I am in a total state of shock about this company. I applied for a job and was told I was going to be hired and they needed to start the paperwork. I then recieved an email from hireright for a background check. Sure, no problem I thought...Boy was I wrong. I have been a truck driver for 33 yrs. I passed the background check for my TWIC and my HAZMAT. Hireright began asking for the impossible..they wanted documentation in the form of a W-2, 1099 or paystub for a company I began employment with in 1998..13 yrs ago! How am I suppose to supply that type of documentation from 13 yrs ago? I would have to go thru IRS or Social security to get that information and that could take weeks. Well hireright more or less told me "to bad". If I could not supply the documentation in the time allotted then they would close my background check and notify the company it is incomplete. So you know what that means...I JUST GOT LOST OUT OF ON A JOB I AM VERY WELL QUALIFIED FOR! They won't even call my past employers to verify. I even gave them the phone number of the employer who taught me how to drive truck in 1978. How many of you keep your paystubs or w-2's for 13 yrs? The worse part about all this run around..the job was only for 6 weeks...Every time I tried to talk with someone at hireright, I would always get a different person. I have emailed, never a response. And they wonder why there is so much unemployment!

I am a truck driver and I've also gone through a similar situation I have 12 years of experience and now I can not find a good job, all I can do is drive I destroyed an ankle 13 years ago . I've never had accidents. but I changed jobs many times in the past 3 years. I get started working for FedEx ground 3 years after that I spent 7 years at FedEx National LTL and in late 2009 the company fired me for reporting 3 incidents in the same year.2 scratches in front of the trailer, with the fifth wheel and a scratch on the hood of a truck with the hook of my truck. I worked with them for 7 years, 14 hours a day I think U.S. is destroying itself I do not have a choice but to claim SSI as a disabled and move aside while others do my work. good luck
For those of you who stumpled upon this site, and others, and read all the horrible commnets about HireRight, I wanted to share my experience. I was offered a great job with a company on August 29th, contingent on drug test and background check. I submitted all my documents on the 29th, and then read all of the horror stories regarding their services. I must admit, I was very concerned, not becuase I had anything bad in my background, just did not have a strong comfort level after all that I read. Again, I submitted my on line info on the 29th, did not receive a request for any additional information, and was informed that I formally got the job on Thurs. Sept 6 (5 business days from when I submitted my info). Anyways, im sure you all have valid complaints, but I just wanted to share my experience, for the next person who has a job offer with a HireRight background check, and that none of the stuff people were complainng about happened to me. It was painless, besides the pain I inflicted on myself by worrying! Best of luck to all!
Hirerights is unconstitutional_ Congratulations on opening your eyes and see the slave society you are living in
I am sorry to hear about driver treatment at the hands of hireright. Companies using them to meet their DOT background check requirements are doing themselves a disservice. It is a lot of work to do the checks required by DOT and getting harder with every new requirement. More and more trucking companies try to shove their response duties off on these big screeners. This is the first one I encountered that refuses to give out driver background free of charge. Other systems at least allow you to get a five day turn around to get it by mail and charge the five to ten bucks if you want it right away. Hireright charges a minimum of twenty bucks and makes you sign your company up with them just to get one driver background check! Seeing how companies are treated it does not surprise me to hear that driver applicants are getting a bad wrap from them.
As I am also a truck driver hireright has also costed me 2 jobs even after I was hired there lack cause Ftl to let me go ..is there a lawyer who has assisted in making wrongs right...peterbuilt75773
