My name is Daniel Garcia and was employed at Kmart for the past year and half till today this morning. when I had shown up for work I was escorted upstairs calmly as was seated in a room with a security witness and a mike (unknown last name would not disclose). for they had the nerve to say that since my employment that little by little I have been pocketing merchandise into my pocket when they had little to no proof that I was stealing. they had me in that room questioning my honest truth but what they wanted was for me to lie to myself and say that i stole something that i did not, and they were threatening me with going to jail if i don't cooperate the problem is that i continuously told them the truth and they did not bother to listen to me. they only wanted to hear that i stole something that they didn't even know what had been stolen. i feel that today i was extorted for my job and my money because they needed a scapegoat especially due to inventory being finished. I Daniel Garcia did not steal anything from Kmart and i want this to be investigated further. I shouldn't have lost my job today on a false accusation.

First of all I do not like entering Kmart, the last time I went there and I spanked my son for crying they gave me funny looks.
They had a misprint on their flyer that said that diapers cost $5.99 for a big box of Huggie's diaper. They said that it was a misprint and after arguing for 15 minutes they gave in to me and only allowed me to get a minimum of six. I told them that this is unacceptable and swore at the manager in front of my two year old son. it is a shame that I had to swear in front of my two year old. I also told them that since I feel uncomfortable shopping at Kmart I went to Walmart hoping that they would price match which they did not due to their error. I told them that they should give me gas money for my trip from Walmart to Kmart and they refused to give me a further discount at which point the manager asked me to leave. When I refused to leave without my gas money they told me to leave or they could call security.
I am a single parent that is struggling I am only 19, I had my son when I was 16. My parents kicked me out of the house after I hanged with the wrong crowd, and got kicked out of school for playing truency. I need to make all the savings I can get and when I found out that the diapers were on sale for $5.99 I thought I could stock up. I am currently unemployed and receive money from the government (WIC, EBT). I need to save every penny I can and I just wasted gas money because of your misprint and it is no wonder I vowed never to return to Kmart again.

So, they offered to sell you a maximum of 6 of the diapers, which was beyond fair since if anything most places will give a maximum of 1. But that wasn't enough so you went to Walmart try to further capitilize on this and they said no, which is perfectly reasonable. So you chose to drive back to KMart and demand gas money? Because Walmart wouldn't let you con them like you were trying to do at KMart?

the worst place to work for
I work for a kmart in nc, and its the worst place to work at! The managers are 2 faced, they threaten to cut their employees (cashiers) hours based on how many rewards cards the person has but does not make it fair to everyone (sales floor associates hour don't get cut) and the managers show lots of favoritism.
I honestly hate this place. Its absolutely the worst. The prices are jacked up higher than what an item is worth and it's dirty. They never check the expiration of perishable items therefore customers are continuously buying expired food and I refuse to shop here even being an employee. I told my friends not to shop there or I would not be their friends anymore. I told my parents not to shop there or I would become emincipated and change my last name.
For those who don't like my review and disagree me you can go f**k yourselves for all I care.
The managers cut my hours because they were not getting enough sales.

I was in the Kmart Store in Athens, TN the other day and their was a man named BJ Hilliard that I latter found out was the regional VP. He was an arrogant a -hole to the ultimate degree. He started firing several employees that I have known for years . They have always provided excellent customer service and were excellent people. He needs to be fired and these employes need their jobs back. I never thought I would ever witness such a behavior in my life. Please take care of this issue at once.
Kmart = crap.. I worked at the Crystal River Location and this story of a computer doing our hours and they have no power about it excuse is getting old... I bust my ### working there and all I ever get is like only 8 hours a week... 8 HOURS ARE YOU ###ING KIDDING ME? I am requested by more than one customer and now I realize that this company is a joke! Kmart If you want to improve DO DRUG TESTS, DO BACKGROUND CHECKS AND FIRE PEOPLE WHO ARE COMPLETE AND TOTAL ### HOLES WHO DO NOT DESERVE THIS POSITION!
I also worked for kmart. If a customer has a complaint and they are standing hold up in your line. You call for a manager they take their time getting there, the worst part of it was one manager will say no to the customer, I send them to customer service, the next manage would say yes. My hours were also cut at their own choosing and the would also change my hours, print it out, and call me to see why I haven't showed up for work. That sucked. They try to make you look like a fool in front of the customer every chance. New branch manager comes into the store and tells us all that it is mandatory to follow him on his group page and ordered that no complaits acceptable, you had to sign in evevy week only positive remarks welcome.Only relatives or stupid people should apply. you will fit right in...notgoodforu
I also agree. I'm also currently a Kmart employee and there is a ridiculous amount of favoritism given out by all of the managers in our store. They can also be incredibly rude. I'm thinking of switching over to Kay Jewelers.
i totally agree with you i am a kmart employee also and the store i work at the managers don't care anything about their employees. can't even get a thank you for a job well done. the customers are always rude and don't give us respect. then they want us to greet customers with the 10ft rule policy. i got cussed out by a customer for implying the 10ft rule. customers say i'm never shopping at k-mart again! we the employees don't give a sh**. If any customers out there don't like this comment can kiss my a**!
lazy mexican employees
I went to this store to purchase some basic needs, on 4/26/12 at approximately 2pm. Upon entry I notice several mexican employees doing nothing but talking to each other, while there are 2 long lines at the registers. I asked for assistance in finding a flashlight and was told by a barely English speaking mexican that it was "Over There" as she pointed in a general direction of the back of the store. She did not provide an isle number or any more specific locations, she was more concerned with socializing in spanish with other employees. After searching the back for several minutes I had to ask another employee who was nice enough to bring to the isle where they were. No where near the "Over There" direction that I was previously given. When I attempted to purchase my items the 2 long lines at the register were even longer, 1 mexican cashier was joking around with another mexican the other was just standing there aparently waiting for some management type. More mexican workers standing around socializing with each other and ignoring the customers who were trying to purchase and get out of the store in a timely manner. After 10 minutes waiting for ANYONE in the store to do something to get the lines moving, I left the items I was going to purchase and walked out. Target Holyoke has better employees anyways.

I explained I have an arrest on my record but it was dropped and did not interfere with me being an officer. immediately their demeanor changed and I was denied employment.just in case your asking, I did not want to go back to law enforcement full time because I'm tired of the politics and favoritism. Apparently kmart is worse. where they went wrong was having an HR person that knows nothing about the job or basic law for that matter, do my second interview. the Glpm was very professional and stated several times he would like to work with me. This is a joke ..after doing my research i found they replace lp people faster than any other employee. I also found in several instances they denied employment to prior officers because it was later found that the people that denied employment were arrest for theft from their stores or fired for stealing. I think they don't want qualified people working there because of the theft by upper management.

I am the previous lpa for the store.. trust me bro you do not want to work there. K marts policy has changed they are not allowed to chace nor are u even allowed to use reasonable force to detain a shoplifter anymore it is agenst there policy. So with that in mind working in the hood in ft pierce it out right dangerous. They won't even let u pat down a shoplifter for your safety. One day a loss prevention officer will lose his life because of these ridiculous policies has. And the dlpm is a JOKE, Ray, the guy micromanages way to much. He demands stats but watches to make sure u are following policy to a t. Also he loves to b little his loss prevention managers in front of each other on weekly conference calls. Ray DLPM for kmart has no business being in charge of a disrtict and is runninh the loss prevention team to the ground.
you know it sad when Kmart cut hours for people that come in when need them have family to raise and still hire new people that last 2 weeks and quit i think all employee's should get the hours not 4 hours a weeks to pay bills i would love for some one from corp to live on 14 16 hours a week to pay there bills and raise a child singles parents to support there kids when you work so hard for company that could care less about them but they have assoc that care so much about the customers Kmart corp need to wake up and see what there doing to people any body can work at Kmart but assoc that have the heart to go that extra mile and do for Kmart take a look at corp realize what is going on with hours !
under garments
I am a Huge Fan of Joe Boxer under garments. Its All I wear, Last month I went to Kmart and purchased a couple of bra's and under wear. The underwear are still great as expected however after the first wash the wire of the bra's started sticking out. I let them air dry, so that couldn't have messed them up. I am so disappointed. I am really faced with do I want to continue to buy Joe Boxer products now.

Who said you could not return them?
I received a pair of Joe Boxer thermal undergarments, woman's top and bottom, as a gift from my older sister. After wearing them only a few times, the elastic waistband came loose. About 4" came unsewn so far, but when I looked at the rest of the waistband, I see other places that are also coming loose. This garment was sewn very badly. Because I've worn them already, I cannot return them to Kmart, and I can't find an address, or a phone number, to let the company know how dissatisfied and disappointed I am with their product. If this can be forwarded to them so they know, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm still looking for some way to contact them for a replacement, or a refund. I will not buy any Joe Boxer clothing because the quality is poor. Mine were made in Guatemala, 70% cotton, 30% polyester. The numbers on the label are [protected]; 5913 and RN42000. I will have to sew the waistband by hand all the way around to be able to wash and wear them again. Shame on Joe Boxer for letting these pass inspection!
robbing customers
I bought my great granddaughter a pair of boots for Christmas $24.99. I just found out that they did not fit (I get to see her very little since her mother my granddaughter passed away when baby was 3). So it is not like I see her every week or even every month. But anyway on with my complaint. I took the boots make to the store today the very store I bought them from and said" I know this has been a while and I do not have a receipt. And I know that they have probably been on sale since Christmas." And I will have to take sale price as the refund. (I really just wanted a in store credit as I shop K-Mart often (2 or 3 times a month at least). Boots still had all tags hooks to hold them together so you could tell they had never been worn.I get a $4.00 (+ tax) in store credit! That is a TOTAL RIP OFF! You can NOT TELL ME THIS BOOTS were $4.00 EVER! I know there is nothing that I can do since I had no receipt as far as these boots go. But there is one thing I can DO. NEVER EVER SHOP K-MART or SEARS EVER again! Karma will bite you in the butt ever time! Steal from your customers and you will loose business and have to start closing stores! HELLO..Sound familiar?

Why didn't your granddaughter's parent or guardian take them to their local KMart for a return/exchange? It is almost Spring, so it is perfectly reasonable to assume the boots would be clearanced at $4, also it has been 3 months since you purchased them, they didn't have to offer anything back at all. You could have donated them.
habitual mistakes on clearance prices
i had spent over 15 minutes in the clearance table of the shoe section & found a pair of mid boots wide size (of which they carry little), full priced 24.99, box marked clearance 14.99, Sign on clearance table 50% off with breakdown of prices..i.e. 24.99 - 12.49 etc. I go up to the cashier and it is not on sale, wait to get someone to help @ cashier only after hearing alot of dribble, that it was not on sale... this is the 3rd time ive been to this store and they have done this . not even a sorry for your timewasted rooting thru all the shoes on the table and floor of the clearence area( clearly marked with tons of sale signs).. who does that? and how poorly managed this store is. WALMART here i come

horrible bosses
As an employee, a new one infact ive witnessed and experienced alot of mistreatment at our Guam store. Persons listed above has been abusing there power and should be terminated or suspended or even demoted. Example: Requested a day off due to having an oppointment for my daughter, and HR told me I have to just call it in and get a write up. Even though im informing them a week in advance. Totally wrong. Also an employee who came in with a little highlights on his hair was told to dye his hair brown or get fired. Is that how Kmart works? When ever they have bad days its bad days for everybody and favoritism is so noticeable.

i just checked out at K Mart yesterday and have 2 issues- #1 is that when I went to www.kmartfeedback.com there was no where to do survey, possibly due to the $4, 000 card entry date has passed. #2 I again asked how to get a replacement rewards card/ linking my old card # to a new one as I have been putting credits on my rewards card by using my phone # @ checkout, BUT have no way of collecting them. First they told me to text "pin" to 595959---I DON"T need the pin I need a card- Then I was told to go onto KMart rewards and I could print out a copy of my original card to use...They have even Emailed me of a coy of one of my receipts ..I have the number of my card, but to no avail did I find a place to get a copy of my original card nor any helpful info to my issue...Survey says-------WindGap Kmart doesn't know their --- from a hole in the ground,

On Sunday 5/24/09 I paid for a 40 pound bag of potting soil which was available outside of the store. I was told that someone would meet me outside to load it in my car. After waiting almost 10 minutes nobody showed up. I loaded it in my car myself. I am in the 70's & this was not easy for me. There is no customer service at the K Mart in Rapid City SD.

Hello, I was in kmart 4151 this mid-afternoon and patsy first of all is never at her station and customers are getting tired of having to track someone down just to get help, either keep her up there or put her somewhere, where customers dont have to chase her down. "this is an everyday occurance" then jessica is another that girl is so disrespectful toward you cashier heather, our family comes in there all the time and heather has always be very kind and helpful to our family, so thank you for having her there, but the other 2 girls are very rude and lets be honest very ignorant. They both talk to heather like she is stupid and we think they are very rude and should not be working there is this the kind of peolple that you employee. If so that very sad. Im a ceo of a company and if one of my employees ever did that knid of thing and my customers heard they would be out so fast there heads would spin. It's not professional.

failure to receive bonus points
Kmart stores offers bonus points with every purchase made with your card. Begining in October of 2011 I have made layaway purchases totaling a $1, 000.00 plus and have never received bonus points for these purchases. I have contacted the store, written letters to the corporate office, and applied for lost points online all with dead end results. I never received a phone call or a letter from the corporate office acknowledging my complaint. On February 17th I paid out another lay-a-way with the same results. I am begining to thinks that this is a ploy to get customers to shop at kmart. I will never shop at kmart stores again, I have in return told all of my friends and family about this issue. This is very bad customer service for such a large corporation.
rudeness and unnecessary waiting
We went to Kmarts today at 1 p.m. by 2:30 p.m we were at the register (two people) q head of us, well custormer 1 had trouble with her order it took the front desk manager 5 or 10 minutes to come over and she was rude then she had aniother problem the same clerk took her time coming over, we ended up standing in this line for over 1 hour, i am handicapped and so is my husband, i am now going through treatment for tumors in my kidney which means i'm not suppose to be on my feet for more then 20 minutes at a time, the cashier was great she kept saying sorry, but because of this superviser i am suffering from pain that should not have happened .Plus we were at register 2 where the doors were open constantly from people going out it was freezing .We waited till after the black friday crowed had gone before going there, The cashier Tyinsha was trying very hard to relax us others in line.She did her job very well.The manager was an older lady long blonde/gray hair and wearing a Santa claus hat.i am very disappointed in the serve she gives there..I go to kmarts at least once a week from Pittsfield but now i'm thinking of cutting down my trips there as this is not the first time i have had problems in the past.
poor service
I spoke with a pharmacist named Mike the day before picking up my prescriptions so they would be ready for me. When I went to pick them up the next day, neither of the 2 prrecriptions were ready and I had to wait around in pain (recent surjery) until they were ready even though I had called them in the day before. Pharmacy was busy with hardly any one working. I will not shop there again

slow service, security called police on me for disciplining my daughter.
On December 20th your stores were busy. I just happened to get in a line where the cashier was slow. I was about five or six people behind and I told her to hurry up. My daughter who is six was getting restless and started asking when we would be going home. I told her to shut up which is when she started crying. I gave her something worth crying over. I pulled her hair and slapped her and that was when security was called on me. They called the police on me and they accused me of child abuse. My daughter is now in foster care because I told the lady to hurry up. If she had been doing her job in a timely manner I would not have lost my patience on my daughter. She only called them because I told her she was not doing her job right. I want my daughter back.
This was not abuse. I was simply disciplining my daughter and right now she is in a foster home where she is treated nicely by her 18 year old foster sister. They have no idea how evil she is.
Thanks Paul Vance, you are the only one who knows she deserved what she had. She had it coming.. They want me to stop hitting her and blaming her for her father's and brother's death. You know they are also accusing me of emotional abuse when I told my evil daughter that it was her fault her brother and father were killed in a car accident. If those people only knew her for what she is. My daughter is responsible for the death of her brother and husband. My daughter is mentally ill she even made a Christmas card for her dead brother and asked me to give it to him. I tore it up and told him thanks to her he will never get another Christmas or birthday gift again. My son had a hockey game he was playing and my daughter wanted to go. This stalled us for five minutes which caused them to get into an accident. My daughter was so evil that she did not tell her father and brother to wear their seatbelts which cost them their lives. I lost my husband and son thanks to her.

Actually Paul they won't get into trouble for calling the police. Like MauiAL50 said a person who reports what they suspect is child abuse cannot get into trouble. If this sick story is true I don't think that the cashier reported the OP because of what the OP said. It was based on the mother's actions. They cannot be sued based on what they saw. It is not up to her to prove abuse but up to the authorities and I am sure they investigated this further.
I ask the OP, do what are you more angry of, the fact that you lost your daughter or the fact that they took away your "punching bag." If the child is "evil" and responsible for their death(which she is not) than why do you want her back. Also since when is a six year old's responsibility to make sure their parents are wearing a seat belt? Isn't it the other way around. Your husband should have made sure his children were wearing the seat belts before they started the car and practiced what he preached by wearing one himself.

reward card
On a previous purchase I received a reward card at a value of 5.00 off my next purchase. On 12/23/11 I made some purchases and at the checkout the discount was not given to me. Iwas told it was declined or expired and was not there for me to use. So what is the purpose of a reward card if it has an experation time limit of using the discount. That is a sloppy way of business to give something to be use later and then not honor it at the checkout lane. Christmas time is not a time to show a ripoff of a so called reward card or discount. I went to kmart just the other day the one on 45th and 9th and i bought some boxed candy there were several nats/bugs in the box and on top of that i ate one of the candies before realizing the bugs were in the box...im trying to get a hold of there Corporate number! i was disgusted the lady at the counter helped me out alot she looked as disgusted as me.! thats the last time i will ever spend my hard working money too eat a bunch of nasty bugs.. I agree. What I think is this person got the random message saying that her post is being approved and will be posted shortly. That is why it showed up as she replied to her review and her reply is not there. It will probably appear in a day or two and if it does have a message which does not follow the rules of the site it will be "approved" without anyone seeing the message.

I know for a fact those cards were good 12/18-12/22. How do I know? Because I used one this week. It also said on the receipt the dates they were good.
What is the purpose of not using it right away an waiting a long time before using the card.

I am very disappointed with store 7068. The staff are inconsiderate and ill-trained. I shop at Kmart/ Sears often. I utilize the lay-away program alot. I love the products of the store and have friends that have retired from the Corporate Office in Troy, Michigan. Because of all this I have high expectations when I shop.
I recently had purchased a layaway in the amount of $400.00 from Kmart. I made many multiple payments and finally went to remove it yesterday while making my final payment. I was told by the staff that they could not add my shop your rewards that the points would take a day. I understood that the shop your way rewards card when utilized at the beginning of purchase would be swiped and at the end of the purchase that the points would be added and could be redeemed. Well, I went back this morning to make another purchase and they still werent there. This has happened numerous times and everytime the staff tell me I need to add them myself. This only happens at Kmart Store 7068. The Sears store 02642 that I go to have everything on the bottom of the printed receipts and never have any problems with adding my points.
My shop your way rewards card number is [protected] with a pin number of 3253 4363. I was expecting my 4000 points from my layaway! now I would like even more! Please train these patrons for this program more extensively! Thank you.
