Movers didn't wrap furniture like we talked about when they gave us the price. They didn't pack the first truck right so they had to get another truck which took all day. They moved our stuff to a different Bekins truck to take it from North Carolina to South Carolina. Our furniture got banged up and dishes broke. Our TV wall thing got messed up too. We weren't happy with the moving company! They told us to file a claim with Bekins and we got $455 for all the damage. I wouldn't tell anyone to use John's Moving and Storage.

We got John's Moving and Storage to move all our stuff on March 30. It was a big move with lots of furniture and boxes. We've moved before, but never had such a bad experience. They messed up a lot of our furniture and our hardwood floors. They won't fix our furniture and just gave us $0.60 per pound for the damage. It's in our contract, so we'll probably have to take the $905 check they sent us. They got two estimates for our floors, but they only want to pay $1k. We want them to pay the full $3k.

We hired John's Moving and Storage to move all our stuff on August 30. It was a big move with lots of furniture and boxes. We've moved before, but this company was the worst. From the boss to the guys on the trucks, they were all unprofessional. They messed up a lot of our furniture and lost a box with important stuff. I guess it was partly our fault, but they said we didn't fill out the forms right for them to pay for the damage. When they delivered our stuff, the guys were talking about how big our house is and what kind of car we drive. They also laughed when they put my fancy china cabinet upside down on the base. They said they'd give us a repair person's name, but we had to look it up ourselves and it wasn't even the right person.

The movers said to file a damage claim, so I paid $540 for extra insurance and submitted the claim. But the company owner, ***, won't process the claim until I pay an outstanding balance of $288.19. I've been asking for proof of this balance for a year, and even got a lawyer involved, but they won't respond. Finally, in July 2022, I got a copy of the invoice, and there were errors in the accounting. I pointed this out, but *** still says I owe the balance. She also denies that her movers damaged the floors and will only pay $250 to fix the bed, which is worth $9000. The floor damage is estimated at $5000, and it happened because the movers didn't remove the legs from the furniture and scratched the wood. They admitted to this at the time, but now *** says I moved the furniture myself, which is not true.

This company did our move and we got the insurance. But they broke our stuff and messed up our house. They didn't even honor the warranty. We paid by the hour and got the insurance. But one of the guys was on his phone all the time, which is not cool. Another guy took our food out of the cooler and put his own in. Later, he messed up a wreath and dented the wall and scratched the floor. He got mad when we showed him the damage. He even threw boxes on the ground. Then he asked us to get him dinner from Wendy's. We were scared. We told them about all the damage and they said they would fix it. But it took a long time to get a response. They only offered us $950, which is not enough. We waited and then they offered us $1200. We accepted, but they still only sent us a check for $750. We're not happy.
