Hockerty Shipping quality and refunds

Hello, I made an online purchase from Hockerty, a website that sells menswear. They announced free shipping. When the package arrived I was stunned to finda 166 euro expense to be payed by me in customs. After three weeks exchanging emails with four different people from hockerty, who I am not even sure talked to each other, and receiving dozens of emails either in english or in spanish, god knows why, and calling DHL to have them repeat payment request, they agreed to pay a part of it only, leaving me aprox. 50 euro at loss. A exhausting blunder and a terrible experience. After that, the garments arrived and were both completly unwearable despite the fact that I was extra carefull with measurements in several ways I can further elaborate if necessary as I know a bit of classic menswear measurements. I have been at this for the entire last month of 2020 and absolutly do not want another shipment or any replacement garments from them. I don t even want them to refund the extra money I payed for the customs blunder. However, I have to demand a refund, something that is not in their policy. I wish to take legal action and repport this situation as publicly as possible. How should I proceed ? Best regards.

Hockerty suit

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

Terrible quality suits, they do not fit, are not tailor made and charge you for returns to fix there problems.

I have now been asked to pay for alterations which is only credit due to the fact i had to return my first suit. They made the mistake and now i am paying to resolve there issues. 2 suits now and neither fit according to my measurements but its consistently costing me money !

Hockerty bespoke tailoring

I would caution anyone and everyone not to take the risk dealing with this dreadful company.

As a disabled man, I find shopping for clothes quite difficult and so I prefer to shop online. I came across the Hockerty website and it sounded like a fantastic option, so I had a local tailor take my measurements and placed an order for a jacket and coat from Hockerty.

Everything seemed great until the garments arrived. I excitedly opened the parcels and tried on the jacket first. It was huge and wrapped around me twice, had giant shoulder pads that wouldn't have been out of place on the set of Dynasty and sleeves like a kimono.

Thoroughly disappointed, I tried on the coat to see if that was better and to my dismay it was worse, it was even bigger. I could use it as a tent and the difference in length between the top of the sleeves and the bottom of the sleeves made it appear to have penguin wings rather than sleeves and made it impossible to move my arms more than a few inches from my sides.

I contacted Hockerty hoping this had been some mistake in their system and assuming they would apologise and remake my garments. How wrong was I? Firstly, their customer services are laboriously slow to reply and have very poor grasp of English. Initially they refused to remake the garments and insisted that the only option was for me to take the garments to be altered at a local tailor and they would refund the costs of the alterations.

I wasn't at all happy with this but complied and took the garments to the same tailor who took my original measurements for me and their response was initially to laugh at how bad the garments were, and their advice was that alterations were totally impossible as the garments were made so poorly, and, in their opinion, I should seek a refund.

I immediately contacted Hockerty and informed of this and asked for a refund and to arrange for returning the garments. Two days later I was told that a refund was not an option, but they would remake the garments if I would provide them with photographs of me wearing the garments from the front, side and back. I was very reluctant to accept the remake given the state of the first attempt but as they were not willing to budge I gave them all the correct measurements again and pointed out how their measurements differed from the measurements I had provided. I also advised that due to my disability I was unable to stand to take photographs of myself and I lived alone. Furthermore, I wasn't happy to have photographs of my flying around the world.

Several emails went back and forth over the course of a few weeks and Hockerty refused to budge from their position and even suggested at one point that it was probably my disability that made the garments poor fitting.

On research, I have discovered that Hockerty is a front for a Chinese company who were previously called Tailor4less and obviously changed the trading name due to the masses of bad reviews they have all over the web in the old name with people describing the same situation as I am in with this company. It appears that the orders are not actually made by professional tailors, but measurements are computer generated then stitched together in Chinese factories.

I have basically lost nearly £300 and I am unable to sue given their location. I am however pursuing the matter with their UK web hosting company and banking suppliers along with UK Trading standards authorities.

Hockerty suit

600 wasted on two suits for no reason other than their messup

I specifically requested two suits with a wide peak lapel off of the company website using their drop-down menu options. It was a straightforward order. I receive the suits and the lapels were all wrong, skinny and so ugly. Not to mention the sizes were way off on both particular suits but I am not complaining about that only about the LAPELS which cannot be changed This company only offered to give me 20% off on a new suit as if I will ever order from them again.

Hockerty no refunds even for their uncorrectable errors

After my suit was made wrong, I had to pay to return it. The sizing system used by Hockerty resulted in a suit that was way too small for me. Then the company discontinued the fabric I had selected and insisted I order a different suit. Hockerty refuses to issue a refund for any reason, even their own uncorrectable errors. This is outrageous. I do not recommend shopping on Hockerty.com

Hockerty tailored suit

Horrible! Avoid at all costs!
We have ordered a suit and a shirt for my fiancee for our wedding in July. What a disappointment it was when the package has arrived and none of the measurements was executed correctly by that I mean we did not make the mistake, our measurements were correct ones but Hockerty seemed to be unable to read from the profile and made a horrible mistake from 2 to 15 cm in each of them! On the top of that the shirt came in regular fit when we have ordered a slim fit with a stomach of 100 cm instead of requested 84 cm (!). Moreover, I have not seen the sloppier job with the shoulder pads - they were poking out seemed to be squeezed into shoulders creating clown like puffy sleeves. After many long discussions with the customer service that seemed to be using standalone phrases instead of actually reading what the customer is writing, we managed to get them to re-do the suit and the shirt. I have specifically indicated every measure and the mistake that they have made in an email and for my asking to confirm that measures will be correct I have received an answer "Oh but we can see from the picture how we need to fix". Well that eye measuring technique did not work, although they did manage to somehow correct the pants, the jacket and the shirt were as awful as they can be. None of the measures again was taken correctly! Moreover, they corrected from 100 cm to 80 cm instead of the correct and multiple times emphasised stomach measurement. On the top of that we had to pay 30 euros for the return shipping for the mistake that THEY HAVE MADE.
We are outraged and disappointed. Now we are left 300 euros lighter and without a suit for a wedding. Horrible, horrendous and disgraceful enterprise. I wonder if all of those "good" reviews are authentic or simply paid. If I knew, I would rather pay 800 euro to someone who actually knows how to sew.

Hockerty tailoring/ continued from my post on june 26, 2017

"Hockerty.com" - previously "tailor4less.com" - produces tailored fashion. Do NOT go there. ABSOLUTELY NOT. YOU WILL LOSE OUT. Great website, bad product. Not honest, no real address to grab them. There is a reason they changed names. Too many bad reviews. Customers even called them crooks.

My story (was a dumb decision):
Put in my measurements from a tailor that made a perfectly fitted suit for me. Ordered 4 suits. Delays. Finally they came. Jacket ended almost above the belt. Pants too short, too tight. Complained via mail (the only way to communicate!) and sent photos. Only after sort of screaming at them in my mails were they willing to redo everything. Send all of it back. Weeks went by. Suits arrived. Jackets and pants too short, too tight.

Back again. For 2 suits the fabric was out and was not reordered. Made me chose something different. Even tried getting more money for a more expensive fabric. No way. Ca. 6 weeks went by. Again my suits arrived. Surprise, the jackets fit. The pants a disaster for the 3rd time. They kept using wrong measurements! Wrote mails, sent photos. They ignore my mails. No reaction no further compensation or retailoring. They took my money for 4 suits, took all in all 6 months, leaving me with 4 jackets but I paid for 4 suits. What would you call such a company?

CONTINUED after the latest communication:

As you know from my previous comment on Hockerty (previously tailor4less) could tailor several suits correctly. After another barrage of mails (they do not supply any other contact) they fell silent. After another ca. 8 weeks they agreed to redo two pants and give me 20% off the next purchase of course requesting to delete my story from the internet. Sorry, cannot do!

In any case they fell silent again, do not respond all of it could be funny if it was not such outrageous insult and cheating me out of my money. - Since changing their name they increased their prices by about 100-200 Euro (that is about 50-100% more).

Order something from them and you stand to lose even more money but then again you may get 20% off :- )I do hope you will not go there and fall down. That way they will not earn as much as they could if they were honest tailors delivering good quality. They are not! As human beings, as business people, as tailors just extremely poor quality.

Hockerty tailored fashion

So you want a tailored suit, jacket, shirt or pants.
If the price is reasonable one can expect a well tailored suit but not quite as if you paid triple.

"hockerty.com" - previously "tailor4less.com" - produces tailored fashion. Do not go there. Absolutely not. You will lose out. Great website, bad product. Not honest, no real address to grab them. There is a reason they changed names. Too many bad reviews. Customers even called them crooks.

Unfortunately the internet is so large with millions of people, people who will not see these comments before it is too late. Do not trust "Hockerty"! They give discounts for a replacement?! Funny. Consumer laws in the EU would not allow this. Anyway under the Hockerty name they jacked up their prices by 50-100% in comparison with their previous "tailor4less" name. Please do not go there and waste your money.

I ordered a wool suit from Hockerty in April 2017. On Nov.17, 2017, as I was sitting down at the breakfast table, the fabric of the trousers split at the seat.The material was of such poor quality it did not last 7 months! I asked the company to replace the trousers, but they refused, saying it was beyond the 30 day period they have for any replacements. They asked me to pay for another pair of trousers with a "discount".
If this were a New Zealand company, they would have been bound by our Consumer Guarantee law to issue a full refund or replacement. This company is using its offshore location to get away with ignoring their responsibility to customers. Very poor attitude. I will never buy from them again.

Hockerty Large suit

Hello. I'd like to tell about my negative experience with Tailor4less and maybe that will help other customers. I bought a suit from Tailor4less and it arrived pretty fast, to be honest I never expected such a fast delivery. But unfortunately that was the only nice thing. When I opened the package and saw my suit I was not happy, because size was obviously incorrect. Suit was super large and when I tried it on it looked like a tent!
I contacted Tailor4less and they said that they can offer me only a price off on my next order. Not impressed.
I had to waste extra money and take the suit to a local tailor to correct its size.
I won't be buying there again.

Hockerty Avoid like a plague!

I have ordered a suit from Tailor4less and these people gave me a hard time. When I ordered I gave them my exact measurements, but when my suit finally arrived it was horrendous! Shoulders were longer, sleeves were incredibly shorts, and what I noticed - that there were no button holes on one sleeve.
I contacted them right away and sent some pictures and all they said was how sorry they were. Their rep said they'll refund me as soon as possible and promised that someone from Tailor4less will contact me with further details, but of course that never happened. This site is just a joke owned by a bunch of scammers. I will not buy from them again and I will make sure spread this information. Avoid like a plague!

According to your initial complaint we agreed with the refund for the adjustments. There is a maximum amount we can refund in this situation and you can check it in our policy, which you read and accepted with the purchase.
According to your message, you were quiet satisfied with the product:

“After thinking it over, I'm realizing that it really is a nice coat.
I was pretty upset about the stitching, and the misfit of the shoulders, but the fabric is amazingly comfortable and soft. The funny thing is that the stitching on the body of the coat is great! Did someone else do the sleeves?
What can we do to resolve this situation?”

Hockerty Overcoat

They sent me a coat that looks totally different than on the site in pictures.The material is good and that's the only good thing/ Shoulders are too wide, down side has a Christmas tree form, or a womens dress form - it widens to the bottom.

I made all the measurements as shown in their videos, but they sent me totally inappropriate product. I've opened a request earlier on their site because they didn't answer for 5 days and I was worried about it, but they hurried to close it without my permission when the coat wasn't even delivered to my address. Now I can't open a new request - no possibility of t on their site, it's written that I don't have any orders in the last 60 days (in fact I have an order less than 30 days). I just keep writing in my old request and keep emailing them to several emails.

But they don't bother answering, ignoring all. This is the worst experience I ever had buying online.

Hockerty Tailor4Less Playing Games!

This company is a joke. I sent back the jacket of a suit I purchased because it wouldn't be tailored. That was 6/2/16. They keep claiming they will sent me an email when they receive the jacket in Spain. I believe they'll never say they received that jacket, and won't remake it. I saw somewhere how to fight these people overseas, but can't find the site that said how. I'm very upset, and think there should be a way to sue these people internationally! Cheap suit anyway, and customer service is just awful. I'll never do business with them again. Stay away from Tailor4Less!

Hockerty Stay away!

Ordered a suit from Tailor4less and it looked really good on their website, but the one I received was terrible and looked very poor. The size was also incorrect and it did not fit at all. When I looked closer I found several small holes on the inside of my jacket. So not only it was way too small, but it was also defective! I sent them an email and asked for a refund, but did not get a reply. In total I've sent them over 10 messages but no one contacted me and I was stuck with that horrible jacket! Stay away!

Hockerty Seller sent me wrong order and refused to change it

I decided to order from the website www.tailor4less.com. I took my measurements as well as I paid for the fast delivery, but these jerks sent me completely wrong items, so I decided to reach them and asked about it. I was shocked that the seller refused to change the order. He simply replied “no” and our communication stopped. They are liars and scammers, so be careful and better avoid them. As well as post comments about your experience with them.

Hockerty My order was still in process and seller didn't communicate

I ordered some stuff from the website www.tailor4less.com. They promised to send my order within couple of hours, but the status on the website showed that it was still in process. WTF? I tried to reach the customer services, but no one replied to my phone calls, and they promised to reply within 5 minutes in the emails, but they didn’t provide any info. Maybe someone has any ideas how to return money back, please contact me then or leave a comment. Thanks.

Hockerty Misleading Fit guarantee policy

The pants I ordered didn't fit me well so I used the fit guarantee advertised on the web site.
On this page http://www.tailor4less.com/en/customer/ajustments they tell you :
"* If your order did not arrive in perfect conditions, please bring it to a local tailor to have it adjusted and enclose the invoice so that we can proceed with the refund. Our customer service department will handle your case and reply within 24-48 hours."
Then I brought the pants to a local tailor for alteration and I paid $AUD 130.
Then submitted a ticket for the refund and they come back to me that the refund will only be 20 Euro as there is a limit for the possible refund on another page below

I also had an issue with their fit guarantee and a pair of suit pants. They claim a perfect fit guarantee. They claim that if it doesn’t fit, they’ll remake it. However, that was not my experience. I have pants that are too tight and Tailor4less won’t help. They only give you 7 days to file for a remake. However, they want you to try to have a local tailor alter them first. So I took them to a tailor and she let the pant legs out as much as she could, but they were still too tight. Now Tailor4less happily points out that I am beyond my extremely short 7 day remake period and they say they wouldn’t remake them anyway, since they’ve now been altered in an attempt to get them to fit. So basically, I’m stuck with pants that are too tight!

My experience with Tailor4less was not good. They have a referral program where you can get a free
shirt, pants or suit depending on how many people you refer actually buy something, but they pull all the tricks out to not have to actually give it to you. I referred someone and they bought. My "progress gift" as
they call it showed up on my account and I ordered a free shirt. They charged my credit card for shipping.

I waited, and waited. The free shirt never showed up, and when I logged on to my account all
evidence of the order was gone. My "progress gift" was not available to reorder either.

I contacted them and they gave me multiple excuses, which kept changing as I pressed more. Their
primary excuse was that someone had tried to contact me about the measurements and I didn't answer so the order was canceled. First of all, this doesn't make sense because you put in your OWN CUSTOM
MEASUREMENTS, so they shouldn't think the "measurements were wrong" as they told me. Second, I never received any contact from them, as they claimed. It was all a scheme to not have to give me a
free shirt for their referral program. Never mind that they had no problem charging me for shipping though. I asked them to reinstate the order since I hadn't been able to redeem the progress gift.
They said the order was canceled and they couldn't do that because I "missed" their attempts to email me.
As I said, these attempts at communication never came and were just made up.

There are a lot of negative reviews about tailor4less out there and I can tell you from first had experience that they do indeed try their best to not have to deliver what they owe to you. They came up with all kinds of ridiculous excuses as to why I couldn't get my referral gift, even though I met the criteria. Don't trust them and buy from one of the other made to measure clothing companies. There are several others out there with better reviews.

Produit reçu ne respectant pas les dimensions communiquées donc importable. Mal façons, coutures mal faites, bord des manches décalés. Le service client n'assume pas et oppose un prétexte de formulation de la réclamation pour ne pas assumer. A FUIR.

I have been overcharged and can find no option on their website to report this. Their 'contact us ' drop downs don't cover questions about charging and

nowhere can I find an email address. Not good enough.

Mon expérience chez Tailor4Less a été positive. Ils m’ont, dès le début, très bien accueilli. Voici comment ça c’est passé :

-D’ abord, comme je trouve qu’acheter un costume sur mesure sur Internet, sans pouvoir toucher le tissu, est à mon avis très risqué, j’ai décidé de demander des échantillons. Ils m’ont envoyé par la Poste ceux que leur ai indiqués. Chez moi, j’ai pu comparer et mieux apprécier leurs couleurs, l’épaisseur ainsi que la qualité.
-Après avoir choisi le tissu, j’ai pris mes mesures selon les conseils du configurateur. De suite après, j’ai choisi les caractéristiques de mon costume et j’ai payé. Ça m’a pris 10 minutes, pas plus ! La commande est arrivée à la date prévue. Au premier coup d’œil, tout était parfait ! Le tissu et les caractéristiques étaient corrects. Un seul problème : le pantalon était un peu trop long. Je les ai contactés via sales@tailorforless.com pour leur faire part de mon problème. Ils m’ont expliqué leur politique d’aide aux retouches qui consiste à leur prise en charge du coût des réparations jusqu’ à un montant de 20€. Je me suis rendue chez le tailleur de mon quartier qui l’a raccourci pour 8€. Je leur ai envoyé le ticket et voilà, j’ai été remboursée 4 jours après.
-J’imagine qu’un commerce sur mesure sur internet est risqué parce qu’il faut bien prendre les mesures. Ils m’ont dit que des demandes de retouches leur arrivaient souvent car beaucoup de personnes ne prennent pas bien leurs mesures la première fois. Ils nous conseillent de nous faire aider par nos amis / famille / copine, etc. et de vérifier avant de commander.

-J’espère que ça va pouvoir vous aider et vous encourager à découvrir ce site. Avant, j’achetais des costumes (pas 100% sur mesure), qui sans être personnalisés, me coutaient environ 400€ alors que leur qualité me paraît plus modeste. Chez T4L j’ai payé 170€.
Je vous recommande de demander des échantillons.

Mon expérience a été très satisfaisante, je pense que le rapport qualité/prix est très bon. Mon costume et ma chemise sont arrivés bien empaquetés dans un carton noir 12 jours après avoir passé commande. J'ai déjà recommendé Tailor4Less à mes amis et repasserai commande chez eux!
