Booking hotel room at Doubletree Hilton
Made an error in booking and Hotel Values won't change it even though I want to stay longer at the Doubletree Hilton and they would make more money off of me. Furious. as I booked over a week. ahead of time as well. This isn't a last minute reservation and it's out of season. A whole group of us are staying there for a sports tournament. Very disappointed that they wont' help me. Dont. use them.
Desired outcome: Rebook with correct dates for longer stay.

Eventually, he found a room for me, but said that I would have to pay again because he could not access my previous online payment to Guest Reservations. Refund please
I reserved a room through this third-party site last week. I couldn’t make my reservation the first day and so the hotel canceled my reservation without my consent. They said I would get a refund and so I went agar as and booked another room. I tried calling hotel values to figure out how to get the refund, but I can’t reach a receptionist. $400 down the drain.

Booked and paid for a hotel reservation online with the hotel. Total hotel cost was $1,100. I somehow received a confirmation from Hotel Value with an additional $522 charge for "Tax Recovery Charges & Service." I called Hotel Values. The customer service rep I spoke with was evasive and would not answer my questions. She kept repeating the same thing over and over. She said that the charge was a fee they pay to the hotel for their taxes, as well as a service fee for Hotel Values. I asked to speak to someone who could give me more information about the service fees they charged me. She told me there was no one I could talk with and to email them. I told her that I had already emailed them and did not receive anything back. She told me that she had not yet given me the email address. The email address she gave me was for another company called Getaroom.com.
I did eventually get a refund through GETAROOM?
I just had the same problem. I’m trying to cancel now. This is a scam. They say you agreed, but it’s an illegal contract. They charged me 54% tax. Don’t listen to them. The law says no hotel booking contract can charge over a certain percentage. The number can’t be 54% for “Tax Recovery” or for anything else. That’s crap.
Reservation fees added are outrageous and not evident until you hit accept
On 10/24/22 I booked a room for Holiday Inn Express in Roseburg, CA and did not realize I was using an external site to obtain the room. Nor did I realize that I would be charged a service fee of $307 added to the room rate of $189 for 4 nights. When I immediately called to cancel the reservation I was told I should have paid attention to the exclusions and limitations as my reservation was non-refundable. I literally just hit send and saw the dollar amount and realized it was so much more than the $189 a night. They do not clearly delineate that they are charging a service fee of $307 on top of the room charge. They say it is a booking and service fee when I called. I spoke to a person by the name of Roan in their customer service dept and was told by her that the fine print is totally legal and they would not refund my monies. She then put me on hold and came back and said they would give me a $100 credit on my card after my stay. I have no idea if they will even adhere to that. This company is ripping people off.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund of the Service fees - minimally $250. There should be no need for a booking fee greater than $50 for an online service.
Misleading and cheating representation and charges
On 8 October 2022, I made a reservation for a hotel at Ipoh, Malaysia. I thought that I am making the reservation directly with the hotel's website. The website showed a nightly rate of RM342 Malaysia Ringgit which is roughly US $ 74. However, when the reservations were completed, and charge was made to my credit card, I noticed that this website not only has change the currency rate to US Dollars, but also has changed the nightly rate by more than 200%. I called them and asked to cancel and refund me the full amount. Their Customer Care person, Waseem, told me that since the reservation was refundable, he cannot do anything.
HotelValues is cheating innocent consumers.

On September 7, 2022, I made two reservations through your website at the Sofitel Hotel Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, for the period 27.10-31.10, the first of them, a DBL room (guest name: Mr. Sabin Bota) and the second, on my name (Leonard Azamfirei). Both rooms were paid with my card (card holder: Leonard Azamfirei).
For the first reservation, I immediately received a confirmation email (#R3756422908), but for the second reservation (SGL, guest Leonard Azamfirei), I did not receive a confirmation email.
For both reservations in the bank statements I am attaching, the money (780.33 EUR x 2) was discarded from my bank account. The first transaction for the already confirmed room (guest: Mr. Sabin Bota) was made at 16:58, the second transaction, (guest Mr. Leonard Azamfirei), with the reservation not yet confirmed, was made at 17:20. I am attaching the proofs of both payments to this email.
I tried to contact by email the customer service but they did not answet.
Desired outcome: To clarify the situation.
Cancellation charge
I made a reservation through hotelvalues.com. I made it by mistake. I should have gone to the hotel directly to make the reservation. When I realized the mistake I immediately called and cancelled the reservation. I realized that an $848.95 reservation cancellation cost me $628.26. I made the reservation on 6/24/22 cancelled 6/25/22 at 3:55 p.m. I called and spoke with Doreen at hotel values and was told the hotel had to refund my money. I called the hotel and they had the cancellation but never received any money. Since then I have not been able to get through to hotel values.
Desired outcome: I was a refund of $628.26.

Terrible company.
Tried to make a reservation at a hotel in CT. Never received a confirmation of the reservation. Could not get a reply from the booking company. Called the hotel , were informed no reservation existed. Made a reservation directly with the hotel and were CHARGED $206.95 BY GET A ROOM.COM ANYWAY.
Either the company has procedural administrative issues that prevented the notice of confirmation or they are a SCAM and purposely did not confirm or delayed confirmation of the reservation so that they could pocket the nonrefundable $206.9.
Equally disappointed Citibank. After initially accepting a reversal of the charge ultimately gave in to the booking agent and made us pay.
WIll never use Get a room again as they may be a complete SCAM and are rethinking our relationship with Citibank.
Hotel stay
They have so many hidden fees and they charge your card before giving you option of confirming. Very deceptive customer service only offered 10 percent discount rate at hotel when called to immediately complain and cancel. $249 they charged for universal Sheraton California same room 379. 28 my card was charged for September 28th this is almost 140 more for their fees.

We made and paid in advance for the reservation number: R3606667133 (which was for 3 nights, from Sep12 to 15, 2022) we arrived Istanbull late afternoon on the 12th and took 2.5 hrs to get to the hotel. We stayed there that night, but could not stay the rest of the time for obvious reasons, toooo faaaar from the action. I contacted booking.com and they gave me the run around and stupid excuses not to refund our money.

Reservations and service charges
Could only find this website at the time to book a 2-night stay at Hilton Garden Inn in Newport News, VA last week. For some reason, I could not directly contact the hotel itself.
SO, I made the reservation online, and it was promptly cancelled.
Called on my drive up from FL and it took over an HOUR to find a room.
IN the meantime, unbeknownst to ME, the CS agent had been booking me 4 other rooms and CHARGING them all to my credit card.
When I opened my banking app at a gas stop, I was SHOCKED and called Hotel Values back, was on the phone another HOUR with no resolution, and ended up calling my bank, which took another 45 minutes of pure aggravation to reverse these 4 other charges!
NOW when I received the email of my receipt, I see there is a $112 SERVICE charge for all this aggravation & frustration? I think NOT!
I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if Hotel Values does NOT reverse this charge.
Sadly, when I brought this up to the hotel clerk at Hilton, she told me this happens ALL the TIME!

Same story as others. Thought I was on the Red Lion Inn Wenatchee WA website but when I made the reservation, I soon learned I really hadn't been. Also, the bottom line didn't show up until I paid -- and learned that over $50 was added for fees on an $84 reservation. Went to hotel and learned that if I had walked in and gotten a room total would have been just over $100. Called hotelvalues to ask for refund based on incomplete totals before paying -- of course my fault for doing that as I did not dream there would be over $50 in taxes and fees. Some state or fed attorney general office needs to get on this company as it seems people are being cheated and scammed left and right.
Desired outcome: Have states' attorney's general and U. S. Dept. of Justice look into this for violations.

charge of cancelled reservations
Made a reservation on 6/24/22 thru hotel values.com. I cancelled 6/25/22 as soon as I realized I made this by mistake. I contacted Doreen from hotelvalues.com on 6/25/22 about the charge of $628.26 for the cancellation and was told it was up to the hotel to refund me. I contacted the hotel and they said they cancelled the reservation but got no money. I have gotten generic emails asking for the proof that the hotel refunded me. I never got a refund. I have not been able to get a hold of the hoelvaluies.com since.

Reservation charge dispute
September 6, 2022 I made a reservation at Hampton Inn in Charleston. SC for 2 nights. The charge was listed as $254.34. Nowhere did it say that was PER NIGHT! When I received the email with a total of $778.16 I called and reported the mistake and asked to cancel with full refund. She said she couldn't cancel but would email someone who could. I never heard back from them.
Desired outcome: Full refund to credit card and cancelation.

My grandson accidentally purchased a booking through this site. I noticed withininutes and tried to cancel through customer service. They tolde i cant have a refund due to the fact its a contract. I called the hotel and they said they have no control over third party however the hotel offers cancelaions and require you be 21 to book. My five year old grandsin dosent meet the criteria to book this trip and its horrible they would hold me to this. The total was $700 so it wasnt a small mistake and im furious. Also if you read their disclaimer you cant check in until 4 pm and you must check in by 6 pm or they cancel your trip with no refund as well. So better not break down on your way!

I booked a hotel reservation with HotelValues.com on July 27 for $2542.91 for a stay several months from now. I canceled the reservation in less than 5 minutes. The hotel "The Graduate Fayetteville" has a simple refund policy. However, the 3rd party booking site HotelValues.com will not provide a refund. I have contacted the company by phone and email several times and they refuse to provide a refund. They told me to file a dispute with my credit card. The credit card company Citibank did not accept the dispute.

I booked through hotel values for August the 6th and cancelled my stay with that hotel to stay at another hotel and was supposed to get a refund and was told to wait up to 7 business days I waited and called was told again to wait up to 10 days my 10 days is up I called again today and was told I may have to wait up to 30 days. This is unacceptable. And what kind of business is that. Becareful when you book through this sight I’m just warning you. They are not trustworthy. Just to talk to somebody I have been holding for an hour and still nothing is being resolved.

I was booking a hotel in Boston, thinking I was on the hotel's website. Once I realized I wasn't I stopped the reservation and was shocked to find a confirmation email from Hotel values.com charging me $500 over the cost of the hotel, nearly 50% of my entire stay. I cancelled immediately but their so called cancellation policy is a fine of the full amount so now I'm out $1,700 for nothing.
