sales items don't check out as on sale
Multiple times I have purchased an item listed as on sale only to have it check out as full price. When telling the cashier that I don't want it if it isn't on sale I am told to go stand in customer service line, which is long and only has one person working there. Items on clearance don't check out at clearance price, either. I will never shop this Kroger...
Read full review of Krogermost complex and confusing receipt
Kroger has the most complex and confusing receipt as well as on the price screen when scanning items I have ever experienced. Kroger cares more about how much money they claim to save you (very bold) so I can’t even see what the costs of items are (not in bold). We believe Kroger does this because they do not want us to detect if they bill us wrong. If they do bill us wrong (and we catch it!), I have to go and wait in line at customer service while my ice cream is melting to get my money back. Also, Kroger does not want us to be able to figure it out while in line, because it will hold up the line. My wife and I have spent 10 to 15 minutes sometimes trying to figure out if the discounts were applied, (either coupon or Kroger card or both) or not to items because the discounts do not occur until the end of the transactions. There is so much garbage printed on the receipt I almost cannot see any white behind the mass amount of worthless printing on it. I tried to send this feedback to Kroger on their web site but the submit button does not work, so I selected the e-mail option and nothing happens either. I even tried reloading the web page, still nothing. Imagine that, they do not want your feedback. HEB has the nicest receipt of all grocery stores I have seen, with the savings clearly marked and circled at the bottom away from the items purchased. I encourage my wife and everyone else to shop HEB instead of Kroger as much as possible. I attached my Kroger and HEB receipt. You decide which one you can read and which is worthless as the store!
failure to coordinate return recalled of items
I went to Kroger 1001 N Beckley yesterday to return black pepper and garlic powder that Kroger had distributed a return call that I had purchased around the month of May. There was only one person in the Customer Services counter with a line of 10 people and growing to be serviced. I asked a clerk directing traffic to the auto check out lanes if this is where I needed to return recalled items for exchange. She wasn't knowledgeable but assumed that's what I'd have to do since it was a return. The manager passed and I asked if he was the manager and he replied, "Yes!" I explained my situation and if I would have to wait in this line to return these recalled items. He replied, "Yes!" I then asked why was only one person in Customer Service with this long line building and why wasn't there an easier way to handle recalled items. He did not take charge of this issue but said he was trying to get help which never came. I left the items on a display case and went about my shopping because I could not wait for an hour or longer just to piddle with these recall items. If you recall items, your store should have a quick exchange process in place and not add to the confusion of your overloaded Customer Services single clerk to manage. This store has never had quality management nor has it ever been proactive. In the future, you should lay out a simple process to handle recall item returns.
Kroger fails its south side customer base. The Kroger stores in north Dallas have quality items, products, staff and managers. Our south side stores off the bare minimum and sometimes the bare is even shorter to none . . .
smokers
This location has a picnic table outside the front of the store where the employee smokers go (Assumingly) on their breaks. Customers have to walk by this area entering and leaving the store. It is very off-putting and inconsiderate to say the least. Bystanders should not be forced to be subjected to others' second hand smoke in a business establishment. Hopefully management will deem this inappropriate and relocate the "smoking station". Thank you.
I have become virtual prisoner in my home because of second hand smoke from people congregating and smoking near doorways of public establishments. I cannot go out because I become severely ill from its adverse effects on my congenital heart and lung disorders. Smoking should be done in a place where it does not create problems for others. Second hand smoke has been deemed dangerous to everyone's health.
fictitious spent 2 hours trying to get into this site at 3 different times in past 3 weeks my computer says unsecure site and other message bogus site
Have tried aprox. 2 hours apiece for the last 3 weeks to use my store receipt and enter contest and survey at www.krogerfeedback.com and my computer tells me 2 different messages-- 1 unsecure web site and the 2nd message bogus site. If you are no longer offering this and the chance for someone to win $100.00 for the month you should take this off your store receipts as this is false advertising. I would appreciate a answer on this; I have already typed several different notes such as this to Kroger sites I thought were for complaints and so far I have received no replys .
Thank You

I, too, can never get into website to earn my 50 fuel points. This has happened to me numerous times. I agree, if we can't earn the points, stop putting the info on receipts. Please respond.

Your complaint is very hard to understand.
Are you saying that, with your purchase, you also received $20 out of the till from a debit card transaction? If that is the case, why did you sign your receipt saying you received the $20 when you in fact did not?
customer service
First let me say that I have been a Kroger customer for many years I moved from Smyrna, Tn. to Murfreesboro, tn. a few years ago and have beenn shopping at the Kroger store at 2949 Old Fort Parkway Murfreesboro, Tn. 37128. Most of the store employees are nice and helpful; some spend more time socializing with each other than working. But my real problem began with an African American pharmacist that gave me incorrect information that caused a great deal of problems not only with filling my prescription, but also with my doctor’s office. I brought my prescription in paper form to the above named Kroger’s to be filled. My prescription was written TID as directed which means in medical Latin terms “ter in die” which is traditionally used in prescriptions to specify the frequency with which medicines should be taken, three times a day! The pharmacist was rude and uninform in her job telling me that TID could mean two times a day or three times a day and would not fill my prescription; she also told my doctor’s office the same wrong information. So I went to the Kroger store manager and I told the store manager that my doctor’s office said that the pharmacist was wrong and uninformed of what the term TID meant. The store manager went with me back to the pharmacy and the pharmacist told the manager the same wrong information that she gave my doctor’s office and me, and refused to fill my much needed prescription.
This is by far one of the worst expertise’s I have ever had as a customer in any store. I feel that if the pharmacist doesn’t have the proper training in her job then she should not be answering questions are filling prescription. And at the least owes me as a customer an apology for being wrong and rude.
African American's don't know how to read that is why you were given the wrong information. Why did she get the job in the first place when she cannot read. If she did not they would play the race card. That is all they are good for playing the race card when they do not get what they want.
bait and switch
Me and the wife went tv shopping the other day, at fred meyers. They had a 48" led tv posted for 399.99, but no statistics. So we asked to see the stats on the tv. The sales associate asked his manager if he knew more about this tv. They ended up showing us 4k tv with roku, and explained that roku pretty much makes it a smart tv. We were sold how could a deal like this be so good.
The electronic manager went to the back for some time, and brought out a box. I went to grab it from him, and he insisted on bringing it up to the counter for us. So we let him.
After we purchased our tv, loaded it in the car, brought it up stairs, and went to unbox it we realized that this tv we have didnt't come wit roku, and is 1080.
So i called the store and asked if we got the right tv, and they said probably not bring it in and we will swap it out.
We than took the tv back, and waited for them to bring out this 48 inch 4k tv with roku. They brought out a 40 inch tv, 4k with roku... I asked where the 48 inch was, and they stated that they dont carry one, and there was some confusion with the "NEWLY" trained electronic manager and assistant that were helping us.
After dealing with corporate customer service, i came to an agreement with them witch sounded great, 42 inch tv 4k with roku and 100 dollar gift card for the inconvenience. She would just have to call back the store manager and would get back to me in 15 minutes.
When she called back she said " ok we got your 40 inch..." I stopped her right there and said i thought we agreed on a 42. She went on to say once again it was a miss understanding/communication error, and if i wanted the 42 inch, i would have to pay full price of 499.99. At this point i could care less about the 2 inches i only could care about the principle that they have tried to pull a fast one on me and my wife twice. in under 24 hrs.
Is this bait and switch or just terrible training?
not having ad product
We went to buy a balcony table and chairs in the ad. The store said they didn't have any and probably wouldn't be getting any. The clerk said we couldn't get a rain check. We asked to talk to management. He gave us a raincheck and promised to try to find one. We have no problem with him, but when we called the customer service line to complain about the ad she told us Kroger was not obligated to have ad items. She is the one we take issue with. Is that the Kroger attitude? Not obligated to have an ad item?
unprofessional pharmacist
the pharmacist on duty called my ordering physician to verify a prescription and then proceeded to tell the physician some very personal issues i have had in the past. The physician said i am very aware and this was a very long time age. My question is how does this pharmacist know my personal life history and why would she feel the need to try to hurt me...

I have complained to all managers about my coworkers working over their alloyed time to get more hours than me. I have seniority and they refuse to give it to me. Manager at fuel center 466 don't even make her own schedule the computer does it. I'm white and they all are black except the new lady. They are racists
prescription given to wrong person
My mother and I had told the pharmacy about a month ago to make a note in the computer that nobody should pick up her scripts without her drivers license. As we go to pick up her Clonozipan - the pharmacist tells us that a trainee gave it out to my sister (who is an addict and it was noted that she tried the other Kroger right before this one that gave it to her) She apologized but said there was nothing they could do. My mother has colon cancer stage 4 and uses this to calm her and let her rest. We are changing pharmacies and will speak with her doctor next week and pray they will give her another prescription. This needs to be addressed as it is unacceptable. I have made clear what happened to all I know including facebook and other sites!

kroger fires because he's white
I can not believe that Kroger Corporate is letting its
Lakeland, TN Store Managers (Jerry Towers),
Memphis, TN Regional Mangers (Tersa Turley), and
Memphis Area, TN HR Managers (Nigel Vareen)
Fire someone because they are WHITE and not black like them.
I can not believe that Kroger lets this racism go on.
They discriminate at kroger 466, also don't feel bad.and store 466 fuel center sells out of date snacks and oil
bullying
i have just starting working at this job. and i have been having some issues with a coworker that seems to think that she in charge of everything and everyone there at night. and she in not in charge of anything i know this for a fact because the dept manager himself has told me this personally, he has told me and my other co-worker that are new as well as myself that if she starts to act up go the store manager that is on duty and told them and let them deal with her, so i have done this twice each night after this had happened, after a about 30 min or so she starts acting up again but in a different way. she also telling me that i dont know my job and tell me how to my job and i have former experience in the area and know my customer service skills have worked in retail for over 5 yrs. because am new she seems to think that she can control everything and am not the only one that she doing this with. mislabeling, deceptive & baloney at it's best
This product in the 10 oz. Size mimics other products that offer genuine basil pesto mixed with garlic olive oil, cheese in a traditional italian way but krogers version is primarily spinach, dark and smelly. A hint of basil, I guess, but just about non - existent spinach is much cheaper of course tha fresh basil so this is the obvious reason.
Labeling goes on to say "made from an authentic receipe with basil, rich cheeses, and garlic". Baloney! No mention that they did not use olive oil (The only way it could even be close to authentic) they used canola oil. Cheapie, cheapie.
Labeling say zero cholesterol. How possible with"rich cheese, oil, milk"!
Shame on krogers for offering this type of product in such a fraudulent manner.
the store general manager
I went to the fuel center on 12/29/2014. I went there to fill up my tire. I attempted to use their air pump but it only made my tire worse until it was a flat as a pancake. I am pregnant and we do not have any cell phones due to us trying to save money. I went to the booth to ask them for a phone to call my husband for help. The assistant said he didn't...
Read full review of Kroger and 2 commentsforeign object found in can of cashews
Found a rubber band in product — purchased kroger brand cashews - barcode [protected] — no real daycode info except on bottom of can sell by sep 28 15 0906 k1. After finishing most of the can, I found an old rubber band inside. I am certain this happening during the packaging process, and just want the company to be aware. If a consumer were to have just eaten a handful of cashews without looking, this could have been a choke hazard. Fortunately, I poured them onto a paper towel before eating.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
unfair treatment
I have been working for # Kroger 520 since march and I go to work daily not knowing how I am going to be treated by my market manager Belinda Valdez I have talked to the store manager and the co manager Bobbie Marshall and Tammy Nelson many times and they always tell me we are working on it and they treat me as if I am incompetent and I still get treated bad every time I feel like there is no way I will ever progress at Kroger because of the management at #kroger 520 the final straw for me was having to close with Belinda Valdez on Friday and she yelled at me about something she did herself then yelled at me in front of customers I was upset and crying went to management told Tammy and all she said was sorry
