After paying my joining fee of $2.06 on April 19 2022 I was charged $74.16 on 19 April, which I understood was for a lawyer response. Then I was charged $74.16 again on 18 May even though there were no further questions or responses.
Please refund $74.16 back into my credit account and cancel my 'membership'.

I sought legal advise n Monday, May 18th and was asked for only $1, refundable, and promised connection with a lawyer. My card was billed $46 for a monthly membership, and no legal expert provided any service. I immediately canceled membership through every way available and asked for refund. Only response was to contact "[protected]@justanswer
com" and no responses received. email was sent to me with a temporary password to login, which was not accepted.Very deceptive and now seriously suspect.

Just Answer Appriasal
JA is the equivalent of modern snake oil salesmen! Contacted them regarding an appraisal/identification of two antique chairs. I in no way agreed to a monthly charge of $60 to my credit card nor did I intentionally become a 'member'. Of course they told me I did not read the fine print (so fine it was printed on a gnats a**). Avoid them at all costs, nothing but bad news and unwanted expenses.

Deceptive practices
I found ja from a google search. Typed my question and then the site says for $1 the question will be answered.. Like a trial. Next thing I know, ja charged me both the $1 and $46 for a monthly subscription. I immediately requested a refund and cancellation. The subscription was canceled but they refuse to refund my money saying I used the service when I submitted my question. Also they say, we assume you read the terms. There was never any mention of a subscription, only the $1 to try. This company should be shut down for fraud and theft.

I did get an answer. However, the deceptive bait and switch I received for immediately canceling the same day as to not pay the "membership" was unbelievable. I wish I had seen the complaints before I paid my "$1" that ended up charging my credit card $60. I called to speak to Customer Service which is of course, outsourced out of the country. That same person must work for all the crappy companies. And was told they gave info up front of what I would be charged. In essence, NO REFUND. STAY AWAY FROM "JUST ANSWERS".

I put my application in for an expert and I was declined right away with no explanation, that does not make any sense.

Today Monday May 9th 2023 at 1.01pm I agreeded to pay the $2 totally refundable payment and was passed over to a lawyer to answer my question. They asked for $89 to make a phone call I did not do this but now I see $70 has been taken from my credit card . I did not agree to this or subscribe to anything.

Fraudulent charging practices
Buyer beware. This company will advertise that they are charging a "$2 refundable charge" so that you can try out their service. In fact they charge you a hefty membership fee at the same time without confirmation from the customer. ie the charge goes through on your credit card without you approving it. I only realized because I get bank notifications. I immediately emailed the company and asked for a refund. No response. I then phoned them and was told I would not get a refund, in spite of the fact I never agreed to the charge. I consider myself pretty savvy via internet shopping and have never had a company not confirm a charge before. Obviously not so savvy Their blank refusal to look into my complaint tells me this is how they make their money.

Veterinarian*justanswr on my credit card
I called desperately to find a local vet to help me with my little Jack Russell dog. I was told that someone would be calling within 8 minutes. I gave them my credit card number and waited...no one ever called! I took my little baby to an emergency hospital over an hour away and they were able to help. I was also told that if I had talked to a vet even an online vet, they would have been able to solve her problem fairly easily with a common remedy we all have in our medicine cabinets. Emergency room charges $650.00. I would have been glad to pay the $29.00 for an opinion if they would have only responded to my call.
To add insult to injury, I have tried to cancel their service, but to no avail. I finally asked my credit card company to dispute the charges and cancel and re-issue my credit card. I'm still waiting for a refund through my credit card company.
Beware. these people are sharks that prey on your love for your pet. My advice...don't use them.

Just answer is a scam! Don't do it! I have filed a complaint w the bbb and will go to every site I can find to warn people! They trick you into a monthly subscription and when you realize it, they won't refund your money. Just answer are thieves. I had car trouble on april 3 2022. I was upset and found just answer on my I phone. I authorized a $1 withdrawal from my account and then they dinged me for $34 and today, may 3 they dinged me for another $34. I called and they are clearly offshore. I was told they could not refund my money even though I have no intention of ever using the scammers again! I want my money back!

I started a 7 day trial for $1 on May 1, 2022 I asked one question looked at my banking they had charged me another $46 on May1,2022 I called and they canceled my subscription same day may 1, 2022 but told me they do not issue refunds I did not even get thru my first day of a 7 day trial period which was money back guarantee.

What crooks! This appears to be what has happened to my elderly mother - she thought she was being directed by Kenwood to a website to help with her dishwasher fault, paid £1 for online advice and then was charged an additional extortionate amount without her agreement or knowledge. This is heartbreaking and a considerable knock to her confidence when she is trying to become more and more independent following the loss of my father. Additional charges, and subscriptions, should be made blatantly obvious before charges are taken without consent. This will be fought!

Mechanic*JustAnswer (JustAnswer) did an Authorized ACH withdrawal from my CC on July 21, 2021. I received the information I paid for and then immedicately cancelled the renew feature. When I call their customer support number, the automated answering service confirms that my account has been cancelled.
However, EVERY month since up to April 21, 2022, JustAnswer has continued to withdraw an amount of $34.00. I have tried talking to customer service, but is appears to be a number directed to another country and each time the call gets "hung-up" after looking into my account issues.
When I attempt to access my account online, they want we to sign up again for their service, and I cannot actually get into my account to make any headway into a reasonable solution.
Desired outcome: I want Mechanic*JustAnswer to refund the 9 months of unauthorized ACH account deductions and DELETe me from future unauthorized charges.

Just asked a question ,ended up being charged £50 didn't know about that or I wouldn't have asked .Didn't know they could take out my bank without my say so.Didnt know I was down as a member or it was 50 pound a month ,I've just cancelled. I have a problem accessing Facebook. Just Answer asked for a CC, which they said was declined; I gave them a second CC. A technician came on the line to ask abut the issue but never responded again. After waiting 25 minutes, I asked what the problem was and I was transferred to a Justin B who asked what my problem was. As I was typing the problems, he discontinued the chat. Meanwhile, it appears that both credit cards were in fact approved. So I may be out 2 payments with no service whatsoever.

I signed into the just answer website to subscribe to their 7-day trial. I understood that after the trial period I would be charged $60 cancelable at any time. After I posted a question I found that a neighbor had received advice from his Attorney. I canceled the trial within 2 hours, To my surprise and disquiet, I found $1, the cost of the trial, and an unauthorized sum of $60 had been debited to my account. JUST ANSWER has refused to refund the $60 .

Resolved after some exchange of e-mails . Would recommend just answer makes it clear that the $60 membership fee applies from day one and is non-refundable, cancellation only applies to renewals. IMPORTANTLY make it clear $60 not $1 is being debited before transaction is processed.
This is unreal. I found a site claiming 1$ to talk to a professional and I was charged a separate charge of 46$ without being told. It was too late by that time, and I went online and again requested that they cancel my membership and refund my trial fee, stating that it was because they did not even attempt to answer my question until AFTER I requested a refund and cancellation. Their response - Can you give me more information why you want to cancel? They have now cancelled my membership, but I see nothing about refunding my trial membership fee. This is a ripoff.

When I signed up the website stated, $1.00 for a 7 day trial, at the end of the 7 days I would be provided an option to buy the service for a monthly fee or cancel. I was never provided the option to cancel before my credit card was charged for an entire month of the service. Just answer provides no value! I can search the internet and get the same answer for free. They cannot provide any help WHATSOEVER! My dog had an infection and needed to get an antibiotic, which you cannot get without an exam. Just answer cannot perform an exam and cannot provide you with a prescription to get the meds necessary to help my pet. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. When I called to cancel since they charged my credit card, they made it as difficult as possible and have yet to send a confirmation email. I have asked by credit card to block all charges from Just Answer and will trust my credit card company to act professionally.
