I was led to believe I could get an answer to a legal question for free and was asked to enter my question. However, after entering the question, I was directed to enter a credit card for a $5 refundable fee. I hesitated but decided it was nominal and proceeded. However, I then received notification that I was signed up for a membership, which I did not authorize. Before my question was answered, I cancelled my “membership” via the settings and called customer service and received a recorded message that my membership was already cancelled. Their FAQ states: A refund will be given only for the current month of your membership. If this applies to you, contact Customer Care. The next day (11/8/2024), there is still a $60 charge on my credit card (along with the $5 fee for the question). I contacted customer service and chatted with a supervisor Marisol who told me I was not entitled to a refund but I agreed to the membership. Despite my numerous attempts, she refused to refund my $60 that I did NOT authorize. This is a fraudulent billing operation that should be investigated.
