Sleeve lease fee
As you can see in my screen shot, I am way over charged. Roadside asstince fee, when I called them they told me I must use my own money and tow service, so why pay extra money every month. Sleeve lease fee. I have never had a sleeve nor do I know what they are talking about. And finally lease charge 40 dollars every month but I've had this for over six months haven't I bought this device by now? These extra fees get combined and at the end of the month if you can pay the minimum balance, your car won't work and you'll have to tow it or leave at service station until you can pay, problem is if I can't drive to work I can't make money, I make 16 an hour as a cook and pay 1200 in rent, I am paycheck to paycheck so these small Illigal fees are truly devastating to me and having a toll on my mental health.
It has also come to my attention that this is a private company making insane profits off of alcoholism. I would think this money would go to Dui victims. I made a mistake and deserve to suffer the consequences, but intoxalock has forced me to take out loans get a second job and inched me closer and closer to homelessness, not to mention my urge to drink is much higher from all this stress and of course Gasoline to get to work 7 dollars a gallon.
Desired outcome: All of my sleeve lease fees over the past 6 months be reimbursed in the form of lowering my current tab with intoxalock. Roadside asstince fee reimbursed. Device lease fee, I've paid way more than it's worth,can't I buy it permanently?
intoxalock \ two lockouts
i had a lockout two times.( 9/27/20)( 9/29/20) on 9/27/20 i was parking my truck into work and turned the truck off and the lockout was on the screen. i dont play music and the module sits on my lap. i called customer service and explained what was happening they ignored my statement and reset the module charging me a fee! even after i needed to talk to a supervisor they ignored that also. on 9/2920 i took my truck to the service station( as told to do by intoxalock) to get a re-calibration the truck locked out on the service technician! i called for a work order and was charged AGAIN! one charged was taken care of on 10/3/20. when i asked to speak to a supervisor i was put on blame it was my fault and no supervisor was around and they hung up on me !
Desired outcome: appreciate a response and a refund this is the third lockout on me!!
Intoxilock installers
My car died 5 minutes after being installed the installers said tow it at my expense but it will be a week before they could get to it
I had a shop remove it no way was I dealing with 6 months of these people.
Total rip off scam.

Baiid devices draining battery and false positive testing
Like stated previously, these devices drain batteries regardless of their condition new or old. You have no choose but to drive your car every other to preserve the battery. In colder months, you must drive it daily or your battery will be drained. Even with the battery save on the device, it’s killing your battery. These devices are poorly manufactured and very bulky. The mouth pieces fall off constantly causing distracted driving.
These devices must be calibrated or they will give faulty results. Once it gets closer to your calibration time you experience bad readings, device not asking you to blow, or telling you the blow was insufficient. The device requires a lot of lungs. For those with asthma, I do not recommend. Not sure how accurate these devices are. I’ve failed a test because of a banana before. I have my own personal breathalyzer at home and I use it if I’ve had a drink with clients. Numerous times have a tested 0.00% then tested on their device and was unable to start my car. Waited four hours and tested again on my device 0.00%, yet Intoxalock’s device stated my bac was as if I had had a drink while I waited. On top of having legal issues for these violations the limit set on these devices are so low if you take any medication because you’re sick, you’re unable to drive. These devices are set so they fail if any products containing alcohol are nearby. On top of the calibration, there is no regulation on what the service providers can change to install or calibrate your device. Everyone wins but you.
On top the calibration fees, they charge you $100 monthly per device to use these. There’s no multi car discount available. You must install these in every car in your name regardless if they’re not driven or even drivable. Sounds like a deal was struck between the state and the company to leave us at their mercy. You either pay or don’t drive. It’s ridiculous.
Desired outcome: •New smaller devices•Monthly calibrations to ensure accuracy and cap these calibrations at $10•Take accountability for false positive results•Lower monthly service fees to $50 monthly and $40 per additional device
Breathalyzer equipment
This company should be out of business. Their equipment kept draining my brand new battery, equipment malfunctions and towing, due to that, cost me alot of money. They have committed fraud and extortion. Even though I am not with them they CONTINUE to try and take money out of my account. I fully intend on taking this all the way. Anyone that wants to join me, feel free. These people need to be SHUTDOWN. Kicking someone while they are down is wrong. I WILL stand up for the little guy.

Henry: I encourage you to file a complaint with your state's attorney generals office as well as the better business bureau in your state. I did both of these things today because Intoxalock is continuing to take money out of my account for "roadside assistance" after my account is closed and paid in full. Within 4 hours of filing my complaints, Intoxalock called and offered me a $115.00 refund. Obviously, they know they are running a scam, or they wouldn't have offered me this refund. Nevertheless, I want the Iowa attorney general to file a class action law suit against this company because everyone should get their money back, not just me. This company needs to be shut down. They are crooks. Imagine being an employee there and having your job be ripping people off and kicking people when they are already down.

Portable device/Intoxalock customer service dept.
I have been inconvenienced a great deal. Stressed and totally dissatisfied with Intoxalock service. I take my livelihood very serious to have this happen. I ordered my handheld device a week before my calibration was due 9/1/22. It usually take 2 days to arrive, after the order is complete. It never arrived. I called 9/31 and was told it should arrive the same day of, at 10:30 am by UPS. I found that to be very unusual to have a device arrive the same day of, but the representatives could never explained what happened, other than, it never went out from their warehouse in time, but assured I should receive it 9/1/22 . Never arrived. I spoke with customer service starting at 7:45 am today, repeatedly over and over and I was mislead over and over again, starting as of yesterday 6/31/21. Customer service was blatantly rude, as though it was my mistake that they made an error. One representative told me “I should catch a uber and I’ll need to pay for the service center work order and also I should understand it’s a state violation missing a blow,”as though it was an error of my own. Finally, a pleasant supervisor, by the name of Michelle, took my call with some understanding and humility. She sent me to a service center near me, for scheduled time 5:15 pm that was unfortunately closed upon arrival at 5:05pm, in which they’re business hours are M-F 8-6. I have pictures attached. I have several recorded conversations with intoxalock blatantly giving misleading information, being very very very rude and and unknowledgeable on so many levels. Upon arrival to the closed service center, I contacted intoxalock again, to explain the situation all over again, as I’ve done the last 2 days..with hopes that I could get to another service center in time, only to have the representative disconnect on me and never call back. I rushed to another service center 15 mins away, to find that they had no techs available. This is by far the WORST experience I’ve ever encountered with a business of sort. This is the 3rd occurrence I’ve encountered since I’ve had the device as well, effective March 2022. Moving forward I get back on the line with intoxalock and another representative (Ke Williams) who says, “he’ll put another order in and I should receive the device by Monday and just go the entire weekend missing blows and I’ll be just fine, and if my probation officer need clarity she can call and understand it was an error on they’re behalf” because they can’t overnight etc etc …not to mention Monday is a weekend and go the entire weekend NO BLOWS, violation waiting to happen, right...WOWWWWW… at this point I’m in complete shock, disarray and disbelief on how a company, that should understand the importance and impact that all this has on individuals livelihood in the worse way, can absolutely take NO ACCOUNTABILITY for a repeated error of there own on they’re behalf. Not to mention, be so misleading, UNPROFESSIONAL and UNACCOUNTABLE ..”very unacceptable”. I will be contacting the CEO Kathy Holland, along with the media and many other in regards to such unprofessional and degrading service. I have several names of employees that I spoke with between yesterday and today. Tanya, Sharon, Ashley, Antoinette, Steven, alleged “Supervisor/ Specialist (Sheryl) that never returned my call, (Specialist/Supervisor Michelle, the ONE person that seem knowledgeable and scheduled the unsuccessful service center appointment, but however, was accommodating), Kenneth Williams, a few others..….and lastly Kimberly who scheduled a calibration for tomorrow, to arrive at the same service center with hopes of a calibration. She stated she is documenting there will be a missed blow from 5am-8am, due to the errors of intoxalock on intoxalock behalf and that will no violation of my own. I left a detailed message on my probation officers voicemail and sent her an email in regards. STILL NO CALIBRATED DEVICE, 7 days later from the date of order. I honestly feel like everyone answering the phones there, are so UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE and DISMISSIVE! It literally felt like I was in a twilight zone. Faulty Intoxalock reading
On the afternoon of July 23rd after completing a full workday, I was literally sitting there having lunch with the directors of the DUI Diversion program. I walked out to start my car, and the reading on the equipment read as that I had a BAC of something around 0.34! I immediately blew again not knowing what could be causing this reading. The next blow read as 0.2 something within seconds of the first attempt. This happened before, and the customer service rep that I spoke to because I called Intoxalock immediately directed me to NOT blow again because it would cause a "Lockout". I had an emergency with my dog and had to leave immediately. I completed my 90 requirements for the device. I called to get the device removed and was presented that I had a failure and will be required to do another 90 days. This is a very small rural community, and everyone knows everyone. I have local government that was sitting there with me that can vouch that I was not drinking and was NOT intoxicated in any way. I have tried to resolve this, and no luck. I need assistance with this issue. I am not at fault and can prove it with my attorney. I am a local business owner and very involved with my community. I never had a "Lockout"! Please assist. so you got no warning on your unit of a lockout, the DUI intervention says your clean, the courts say your clean, but intoxalock says they have a unreported [to your unit] lockout? how does that work? id say get a court order for removal since everyone knows you did your time. Nightmare with this company
Within 30 minutes of installation I was getting my car towed, then when I demanded removal of there device ,when i finally got ahold of a human.took 12 hrs and 4 hrs on the phone ,no way was I dealing with this bs for 6 mo,they want to charge me 300 to remove a device that is messing up my car and leaving me straned...tell me after paying over 500,I have to tow it again then pay removal fees..

First time ever I got to calibrated it caused a permanent short in the car where the battery had to be unplugged therefore they told me to get another car when they took it out of my old car my old car brake lights quit working gas gauge quit working all engages on the dash quit working blinkers quit working a car runs like crap and the car that they put it in this time it don't run.

My name is Gary Peterson. I live at 221 So 53rd St, Tacoma, WA 98408. In April of t his year, my son, Danny Peterson, went ahead an contracted with you folks to have a unit installed on my vehicle so he could get his year in for past drunken driving incident. We agreed to let him use my car because he does not own a car not and can't afford one. Mine is also the main car he uses. Sometime in May, the ball started rolling, and a unit was installed by a local Car Toys here in Tacoma. We got the car back, and the battery promptly died. We had the car towed back over to Car Toys, and they put in a new battery (supplied by us from Costco). It died. too. The technician said it must be a faulty Intoxalock unit. Danny called you folks, and you folks wanted a new lease agreement. Danny balked at this, and after my intervention, you folks sent him new lease agreement. I finally got him to sign it, and I tried emailing it to you, but that did not work (I don't know why). Last Monday. I put the signed agreement in a self-addressed stamped envelope and sent it to you. I would think it must be there by now. I tried calling you folks, but you won't talk to me unless Danny approves it. He mental illness won't let him do that. I am the registered owner of the car (2004 Acura MDX, plate BTB3195). I suffer from advanced MS. This vehicle has been modified with a left-footed gal pedal (which I am require to have in any car I drive0 and a lift for my scooter on the back. I talked with a gentleman today, and he informed me that unless Danny gives his approval, you will not talk to me. I am very frustated. I have essentially been without my car for 3 months now. What can you folks do? User's recommendation: find something else

I just want this to be on writing because, so far, my experience with Intoxalock has been draining my bank account, a major inconvenience (I recognize that's somewhat of the point), and have received little to no assistance through my conversations with representatives over the phone.
Since installing my device earlier this year (March) I have resorted to working from home primarily and frequently have had the device drain my battery rendering my car useless (oftentimes discovering this last minute when needing to go to work events, meetings, etc.) and having to spend more money on cabs.
I called customer service and was informed I can either put the device in power save mode, or spend more money on a portable charge (which I cannot afford and doesn't make sense to make the investment with six months left on my agreement).
Recently I went on a two-week vacation and returned to find my car had died (even on power save mode) and, due to my demanding work schedule getting caught up, could not get it jumped until a few days later (where it was parked I needed to call roadside assistance who had higher priority calls and often would take hours to arrive). I finally got it jumped to discover I now have a violation 5 for the device draining my battery and 4 hours to get it in to get it serviced or else I will be locked out. I cannot do this as I have deadlines at work, so now I am left having to hire a tow truck to get my vehicle into a service center, get it restarted, and am left with a fine for the violation. Seeing as this was not only a problem with the device draining my battery and a major inconvenience (both time and financially) I should not be left with having to pay this fee - not to mention the state mandated penalties for "tampering" (again due to the device's fault).
When calling the call center I was suggested I have someone start my car while out of town or leave it somewhere where someone could. This is not an option for me as I live far away from friends and family. The solutions are completely unrealistic and representatives have been entirely unsympathetic. Their attitude has basically been "well don't go on vacation".
If you are aware that your device requires constant power, that will subsequently drain the car's battery resulting in expensive fees and law violations that could ruin someone's life and record, why not create a device that has an internal battery?
With installation fees, monthly maintenance fees, monthly lees fees, and now violation fees tacked on to no fault but the device, this device is leaving me penniless and facing severe consequences with the state.
How can we resolve this issue?

Had problems with my device around 830 pm eastern time on August 6th. Called the hotline and waited for a half hour on hold and still nobody picked up to help me. Now today August 7 th my device locked out and now I am responsible for a lockout fee because my device is always malfunctioning. Since the first day of the intoxalock installation our truck has not worked! For a week and a half. Intoxalock is No help! No customer service. Now we have to pay to Tow it back to their shop to remove it after 250 install and not able to go to work or get food for almost 2 weeks.! So we are Towing it tomorrow and taking it OUT! Interlock Device / Customer Service the whole thing
I have been told false information that brings about terrible effects numerous times by the people who work for this company.
I was told that due to the fact I have a public defender I would receive money back for the installation.
I have not received that money back, nor any communication and the person who contacted me numerous times when I didn't want them to with "intoxalock" business now is bon voyage and mia. She told me if I had *any* questions, please be in touch. Okay, Judy, where are ya?!
She told me if I'm not going to drive it every day make sure i hook it up to a battery charger. Okay, done. Guess what? battery died. Now I have a violation which of course intoxalock thinks they are entitled to charge ME for despite the fact that I followed all of THEIR advice on how to operate their deviced. This is a racket, disruptive to my life.
NEXT: the device screams at you like an entitled toddler when you don't give it your mouth fast enough. This is actually legitimately dangerous: driving in freeway traffic with a device beeping emergency alarm at you that needs to be responded to now is anxiety and panic attack provoking and recipe for an accident. This is not a good thing to activate when you are in rush hour traffic. I've swerved several times trying to get a hold of the damn thing when it is screaming at me. NOT adding to my quality of life and again very dangerous. You could have a much more calm voice that states simply and matter of factly that it is time for you to retest instead of having military / industrial grade ALARMS sending you into panic mode simply because you need to retest.
Employees have been slightly idiotic. Unable to answer basic questions because - my educated guess - they are being paid to try to fill you with fluff since the company knows it is a racket. Spent way too much time on the phone only to be told that there was no solution and have the representative tell me six different things and that oh, actually the one i decided was not actually available.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for installation fee as promised, coverage of one months maintenance due to distress and failure of representatives to provide accurate information, reimbursement for lockout fee.

This company has been a problem since day one. The device constantly acts up depending on hot or cold weather. Anywhere from not accepting samples to giving false BAC readings ( I don't eat drink smoke or use hand sanitizer or anything that would set it off) costing me thousands and more time than it should have. Customer service is garbage and you can hardly understand the people there. I am now 3 weeks past my eligibility date which has already been extended once dur to false readings and I cannot get them to review my compliance report. 3 weeks ago they said it was sent to the DOL only to find out the DOL never received it. Now I am waiting 3 days for them to review it on top of another 7-10 days for the DOL to review their side. This place needs shut down. If my device isn't removed soon I'm going to rip it out of my car and throw it through their window. Absolutely the most pathetic garbage company I have ever dealt with. Find another company or just walk for the rest of your life. These people are idiots.

I've been through two cars with the intoxalock. Both situations, my battery has died multiple times. I was charged outages fees for lockouts that I could not prevent due to my battery dying, from having the intoxalock. I'm free of any obligations to them but, my car still sits dead in the lot while, chargers keep piling up. I was not able to drive do to inspection being out of date in the month of March. I would have had to stay my car everyday and drive it a good distance in order to maintain the battery being drained by the intoxalock.
Desired outcome: Removal of intoxalock. The tow fee. I will only pay for the month of May. 109.90.

I had have a intoxalock device .ordered from SC to ky where got this second DUI over medication . intoxalock set up it all have installed.never one time mentioned I had have a license have in my car .or want see a license .had it a whole year didn't benefit from it wasn't getting my credits .paid them a whole year caused mental anguish an my time .now have start right back over with intoxalock an give them more money.an upon that my car went into a complete lockout an broke down at a gas station an wouldn't start any more had have it towed two or three different times till I finally got it towed to the service center they found out days later it was my starter needed replacement that was three hundred along with towing fees an about three thousand for there serive a whole year which I didn't get any credits from .

Lockout
On July 7th my vehicle needed emergency repairs. The mechanic told me that he knew how to use the breathalyzer. He fixed my vehicle and when I went to pick the car up, he told me that he couldn't get the Intoxalock to work and it kept saying that his breath was "too soft". The mechanic noted all of this on my receipt. I have attached the receipt for confirmation.
Well, then I get a "Lockout" notification when I get in my car. I chatted with Felicia Anderson at Intoxalock the following day, and she removed the "Lockout" notification on the unit. She stated that I had to call [protected] and have them waive the fee.
When contacting this number, after calling numerous times because there is no one at the number to assist you, I was told that they would not "waive" the fee! They stated that it was a missed retest, and I explained the situation, but she still stated that they wouldn't waive the fee. This is a gross abuse of authority as they have my credit card number and just charge whatever they want and is totally unfair. I wasn't even near the vehicle and didn't cause this lockout.
Desired outcome: I would like the lockout fee waived.
