JPMorgan Chase minimum payment more than doubled

I have perfect credit and have had two different Chase Cards for about ten years and had been using 5% low interest rates to finance my graduate school. I have NEVER been late etc. they arbitrarily doubled my minimum from 2% to 5%, an extra $1500. I am going to refinance and get out of this with a home equity loan but Chase cannot be allowed to make RECORD PROFITS with OUR governments money by ruining good customers.

TELL EVERYONE what they have done. NONE of your friends should be doing any business with Chase. They cannot be trusted. Join the class action suit and file with your state's attorney general.

TELL EVERYONE! (OK TO POST/REPOST)

My 76 yo widowed mother contacted Chase regarding her credit card. She has never been late with anyone regarding her payments and she has an excellent credit score. She called them to work with her over the next few months while she sold some of her assets. Because she is fiscally responsible, she spoke to the companies first as suggested by all financial experts. She was told to file bankruptcy by Chase. If she files bankruptcy, Chase will recieve only 10% of the total debt at most. Remmember that Chase recieved $25 million of our tax payment but they want help those who bailed them out!

After having a BP gas card for over 20 years (back when it was an Amoco Card), Chase Bank has decided to charge me $25 a year for the 'privilege' of filling up my car with BP gas. If I convert it to a BP VISA then there is no annual fee. An annual fee on a gas card?!? Dumbest thing I have ever heard.

Not only have you lost a credit customer of 20+ years, but our family will not be obtaining gas at any BP ever again, not to mention the frequent stops for drinks/snacks. I hope the fee was worth it.

CHECK THOSE STATEMENTS IF YOU HAVE A 'PLAIN OL' GAS CARD!

I cancelled the service they provided (A debit and credit card machine) and now they refuse to send my company over $6, 000. 00 that customers have put thru their equipment. This is theft and they refuse to talk or answer questions!

JPMorgan Chase checking account practices

Chase Bank is amazing, they placed a hold on a check after recieving the funds from Citibank. They gave me a deposit slip stating that they would place a hold on half the check amount on Thursday and then went back and placed the whole amount on hold on Friday evening. When I called them they were totally uncooperative and gave the impression that they could care less about the inconvience this caused. Even though I had a Chase document that stated one thing they informed me that they did not have to honor their word. Fortunately I have a friend who works their and who assisted me with my problem but the whole thing left a really bad impression and I can no longer trust Chase to be honest and forthcoming.

Yeah, I am going to close my account with Chase Bank and go to a credit union. I have heard they are better. I put money into my account yesterday morning, saturday, two hundred CASH. I tried to use my debit card hours later Saturday night and it was denied. I only had a few dollars cash on me so I was pissed. Later that night I checked my online account and it said the money was "pending". Huh? Why? I have never had that happen with a checking account and I have had Bank of America among others. I was with Washington Mutual and was forced to become a Chase customer when the two companies merged. A relative of mine had a WM credit card and also changed over to Chase and she said the interest rates are way more than washington. I call customerservice and some guy told me that it was because Sat and Sunday are not business days. I said that was ridiculous he then said it was also because I recently turned off the overdraft fee coverage. ? Yeah, so they can't be sneaky and charge me fees which i don't find about until two weeks later! it's Sunday morning and it says it's still pending so I cannot go to an ATM because it will say I don't have the money and I cannot use my debit! Ridiculous!

Chase bank is an outright pain in the ###. I had to order an atm card because chase sent my new atm card to my old address, why? I don't know. I call chase customer service and i get this non english speaking, rude chica on the phone. I ask her if she can send me a new debit card and she gets irate, because I can't tell her the exact date I opened my account, which was about 10 years ago. Long story short, chica ramirez or whatever her name was never sent my atm card out as she claimed she would.

JPMorgan Chase chase overdraft fee scam

Prior to reading these articals, I had the dreadful experience of learning about Chase's banking policy the hard way. I call it their little transaction manipulation scheme. As the manager tried to convince me that their policy was to help me, I instantly refuted the suggestion by pointing out that policy should never supercede logic.

Oh she went into great detail about how they do batch transactions and that some vendors transactions are delayed but why is it that a small chain of banks such as WAMu can function without the delayed transactions (as if it is a software issue) and Chase can't?

Or is it that they choose to use this outdated software/strategy because it allows them to profit the most? Also, since when does batch processing outweigh the logic of batch processing according to the date and time? Why even print a balance on the statement if the balance is not going to be guided by chronological dates?

Essentially, they could exercise the right to organize the transactions in whatever way it is necessary to produce overdraft fees. All this but I don't have that luxury to manage my transactions to benefit me.

I use to be proud that Chase purchased WAMU but now I am ashamed to be affiliated with a company that cares more about it's profits than it does, it's policies to do right by the customer. Most consumers can understand chronological order. Who understands Chase's special transaction manipulation strategy? I personally do not wish to work for Chase to understand how they do banking.

It is a shame. A dreadful shame. Why not make banking easy? If it were easy, they might not make as much profit.

JPMorgan Chase mortgage issues

I originally had a mortgage with "Washington Mutual" and during the summer of 2007, I had contacted Chase because I had received a pre-approved mortgage paper in the mail from them and I was needing to refinance my duplex to open my own in-home childcare business. I called them and spoke with a guy who was willing to work with me. He had told me my credit wasn't quite high enough but he could work with me on it. He wanted to know if I knew anyone I could get to help me co-sign for about 5-6 months, just until my credit went up. I asked my oldest son and he was able to help me on this, I told him it would only be temporary and he said he would help me if it was only for 5-6 months. My mortgage payments would be high $1309.00, but the guy at Chase assured me that I would be able to lower my monthly payments and take my son off the loan...He told me to call him back around February 2008. He also told me that he knew my mortgage payments were high at the moment and that if I just set aside $5-6, 000.00 from the money I was borrowing, that it would help me get through the next 5-6 months. I had no reason to doubt that a company like "Chase" was going to lie to me or give me a runaround, so I went ahead and agreed and took out the mortgage with "Chase".

I called Chase back and spoke with the same guy I originally spoke with. He remembered me and looked back into my mortgage for me, he said that my credit did look much better and that if I called back in one month, it would be at a point where I could take my son off the mortgage and lower my payments. So...I waited one more month. I called him back and I kept getting his inbox, but no return phone calls. For almost a month, I called and called and called his number, but received no response. I called up the main "Chase" number and found out he was no longer with the company. That he left the company weeks before. I was a little upset about that...I didn't even know he had left.

I told "Chase" my situation and they told me that it was between me and this other guy, they would not honor what he had told me. I was completely stuck...I had little income and when I asked to at least take my son off the mortgage they refused by saying that since I opened a home daycare business, my income wouldn't even count until I had it for 2 years.

I have been struggling with this mortgage and last December, I kept hearing these news reports about Home Modifications. I called Chase and they worked with me on getting the Loan Modification. My mortgage went from $1309.00 to $772.10, but what they didn't tell me was that they changed the mortgage and made it subprime, and because of this I can't take my son off the loan. I tried to refinance with my son off the loan...and now...almost 2 years later...my credit still isn't good enough, yet I was originally told it was almost good enough. I payed all my debts off when I originally had "Washington Mutual" and I've been working on building it up since.

A few months ago, I heard about something called a Qualifying Assumption, so I called Chase about that. They recently sent me a package. This was for taking my son off the mortgage entirely and putting it in my name. The paperwork says there is a $900.00 non-refundable fee and $50.00 each for the credit checks. I called "Chase" on this...I have to pay this $900.00 even if I don't qualify? I was told by "Chase" that I wouldn't have qualified anyway with the type of loan I have. I told them you already knew what type of loan this was and you sent me this paperwork knowing darn good and well I would not qualify and you would have taken my $1000.00 total on this if I had turned it in? They didn't say much on that...only that we can't do anything more on this loan.

My son is in dire straights right now. I promised him it would only be temporary. I thought originally he was only going to be a co-signer, but he's actually co-owner of the property. He is homeless right now because he can't get an apartment. Every place he goes to looks at this mortgage as part of his debt. They tell him his debt to income ratio is too high to rent anything or even apply for credit.

I fell that I have been lied to from day one from this company. I had to use money I originally borrowed just to pay the mortgage for over a year, and my son can't even have a place to live

Also, several months ago, I lost my job and called Chase before my mortgage was late or due and told them my situation. I was told to call back in 2 weeks before my final payment date for the month and if I still couldn't pay my mortgage then i could get assistance. I called back and was told by someone else that that person was wrong and they couldn't help me with that.
Recently, I got a call from Chase saying I have to pay a months payment with late fee or my home is already set to go into foreclosure by next month. A supervisor said that if I don't pay, then my home goes into foreclosure and I have 30 days to move. She said that if I had called a few months sooner that they could have helped. I was confused...I did call several months sooner and now there is nothing they can do. I was even told that calling a lawyer would do me no good...this is from the main supervisor I spoke with at Chase Financial.
Now, I am at my wits end on what to do.

JPMorgan Chase unauthorized transfer between accounts

A dispute was filed for $240 of fraudulent charges when Chase bank was Washington Mutual. After the buy out Chase reversed the refunds of the fraudulent charges to make my account negative then, without my permission or informing me transferred money out of another account into the negative account. The transfer made brought my account in good standing to a zero balance of which 3 charges were “pending” before the transfer of which there were funds in the account to cover. Since they transferred the money out of my account thereby bringing the account in good standing to zero the 3 “pending” transactions incurred insufficient funds fees at $34 each for a total of a now negative balance of $102.

I know the banks have taken a hit. They are clearly out for blood and whatever they can suck out of anyone. I am not one of the people that defaulted on any loans to them. I am one of the many who is scraping by as best they can to survive these times. For a bank as big as chase, was a few hundred dollars worth it? I wonder if they will think it was worth it after I give the money I won’t be giving them to an attorney. CASE BANK IS A SCAM!

I recently had chase bank make an un authorized transfer between two different accounts. One in which I am the primary account holder and the other I am not. They transferred $858.14 from my primary account with out any notification at all. Upon calling about the transfer their representative provided me with a number and hours of operation to speak with someone about returning the money but the number was incorrect. How is it possible for chase to transfer money without notification regardless of whether or not it will cause an account in good standing to go negative? This is an outrage and there should be some recourse customers can take to get their money back. In short, Chase bank sucks!

JPMorgan Chase levy's issued on accts

Chase bank (Wamu) on june 5th 2009 had a levy from the irs for my mother whom I have a joint bank acct with due to her needing my assistance in paying her bills, she is 92 yrs of age. I also have my own individual bank acct there too and they also froze my checking acct funds on that day. Upon finding this out I phoned our tax attorney who represents my mother and they said that the bank cannot freeze my own funds, so iwent down to my branch and discussed this issue with them, the teller I dealt with had to make many phone calls back and forth to coroporate etc and then finally realizing that what they did was not correct, they released my personal acct. So things went well for the next 30 days. Then on july 3rd, my acct was froze again and when I went to the back, I was overdrawn $16, 000.00 dollars for they had issued a check payable to the irs and sent $54, 000.00 to them. Note I only had in my acct at that time was $34, 000.00 you have no idea the nightmare I have been living since this incident has occured. They did in fact place a call to the irs when I was at the bank and spoke to a person (Probably sitting in a cubicle) and that person said of course they can take money out of the acct as long as the soc sec numbers match. Of course they match my soc sec # is on my mothers joint act I have with her and it was a interest bearing acct and that is how the irs obtained my ss# and the notce to levy has my ss#, though it is not my tax issue it does not matter. After weeks going by we are sueing the bank. If they would have kept the freeze on my personal acct, our tax attorney then would have applied for a release of the levy. But since chase lifted the freeze there was no need to pursue the latter. With no correspondence what so ever, they just took the funds and sent it to the irs as remember, they have to do whatever the irs says. Of course after many calls, chase admitted verbally that they made a mistake and the levy should have remained in force. They will not issue us a letter admitting to the mistake. So now we are having a banking advocacy work with us to help us getting our money back. This $16, 000 negative with chase is now going to affect my credit history. There is a lesson to learn. If you have a joint acct with family member and if your own personal acct is at the same bank, make sure the family member is clear of owing any money to any tax officials, or else your funds could be at risk. We now keep just enough money in the bank to pay our monthly expenses and let me tell you lastly, it did not seem to bother them one bit nor were they understanding in the matter.

JPMorgan Chase predatory business practices

Loan opened on 08/31/2017 in the amount of $8272.00 under account number [protected]. Loan terms are for 24 months, no interest financing 0% APR.
Minimum Payments due each monthly billing cycle for the promotional period. If such payments are not made, finance charges will be imposed from the purchase date
at the 24.75% APR. After 23 consecutive payments, I send check for the last payment for the total of $281.34 on 08/19/2017. On 09/04/2017 I received new statement
for $281.34 + $39 late fee. I contacted billing department immediately and had been notified by their staff that they didn't receive my last payment. I made
arrangements to pay bill over the internet and payed full amount. 10/09/09 I received new bill stating that my promotional plan canceled and finance charges
accrued(starting from 08/31/07) are my new balance equal to $2040.82. I called them on 10/09/09 trying to explain and dispute charges. They promised to review the
case. On 10/13/09 I received the call from Chase Health and they notify me that my claim is denied and I am responsible for the whole amount of $2040.42 I mentioned
that how convenient for them to lose my last payment and make $2040.42 out of blue. Moreover, when the account was paid in full via internet with the last payment due on 09/29/2017, the account information online stated that the remaining balance due on that account was $0.00. The statement claiming that an additional amount of $2040.42 in finance charges was owed did now get issued until 10/04/2017. Chase Health Advance apparently took 6 days to come up with this fictitious claim of $2040.42 in finance charges. This is at minimum fraudulent activities and entrapment.

Hello, My Name is Dominga Arenas
I started with a problem with this company on 12-13-12 my last payment was supposed to have been made on 12-11-12 when I called on 12-13-12 I talked with Amanda a supervisor they transferred me to because of my late payment, which she explained I also had to pay and I did. I made a payment that day of 232.93 instead of 207.93 I preceded to apologize and explained my reason for being late I explained to her that my Sister is in the Hospital pending a cerebral surgery and I was not my self but I would pay the late fee anyway since this was my final payment. she placed me on Hold and when she came back on the Line now she said that I had to pay the accrued interest of Approx $780.00 once the bill was generated in January. I pleaded that we were struggling financially due to the situation with the Hospital and asked if they at chase would please reconsider since this was my final payment. Please Help me to resolve this situation. Thank You

I've set up online bill pay... Transfers me to another site, will not allow me to pay online... Will not take my login and password... Can't talk to real person, always ridiculous wait time, no email or live chat support. Only option is to call and wait, wait, wait. Seems they intentionally try to make you late so they can jack up interest rate & pay fees. They suck! Paying off asap & will never do business with chase again. Thus us my 2nd account & have had problems with both.

I want to add to the above complaint that the extra $40.00 that was added on to the original amount was almost 14%. When the account was opened they told me the interest was to be 10.99%. When I get the first bill the interest goes up without warning? Is this legal? When this account was opened, I told them I wanted to pay this immediately when I received the bill because I didn't want to pay that high of interest on such a large amount as I had other means where I could pay the bill immediately. The interest I have on other cards are 5.99%. So why would I want to use Chase Health Advance in the 1st place? I also cannot believe that the total interest is now almost $60.00 when I just opened this account (and paid it off in full).

applied for ChaseHealthAdvance in December 2017. It was offered by my dentist’s office as the convenient credit option, which allows me better manage my finance and avoid to pay a big sum at once for orthodont’s treatment.
However I figured out that it was a big mistake to use ChaseHealthAdvance credit.
The first due of misunderstanding with dentist office clerk I made a late payment. I believed that it would be direct payment. Ok, it was my fault, I paid late fee and all next payments were paid by due date.
After that I figured out that ChaseHealthAdvance recalled promotion percentage rate and switch to 27, 99%, which is definitely does not match my understanding of good finance management.
By the 1st of April I paid all balance including 332.92 interest charge in order to close account.
However I got another statement, which said that I need to pay another 83.75 interest charge.
Concerning all these above
I find information in statement not transparent. There is no detailed information about how Balance Subject to Interest Rate was calculated.

Balance Subject to Interest Rate
Statement from 12/09/2017 5, 000.00 clear
Statement from 01/09/2017 5, 000.00 clear
Statement from 02/09/2017 4, 769.00 ?
Statement from 03/09/2017 1, 404.32 ?
Statement from 04/09/2017 3, 523.39 ?
Because ChaseHealthAdvance has not provided clear information about how all charges had been calculated, I request to close my account right away. Which of course was refused to do. More over I called and wrote them to request more detailed information how they got such charges. However I didn't get any replay on my requests.

I had gotten lasik eye surgery and financed through Chase Health Advance. Even from the Start the bill never came and never came and never came. I called every month to make sure my payment was made on time and to ask them why i wasnt getting a bill. I confirmed my address with them several times. Finally i started getting a bill and it came like 2 or 3 days before i had to have the payments mailed into them. so it still never did me any good. then i started getting bills with late charges on them. I would call and ask why even though i made my payment on time why i still had to pay a late charge. They never once let me off the hook. Then to make things worse i got a bill with all accured intrest around 2 or 3 months before i would have been done with payments. I called and spoke with manager after manager and they refused to do a single thing for me even tho i paid on time. its a crazy scary scam ! Please find other places to finance through this is not the place!

IF you ever wanted to know what unconscionable business practices are, this about this company and make your own assessment. In the guise of helping individuals with interest free funds for medical procedures, they will charge unconscionable interest fees should you miss a deadline or payment. It is a trap. People will undoubtedly mess up on the payments and they will sweep in with insane interest rates, and even interest on long paid off payments!

My story is simple. I did one their their loans, set up monthly payments through my bank so as to not miss a payment. Something went awry on the last payment (we thought it was paid) and we missed a second payment (again thinking it was paid off). SO, we sucked up the very high late fees and just paid it all off in early January - just to be done with the headache.

Come February, I get another bill for $155. It shows that I paid off the entire balance on the previous payment. But, now I owe interest because I didn't finish the payments within 12 months.

What a business? I pay this bill and then I am sure I will get another.

Stay away from these crooks! And, warn your friends and businesses. They are not benevolent whatsoever. They would not budge on me owing on interest even though I paid off the balance the previous month.

I am considering suing them for Consumer Fraud in one of the New Jersey state small claims court. The Consumer Fraud Statute calls for double or triple damages and my important, LEGAL FEES.

I too have had bad experiences with Chase Health Advance. I made a payment using my bill pay service and it didn't go through. I honestly don't know if it was my error or the website. When I discovered the error I went back and made the payment. I had been paying the bill using my bill pay service because Chase Health Advance said they didn't have an automatic withdrawal payment option.

I then received a letter saying that because one payment was not received timely they were going to rescind the promotional no interest charged feature of the contract. Whenever I have tried to receive information about this I spoke to someone with Chase Health Advance that is rude and disrectful, and seems to be attempting to work around the flaws in the payment system and shaft the customer. This seems to be a typical tactic with Banks these days. They receive our tax money from the government and then get more by cheating the customer our of more.

The way I see it its not my fault that Chase Health Advance doesn't have a method of taking the funds directly out of my checking account, however I am being held responsible to pay more all the same. If this is not in violation of a banking regulation concerning loans or the Consumer Fraud Protection Act I would be surprised.

JPMorgan Chase fraudulent late fees

On October 12 as I was doing my online banking with Chase I noticed that a $0.00 amount was due. That same evening when verifying interest rates and other account activity, I noticed a $39 late fee on still $0.00 minimun payment due. When I called to inquire how Chase could charge a $39 fee on $0.00 minimun payment due according to my most recent online Chase.com statement they insisted it was 'my duty and responsibility to keep up my payments to avoid late fees.' Again, I explained to them, and also asked them to explain to me, how Chase could charge $39 late fee on $0.00 minimun payment due? They gave me the continuous scripted explanation, and their inability to waive the $39 late fee. When I asked to speak to a Supervisor the representative insisted 'no supervisor was available to take my call, and that I would recieve the same answer.' As I then asked if the department was left to run amuck without Supervision she put me on hold and when returned said 'no supervisor was available.' So, does anyone else know a good mathmatician to explain our government run banks the simple addition and subtraction tables to explain this one?

JPMorgan Chase home refinance

I have an existing mortgage with Chase and wanted to refinance at the lower rates. Started the process May 11, 2009. Faxed the documents they requested the next day. Didn't hear anything back so on June 11 I called and spoke with Shane R. who was handling my refinance. He said they never received the fax (they had requested them to be sent within 48 hours, why didn't he let me know if they hadn't received them-especially after a month had gone by) So I refaxed everything the next day. Then I hear from a loan processor, Kathleen E., on June 23 saying she is processing my loan and they need some of the documents refaxed. At this point I'm starting to wonder what's going on. I can't get anyone on the phone and they won't return my calls. August 19 I get an email from a Laura T. who says she is assisting with my loan and wants to order the title work. So I send her the information. I keep asking what the hold up is-no one can tell me. Kathleen says she'll tell me when the file comes back from underwriting. Sept. 30-She never does until I call her supervisor-within an hour Kathleen emails me that it has come back from underwriting but she needs more documents faxed and it has to go back to underwriting. Oct. 2 I finally realize this is never going to end or they will jack me around several more months and then probably deny the refinance. So I call one of the supervisors and request to stop the refinance and am told I will be reimbursed $350. I am told to contact Shane, so I do. I call him, he picks up and when I tell him I'm canceling it, he says he's on the phone with another client and will have to call me back! Tonight or maybe tomorrow. Yeah, right. Of course that didn't happen. I emailed I was canceling and wanted my credit card reimbursed $350. This is what he wrote back on Oct. 5:
"I know that you have been extremely patient and I couldn't agree with you more! Your file is back in underwriting for what should be the final time. You are in the last stretch now of your loan, but if you still want to cancel then please confirm once more that is your final decision. Once we cancel, it is irrevocable and we can't get your rate back. If you choose to cancel, you will be credited back $350 to your credit card after your loan is officially cancelled." I emailed him and said cancel and reimburse me. Nothing has happened, so I emailed him again. His reply to me on Oct. 13-"As indicated on our initial call, as well as in recent emails, the $750 is a nonrefundable fee if you withdraw from the application. Chase is not denying you, you are simply withdrawing. Your loan was almost completed. So your credit card of course will not be reimbursed. Hope this clarifies." I wrote back and reminded him that he said in an email I would be reimbursed the $350 and I would be contacting my attorney. And that's not a joke. I haven't heard back from Chase. They are ripping people off! Is there a class action lawsuit for this yet? This is criminal. Do not deal with Chase.

Bait & switch!!! Chase bank mortgage loan officer locked a 4.25% rate with a 1/8 pt back to us on a 5/1 arm on july 26, 2009 after we paid what they required — a $750 application fee which they said was non-refundable, but we were not worried as we were "pre-approved" (We should have realized it was a scam at that point — but chase bank??). JPMorgan Chase would rather foreclose than take off intrest

We applied for a home mortgage loan modification, its been 7 months and no word. Knew we may never be able to afford home so we decided to try and sell home to avoid foreclosure. Called Chase and they said we owed 215, 000 on loan so we listed the home. Sold home (2 homes next door have been up for sale for over a year and one was foreclosed on) Title company gets final payoff and we now owe 229, 000, original loan was 217, 000 and have paid on it for over 3 years. Called Chase to find out why the loan is so much and they said it was interest. Asked if they could forgive the interest or some of it so we could close on the house in 2 days and they said NO, thus being transferred several times and 3 hours on the phone. Fanny Mae is the investor and Chase services our loan. The Chase guy named Michael said that Fanny Mae would never forgive interest and that foreclosure was our only choice. I think Chase really wants these homes no matter the cost.
They don't work for their customers, they are lazy, always telling you to call back or transfer you and NEVER getting the loan modification papers even though they were faxed 4 times! (Greenpath on a 3 way call the 2nd time papers were faxed Chase actually admitted to having them and then didn't have them when we called the next week.)

Cantakemuchmore, I too have a loan with Chase.
Try this email format to get in touch with them. First name dot middle initial dot last name@chase.com. Loan Mod department is slow. Don't give up, I am on my 4th go around and have emails of their commitments.

Also check out www.irs.gov Form #982. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f982.pdf
Don't know if this would apply, but it may be useful.

JPMorgan Chase customer service

I am a loyal Amazon shopper, so i got its credit cart to collect points with my purchases.
i have been using chase amazon card for 2 years, and last week with mistake i deposited $ 1020 instead of $1120, because i made 2 payments and basically i had miscalculation. But for the last 2 years i always paid my debt in full days ago, sometimes 20 days ago. Anyway in my next statement I saw a finance charge, because they told me, they applied interest to the whole amount rather than 100 bucks..ALthough i paid $1020 ?This rule is just robbery...
Anyway i sent an email to them and then told them i wanted to close my account, because i did not like how they treated to me..
Then they closed it and they told me they forfeited my points..I had almost $75 Amazon cash? Problem they did not tell me they would forfeit my miles if i had to cancel, if they told me of course i would not..
So they basically punished me and also robbed me.
I already had those purchases, and they made commission out of it ..right? How they can forfeit my old points?
STAY AWAY FROM CHASE BANK, THEY WILL USE ANY CHANCE TO ROB YOU.
IT IS SO POOR THAT AMAZON HAS SUCH A PARTNER, BECAUSE AMAZON HAS A GREAT SERVICE, EVEN PRODUCT IS SOMETIMES MORE EXPENSIVE ON AMAZON, I STILL BUY ON THEM, BECAUSE I KNOW THEY WILL ALWAYS HELP ME IF I HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH MY PURCHASE

Chase presents a statement which fails to list charges in an accurate chronological order. The presentation could also improved if it provided a subtotal for various amazon categories of charges [prime video, for example].

I am also a loyal Amazon shopper. I never had a problem with Amazon. I also collected a great many points. I found out recently that an updated credit card had been sent to me three months ago and my listed card recently expired. I never received the replacement card. Never notified by Chase nor Amazon.. Chase acted as if I did something wrong! When I asked them why I was'nt notified when the card was'nt activated in a timely manner. They said the card was AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATED!? So anyone can use the card?! Not happy! I will wait until I use up my points, A friend warned me about the loss of points. THEN I will cancel my Chase credit card. Amazon should be ashamed of themselves! Chase is known to be a "ripoff bank" Amazon should rethink their relationship with Chase. I have told all my friends and relatives about what happened and how I was treated by Chase.

JPMorgan Chase chase bank, a nuisance

I would never finance my home loan with jp morgan chase bank. Before buying my house, I already knew that this bank was big fraud. I felt so comfortable with washington mutual being my home lender. Unfortunately, after its collapse, wamu fell in the worst financial hands: chase's. Since then, I have been experiencing a nightmare. Jp morgan representatives, what ever their rank) are fraud, "cheater", arrogant, ignorant, incompetent and jealous. This is particularly true for the ineffectual customer service people who answer the calls and behave like if they were as brilliant as einstein and as knowledgeable as the library of congress.

Jp morgan chase bank, a minus for the country, does not deserve better than a collective lawsuit. Let's unite to have them act in the interest of the american family.

I had my home loan modified in July of 2009 from a 10.5 % ARM to a 5.0% fixed rate through Bank of America. I made my new payment in Aug, Sept, and October to Bank of America with my new terms in effect. In november JP Morgan Chase took over my loan and has been trying to charge me the old rate of 10.5 ARM. I have been sendin in the modified payment amount on time every month since November and was originally told it would be taken care of in a few days. Her I am 5 months later getting collection calls, 3 this week alone. Although I have been sending my modified payment in they see me as sending partial amunts and have been adding late fees. They are also reporting my account as delinquent to the credit beaureas. I have called them and explained the situation and have even faxed them the official modification papers from July but to know avail. In the last 5 months I have made 13 calls to them to get the same result and them saying it would be cleared up in a certain amount of days. Well today I called a Lawyer and they said I have a legitimate case, it is called FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES CLAIM and they are in violation. In a case such as this the consumer is not charged any fees the company liable pays all fees incurred.

JPMorgan Chase Chase bad for america and americans

Chase bank is a very bad citizen taking all possible advantages from the government and tax payers. In turn, this bank, which has become so powerful after taking over Washington Mutual for peanuts, means to put America in a big mess an many Americans on their knees.

I personally have been experiencing a nightmare with this bank. My sisters, brothers and friends are dealing, for their respective home loans, with either Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Wachovia, City Bank or TD. None of them has any reason to complaint as much as I legitimately do about JP Morgan Chase Bank.

In America, the most democratic country ever, Chase Reps. of all levels of authority always refuse to confirm any agreement in writing. ARE WE BOTH IN THE MIDDLE AGE AND UNDER A DICTATORSHIP (Chase's Dictatorship)?

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT A COLLECTIVE LAWSUIT AGAINST CHASE BANK?

BOYCOTT JP MORGAN CHASE!

JPMorgan Chase misappropriated mortgage payments

I made payment to chase and they gave me credit for them and then for no reason at all that I can see the payments were reversed and they now say I am two months delinquent on my mortgage payments.. I have been dealing with this Since September of 2008> The payments have cleared my bank and I have repeatedly sent proof the payments have cleared. I have investigated the RESPA laws and sent Chase letters that ask for a resolution of this problem and they just ignore them. I contacted an attorney who said the cost to file suit made filling a law suit an unwise idea- he did how ever tell me to contact my congress person and ask them to file a congressional inquiry. So that is where I am now. I just read another complaint that mirrors my story. If you are reading this- Sent them a letter requesting they no longer call you- be sure to send it certified and include all numbers that they might call you at. It doesn't solve anything but It makes your home life quieter

I work 60 hour weeks and have 2 little kids so my life is plenty busy. Got stuck with Chase after refinancing a couple years ago and I have been receiving computerized calls from Chase on a daily basis for the past several weeks. Called the number back and they asked for my account number. Gave them my account number and they couldn't identify what the problem was. So started ignoring the calls. Checked my bank account statement to confirm that my monthly debits to Chase had been going through. Everything looked good. So imagine my distress today when I received FOUR foreclosure notices (2 addressed to my wife and 2 to myself). Chase says my account is two months in arrears (something to the tune of $6, 500). Despite the fact that payments have been debited from my bank accounts in both months. Turns out that the insurance escrow fee increased a little bit. The payments didn't match, so they bumped my payments into suspense account. This seems like a good strategy to collect interest, because to them I'm short over $6, 500 rather than the $70 or so dollars that my insurance escrow changed. They aren't crediting me any interest for the two months my payments sat somewhere in their coffers. No email alerts were sent to me during this time to notify me of the change. Meanwhile this poor customer service rep is fronting for this ridiculously incompetent (if not outright fraudulent) institution. She promises that she has applied the suspense amounts to my balance. But it will take 3 days to clear and she can only give me a work order # as proof of our transaction. I go online and try to sort out where I stand and there is absolutely no way a reasonable person can figure out how to remedy and get the right monthly payment to prevent future payments to go into suspense.

Fortunately I'm doing well financially during these troubled times. At the same time I'm getting multiple offers for Chase Continental and Sapphire cards in the mail for me or my wife. How this bloated institution can be proceeding on foreclosure on the one side and offering me pre-approved credit cards on the other is comical. I had no choice but to endure this monolith because they bought my mortgage. Can't move it without refinancing at great cost and taking my chances, (that whatever resulting mortgage isn't bought by Chase again). You can't choose your servicer.

If they hit my credit rating I will sue.

I am having very similar problems since 2007. My mortgage was also sold to them. How in the world are they being allowed to get away with this? I have read so many complaints since my issues with them began. AND I piles of correspondence that I have sent to them. But like everyone above, I get no direct acknowledgement or correction of the issues!

I too am going thru the same bull. Chase took over my account in Dec.2009 from Bank Of America and it has been nothing but hell since. And yes, every 2 months some dummy calls in reference to we are past due. I do not know what the hell these people are doing. They ask the same question and always has no record of anything. I wish that they wouldn't have never never sold my mortgage to them. I hate this bank.

My wife and I have had our home mortgage with WAMU for about 6 years before being sold to Chase. Our mortgage remained under WAMU for about six months until August of 2008. In August 2008 we recieved a letter from Chase telling us that Chase had now completed their takeover of WAMU. The letter welcomed us as new customers of Chase and told us that nothing would change regarding our mortgage and that if our payment was made by bank draft they would continue the bank draft just as before. We filed a chapter 13 bankruptcy in Feb of 2008 due to medical expenses and our mortgage was not included in the bankruptcy. We have never missed or been late with a house payment at any time with Wamu or Chase bank. You will note there is around six months of time between when we filed bankruptcy and when Chase completed their transitioning from Wamu to Chase. Chase took over the operation of Wamu in the fall of 2007 months before we filed bankruptcy. Now back to the letter regarding being new Chase customers and nothing would change and that we could expect top notch customer service in August 2008. Moving ahead one month to Sept. 2008 we then recieved a letter from Chase saying they would no longer honor the monthly bank draft of our mortgage payment because we had filed for bankruptcy and we would have to make the payment direct to Chase. We thought at the time it was a little strange that Chase would no longer draft our payment because of a bankruptcy that had not included our mortgage with them. It then gets even more strange, frustrating and down right wrong. We decided no big deal will just make our payment at our local branch each month. We go to our branch to make payment and the clerk tries to make our payment thru their system and is told that we cannot make our payment at any Chase Bank and that it has to be sent by mail to some address in Florida to Chases bankruptcy dept. Our Local branch manager was appauled at this developement and even she didn't know why we were being treated this way when Chase wasn't included in our bankruptcy. Oh Yeah! I forgot to tell you we also have our checking and two savings accounts at Chase. So the next day I call the customer service dept listed in the (we stopped your bank draft letter) to be told that If I was afraid the payment might be late because we were now past the date the draft should have been done that for a fifteen dollar fee I could make the payment via debit card over the phone. So that is what I did getting more angry by the minute. Next morning I call back to the same customer service number were I was told my only options were to send our payment in the mail or to pay with debit card to be told that I had been given the wrong info the day before and that as long as we had not included Chase in our bankruptcy that they would be sending the proper paperwork and instructions on restarting our payment via automatic draft. Recieved materials within a few days, returned and everything was back to normal or so we thought! Every thing was fine until the following May when again we get the same letter cancelling our bankdraft because of filing backruptcy. I call the Idiots back at customer service and end up talking to four different people before I'm told that they made a mistake and that they would send paperwork to start draft again! Oh and that I should make my May payment over the phone just to make sure it wasn't late. Yes, you guessed it and pay another fifteen dollar fee! Really mad now but can't change banks until our bankruptcy is dicharged in Feb of 2011! Well at least we won't have to go thru that again. Wrong again. It is now November 2009 and the wife is balancing our online checking account to find our mortgage payment was not drafted on the 10th when it should have been and it's now the 16th of the month! This time we recieved no notice whatsoever that our payment draft had been stopped! I call the Idiots at customer service again, explain whats going on and am told they are really sorry that we never recieved a letter but they thought one was sent but not sure. this time we are told that we have to have our Attorney and the Bankruptcy Trustee sign a letter stating we have their permission to continue the bank draft and fill out paperwork again. You got it, pay another fifteen dollars to make sure payment is not late and lifes good again, right? Wrong. It's now June 16th of 2010 and we just got a letter from Chase telling us they have sent letters to our Attorney and the Trustee that our payment due on the 1st of May is late! Didn't stop the bank draft this time which is always done on the 10th of the month and not the 1st. Draft was taken on the 10th of May as it should have been and also on the 10th of June. We have now made those two payments by draft as should be but Chase is saying Mays is late! oh my God am I angry! I call the Idiots in customer service again to be told by the Rep. that yes she can see on the system that they did recieve payment for May and June when it was due and she didn't know why the letters had been sent to our Attorney and Trustee. I tell her she needs to correct the mistake that was made and to send letters stating such. I'm then told she needs to put me on hold for a minute. She gets back on the phone and says I have to assign you a case number and have you call back in 72 hours so we have time to confirm that you have no late payments due and it takes that long to make the inquiry. I ask her why if she can tell our other payments were made that we can't just take care of this now! I'm told that's not proper procedure! Again she asks if we have ever had a late payment? I tell her again there has never been a late payment in the life of this mortgage. How much you want to bet that they find one! Chase Bank is run by thieves and incompetents and at the end of all this I'm guessing we will be screwed! I'll let everyone know what happens.

Chase did the same thing with my payments. A few days after the payments were posted, they were reversed for no apparent reason. But, they were still in possession of the money for the month of January 2010 and charged me interest for the entire month.
When I complained to them on numerous phone calls, they were of no assistance. I have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve this problem, with no success. I have just filed a complaint with OCC that is the gov't regulater for Chase. I suggest you do the same. [protected].

JPMorgan Chase misrepresentation, poor customer service

Do not do business with Chase! I had an account with this company for four years with no problems until a recent baffling episode. I received 0% APR balance transfer checks, which I kept on my desk in case I might need them within the alloted offer time frame. Within that time frame, my infant daughter had used my Chase card as a toy and lost it in our home. I informed Chase about the incident; they said its no problem, they will just issue a new account number and send a replacement card. They also informed me that no changes will take place with the account itself, merely a new number. I then had a need for the balance transfer checks when I decided to take my wife on vacation. I used the check to pay off a seperate card which was used for the plane tickets. However, Chase sent me a letter informing me that they will not honor the check because it was issued to a now "closed" account. That caused me a $39 fee from both credit card accounts for a "returned check charge." When questioned about this madness, Chase employees rudely and harshly vomited out their company's policy without any explaination whatsoever. I was cut off mid-sentance and transfered to unrelated departments, left messages with supervisors who never called back, and treated like garbage by every employee I talked to. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CHASE CARD SERVICES. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!

JPMorgan Chase is there a lawyer who will file a class action case against chase home fiannce?

After reading all the complaints here against chase home finance, I would love to know if there is a lawyer who is willing to take on a class action lawsuit against chase.

I have been attempting to get things settled with chase who drag their feet and mislead me every time and lie to me and my $153, 000 mortgage of 2 years ago they are now claiming is $163, 000 and I have paid them almost $18, 000 in the past 2 years. Now does that make sense? And all they want me to do is keep refiling paperwork for a modification. I have done 3 modifications in the past 2 year and each time they drag their feet, do not accept my payments telling me they are not necessary while they are attempting to work out the modification, and then add late charges and such for not making payments the months they take to work on the modification.

What I have done so far, is contact my us senator. Maybe if we all contact our senators, maybe they will look into what chase is doing with those bank funds?

I think this has gone far enough. This is my third time trying to get a modification finalized with Chase and I am waiting to see how much my loan goes up because they want to add their costs, interest and attorney fees.
*sighs!*

Pray we find some attorney who is willing to help the U.S. citizens to protect our homes! According to philosopher John Locke we have the "natural right to life, liberty and property". Sound familiar, yes, Thomas Jefferson wrote in our Declaration of Independence as, "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".

I think we need to write a NEW Declaration of Independence from these "bail-out" Banks! We have a right to our property and our happiness!

It's June 2012 and I am facing the same issues. The first post was in 2009. It's a dang shame that Chase has gotten away with the same type of fraud for so long, and continues to do so. I am also in search of a Real Estate Attorney that will take my case against Chase, but most of the firms have Chase as a client. I haven't seen a post where someone has found a lawyer. It's been 3 years and no one has been successful? Injustice.

I would like to participate in the suit as well.
Here is my story…
We purchased our home in 2005, at the peak of the South Florida real estate boom.
Six months later I lost my high paying job. Less than a year later my husband lost his job forcing us to supply our lack of income with our savings.
Fast forward to September of 2010, with our savings running out and my husband unable to find a decent paying job (temping at barely above minimum wage) we reach out to Chase for help. We were told that since we were still making payments they were unable to help us. So we asked them if they would help us if we stop making payments and their reply was that then we would be in default and they would foreclose. No mention of any programs was made to us.
January 2011 – savings are dried out, we have made our last mortgage payment and are now leaving paycheck to paycheck, which scares the living s%$t out of us!
I want to point out that our credit scores were well above 700, close to mid-700s at this time.
The calls from Chase start fast and furious and insulting as well! One representative going as far as telling my husband to “get a job bum or I’ll come and take your home!”
We finally get to speak with a decent Chase rep (tongue in cheek) that gets us on the road to a million forms. Takes us about six months of back and forth with forms, faxing, FedEx, faxing, signing, gathering, more signing, more FedEx etc. Chase agrees to lower our payments by $1, 000 per month, something that we can live with and buy groceries. About two weeks ago I contacted our Chase rep because I had some questions and was informed that they had not received the final original application so once again we run to FedEx to send it. We then receive a letter saying that we refused the loan mod and the only option we have now is short sale or foreclose. I call the rep again and she informs me that the application was rejected because Chase did not receive our paperwork on time. We have FedEx proof that the documents were received and signed for by a Chase employee. Then last Friday we received a letter from Chase informing us that we did not qualify for the loan mod because the loan with Chase is not a first lien. We have only one loan on our home and it is the one with Chase.
Just this morning I called our contact at Chase and was told that we now need to re-start the loan modification application process all over again. I also asked her if we should continue to make the trial payments amounts and was informed that Chase will need the full amount…well HELLO! Don’t you think that if we could make the full payment amount we would NOT be having this conversation?
We are very frustrated and at the end our rope and don’t know what to do at this point. Our home is worth less than half of what we owe. We are not bums but hard working Americans affected by the crappy economy. Between my husband and I we have purchased and sold over 10 primary homes during our lifetimes, always making mortgage payments on time all the time and are not looking for a “money making” opportunity just some help.

Thanks for reading my post and good luck to all.

I am having the same problems. I lost my job. Called chase said they would help me. Sounded really nice until after they denied my first modification. Then it was pay now... balance in full... foreclosure... I have applied at least 5 times maybe even 7 I have lost count. We are expecting our third child and I don't even know if I can start planing a nursery or not. My blood pressure is so high the doctors are concerned. They tell me to try not to stress out on things. How the hell can I do that when I don't know if the next knock on my door will be fourscore papers. Where will my children sleep. Oh please someone help us!

I applied for a Loan Modification with Chase in September of 2009 and got told that I was pulled out of the program with not notification. I complained and they reapplied for the modification. When I tried to make my last test payment they refused it and said that I had to make the full past due payment or they couldn't accept any at all. I used everything I had and even had to borrow money from my bother to pay it all. I was sent a letter supposedly telling me that I did not qualify for the program and why...of course the letter does not state what program I did not qualify for and does not list a reason why I didn't qualify. I have saved everything that I sent to them including my original application for the loan modification. I have noticed that in the past almost 2 years they have not done an evaluation of my escrow payments and have not changed them at all. I continue to pay my house note but I would LOVE to sue the pants off of Chase and own my house free and clear. Count me in on this. My email address is hilda1116@bellsouth.net.

Ok, I just saw the latest post. We are in TN. We found out today that our home has not been in modification since a week after we filed and told that we were. We have been paying our monthly loan mod payment for almost 2years now. We spoke with Chase tonight and they informed us that we are almost 2 year behind on our loan and were never in loan mod because of a miscalculation...NOT MY FAULT. We experienced damage from the recent storms in the area and they are holding the check to fix the damage until we bring our loan current. WE ARE OUTRAGED. I am contacting an attorney tomorrow to start a law suit. Not only are they holding the funds to complete repair on our HOME, they have reported negative on our credit for the past 16 months. I have taken every step to complete and ensure that what we needed to do for our loan mod was current. Now, we find that we are about to lose our home. As much as I hate to find that others have to deal with this, I am relieved to know we are not the only ones. I am sorry for everyone dealing with this.

JPMorgan Chase refinacing process

On March 26, 2009 we applied for a refinancing loan with Chase our current mortgage company. Our credit score is 800. We submitted all the documents the loan officer requested the next day. We were preapproved for a 4.873%interest rate on $567, 000 loan. We currently pay $300-$400 extra every month towards the principal since we bought the house 4 yrs ago. We never missed a payment. I had to give them a check for $ 750 and they would lock in the rate for 60 days. He (Mac-loan officer) did say that if the bank delayed the process then the rate would still be locked in past the 60 days. Also if they declined us we would get the $750 back.

On Sept 23 we were declined for the following reason: "We got the Final Review done with Underwriting. And they have Final Declined your loan application.

Here are the exact words of the Underwriter;

"The maximum DTI "Debt to Income" with all the mortgage insurance companies is 41%. The DTI for this loan is 44.26%.

I am sorry but the loan cannot be approved. Mortgage insurance is not available when the DTI exceeds 41% and there are no exceptions from the mortgage insurance companies. Also, since the CB will have future loss carry overs per their accountant letter but dollar amounts are not estimated, it is impossible to accurately determine their income."

Comment from the loan officer- (who could not even explain the declination)

"Maureen, this is a direct result of the Lower Appraised Value that increased you initial LTV "Loan to Value" to a higher 85%. As you know the appraised value came in lower than expected at $670, 000 & the file had to be restructured within LTV guidelines. If this was under the 80% LTV Limit then the maximum allowed DTI would have been 45%. Due to the ratios above 41% DTI we are unable to obtain MI Mortgage Insurance coverage for your loan. The only possible solution to obtain an approval would be if you decided to reduce your principle loan balance to be under 80%. I would estimate would be $33, 500 Plus Closing Cost would be roughly around $40, 000 out of pocket, that would reduce your final DTI to be close to the maximum allowed 41%. Of course this figure would need to be confirmed by underwriting.

We are unable to offer the applicant credit for the following reason(s):

Adverse Action Reasons

1. Excessive Obligations in Relation to Income (44.26% above maximum 41% per MI )

2. Unable to Verify income

We submitted our tax returns and our bank statements 3 times because they lost them the previous 2 times- that is even a bigger concern.

I called the bank every week for an update for 6 months. Then we went on vacation which I informed them of weeks in advance and they told me the day before vacation we had to have our CPA explain why my husband sold his business 3 years ago. Also they said I wasn’t employed but I provided my W2's for the past several years.

Our income is way above the ratio they mentioned. We could pay off the mortgage if we wanted to, they didn’t mention that fact in the denial.

How can they get away with this on so many loans? Even our loan officer told us we were one of many they were doing this to and he was very frustrated. This is their own employee agreeing with this unprofessional, discriminatory way of how they are treating their customers.

Issues:1. Lost our tax returns twice which cause me major privacy concerns.

2. Applied 3/36/09 did not hear anything from loan officer unless I initiated the emails or phone calls. The bank manager at time would not get involved, which caused even a longer delay.

3. Since they took so long to get an appraisal on our house (6 months from application date) the housing market declined.

4. The comment about not verifying income is absurd since we provided our W2's three times and our bank statements. We have no other debts and if they bothered reviewing instead of just taking our money and delaying the process they would have noticed how much we have in the bank. Now we cant apply anywhere else for several months because of the appraisal.

The last insult was that we are only getting $350 back of the application fee even though they turned us down. The reason is debt ratio to income- another way of saying they are keeping our money. This has to constitute fraud or misrepresentation! We were guaranteed our money back if they declined us for any reason!
