Corporate decision to stop giving veterans and or senior discount.
My wife and I went to Ihop for breakfast this morning in Marion IL. I ask about getting the veterans and or the senior citizens discount. Was then inform that they no longer offered either one. Was told that this was a CORPRATE decision. So I just thought that I would let you Know that you have just lost several from my family that have severed in the Military for this great country.
Since you No longer care about the veterans or seniors because you may lose a little bit of your million dollars bonuses which I know won't happen. You will just not pay your employees what they deserve to better serve your self. There for we will go to places like Denny's and other great company that still love this country and the Veterans and Seniors. I know that a few dozens customers won't hurt your pocket but I really hope you all go bankrupt. Thank you for not reading this complaint. I will put my name on this and a phone number I don't expect to hear from you but it is the RIGHT thing to do unlike IHOPP!

Service at IHOP
I, my daughter-in-law, and 2 grandchildren - ages 3 and 7- went to IHOP in Sioux Falls SD at 1030 am Sunday, December 4. We had tickets to Disney on Ice at 1 pm, and felt we had plenty of time. The restaurant was filthy as were the bathrooms, and the service was horrible, we ordered at 11- (sat for 1/2 hour before the waitress came to us,) and did not receive our food until 12 noon. We sat where we had a direct line of vision to the kitchen. Our food was put up on the counter to serve and we sat and watched it sit there for 25 minutes. All the time, there was arguing and fighting among the staff, complaining about co-workers and certain customers. It was not busy that day. I even got up and offered to help deliver food as they were all standing by the serving counter but nobody was picking up the plates and delivering them. It gave us all the impression that they were striking and the customers were paying the price. The staff were all dressed in a manner that made you feel they were out all night and came to work in dirty clothing. One of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had, AND we were late for the show.
Desired outcome: Clean up the restaurant, take steps to improve the entire situation. We want to go back as we love IHOP and feel this needs to be rectified.

An employee named marla russell at the ihop on north falls. 620 in Austin texas informed me while she was I'm the restaurant after closing that it was broken into and sent pictures trying to convince me that a fellow employee was upset with her and it was an inside job and asked my legal advice.i later called the restaurant and asked a manager if the restaurant was indeed burglarized,his reply was no.since then this employee has left me numerous voicemails that are very unfriendly. Also she claims to have the keys to 3 different ihop safes.and claims this is evidence of her trustworthyness.would you trust anyone who claims a restaurant has been broken into if it had not?she has also tormented me and sent me these other photos.

IHOP in Pueblo Colorado #1826
Went into IHOP at approx. 5:00 pm, on 11-12-2022. There were 5 of us. The server (Dani) came to the table and she was stuffed up with head congestion, and was only able to breath from her mouth. She stated that she was getting sick, and was disrespectful to her condition and was breathing very heavy on us customers.
Watched her and she was getting lemons, and other food items with out gloves. If she was sick, she shouldn't have been there serving customers food, breathing and sniffling on the food. She should of had common sense to wear a mask if she KNEW she was sick. She stated very early on she was sick.
I have several auto immune diseases, and have no immune system.
I am so worried that I may get sick from her neglect to her health and others. It's not like I get over illnesses very easy, and I will be down for a very long time. I would like some consideration to address this matter, so someone else doesn't have to worry about dining out, and getting sick with dinner.
Desired outcome: I would like a response to my complaint, and I feel that it is up to this cooperation to determine what the out come should be. Most of the time complaints of this manner fall on uncaring ears.

The facts of my complaint are as follows.
Earlier this evening, I made an online order for home delivery from IHOP restaurant on 5851 University Ave, SAN DIEGO, CA 92115:
1. Big Burger
2. Breakfast Family Fiest
3. Strawberry milkshake
Oder total was $85.34.
Delivery was made on time; however, I only received the Big Burger.
When I called the restaurant, I was told that she could not reimburse me for the missing items, only a manager can do that. However, she told me that the rest of my order had been prepared and was ready at the restaurant for me to pick up.
I drove to the restaurant (which I really did not have time to do; hence, the entire reason for my home-delivery order and why I was willing to pay for the additional delivery charges) and picked up the rest of the order. However, when I arrived at home, I realized that I was still missing the milkshake I had ordered.
By this time, the hamburger was ice cold since it had been sitting for an hour while I made the unnecessary trip I wanted to avoid just to pick up an incomplete order.
Family Saturday dinner was pretty much ruined! And I certainly did not get what I ordered and what I paid for.
Desired outcome: Full refund.

Poor service, bad food, lack of air conditioning

We are a church group that eats at IHOP the first Saturday of every month. Food and service has been declining for quite some time. When people walk in they stand there for a long time without getting seated. The air has been out for at least 3 months, which has tables big enough to seat us. While you had employees sitting and visiting at a booth we needed help putting tables together for our group. The waitress asked them to help, but they didn’t budge. We had to just do it ourselves. The food was cold, and we didn’t get some of our food. Our bill was almost $200 for12, which included 3 kids. It’s one thing to pay that for good food, but it wasn’t good. We won’t be back, which is sad. You were our go to every month.

customer service and incorrect order
I've had many bad experiences with IHop and the last one I had it. I keep going back cause it very convenient, right down the street from my house.
Walk in to pick up my order like usual. Staff ask me if im picking up and i told him yes. He didnt bother look for my food. I know he was very busy but why ask me and didn't do anything about. I had a feeling my order was on the table didn't to check like as usual. waited for 5 min, a young lady came and ask me if im picking up. Gave her my last name and she said the first initial of my name. I said yes and i guess she wanted to pronounce my full name instead she said whatever your is. I was not too happy about it. I just took my food and walk out. I just felt like it was bad customer service.
Food..
I ordered panckage and bacon. I never check my food when i pick up the order from Ihop. I drove home open my order i got pancakes and sausages instead of bacon. just very disappointing. after the bad customer service i was not in the mood to drive back. order#[protected]
Pancake and situations
we went to a wichita falls, tc location. we havent been out since the pandemic and thought this would be a treat. we Love harvest nut and grain pancakes. there was a short wait, no problem. the hostess that seated us badly needed deodorant. we blew that off because times are hard. go to order and guess what? No harvest nut and grain pancakes anymore. the wait staff told us they were suddenly taken off the menu a short time back. ok.. so i had to go with regular pancakes, not what i wanted but im already seated. then 2 bus boys walk past to clean a table and the young one drug the wet towel across my husbands shoulder. Wow talk about no respect. then another waitress goes to take the order of the table behind me and keeps bumping me with her hiney. wow, i must be nice. i hear another table shocked and frustrated that there are no harvest nut and grain pancakes and their waitress say that at least 1/3 of their customers are complaining. *(take note corporate) after a long wait the food comes out. it is flavorless. the bacon was like eating a piece of paper, my plain pancakes were soggy inside, the ham chewy. I could have eaten at a convenient store and it tasted better. I will not be back. not ever. you may think no big deal since as i stated we had not been out since the pandemic, But you lost a customer and my guess is we are not the only ones.

i went to ihop with my wife and grandsons saturday evening between 4 & 6. that was the local location on e stone dr. in kingsport tn. WE stood waiting for the waiter to seat us as the sign said, after three or four minutes no one came to seat us. we grabbed our own silverware and proceeded to a booth. my wife then headed to the restroom. during the time she was there a lady got up from one of the tables and asked a cook, (i think) if anyone was there to take her order, he looked to his right and talked to some one. the lady was still waiting couple minutes later when my wife returned. i then went to the restroom and when i returned there was finally a waitress there and finished up taking the order and went to the next table and they had also been waiting to order. a guy who came in while my wife was at the restroom was already gone and we also left as soon as my told me the waitress was in the back with a blonde haired guy doing who knows what rather than taking care of the customers.
Desired outcome: some one needs to get the crew up to par in a hurry, before they lose the very few customers they still have. seems like that location would be bankrupt already because the parking lot is practically empty whenever i'm in that area
Care for handicapped customers
I stoped in your daloson location around 9 AM . for a much needed brake COFFEE and the senior sampler meal with coffee. All good except the way i was escorted to a table ! NO compassion fot disabled walking isues . I will not go back to my wheelchair or walker .i just do my best . i went do your 155 dalson ave Middletown NY 10940 location , where i have been befor, and will not return ! i met the front desk man , told him hoe many in my party , he showed me to a table all the way in the back corner the furthest from the door . I complained to him i an disabled and do not appreciate the long walk , him and the manager i complained to did not seem to care for my needs .
The front ot the seething aria was almost empty . WHY was i not showned a table close to the door . You can see i am handicapped and walking bad that day ( i have good and bad days ) today was definitely BAD day for walking . If you look at your cameras you see me parking in the BLUE spots .
I probably won't be going bact to your Middletown location .
The waitress was kind and polite , food was good and HOT and good tasting ,
The bathroom was clean and upkeept .
On ly issue was the lack of cair for customer walking needs.

Recently my husband and I spent time in LeGrange Georgia. We do this annually. We LOVE IHOP but we’re terribly disappointed in the iHop there. The waitress/maybe manager was training someone else which was fine, but the “trainer” needed training. We were left sitting for approximately 20 minutes with menus while she attended to the approximately 10 other people in the restaurant. It took her quite awhile to check out another party of 6 then she had to call for help. Not sure why. I did notice that they spent a lot of time chatting with other employees. We finally ordered and the new girl delivered our glasses holding them at the rim. As I stated before, it was very obvious that the employees (waitresses) needed more training and perhaps another manager. They appeared lazy.

We had took a survey for IHOP for a free shortstack and they didn't understand how it worked (untrained)
Finally they said that they would honor the shortstack, but the rang up the ticket for full price.
When asked why, they said it was a mistake, but now couldn't void the transaction.
