HSN banned me from posting on their forums and reviews without any warning. They claim you get 3 warnings. I got none. They banned me for defending my Christian religion against hate postings, of which these posters were not banned. I was singled out by these anti-Christian posters. HSN allows anti-Christian remarks, but if you stand up for your Christian beliefs, they either delete the post or ban you. HSN uses an outside service to monitor their forums. I am a regular customer who spent $1000 last month alone and now I am not allowed to review products even though my defending my faith was never mentioned on reviews. I think that warning was in order, not a banning, but it does prove that they really are anti-Christian.
I have pages and pages of proof. How much do you want? I copied 100s of posts where Christians are lampooned, hated, called names, etc., and HSN has allowed it. It does not surprise me you would side with them. Sorry, I'm a professional researcher/writer. I have proof.
PS. I am not interested in whether you believe me. I'm taking this a step higher. I just thought it would be relevant to have a place to vent this attitude. Obviously I was wrong. Feel free to delete my account. No time to argue with more people who are automatically going to side with the very group I am complaining about. What kind of website is this? It's only a complaint if you deem it so?
I am not returning to this site. It is obviously not legit.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Does it really prove it? We don't know how you replied to their remarks since there's no evidence. Maybe you were being more inappropriate then the haters. We need to see evidence of this discrimination before we believe you.
In all honesty, I was being objective. As any true researcher would know, this is important in doing research.
Here's the thing you're failing to understand, if you're going to post a complaint, you have to make sure that it's in good reason.
It's not appropriate to slam a company if you've had 1 bad experience and want to let the world know of your problem. You're creating a bad image for that company for no reason. Now ask yourself, is that fair? No, not to anyone.
I'm not saying I don't believe that this happened, but that I would like to know more details so that I know that it wasn't a one sided dispute. For example, I don't know that you didn't reply back flaming those who were hating on you. See what I mean.
So to address your postscript, YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED whether I believe you or not, because as a consumer, I need to know that you're not getting into a scuffle with HSN and then blaming them for everything that happened and you portraying yourself as the do-gooder. That's what I'm trying to express. I just enjoy being somewhat of an ### sometimes. :-D
Also, stop running from problems you can't face (Example: "I am not returning to this site. It is obviously not legit.")
It's wise to learn from bumps in the road, rather than avoid them by running away never to return. FACE YOUR FEARS.
It will make you a stronger person.
I've got a degree in this field that relates to mental health, so yea I'd say I'm qualified to make this judgement.
Also, the reason I am doing what I do is because I was taught to challenge what I'm told at a young age. When someone tells me a new piece of information, I ask myself 1. is this source credible? 2. What are their qualifications? 3. Is it logical? 4. What seems inconsistent about what they're saying?
If you go through life asking those questions, you'll learn a lot as well.
I hope this helps.
Why don't you delete this post if you disagree with it? Others lampoon companies but you don't question their complaints... I thought this was a place to vent a complaint not to be psychoanalyzed. If you were really in the mental health field, you wouldn't brag about it.
Now delete the post if you disagree with it.
Around that time - spring 2009, lots of longtime posters were summarily banned from HSN, without any 3 strikes you're out warnings! I was one of them! I received no logical reason from HSN nor the company that runs their message boards.
The best information I could glean was that there were targeted posters (me and some others) who were reported over and over again. This had nothing to do with religion or poltiics - which is the even stranger aspect of it. It had to do with how many other poster complaints came up - and the independent company then banned several of us. To the best of my knowledge the complainers are mostly gone now, having moved on. A very sad chapter in HSN history, but it's their loss - in longtime, loyal customers like me.
kill the christian!
