2 highlights puzzle club magazines that I did not order and I keep getting invoices for
I received 2 shipments from highlights puzzle club magazines that I did not order and now I keep getting these invoices to pay $30 for 2 magazines. i do not want to pay for something that I didn't order and I received the 2 magazines in a terrible shape anyway duet o the rain (they were in front of our house for some reason and not in the mailbox) and I discarded them.

To whom it may concern,
I have received an email and bill in mail for a magazine subscription that was gifted to me (really my children). Billed on 4/16/21. I am requesting termination of my subscription and cancellation of bill and any requests made to collection agencies that may affect my credit. I do not wish to continue my subscription after this gift expires.

I sent a card for a free sample book to see if it was something my daughter would like yet I was billed for that and they started sending other cheap things to my house and charging me for them without my knowledge. What can I do? They're trying to charge late fees and everything but I NEVER got a subscription. This is so ridiculous. I use to buy their books at Walmart but I can promise this business won't get any of my money ever again.

Top secret adventures
I was sent information in the mail for this company along with a "free offer". I have been billed repeatedly for a "subscription" I did not sign up for. They have false advertising practices and unfair billing policies. There are a ton of complaints out there from parents who experience the same issue. I have complained to them, BBB, Facebook, and now the complaints board. I do not want to keep getting a bill and threatening letters from this company.

I subscribed to this magazine for a whole year to support my daughter's school. This was unbelievably endorsed by her teacher.
After a few months, they sent additional books and asked me to pay for them, else return them and personally shoulder the return shipping cost. Which I did. They said I signed up for those books but I didn't.
I am still receiving statements from them 'til now. I suppose this is their marketing tactic to lure more people into paying for their books. The product is nice but I don't want extra stuff my daughter doesn't really use and I'm not putting extra budget on this recyclables.
unauthorized credit card charges
I noticed I was charged $25.88 for something. I did not give permission to charge me for something for that amount. I want my money put back into my account! ASAP! Todays date: 6/01/2019 This was done via survey to recieve a $1000 gift card. I'M STEAMING over this! I saw nothing that said I would be charged $25.88, and never got my gift card anyway
top secret adventures
I received something from Highlights telling me I could receive a "free" copy of one of the Top Secret Adventures. I did not sign up for a membership. I received an Australian Top Secret Adventure kit on May 2, 2019. It was a surprise when a bill later arrived for the amount of $21.91 on May 7, 2019. It was also a surprise to see that shipping cost $18.93. That is a ridiculous cost for shipping. I want to cancel this unauthorized subscription. I checked Better Business Bureau®, and see that others have been caught in this same scam. I expect that Highlight will negate the bill they sent me. I am not interested in a membership and did not sign up for one in the Top Secret Adventure Club.

I have been receiving Highlights magazines and their bills every once in a while. Our kids are older and do not remember subscribing to one. We have requested them to stop subscription many times but they keep send them, I am at a loss of how to stop this and it has become a absolute nuisance. I have complained to the school Principal and she is working to take action.

I Paid Twice For a Subscription And They Won’t Credit My Card or Refund My Money
I was billed twice, I sent my credit card number twice. I was sent a coming due notice so I mailed a check in the amount of $29.64. The check cleared on 10/31/12 and they debited my account on 10/31/12 for$29.64. I called to obtain a credit was informed that they could refund the check within two weeks but could not “credit” my card.
I asked to speak with a supervisor and was not allowed to. I asked Abby to cancel my order and refund the entire $59.29 without delay or I would file a complaint. At the point, she informed me that she had to end the call because I had made “that” statement. As she hung up, she informed me that I would have a full refund within two weeks.
It’s been over two weeks and I have not received a credit or a refund. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, and now I need to know what to do to obtain my refund.

I Remember thse magazines from the Doctors office when i was a kid.
I picked up a few and the Grandkids loved them.
I have 4 subscriptions from this company for my grandchildren. 2 of which I pay by check yearly, 2 of which I pay monthly. These more expensive subscriptions run about $15 a month each.
No matter what how much I pay them, The bill always shows a
previous balance, $.00 payments/credits Balance due (twice the monthly $)
This is paid on my Bill Pay account, so I set up the payments when I started the subscription.
Turns out that it is not a Monthly Subscription, Their billing cycle is closer to 25/28 days ... Ya it's one extra payment a year... not a big deal. When I called Customer Service, To check if indeed my last monthly payment was credited correctly, The Gal on the phone said that "it happens it everybody... My payment was getting in to late to be credited before the bill was printed."
I went into my bill pay and move the date up a week. Problem solved! ...
Not really. Waited a couple of months to let the billing cycle catch up with my payments,
No Change, I went ahead and moved the Payment date up another week.
No Change. I 've decide that my bill pay is smart enough to finish out the subscription and I'll not renew. I'm sure that I can find a more ethical Company to deal with.
The Real issue is That I am able to catch this and deal with it. I was helping my father with his monthly bills, it crossed my mind, That my father who is 89 and in good mental health still wants to pay the "Entire amount due" and would go ahead and pay that full amount. Repeated, Every month...
And I'll bet the majority of Subscribers are older. Grandparents, that remember Highlights from their childhood...
Now I can't prove anything and have not done enough research, but Just the fact that no activity shows on my bill, no matter when I pay my bill, Tells me that someone is hiding something, It's the only logical explanation for not meeting standard business and accounting practices.
This company is a scam! I unsbuscribed but they kept sending stuff. it says for free but they will send you a bill. I paid 3 times for the magazines that we did not order just to get rid of them. but they still keep sending! I have here another bill for the stuff that we did not requested. They sent a free stuff but it is on the bill for $2 plus the new one they just sent. Ugh.

Googling is a wonderful thing
We are all being targeted by this company...why do you think they are in dentist offices etc?...they offload them from their homes and office addresses. My sis paid for a year subscription for my two kids, the subscription ran out but the deliveres didn't and was sent bill after bill... I ignored becase I know my rights! Then they sent me (they, whom ever represent for their product) a collection notice. I everthing thing on PDF

This company sends Puzzle Books and other "club" magazines that I did not order. They bill for items not received and items that they were NOT authorized to send then bill me for it. They have also sent me a letter from a collection agency. When I paid that bill in FULL---to keep my credit from being tarnished---they then sent me another bill to pay. I called them and was informed that because I have paid the collection agency bill, I was enrolled again in their "Puzzle Club"! What does it take to stop these out of control mailings?

These guys are out of control. I have had to call twice and cancel. They still send me bills and material. I return to sender, they still send me bills. I call and stay on wait for over 30 minutes.
Same here. I have been getting bills still but called and told them not to send any more magazines months ago. I even paid the amount due even though I never ordered anything to begin with just to get them off my back. But then I get another payment due notice! It makes no sense!

Paid through School
I ordered Highlights for Children in 2007 or 2008 through an elementary school for my cousin that I keep on week ends and had it send to my address at 19 Beau Lane Front Royal, Va. 22630. I made the check out to the school for this magazine. Now I am receiving a bill for $ 26.04 and is expected to be paid by 03/23/09. I DID NOT RENEW THIS MAGAZINE. I bank with a Credit Union and sure I can get a copy of the check if necessary.

Not Paying
I'm only paying for the magazines that they have sent me. I dont agree that i have to pay in full for the whole year that i agree to. So go back to them and see how many they sent me and bill me. If i pay the whole amount then i better get the rest of my order. I think that is the fair way. I only received about 2 or 3 magazines of Highlights For Children.
I was charged for a subscription to Highlights magazine for my granddaughter over 2 weeks ago and she has not received any magazines. Can not get any response from them. Their phone lines are always busy and they do respond to emails
