Do not use STAYFORLONG
Used Stayforlong.com many times and they are fine until you have an issue.
Their customer service is terrible. They do not answer their emails and when you ring they are very unprofessional.
The hotel I was supposed to be staying at closed due to a hurricane and they are so far refusing to process a refund.
I have raised a complaint with the credit card company and will seek to report their unprofessional behaviour wherever I can.
Hotels.com have been amazing in contrast.
Not worth using them to save a few pounds more.

Stay away from stayforlong
All they care about is to take full payments from you and leave the service for yourself to take care of. I had appalling experience with them recently. I booked a so called 4- star hotel in Majorca through stayfirlong. This hotel is remote, poor facility, nowhere near 4-star. The worst thing is that staff there don’t speak English including receptionists. When I seemed help they threatened me to keep full payments without refund even if I leave the hotel. When I made formal complaint in writing, they simply replied no compensation can be offered. So stay away from them if you want to enjoy you holiday.

I book a hotel through Stayforlong and erroneously the check-out date entered was different than I want. I immediately tried to reach customer service, it is impossible to find on their website.After I found their Facebook page, read all the complaints, I realized it is scamming /fraud company, I was not able to reach any customer representative. I do not recommend this company.
Recommendation: Stay away from this Stayforlong
After hours of phone calls with the hotel, I am able to find our reservation. The hotel confirmed the date change, however stayforlong denies any change to my reservation and denies any refund. It should be StayAwayco instead of StayForlong :(
Try contacting the hotel directly to see if they can adjust your reservation. If they can't help, dispute the charge with your credit card company, explaining the situation and the difficulty in reaching customer service. For future bookings, consider using well-known and reputable booking platforms to avoid similar issues.
Untrustworthy
Hotel booking of a room with 2 Queen beds was made 6 months in advance of a Vegas trip. After reading several mixed reviews I chased confirmation directly from the hotel after 2 months of booking to be advised no booking was found on their system from Stay for long. Stay for long continued to email me to say booking was confirmed but could not provide a hotel reference. They refused to refund the deposit and proceeded to take the full amount without providing confirmation. A week before the trip I finally got confirmation direct from the hotel but was told it was a room with 1 bed and a sofa bed not what I paid for or wanted, hotel said if I wanted the original request i would need to upgrade upon arrival if rooms were available. Notifying Stay for long of this they continued to delay and just emailed to say issue was in hand. Upon arrival the hotel confirmed the room but only with the 1 bed. As there were no other rooms available to suit I had no choice but to take the cheaper room. Throughout my stay I continued to email Stay for long the who again delayed and stalled with no resolution. Returning home I have tried numerous times to get a refund on the difference I paid for and all that was offered was £50 which is not even 10% of the differenc . DO NOT USE THEM, once they have your money they will not assist you. Stick with the more reputable companies and pay a little extra for a stress free holiday.

Miserable experience.
We needed to cancel our trip two days before due to a monsterous hurricane. I called three times and got no answer in any way. Their number was impossible to find on mobile. They refused to give a refund when I finally got in touch with them the day before.
Then they told me “they had no communication in the system”

I have been trying to et my refund from this company since early July. We made reservations in which after 1st day I got terrible sick had to cut vacation short. The Bahia immediately sent refund to company but Stay for Long has yet to refund me. I've been on phone and many emails with info they requested over and over again. The ppl on phone you can't understand and when asked to talk to supervisor they said unable to allow that. I want my refund please... Suzy Daley

SCAM! AND WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! I reserved a stay at the Hilton in Williamsburg for my family when the confirmation came back everything was correct so I proceeded to pay but when the page refreshed it had the wrong dates. I called them immediately about the error on the site and the told me they would put in a ticket and call me back. Well 24hours passed...

Booking of 6/27/23 for NYC hotel stay. Plenty of time for them to re-book.
I am a 71 year old woman who is flying from Denver to Florence, Italy on 11/23/23 and returning 12/6/23. I wanted to spend a week in NYC (where I lived for 22 years) and did not want to burden friends so was looking for an economical place to stay 12/6/23-12/13. I went on the site and selected Hotel St. James for $2,079.00 Researching flights I could not find any flights that were not 6 times the cost with the NYC stay, I tried to cancel the Stayforlong reservation and they said it was non refundable/non cancellable. I did agree to terms but it did not clearly state that this was not cancellable. I believe this Spanish company is using false advertising to entice citizens to book without clearly stating that when they push the button, they have no recourse. As a retiree, I ask for your intervention with this outfit. I have filed a disputed claim with my credit card company — Visa. My attorney suggested that, since their US headquarters is in Seattle, I should appeal to your state.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement of $2,079.00 to credit card. I plan to file a small claims case if this is not resolved and also write an explicit web negative web review.
Customer service in handling a booking error.
I booked a room in Destin, Fl. when it was confirmed it had it was a smoking room ( I didn't think they still had these) and I am traveling with a child with allergies and this will not work. It is a nonrefundable room so I can't take that route. After numerous attempts to get and understand customer service, they told me they would let me know at the time of checking if they had been able to change the status of the room. I can't cancel, no one can let me know if they were able to change room and I am out of options or lose my money. Intend to notify American Express of issue and will see if they can help. And to let them know this is an unreliable company.

Keep in mind in Stayforlongs terms and conditions, if Amex takes the side of Stayforlong (which Citi did with me), they will refuse any right you had for a refund. Stayforlong calls it 'Winning the chargeback'. It's win-win for them and lose-lose for you.

Out of town lodging reservations
We pre booked with stsyforlong.com months in advance for our week in Florida. In the day we had to pay for my room, I paid with my credit card and the charge went through. On time. The money went to them, and they still cancelled our reservation anyway. I called them after I verified with my bank that the charge went through. I ended up having to book with another company at the last minute and at an additional cost of over 300 dollars extra. I called them and asked them to return the money to my account, and the customer service representative kept making excuses as to why he couldn't do it. I called my bank and it has been 5 days and they still have not returned my money. This company has no concern for you, they will not provide a supervisor, they make excuses. They are not located here in the United States, either. I recommend not using them ever. The customer service people are rude 😒

Please can you help? I booked the Leonardo St Pauls Hotel in London for Fri 24th to Mon 27th 21 using Stayforlong site ref [protected]. However, when London announced a major incident in the city as the omicron cases started to surge I decided not to risk the health and safety of my family to continue with this trip. Especially, as my daughter needs to be protected as she has Down Syndrome, thinner nasal tubes, suffers badly from upper respiratory tract infections and has a poor immune system. I got in touch with Stayforlong to explain this but they said it was not up to them to refund me but down to the hotel. I got in touch with the Leonardo Hotel directly and they have said I can only sort this with the Third Party Stayforlong. Now Stayforlong are ignoring my emails. My family of 6 traveled from the States to Tenerife and booked our lodging in faith through Stayforlong. The accommodations booked were for 6 but upon arriving to the serviced apartment it only fit 5. We requested a correction but reception refused, and after sending two emails in the situation to Stayforlong we heard nothing back! As a result, we needed to leave the hotel to find another and currently in pursuits of requesting a refund!
Stayforlong should not do business with suppliers without validating their arrangements. HUGE disappointment.
I booked a room in president hotel in london with stay for long.
I paid 708$ and got a confirmation by mail for my reservation.
But i didnt stay for long in that hotel,because when i got there,the hotel didnt have a room on my name and he was fully booked,so we went to another hotel and paid 159 pounds for 4 nights.
We were shure will get a refund from stay for long.

I booked a holiday on behalf of my son to Rhodes, but he was unable to go due to the return flight being cancelled by EasyJet. I paid final balance 6 weeks before departure on May 10th. On May 20th I informed "Emily" (generic term) he couldn't go. I was told they would contact the holiday resort and explain and get a refund. I was then told a refund would be given. Then I was informed it would not be given. Today I was informed by Kylie (after 15 emails) that I would get a refund within 7-10 days. Only to be told the same day that this was a mistake and would not be given a refund. I have tried to escalate my problem and the confusion plus the delays to sort the problem out to the complaints team. Unfortunately my emails... As usual, seem to go into a black hole. On their website, it says final money would not be taken till 10 days before. My other son blocked his card to prevent payment. Si I have now taken up my case with Mastercard who are in dispute as Stayforlong had loads of time to cancel my holiday and tell the resort. The emails are curt and unfriendly and no information is ever forthcoming except "they are looking into it". I assume they hope I will simply give up and go away. My next step is to complain to the Directors and Atol team. I would advise never to use this company when booking a holiday. I have 15 email responses on file which I have now presented to Mastercard in support of my case
Desired outcome: Get the £633 I paid for the accommodation back or at least a partial refund as the situation was beyond my control
