on May 24, 2018 my husband and I chose to take my granddaughter to breakfast and give her graduation presents. I preferred Cracker Barrel, but she said we had been doing IHOP since she was little so we did. We had a great server, great food. Then we went to check out. Your cashier was on the phone and trying to check people out, and they were busy. Not my fault that they were obviously understaffed. I waited patiently for 6-8 minutes while she was on the phone. I was speaking in a normal tone to my granddaughter while we waited and your cashier looked up and said "SHUSH I AM ON THE PHONE AND TRYING TO HEAR" REALLY...Who does that? My granddaughter looked at her and said Oh, I am sorry...I said "No, you are not sorry, but learn a lesson here..when you are making a living at a place, never be nasty or rude to a customer. In fact, never treat anyone like that period" It is too bad because up until then, our experience was good. Our server was efficient, pleasant and so nice. But this is my last thought of IHOP... I doubt seriously that we will return and that's too bad because we have been doing this for 15 years and my granddaughter's favorite place. There is just too much competition out there to have to deal with nasty personalities...and by the way, she never once apologized. Just took my card swiped it and slammed the receipt down.

So I'm sitting in the ihop in Ardmore Oklahoma there is 7 tables 1 waiter that has only been working 2 days can't keep up been sitting here 45 minutes waiting on drinks my 1 year old son is hungry but can't get any service and it's not the servers fault. This place used to be great now I would rather go to Denny's to eat.

Everytime me and my husband come in, it is a black server and there is this short white server with curly long blonde hair. They are the only ones that are willing to sit us and serve us. There is a short white lady we think she is the manager. She leaves us standing at the door every time. Now we thought it might just have been a oversight, but she does this every time she works that we come in. It is also another server that does it with black hair kind of tall. This is a disgrace and this company should be ashamed of yourselves to allow someone to work there that presents themselves as such. Me and my husband have taken this situation further and contacted a lawyer.

My bf and I visited your store in Coralville Iowa recently.
It was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The place was dirty. We noticed mold on the lower walls outside of the kitchen where we were seated. The only reason for us noticing this? The rubber baseboards were missing.
The restaurant was not busy. It took our server only about 10 minutes to take our order... Not too bad. But, it was then 45 minutes until our food arrived.
My food was disgusting looking. I ordered the egg white omelette, a potato side and chocolate milk. The potatoes looked dries up and were cold. It angered me to think the server thought a person would actually eat that?! The Omelette tasted like Fish! And was cold! It was the worst thing i've ever tasted.
The meal was taken off the bill. But, that's not the point! What has happened to ihop? I'd like a reply as I have already called your customer service number and left a voice mail.in that message, I was told someone would get back to me in 2-3 business days... It's been more than a week.

My name is Anna R. Rutherford I am a server at this Reynoldsburg, Ohio location. I had a liver biopsy surgery yesterday (5/21/2018) and I am curently at work today. I gave Jake (G. M) my doctors excuse from the hospital and it had the following instructions.
- Can't stand no longer than an hour and a half at a time.
- Can't carry anything over 10 lbs.
It said on this paper I will only have to do this till 5/24/2018.
Today I was supposed to have the day off (says on the work schedule) but Jake said if I did not show up today it would be an automatic write up even after I explained to him what it said on the paper from the hospital. So I showed up 9am this morning, he's been cursing at me since I got here. Yelling at me saying im not moving fast enough and making me do things that the doctor specifically noted that I was not capable of doing till the 24th. The doctor told me I had to follow these institutions to prevent internal bleeding. Jake said if I don't do what he tells me to hes taking me off of the floor and will never put me back on it again (basically firing me). At the moment i'm in the parking lot sitting in my car crying because of the amount of pain im in. I told him he needs to just let me leave because it is illegal for him to be doing this. I told him before hand the things i'm able to do are limited, which is hard because of the environment I work in. I can't just keep sitting down every hour and a half for 30 min at a time when their is customers that needs to be taken care of. I asked Jake to please do my check out so I can leave. I apologized and said to him i'm not doing my clean up, im not doing my outs, I told him he can do them his self since he wants to treat me like i'm nothing when all I've been doing is trying to follow the doctors orders. Jake has been targeting me ever since I started working here and I should of contacted you all way before hand. The management here is very unprofessional and it just amazes me. I've never worked in an environment where it is okay for the G. M or even any employee to curse at you every day, or literally get two inches in front of your face and scream at you for not picking up another employees slack. For example a couple weeks ago we were slow so the other servers were sitting in the break room. Jake told me "if you don't clean the server line right now i'm throwing everything on the [censored]ing floor and you can clean it up from there." Of course I panicked because Jake gets upset too easily and I immediately started cleaning. Not even a single minute after I began to clean he basically said whatever and went down the entire server line and threw everything on the floor and yelled, "Pick it the [censored] up!" I absolutely dread coming into work every day because i'm constantly being mentally messed with for no reason at all. I love it here, I love the customers that come in to eat, the servers, cooks and the manager Erica are very kind, but i'm sick and tired of coming outside almost everyday to cry my anger out because the G. M can't even have a little bit of respect for me. I honestly don't know what I should do from here. Should I wait to come back to work so i'm fully able to do all I need to do? Even if I did so im probably going to get a write up or even fired. I have a follow up appointment 05/24/2018 at 2:15p. m eastern time, and hes already angry about that even though i've always brought him doctors excuses. My liver is messed up and im only 19 years old. I'm trying to fix my health so Im able to live a longer life. I don't understand why he has such a huge issue with it all of a sudden. He cut my hours to only three days a week last week after I told him I was having liver surgery Sunday morning. I'm sick and tired of him and how he makes me feel every time I come into work. customer service & pressuring to tip
I placed two separate orders on May 19. 2018 and experienced really bad customer service. The store address is 6005 International Drive Orlando, FL 32819. When my husband arrived they werent aware of the order. He provided the order number which were [protected] and [protected]. Both my card were charged and they fought my second order which was silver 5 for my son. My chicken quesadilla were cold. To heat it up in my hotel room, I would have to rent a microwave $15 a day. They kept pressuring my husband to tip them and I had it. I spoke with the manager the night by the name of Linda who gave my son a free drink but the experience was horrible. Linda advised to speak with John the next day but we had to leave. I will never go to the IHop again.

So today 04/20/2018. Me and my fiancé went to ihop in Chicago Illinois on cicero ave. We seen a homeless man sitting outside he didn't ask for anything.! We offered to bring him inside so he could eat with us, once we got our seat we were refused a waitress. Everyone was talking amongst themselves trying to see who was going to serve us. After 23 minuets we were finally able to get a drink. Once we ordered our food it took 1 hour and 23 minuets to receive our food. After multiple attempts of asking for a manager he proceeded to argue with us about our food and how long we were there. We asked one of the servers if brining the man in was the problem of us not getting our food in a timly manner. They proceeded to tell us yes he was the problem.! I have never received such bad service or rude managers in the 21 years I've lived. We are down in Chicago visiting we leave in 4 days back to Ohio. I will from here out never take my family back to another ihop. They need more training, a new manger and better customer service. Thank you.

I'm a regular customer at I hope restaurant in Evanston il. I spend over 100 dollars a week, there's always something missing from my orders. Or they give me a wrong order, the t bone steak always dry and rubbery, I will never purchase anymore at Ihope, you just lost a customer. I complained 5 times to Francisco the manger and nothing is done about it. McDonald's have better service than you, shame on I hope.

After picking me up from a gathering, my wife and I decided to get something to eat as we were both very hungry. We opted for the IHOP to get omelettes.
When we arrived, there were approximately 18 - 20 people seated.
We were seated near two other booths with 4 people per booth. We placed our order after about 15 minutes. 2 omelettes with extra bacon and sausage on the side.
After about 30 - 40 minutes, I started to wonder where our food was. It was then I discovered the other two booths, mentioned above, still hadn't gotten their food either. It was about 10 - 15 minutes later that one of the groups at one booth got up with the intent of leaving the restaurant. he discussed it, sat back down and asked about their order. They got their food about 120 minutes later. Mind you, they were there before us and received their orders over an hour after we got there.
Shortly thereafter, the other 4 started wondering about their food. They got their food and they complained that the eggs were cold and the pancakes dry. While they were discussing (arguing) with the manager about payment, our food "arrived".
My wife had the bacon extravaganza and asked for a side of sour cream and salsa aas well as a side of bacon.
I ordered the Colorado omelette with a side of bacon and a side of smoked sausage links.
Both of us asked for hash browns.
When the food "arrived", my wife's omelette did not have salsa. When she pointed it out, the waitress took the salsa off of my plate. Note, my omelette comes with salsa.
Then the waitress brings the bacon and sausage and asks if there is anything else. We needed to point out that we didn't get our hash browns. Then, I pointed out to the waitress, that my omelette was supposed come with salsa. The hash browns tasted dry, as if thy had been sitting for a while. It took over 5 minutes for her to bring me a thing of salsa.
It was about 4am by the time we got out of there. 2 hours is far too long to get what we had ordered in a restaurant that was not extremely busy.
It was, to my recollection, the first time ever in my life that I did not leave a tip.
I told my wife, if I owned that franchise, I would close and everybody there would be fired. Even if it meant that I might not be able to be open all the time. That level of "service" is not only unacceptable, but it is disrespectful to the customers that chose to patronize the establishment.

This morning I made an online order by Ihop app, when I enter to the restaurant, located in 11302 Miramar Parkway, miramar fl 33025, the person in charge of seating the public, cooking, answering the phone was just one person. When she ask me about what is my order, she respond me that the system is down and the online order does not work, I completely understand I asked about my refund and she said that she does not know about it. I went to the kitchen, hat was disrespectful. I love IHOP, but this disappointed me so much about of the company. this is theft, if I do not call my bank and I cancel the transaction. Ihop would keep my money. I work very hard, to be able to afford a breakfast. and I think this was unfair.
phone off the hook always
I current live in Portsmouth V.a, I am writing to tell you that the Ihop on Frederick Blvd always has the phone off the hook. I try to place to-go orders atleast 3 times a week, and when I call I have to try several times to get a ring not a busy tone. One of the individuals that is employed there told me that some of the other employees take the phone off the hook so they don't have to take to-go orders "because they don't get tips". So I was hoping you could contact this locations manager and ask them to get control of the phone. I would love to be able to call and place a order and not have to be inconvenienced due to the ignorance of the employees. They are representing your business in a very careless manner. May 13 2018 mother's day,
I arrive at ihop location #5334 upon enter there are guest waiting. I wait 12 mins to be seated. I'm seated my server comes up (muffles slurred words) I ask about the birthday meal free for my son in which I had the coupon sent to me. She tells me I have to ask the owner! Okay I order coffee and chocolate milk. She comes back 10 mins later with nothing asking if the owner came by, I reply no. She says "he ain't honoring no coupons today he'll give you 10 percent off" I order our food anyway at 11:20 am. My server proceeds to spilling coffee all over another guest and table. Now my entire section has been seated after me and my son. But now everyone and I mean everyone has their food eating. My server (angel) comes over and says hey your food is gonna be another 30 mins they "[censored]" up in the kitchen. Not even caring that my 6 year old son is sitting here! 24 mins pass she brings over some old cold strawberry pancakes and says "here these are on the house" excuse me ma'am I don't want that trash! But my 6 year old is starving so he eats them. Still no food! I request management she says oh honey he's the owner he'll be over. He comes and acts as if it's okay "they must have lost your ticket" I reply with i've been waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes this is crazy he tells me my food is free. Sir what food? I have no food still! At 12;49 I sit out in my car with a box of dog food they threw together. This is utterly disgusting ihop as a brand shouldn't be this way. Very very upset and heartbroken that my son couldn't even take me to get breakfast without being forgotten or lost!? To much money spent here for this! Customer service keeps businesses open! This place shouldn't be open!

Today on Mothers day my husband ordered breakfast for the whole family via uber eats, as a treat to me. The meals came with pork sausage instead of turkey that i requested and made several notes of. The kids(3) as well as my husband were already well into their meals before i realized the sausage wasnt turkey. The kids meals had turkey, the two breakfast samplers did not. This was a mother's day gift gone wrong. We would like to be compensated via money back or restaurant credit. Thanks for your time. We ordered from the rockside location.

My wife an I went to Ihop in Carlsbad, New Mexico Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:00pm after a dance. We enteed the store and waited to be seated. The staff was talking to one another, sitting at tables visiting. They did see us standing there waiting, but no one assisted us at all! We went to a table and seated ourselves, but after 30 minutes of no one even coming to our table we got up and left the store! I know that Ihop has a bad reputation in Carlsbad, but now I actually experienced just how bad your store really is here! What kind of business do you run?! What kind of people do you employ? Train your staff in people skills and maybe your store will have a better reputation!

I eat at that Ihop on Tunnel Rd. all the time. What time of day did you go? Did you talk to the General Manager she is very helpful and friendly. I think if you go to her now she would probably give you a free meal. Because they aim to please the customer.
Depending on the time of day the cooks get over whelmed because they are timed to get the meals out and if they were crowded that could be the reason for your meal not being up to your standards.
I hope you discuss it with them and allow them to make it right for you.
You’ll take it to corporate? Did you bring to the attention of management? You sound whiny. People just trying to get by. I work retail and people always threaten to take things to corporate. I honestly wish they would, because we can’t. I want to tell corporate that we have no A/C, the SM is a bully, that we have our hours shaved, that we get yelled at for calling in sick when we’re actually sick. Maybe someone just made a mistake. People are human.

I went to IHOP today in Waterbury CT (brass mill center) to pick up my online order. At first the forgot everything and I had to wait. Then as I got home I realize the French toast was so burnt it was hard as a rock! Then the bannnas that went with it was dark black! Also the ham was horrible and as well as the avocado I will never order or go their again!

ihop restaurant complaint
Today is 5/11/18. This morning a group of people and I went to the IHOP located at 593 Baltimore Pike, Bel Air, MD 21014. This is the fourth time at 6:30 AM that we gone to this IHOP at this time and had to stand outside of IHOP because it was not yet open where it shows it is open at 6:00 AM. My group like to get together on Fridays for an early breakfast. It is clear that IHOP is not watching its restaurants are doing their job and duties.

Came to get my free pancakes from signing up online with their promotion and the waitress denied my order and tried telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about even after reading the whole coupon from my email! She read about the promotion and the tlfree pancakes plus the location which was the same IHOP I was seated in...the waitress walked away and started laughing saying "welp you can go get free pancakes from somewhere else because you wont be getting them here" Really had the nerves to not acknowledge my presence afterwards! 😠😠😠😠

Arrived at 945pm to IHOP restaurant on 5-8-2018. There was one large party seated. 3 tables with 2-3 people . A party of 8 ahead if us ...2 in our party and a party of 8 behind us. We were seated and the others guest seated. Saw only one person waiting tables. Another person trying to take orders a seat people. Hostess also busy waiting tables. Not enough wait staff available. 4 parties from 4 to 8 + were informed per hostess that there was about a 30 minute wait. 3 other parties arrived also after this...poor girls were running there legs off. The people waited about 5 minutes and left. The people seated after us got up and left. I can only imagine the amount of money that was lost tonite due to or attributed no avaiable help. Not pointing fingers..my heart went out to the girls. Another party of 3 came in..waited about 5 minutes before the wait staff was able to get to them..the man was very ugly to the young lady. I apologized for his ignorance the young lady stated thank you. The party that came in behind us wanted to get ugly with the wait staff..raising there voices and talking loudly. They were very rude and obnoxious. We got our food and were kept check on frequently. No problem with meal. We were out by 11 pm. 4 more parties plus left...money no help and irrate customers and money loss= poor management. 1 wait staff scheduled 1 hostess 1 cook staff and 1 wait staff who stayed over to help and was the one who got blasted... Never saw the one working wait staff until we got ready to check out then she come over to apologize.. Lady excuse me but where have you been. I was unable to get the hostess or wait staff that stayed over but my hat is off to them! Someone needs better management training..in this day and time people do not have values anymore.
