unauthorised deduction from credit card for non-requested membership.
On 19 June 2019 I tried to find the HP Helpdesk but inadvertently contacted Justanswer. For $2 they answered my question about my Printer - their advice was unhelpful and I realised I was not talking to the correct desk. I declined further assistance from Just Answer and indicated I had found their help of low quality. After a few emails from them which I did not respond to there was no further contact.
Now I find that on 29 June 2019 my credit card was deducted $70 for "Membership" of Justanswer. I immediately (26 July) asked that my "Membership" be cancelled (which an email I am told has happened) and that the $70 be refunded. No refund has been received as of this moment 2pm NZ time 29 July; nor has there been any mention of the money.
just answer
I asked a question for 5 $ that they couldn't find an answer for & then put some other "lawyer" for 59$ I said heck no it's bad enough we consumers are trying to seek help by getting answers to lead us in the right direction & then we have this bull"..."happen this is just one of those scams taken our money. Its suppose to be a 30 day free trial they already took 46$ out of my account & it's been 2 weeks I want all my money back!
unauthorised credit card charges
I thought I paid $5 for the answer to a one off question and did not agree to any membership. I just received my credit card bill and found I had been charged $49 for a monthly membership. I have just cancelled it through the internet but think I should get a refund of the $49 as this was never requested and I have not asked for any other answers since my original question.
credit card debit
Hi we had atrial for a question we had about a tv problem but they were no help and I did not mind the $5.15 that we paid lesson learnt I thought till checking I saw that they have taken out $67.98 for a full membership which we had not signed up for and I would like a refund thank you. Have tried to get in touch with justanswer but they want anoughter 5. Oo to answer a question how do I go about getting a refund
justanswer online vet scam
our cat was having some stomach problems so we go on justanswers to talk to a vet. we put in our credit card information and waited about five minutes when we got a response. when we tried to see what the vet had responded, it said we had to put in our credit card information again because the transaction didn't go through. but we looked at the bank statement and they DID take out $22 and now want an extra $22. this is a total scam! do not go to this website!
got charged a $1.00 for services that I did not get or ask for.
I was checking my bank accounts and I noticed an $1.00 charge on my account. I called and they said that it was services rendered several months ago. They did not help me at all. I asked for it back but never got it. I contacted their headquarters and they got me my refund. Now they are charging me again for way back in. I would like my money refunded and all of my information deleted from their files.

justanswer
I had a bad arm and was looking for some medical advice.
Justanswer said there was a trial for £5.
They asked me some questions, I answered the questions, they ask me some more questions I answered the questions and never got a full definitive answer!
And thought that was the end of that five pounds wasted.
And so I was surprised that today my account was debited with £35.
It's a shame that the experts aren't as motivated as the billing department!

unauthorized credit card charge - "membership"???
I used the JustAnswer.com service regarding an Australian-based legal situation inquiry on 11th July, 2019.
I paid the AUD 5.00 (Basic charge/fee) & then an additional fee of AUD 84.36 to be connected to a Melbourne-based [State of Victoria, Australia] Lawyer, John Melis.
My legal-situation/inquiry was discussed with him & advice was provided which ringed true.
That, I thought would be the end of the matter BUT, evidently not.
JustAnswer.com had other revenue-raising plans for me, to my detriment!
On 18th July, 2019, showing as a withdrawal 'Account Activity' item was a "Membership" charge (on Reference# JustAnswer [protected]) for AUD 66.00.
Lets be VERY clear on this!
Whilst my inquiry WAS answered to my satisfaction by Jon Melis, Melbourne-based [State of Victoria, Australia] Lawyer:
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES did I authorise/agree to ANY "Membership" contract/arrangement/agreement with Justanswer.com.
JustAnswer.com - PLEASE NOTE!
My Australian bank - Westpac - has been authorised to pursue a refund of this UNAUTHORISED deduction of AUD 66.00 from you - JustAnswer.com.
Furthermore other protective steps have been taken to ensure that this 'SERVICE RORT' will not affect me ever again; i.e. in the future.
A 100% REFUND of AUD 66.00 from you is anticipated! VERY QUICKLY!

unauthorized credit card charges
We signed up for the free trial and when prompted selected no to the membership option. We were charged anyway and expect a full refund. This is the 2nd time our family has been signed up without permission for a membership. We didn't request a refund the first time but are 100% certain we did not choose this option and expect a refund this time.
Date of CC Charge 7/15
$46 membership charge
Angie M also canceled our chat when she could see I was typing a response. This is all very shady and know way to do business.

trial basis membership
AN ABSOLUTE RIPOFF! Stay away.
There is a trial period in which one can ask a question. Good enough, but a credit card is needed. Fine.
There is nothing in the fine print that says that you must immediately cancel, or your credit card will be charged for monthly fees. After I discovered it, the usual response, no refunds, requests must be within a timely manner…
And even better, on their website, to cancel, it says under "account", "membership", click cancel, to cancel the membership….THERE IS NO SUCH TAB!
Stay away.
Gentlemen, was it really worth it to rip me off?

scam and inflexible customer service
So far the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I have never posted a bad review in my life. But JustAnswer is that one scamming company that's taken me there. I'm completely disgusted with this company and would advise anyone who reads this to not use.
I had paid $5 to have one question answered, this was an offer on their website. I got answer and was billed $5 immediately. A whole month later, I see new charge on my account, they took $46 out of my account without notifications! I immediately called as I was horrified. I was told that this was a membership fee that was coming with the $5 question I had asked a month prior. What?!? At no point they clearly stated I would also be enrolling in such scam. They're offering you the opportunity to pay for a one time question at $5 but on top of that you're paying a secret membership? it makes no sense! Anyone with a brain who then pay for the membership alone and ask as many questions as they'd like. I spent 20 minutes over the phone with the supervisor who was very determined to hold on my $46 as if her life depended on it. They made me want to vomit. They stole my money and never sent me a heads up either.
Gross company, do not recommend. You will be met with nasty surprises like this one.

attempt to take money from me
These people are trying to steal from my account. They wanted $1 refundable. They took $0.60 and now intend to take $46 for NO SERVICE RENDERED. When the amount has cleared I will dispute this as FRAUD.
When I contacted them, some idiot referred me to a page that wanted my credit card details YET AGAIN!

just answer $46.00/month membership charged to my credit card despite the fact that I cancelled the account shortly after I used it.
I was out of town and had to make a credit card payment without my normal process. Computer said I had to engage "Just Answer" in order to complete the payment so I joined for "Just $1.00. " with the assurance that it could be cancelled at any time.my payment was complete. I then called Just Answer customer services, requested cancelling the subscription which he said he would do. My Chase card in May showed another $46.00 charge for Just Answer. Chase was able to remove that charge. Now the same charge to "Just Answer" has appeared again in June and now July.
I will continue to dispute those charges until you drop them. Please do so immediately. Please call me 314-303-9810 so this matter can be resolved immediately and amicably.

account charge
About a week or so ago, I inquired about a painting I have. I expected some sort of reply from someone. I never got any answer. Yesterday I got my American Express card bill and there was a charge of $28 by "Just Answer" . I did not subscribe to your service and did not get any response from anyone on my question. Please credit my AX account with the $28 because I did not agree to this charge and I will never use your service, period.
Thank you.
my email: [protected]@gmail.com
I agreed with Just Answer to the basic $5 charge - there was little further discourse via the web - we were not on the same wave length and all contact ceased. approx. 5 days later my card has been debited with a $40 charge without my authority and or agreement . Please refund as appropriate. I am trying to submit my complaint however your request to sign up appears - I have already done that hence the $5 payment.
Please refund the $40 asap
unauthorized credit card charges for tv tech support
On June 29 I contacted Just Answer with a question regarding the use of my Durabrand 55" smart TV. All I needed was to find out how to do screen mirroring on this TV. I was forwarded to Bonifacio Gomez, who was helpful, but unable to help me because he couldn't find any information on my TV, despite the fact that I sent him my model and serial numbers (Durabrand LE55U6500DA). He sent me a couple of suggestions, which didn't work, and then continued to send me emails to continue the process, but by then I had invested almost an hour in a fruitless contact, as it was clear he didn't have a clue regarding my TV. After a while, I stopped responding to his emails, although I did return to rate how helpful I found him. I gave a rating of two stars because I was not helped at all but wasted time in the process. I did give my credit card info but the instructions stated very clearly that I would not be charged if I was not satisfied with the assistance. Much to my surprise, I see a charge of $17 on my credit card. I request that this charge be reversed. I would have been willing to pay the minimum charge of $5 as informed, just because he took the time to try to help me, but I consider that $17 is not justified as I received no satisfaction. I would like to clarify that Bonifacio was courteous and tried to help me but did not have the information to be able to do so. Thank you for your consideration of my request.
technical advice
I called be get help with my kindle. The "technical" help I received was totally useless. I want my dollar returned and cancel whatever "service" I was signed up for. I would be willing to give you the $1.00, but I sure do not want to be charged on a continuing basis for "technical" advice that is useless. The person I talked to could not understand what my question was until we had gone over it several times even though the question was quite simple. Namely, "how do I transfer my kindle to my wife?". You really need to get people who have a better understanding of the English language.
I called to get help with my kindle. The expert advice I received was totally useless. I was charged $1.00 and it was indictated that I could cancel at any time. I do not want this "service" and I want my money returned.
unauthorized charges to my checking account
I noticed a number of charges to my checking account in 2018. I thought they had finally ended but saw two more charges, last month and the current month. I did not authorize any of these, and have only once tried to use 'Just Answer" over a year ago. I want the current charges reversed and no more charges made by Just Answer to any of my checking accounts.

unauthorized credit, card charges and unethical behaviour.
I foolishly logged into Just Answer, hoping they would help me with a Samsung problem. I was told that it would cost a refundable $US5.OO, which was not refunded. I did not need any further help once they told me what I could do to correct the problem I had with my fridge/freezer. I was asked if I wished to speak to a technician, but I didn't want to. I was then charged another $70 on top of that. I now find that I am being charged another $70, even though I am not using the services.
This is just a rip off, and I would like my money refunded!
This just happened to me. I paid the $5 but then emailed them to say that I didn't need their service. I just discovered that they have deducted $66 from my bank account yesterday and now I see they did it last month as well. I have to cancel my card to stop the payments. A criminal investigation is needed here.

Total Amount I payed:
5 dollars Deposit(I AM AWARE OF AND ITS FINE)

48 Dollars for the phone call (I was not explained that the charges will be on me, I AM NOT FINE WITH IT )
77 Dollars for the membership which I did not asked for( I AM NOT FINE WITH IT )
