Kellogg's Mixed Feelings About Kellogg's Products

As someone who values quality and ethical practices, my experience with Kellogg's products has been quite mixed. While I appreciate the variety of flavors and options they offer, I am concerned about recent controversies surrounding their marketing strategies. It's disheartening to see a company prioritize profit over values that resonate with many customers. Despite the tasty products, the underlying issues make it challenging for me to fully support Kellogg's at this time.

Kellogg's Where's the beef - I mean strawberry?

I was excited to see the new Strawberry Milkshake Frosted Flakes on the shelf at the local WalMart. After all, I have been flavoring my Frosted Flakes with fresh fruit (including strawberries) for years. I tried to be realistic by not expecting the new cereal to come close to the added flavor of fresh strawberries but became somewhat unrealistic when I poured milk into that first bowl and saw all that strawbeery red on the flakes. Things went south in a hurry after that. I took that first bite and thought "Where's the strawberry flavor". There was NO detectable strawberry flavor at all. After trying a couple more bowls since that first one, I think I know what happened. Obviousely the people in your R&D department that worked on this project have never had a real strawberry milkshake. It's hard to hit a target if you don't know where it is. I feel as though I've been had. Seeing but not tasting red in Mississippi.

Recommendation: Don't do it!

Kellogg's What happened to my crackers?

I have been buying Zesta saltines for most of my senior citizen life and they were always really good. However, in the past year or so they have changed. They no longer hold up in soup and become gooey and really disgusting. They also no longer have any discernable taste. What happened here? Did Keebler leave out an ingredient when they sold Kellogg's the recipe? I will not be buying any more of these crackers.

Recommendation: Don't waste your money.

Kellogg's Kellogg's rice krispy treats (60 pack)

To whom this may concern;

I am writing to you to let you know that my wife and I have been purchasing your Kellogg's Rice Krispy Treats for many years at Costco store in Davenport, Iowa, having NO issues. The quality and packaging has been outstanding not to mention our 10 Grandchildren love getting a "treat" when they come to visit or we go visit them. Your product makes it much easier the way they are packaged, making sure that each Grandchild gets their own, not having to worry about whos' treat is larger/smaller than the other. Not to mention that it gives my wife a break in the kitchen!

On October 04, 2023 my wife purchased one of your 60 count boxed treats to hand out individual packages for our neighborhood trick or treat party to assure that every child participating would get one. My wife started to make up the kids individual treat bags, noticing that there was only 48 individual Rice Krispy Treats in the box instead of the 60 that should have been in the box count. I am attaching a picture of the box end UPC/Proof of Purchase for you.

Being a former FSQA Manager for a major food company, I certainly understand that things can happen in the production operations, however we thought we should bring this to your attention for further evaluation for this product. I did inspect the box and did not find anything that would lead me to believe that it had been tampered with. Hopefully it was just a one-off and did not affect other consumers.

Again, thanks for providing us with a quality product, we hope our next boxes purchased will not have the same pack issue.

Regards,

Eric R Travis

Kellogg's Zesta crackers

Something has changed! They taste very dry, stale and barely any salt! Plus they have reduced the volume and raised the prices! I’ve thrown away the last 3-4 boxes we have bought because of this! Even after checking the “best by” dates, they have definitely changed something.

We won’t be buying them any longer after being loyal customers for years!

American quality has disappeared everywhere!

Kellogg's Special k chocolate cereal

We buy your cereal all the time. This morning my daughter went to pour her bowl of her favorite Chocolate Special K and a huge giant clump of stuck together cereal (see image). Just not the quality we are used to from your cereals. Wanted to let you know. I am a busy mom of two and work full time so I don't have enough time in the day to run back to the store and return the box of cereal. I am just going to toss it.

Thank you!

I recently purchased the above listed Kelloggs product, and was very much enjoying the very first bowl! It's good! I like it! However, getting close to the bottom of the bowl, and cereal getting nice and soft, I suddenly bite into something hard as a "rock", that actually layed my tooth over to the roof of my mouth, and I was able to remove the tooth from...

Kellogg's Town House pits crackers sea salt

Greetings,

Imagine my horror when I was munching on Kellogg's TownHouse pita crackers December 15, 2023 only to find two of the crackers "glued" together with what appeared to be a piece of used dental floss.

To say the feeling was traumatic is putting it lightly. Needless to say, I discarded the remainder of the box and began wondering what the effect might be on my health. I am also now wondering how I can ever feel comfortable eating a Kellogg's product again.

I recorded the batch information off the box. A photo is attached, along with a photo of the crackers.

Any information you can provide about what kind of material this might be (and what I may have ingested) would be appreciated; also, what in your factory safety protocols and procedures may have failed here to allow this to happen.

Maybe you could also suggest what regulatory agency I might need to report this to?

I still have the cracker in a plastic bag.

Best regards

Kellogg's Your service.

My new complaint. I complained about the Kellogg’s town house flipsides crackers and then in order to discuss this problem further I am supposed to give you my credit card info. Not going to happen. I guess l will take take this to the better business bureau. My original complaint was broken crackers, 3/4 of the box, but now it’s a much bigger problem. Why do you need my credit info because of your lousy broken crackers?

Good evening. I'm writing you all to make a complaint on my last three times purchasing Kellogg townhouse crackers. All the boxes literally broken up. I couldn't even use any for my luncheon, I ended up going to by another brand due to I didn't want to get let down again. This is very upsetting, being that at one time these were the only crackers my family ate.

Kellogg's Rice krispies

I purchased a box of rice Krispies at the Meijer grocery store. When my husband opened it the box had more brown colored rice krispies than it did white. My husband is frugal and picked through the brown cereal so not to waist a $7 box of cereal. I purchased a new one and we haven't opened it yet. So I guess we will see if it was just that batch or if it is all of them. They have also been tasting stale.

Claimed loss: I through the box away so I do not have any numbers for you. However, a refund would be nice with groceries being so high.

Desired outcome: Refund

Kellogg's Forest berries

Hi, Forest Berries is the only cereal I purchase when shopping. The last 3 times or so at my local Cannon Hill QLD store, I have been very disappointed to find only a few dried strawberries in the package it’s supposed to have other dried fruit such as blueberries which I look forward to tasting when having breakfast. Nine the less I add my own fruit but it’s not the same. Please double check your supplies before marketing. I only bring this to your attention because it is my favourite cereal. Thank you.

Claimed loss: No losses just disappointing

Desired outcome: More dried fruit in the cereal

Kellogg's Nutty Buddy Cereal

We were so excited to find the Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Cereal. However not so excited when we got home and realized the box was HALF FULL.

UPC Code: [protected] 8

Code KBC0261 05 17

Best by Feb 2024

I will buy cereal but not at the price we paid for 1/2 a box.

We have had Little Debbie products in our house for over 20 years: Nutty Buddy bars, Swiss Cake rolls, Oatmeal cremes, Donuts, etc. This is the first time we have ever been disappointed. I will buy another box of cereal, when I can get a full box. I will also let Little Debbie know how their cereal is being packaged.

Margaret Haynes

Desired outcome: Coupon (s) for a box of Little Debbie Nutty Buddy cereal.

FYI, just recently purchased your Zesta crackers at the Dollar Tree store in Dublin, OH and when I opened the box, the crackers had an offensive odor to them, similar to the smell of diesel fuel. The UPC code is: 0-[protected]-1. Additional code: K212622000 NLI #17668. For reasons of safety, I discarded the box of crackers. You may want to check your quality...

Kellogg's Special k fruit and yogurt

Hi,

on november 21, 2023 i purchased a box of family size special k fruit and yogurt. I use to get this regularly and was excited to go back to an old favorite. I have to say, i was very disappointed when going through the entire box and finding almost no fruit or yogurt clusters. Having been a regular consumer of this product, i can confidently say this box's contents were overbearingly insufficient. i am hoping you can remedy this by proper means. thank you, i look forward to your timely response and giving this product another chance.

Claimed loss: $6.99

Kellogg's Special K Cereal

In the last several months upon purchasing Special K cereal, we are wondering if you have changed how they are being processed. The pieces we get now are no longer like flakes - I’ve seen Rice Krispies bigger than what Special K comes like now. More like large crumbs. It’s the only cereal I like but if they’re going to be made like this, I give up eating them.

Desired outcome: Make them the original size!!!

Kellogg's Zesta original saltine crackers

I purchased four boxes of Zesta crackers on 10-18-2023. This is my third box of crackers that has had one sleeve of stale crackers. Each one of these sleeves was overly heat sealed and had caused a hole in the end. I love Zesta and no other. It's disappointing to lose a pack per box. Well, I don't waste them. I do give them to the chickens.

Here is information from the box: FEB 16,2024 CMCO8 16:04

I did not keep the other boxes.

Kellogg's Kelloggs Corn Pops Giant Size

I was eating a bowl of Corn Pops and found a object in my bowl of cereal. I have a Giant size box of Corn Pops, UPC # [protected], with an expiration date of Apr 21 2024.
