JustAnswer Didn't know you were buying an expensive membership when you paid $5?

Neither did I. Signed up for a 5 dollar trial to justanswer to ask a question. I didn't get around to actually asking a question. And a few days later a $60 charge they aren't refunding. This is a scam. Adding fine print at the bottom of a page where many people will not see it to con people out of there money and then not refunding it when no service was provided is about as scammy as a legit looking website can be. If you look below they will have their copy/pasted response that is the same under all complaints. They don't give a [censored]. They know it's a scam. They just want your money. And legally, they've probably covered their bases, so most people signing up get screwed.

Desired outcome: I want my money back.

JustAnswer Unauthorized credit card charges.

I called to ask questions about an ailing computer that failed to boot, and was offered a troubleshooting probe into the computer for $46. which I declined. I find that my credit card has been charged several times for this. I would like to have it returned to PayPal ASAP. please. The only thing I received from Just Answer was a sales pitch...

JustAnswer Rare children’s cinderella fairytale book, published 1870 in bavaria.

I've been waiting over an hour for a response, getting very suspicious of your tactics so
I want to let you know I am reporting to a "fraud agency" regarding your lack of response and your quick charge of my $5.00, with no action!
Very upset and disgusted. I furthermore want to cancel any further charges or on going payments to you!
You want more words... I've got plenty... I was told you were connecting me to an appraiser... I do not believe you!
I don't need to tell you that your scheme to defraud people with lies and false promises is wrong!
And yes... I should have known better than to trust anyone in line!
So... This better be long enough for your phony reasoning for not paying attention to my original complaint... Just another scam tactic if yours i'm sure!

JustAnswer I did not want a membership and I repeatedly text to stop but now I see my credit card has been charged 49.00 plus the 5.00 fee........

the 5.00 fee was charged on March 22nd...which I thought was the fee for the question and answer about a car mechanical question, I repeatedly said I did not want a membership and now I see on my credit card bill I was charged 49.00 on April 1st! I want a refund, I did not ever request a membership! the tel # on the charge on my credit card statement is from Just Answer, tel #[protected]. I never did request a membership and I want it cancelled and my 49.00 refunded!
I do no have a scanner, but I can email a copy from my phone if u can reply to my request at [protected]@gmail.com

Desired outcome: I want the membership cancelled and a refund on my credit card for the 49.00.

I never approved this membership, what a scam/rip off. I have filed a dispute with my bank. Your company is deceitful and should be taken down. I will do my best to see this happens.

JustAnswer Just Answer Web Service

Pay $5 for a 7 day trial to ask a question to get legal advice. Sounds good.
Even though the site says they will let you know when your trial is up, I don't recall seeing an email of that effect, and I was automatically put into the $60 a month membership. No company should start you into a membership without your approval. Sell a Trial and sell the membership separately. Probably how the company is making their money. If you don't watch your charge card statement closely, you might go several months paying that $60 a month. Very disappointing that this company has to operate this way.

Desired outcome: Would like to be reimbursed for the $60. Did not use the service. Just had one question.

I used this service once last year and have just found they have been charging me 340 per month since then for services I have never used.
These people are thieves. Avoid !

JustAnswer Unauthorized billing

I was charged $46 for nothing. I asked a question a month ago with no satisfaction and was charged $46. I reluctantly paid the bill and tried to cancel. Now I'm charged $46 again this month and I never even went on their website! I'm being scammed to the hilt!
I have no choice but to complain to VISA. No way to treat a disabled veteran.

JustAnswer Fraudulently charged my bank account

Hi,
I cancelled my membership with just answer in October. I just the service only once after that and paid one time fees. I just found out that the coming is charging me monthly and there is no way to cancel. I checked their website and my membership is cancelled and still they are charging me account.
I need my money refunded.

JustAnswer Unwanted charges on my card

I simply jus don't know how it charged me for two months for a subscription I specifically declined and it still charged me. I don't even remember agreeing to anything about a payment plan. I saw it on my bank statements a month ago but it jus said bank fee. So when I checked my account today it said it was this website. And I never admitted to paying the subscription

JustAnswer JustAnswer monthly billing process

They were not clear when I signed up for the one week trial that I was committing to a subsequent monthly charge. Because it takes a while for a charge to show up on a credit card I was billed for two months in a row before I was able to cancel. I never used the service but they wouldn't undo the charges. I don't feel that they dealt honestly with me. I have nothing good to say about this service.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund of at least the second month: $46

JustAnswer Service on March 22 re email/cell phone

On March 22nd I contacted JustAnswer with an issue that I could not receive emails on my cellphone but saw new emails when signed on the computer. The Tech "Vishnu" was unable to help me. I stopped replying to text messages and told him I was frustrated and would contact Apple directly. I was under the impression there would only be a $5 charge but when I got my Visa bill there was a $5 charge for March 22nd & a $66 charge on March 31st. Not sure what the $66 is for! I would like a refund of the $66. I ended up contacting Apple the same day and they solved my problem in a few minutes at no charge.

JustAnswer Charge I did not authorize.

I was unaware at the time a made an inquiry that I would receive ongoing charges for "membership" which I don't recall authorizing. No doubt there is something in their fine print that I missed. What I thought would be a $1 question has ended up costing me $ 50.00. I wish to alert others to this scam so they don't get fooled by what looks to be a legitimate site.

JustAnswer Not even sure what they do, just took money from our credit account

For about a year they have been taking about $760 dollars, $60 a month from our account. No statement or invoice for any notice at all. We did not know they were doing this. We have never used the service or product they have. We do not even know what they do. When we call customer service, Raven said they sent an email at one time, and the problem is we do not read our emails. She was of not help and I think very rude . All she would do is cancel our membership, that we never wanted in the first place. I asked for a refund she said no, I asked to talk with a supervisor and she said they would tell me the same. It was too bad as we did not see an email that created them the right to take $60 from me each month.

Desired outcome: Please refund our money.

JustAnswer I have been scammed

JustAnswer I used this one time and did not give them permission to take $720.00 out of my account in over a year.

This is a total scam company BEWARE OF THIS WEBSITE.. I'm going to do whatever I need to make sure this is shutdown...

JustAnswer Cancel monthly subscription

Just Answer has been deducting $29.00 a month for about a year. I have called in many months ago to cancel. I was advised that they have no record of my account.
My name is Karen Wheeler, they are using my debit card that ends in 1193, which is associated with Peoples Bank from CT.
Please cancel this and send a refund for at least 6 months back to my account. Below is what was posted in my account. The last payment.

JustAnswer Unauthorised Direct Debits

Hi,

I am emailing on behalf of my mother and father. They called up for a one off £5 tech review help for the kindle and you have set up an unauthorised direct debit and have so far taken 3 x £35 from my account without authorisation.

If this matter is not resolved and the money refunded ASAP I will be pursuing further action. I can see I am not the first customer to be in this position with you.

Please let me know which account details you require in order to have this matter resolved and I will liaise with my parents to have the details sent over.

JustAnswer Cancellation of my membership

i have requested JUST ANSWER to cancel my membership (APPRAISAL 877-6) on 5 March'21, which was confirmed by JEFF CAVELLINI ([protected]@just.justanswer.com). Another deduction went off on 1 April to the amount of R365.00.
Covid-19 has effected both my and my husbands jobs. We do not have an income and need this to be cancelled ASAP.
PLEASE HELP!

It seems that you can not get your membership cancelled with Just Answer. They confirm it has been cancelled, but then the next month the deduction went off again...that is fraudulent!
