Purchased new computer with operating system upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows7. Very, very slow service, worse than dial up. Have been on the phone with Hughes 4 times in 24 hours and have had to pay $5.00 for somw sort of token to address "exceeding download"problem. This is robbery as I am allowed one free token per month, and because of changes in op. system I have already used two tokens in 24 hours. Tokens are $5.00 apiece. I already pay a fortune for the monthly provider service and have for eight years. Have I any recourse?
This company is a huge joke! their service is pitiful. so slow and down a lot of times. they will overbill you and you can't get anyone who speaks english on the phone. they will LIe TO YOU and tell you they will reverse charges and then they dont.
they will not notify you in email when they are billing or charging your account
they will tell you you do not exist as a customer
then proceed to charge your bank account for service
I've had 15 complaints to them and they say they will respond in 24 hours each time and I have received one call
they said they would reverse charges. they did NOT and a week later charged me more money
they lock you in for 24 months and give you the WORST service

My complaint is (partially due to the fact that I am extremely hard of hearing) that you are forced to deal with inadequit automated phone service, choices that do not cover the problems I have and the fact that there is no acceptance of written complaints--everything must be on the computer or over a lousy phone program--I'm 85 years old, hard of hearing and not in the least bit computer literate (and I'm sure I'm not alone) but you people cannot supply a mailing address so problems could be resolvesd reasonably.Also when I got the service I was told there was an $11.95 service charge which I had to have for the first month. On calling to cancel the charge I was informed that it had to do with a huge charge if anything went wrong and I didn't have it. Not completely understanding the person I was speaking with I told them to cancel it anyway---then after hanging up I went and rechecked the paper work. There was absolutely nothing explaining this charge or what it encompased in detail--as a matter of fact the paper work stated there should be nine pages--I reaceived a page ONE of Nine and a page 4 of nine--nothing in between. My husband thinks I should have the $11.95 charge reinstalled--but I would appreciate seeing tha paper work on just EXACTLY this charge covers. From all the comments I've seen regarding your responses-I don't imagine you could be bothered shedding some light on this subject--but in case yoo do It would be GREATLY Appreciated.

I CALLED HUGHES AND THEY TOLD ME THAT SOMEONE CALLED A COUPLE DAYS AGO AND RESCHEDULED.
