dishwasher and break down the seals. H H Gregg's corporate office located in Indianapolis gave me a rude, condescending, unhelpful supervisor named Joyce Apple to speak with. Joyce refused to let me speak with her boss and directed me to customer service on line. If I charged my clients $1, 167.00 and they were repeat clients from other large appliance purchases but I spoke to them rudely and gave them no other avenue to resolve their problem, I would be out of business. How kind the salesmen are on the front end and how terrible the "customer care" is on the back end.
yes i had this person snot on me also, please use you sleeve next time
yes the same fellow helped me also, disgusting please use a tissue! not your sleeve, wont snot here again!spell check shop here again!
Yay walmart!
You know I love how people ### about not having any help and waiting twenty minutes for someone to walk up and then complain when someone offers them help when they walk in the store. It's a lose lose situation.
warranty
Do not purchase the warranties from HH Gregg. They are a waste of time and money. We have now been burned twice. Should have never given them another chance. Their customer service is also horrible! Just getting the word out. Had we done our research, we would have seen that they have way too many complaints to trust them. Wish I would have known all of this 8 yrs ago when we started buying from them. We will not go back, giving Best Buy a chance.

HH Gregg sells you extended warranties and will do nothing to help you get your TV fixed or replaced. For about 2 months now I have had no TV. The repair man said Hitachi does not make the board for my 57” TV any longer, the so called warranty I paid $400 for said a board needs repaired. The repairman says they can’t fix the board because its intermittent problems. Called HH Gregg about 6 times or more and they said they couldn’t help me. They sold the extended warranty to another company and they are out of the picture. When I bought the TV with extended warranty I was told new parts for repair or I would get a new TV. I have now been told that if they would replace the TV I would not get the same brand and it would not cost the $2400 I paid, they have to depreciate the TV because its not new any longer, and I may end up with around a $1000 TV but they might send out another repairman to recheck it out and they cant give me any idea how long this all will take, and there is no time limit!
Understand that HHG, BBY and others lose money on the early Black Friday sales. Most of the these customers historically do not buy accessories or extra warranties. Hence, the Store Managers looking at the bottom line put customer service on the back burner and look to make up profits later in the day and night.
Hhgregg has made my black Friday terrible! They had false advertising, terrible management, terrible customer service, and didn't make an effort to help me. I was going to get a 4th generation Ipod that was in their black Friday add(false advertising) waited in line for 2 hours, got into the store and they told us it wasn't supposed to be in there(terrible customer service)! Never helped us with anything, told us there was nothing they could do(terrible management) We also didn't get a 32" t.v. from them that we were going to get because of it, so it's also there loss because they let us walk out the door with about $500! So I will not trust them and hopefully you will too!
Good luck - Best Buy has a zillion complaints and farms their products out to a third party for service, too. Want better shopping experience - shop online.
humiliating employee treatment
HH Gregg as an organization reminds me of the old school communism found in 20th Century Russia. That is to say they dont give a hoot about their employees' personal lives; on the contrary, they think you exist only for the benefit of their company, and that your personal life or any of your circumstances dont matter one iota.
I worked last Black Friday and the several days after, logging 38 hours in the store in only the three days! During that time I sold 27, 000 worth of merchandise- and thought a nice compensation was forthcoming. However after this extraordinary effort, the folowing check I made minimum wage for the two week period.
I was later tipped off by the other employees that during sales, like Black Friday, New Years, etc. they ( HH Gregg ) raise the " landed cost" on their merchandise and thereby reducing the profit, even though all of the stuff is bought beforehand.
In other words, by doing this they steal from their own employees. SO much for loyalty and killing yourself every holiday- and, by the way you are there every waining hour of every single holiday!
Whats sad is that by the weakening of the Dept of Labor and Unions, many other companies might imitate HH Greggs work practices because they are profitible- but at the expense of human beings. Its a sad statement of where our society and country are heading.

He's complaining about a commission not a bonus-big difference!
pushy sales
It was first time being at an HHGREGG and i was attacked by salesperson as I walked in the door. I stated I just wanted to browse but she would not leave me alone. Manager stated that is how they do it and that they have a different clientele. Stated maybe I should go to Walmart or Best Buy. No doubt it will be my last visit there.
go to hell scammers! im one of the victim!
you know what the #1 complaint from customers are? they cant get help! sthese people are not attacking you you sound stupid . they came after you with a bat? no, all they said was welcome or can i help you. you wasn't buying anything anyway
Seriously shop online if you're the hermit type that freaks out when people approach you to help.
That's their business model. Same with PC Richard & Sons. Shop online at Amazon - with peer reviews and hassle free, why subject yourself to this.
Of course if you had walked in the door and browsed around and then had a question but couldn't find anyone to ask you'd still be on this site ### for no reason. It's there job to stay in the area of the customer in case a question arrives. Hhgregg has more televisions on display than most local competitors combined with everything ranging from Internet TV to 3D television and these associates are here to explain the different technologys that you have no clue about.
poor service
How does this company stay in business - all of my friends have complained and now I understand why - how can one sell products that you dont have, or if you do buy it they cant deliver it, And if they finally do get it delivered - it is damaged either by the installer or the delivery trucks - how does this company stay in business ? now I understand why all are saying stay away from this company - wow - I will go to one of the competitors that will at least live up to what they say. DO not buy from this company ! Word of advice to hhgregg - get it together or leave -cause you are hurting the consumer and in these times, none of us can afford the issues you create
WHAT KIND OF COMPANY IS THIS - THEY CANT DELIVER WHAT THEY PROMISE, AND WHEN THEY DO THE PRODUCT IS DAMAMGED - ALSO, THEY SELL A SERVICE PLAN BUT DONT BACK IT UP - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY ! AS A FORMER EMPLOYEE - ONE WORD SUMS IT UP - EMBARRASING !

Me and my husband went to hhgregg and spent $4, 026.63. We have got the poores service anyone could ever get, I had to call them 4 times to get them to send me booklets on the applanices that i bought, after the 4th time of calling i recieved my booklets a week later, but all of the booklets were not there. Also they were surpose to call me for a service call on one of the app. (make a note i bought thse 529/2010) they have never returned my call. I have told other people do not go there and buy anything, they do not stand behind anything they say, sorry but the best thing i can say is everbody puts down car salespersons HHGREGG IS TWICE AS BAD. I am gettting in touch with the BBB today they have got on my last nerve. DON'T GO THERE TO BUY ANYTHING YOU MAY END UP LIKE US.
The staff at the store and the customer service call in number are you best friends until the sale is closed and the credit card charged. We had two problems, both of which were absolutely going to be looked after. 1. Delivery people for our new washer and dryer tracked dirt through our family room (did not wipe their feet before entering our home) We told the driver that the carpet was stained, noted it on the form they had us sign and the driver even took pictures. I followed it up with a phione call, was assured that they really "care" and would make it right. I would hear from them within a couple of business days. Well, it's 10 days later, have heard from no one, so today we had our family room carpet cleaned on our own.
Problem number 2. They screwed up a deliver of a dishwasher. Sent out a unit with missing parts. We refused the delivery, sent it back and were assured that a new one (with all its parts) would be delivered the next day (Monday). Next day comes...no delivery, no phone call. Called the store was assured that it would now be sent out on Wednesday and to compensate us for our inconvenience the would issue a credit of $50 against the cost of the dishwasher. Salesman told me that and the sales manager told me that. Guess what? No credit. So on the basis of scewing us around for a $50 dollar credit and not following through on the delivery complaint, after spending over $7, 000.00 with them I will NEVER shop there again. Worse yet for them I will tell as many people as I can about the lousy service and those people that I tell will tell others and for the sake of a few dollars hhgregg will ulitimately be the bigger loser
Details would be nice. What are these so called products they don't have in stock. I got pissed the other day because Wal Mart didn't have cheese. I'll never shop there again because they were out of the kind of cheese I eat. Sounds ignorant? Re-read your comment again and notice the coincidence.
I'm assuming that you purchased open box products since you didn't have the manuel with them, right? If that's the case then the store actually doesn't have to send you anything. They actually went out of their way to send you those documents. You can easily get all that information online including the entire instruction manuel online at the manufactors website. If they haven't called you back then call them and quit ###.
