management
I work at Kroger 466 fuel center.my problem with this store is mainly management.I came in to start my job duties and I realized there was a safety issue.I called for management, with no response.a cashier called me and I told her my problem. She came out and picked up the cases of water that fell.the stack of water was stacked wrong by a stocker.
So the water fell again.the manager on duty was at his car, so I walked over to him, and asked him if he could send someone out to restock the water. He told me that I would have to do it myself.i was not hired as a stocker I was hired as a fuel center cashier.i also hurt my back at work a month ago from putting stuff inside fuel center.kroger has overstocked stuff at fuel center.plus we get no benefits, because we work at fuel center.

unfair pay
As an employee, I feel that I shouldn't feel threatened if I question my pay.
Last year, in June, I got my RX tech certification and got a raise for that. My manager waited until after my raise went into the system to do my yearly evaluation so the eval raise would take effect on the new payrate. However, that's not what happened. I was told that I wasn't going to be given that raise on top of the certification raise because my eval was for the time period before my certification was effective. However, i would get back pay for the time between the due date of my eval and the date of eval for what the pay would have been had I not got certified (but of course, I didn't see that back pay either). Now, I am at a crossroad, the HR lady has said that if anyone questions their pay again they are to be written up (some HR lady right?)
I don't feel as though that reasoning is fair. My eval should be for the time from my one the year before to the date that that one was done.
Does anybody know who I can contact to get this fixed? I want the pay I deserve because now someone who has been there a year and a half less than me is making more than I am and that isn't fair (no they didn't have experience pay or anything of that nature) I have all of my pay stubs showing I never got that back pay, and I feel like my platform here is veery good. I have every right to question what I make especially if someone who is under me in seniority is making more.

service
I have Humana insurance, one of the largest and most common insurance carriers, yet when I went to went to pay for my prescription I was told that the insurance company didn't cover the medication. When I asked why, it was actually Krogers who did not have a contract or whatever with Humana. My wait was about 2 hours, I was in a lot of pain while I watched the techs pretty much screw around behind the counter, and then they told me that. That information should be revealed to the customer when you turn in your prescription with your insurance card or at least have a big sign posted so the consumer is not duped.

harassment & retaleation
I was hired a little over a month ago, everything was going well for the first two weeks. I was constantly told by other managers how good I was doing in my position. But one Manager started to treat me like I was a ###, I tried to call out one day cause I was sick but he told me "To suck it up and get my *** to work" well I came into work that day even though I was sick as a dog. I was about two hours into my shift and the manager called one of the other employees to the office he made her come down and state right in front of me that he was allowing her to go home cause she was sick, she started to laugh and stated he told her to tell me that and he walks past and laughs at me. He continued to pin point me out of other employees yelling at me as loud as possible to humiliate me. He made one of the employees wear a a mexican hat and give samples out to customers and he stated how she looked like a spic in front of me and the employee, which I was insulted by that. I should have reported it then but I knew that if I had reported it that the harassment would get even worse by that manager. I was went to the store manager to request them move me to another department in the store but was bumbarted by her and that manager telling me they had another position they wanted me to do, I agreed to it, I was gonna start this week. Well last Friday I went onto the portal to see me hours were well they only had me down for one day (which they are required to give part time employees 18 hours a week) which was only 7 hours. I called in to ask what was going on since I was gonna start my new position and it was gonna be Thursday- Sunday well that manager stated to me in a aggervated tone that I wasn't getting that position and how he was tired of me. It caused me to have a panic attack, I reported it to corporate and they never did anything. I ca;ed HR and reported harassment from that manager that is a dead end cause they wont tell me anything. I went in this last Thursday to drop my uniform off and to get my last pay check they didn't have my check, they stated that they closed my employment out before my hours were sent to payroll she printed off a paper and I took it to the front desk and they only paid me $70 out of $140. I'm going to go to EEOC and file a lawsuit against the manager and the company for allowing someone in management to harass and to discriminate against en employee.

I recently bought a box of these crackers and one of the packages had burnt edges on all the crackers. This is not the first time this has happened. If it keeps happening I will start using a different brand. I don't understand how the packaging department can't catch this problem.
rude self check out cashier
My husband and I had some shopping to do after I went to pick up my medication We had 4 bottles of win and rug cleaner. We went to the self check out lane. We were next to the cashier location. My husband swiped the rug cleaner, then the first bottle of win. It said that he had to show his id to the cashier. She looked at it and then put the codes in. To make a long story short, it took her 4-5 to correct it. I said that we can go to one of the regular check out since it is giving you trouble. She said no that's ok I think I have it now. It took. When It came time to leave one of the bottles dropped out of his hand and broke. She called for assistance for the spill and said it was a glass bottle and it was alcohol . The guy came over and put some stuff on it. He then said something and put down the empty bottle of stuff and broom then walk away. I told the cashier that I was sorry that it broke. The cashier was elderly and seemed to be upset that it splashed on her shoes. We started out the first door and as we went over it another bottle broke on the carpet. I went in and showed her and told the one guy. He got upset and said 'Oh my god what is going on. I went to get the same kind of wine bottle that broke and as I came up to the cashier she looked at me and said out loud with an attitude "look you have to have this in a bag when you leave hear". She grabbed the bottle and put it in two bags. She said that just lay it down in the cart!. I told her" first of all I was showing you the bottle so you can see I got the same one, AND I was going to get a bag, but i just did not want to go to one of the full register's and get a bag while other customers where checking out their things." She said that" it is very unusual that some one would brake two bottles. But oh well." Need not I say customers stopped to see what was going on. I like shopping at Kroger's because it is just around the corner from where I live. But the employee's need to brush up on customer care a lot.
wrong prescription
I moved from Cardington Ohio and transferred my prescriptions from the Mt. Gilead Kroger to this Kroger. Thinking it would not be a problem with computers and everything... (boy, was I wrong!!!). I also had to switch Doctors to one closer considering its over 60 miles apart. My new Doctor called in all my prescriptions which I have about 10 of them. I have...

I live in Glendale AZ and up the street from me on 67th and Bell Is Fry's Grocery where I shop quite avidly! Every week at least 2 times I go. Last Friday I picked up the usually tasty 8 pack Kroger Chicken fingers, the one packet had what looked like nibbled off ends put back in the wrapping, and also a couple of the fingers looked to have been tainted somehow. This is the first time EVER I can recall about such a gut churning let down from this product. It just did not look safe and needless to say it was a waste of food and had to be perished. Just thought I would give the heads up on this! Thank you so much'

employee treatment
I am an employee of Kroger. I very seldom complain to my supervisors about others. I had a coworker make some very inappropriate false comments about myself. The coworker is on first name basis with Kroger's head HR offices and known to stir up trouble. I went to my immediate supervisor and the store manager, I was told by one he didn't want to hear about it at all. He refused to listen. In fact as soon as I brought the name up he shoOK his head and walked off. The other said she is allowed to say whatever. When I asked him to please ask the coworker to keep their distance ( I just wanted to do my job without their interference) he said he would rather me tell them, he stated he did not want that person to take him to the office. So I aired my complaints with an associate over a social network and I am now being told to watch it I was being investigated. That I could say whatever I wanted at work but not that way. I went the proper way I ask my supervisors they refused. AS soon as I mentioned management in a negative way I now am the one in trouble. It is OK for them to make derogatory statements about the employees but the one time I state the truth and what everyone talks about at work I am in trouble. I work Hard, I am dependable and do a good job..where is my freedom of speech when a person cant vent opinions I never used anyone name or gave any location or details.

refund
I went in and bought a Maybelline lip color, keep in mind that in grocery stores you aren't allowed to try it on or anything and I respect these rules. However at home when I used it the same day, it made my lips peel, meaning that it didnt react correctly with my lips. For me to keep it would have been a waste of money. I tried returning it to Kroger, used it ONCE, but the manager was so ridiculously rude, he flat out told me he refused to give me the refund. I told him my situation and said nope, I even told him I bought a foundation there last week and was able to successfully refund it because i had an allergic reaction to it, and he said oh well, policy changed now. Who gave him the right to do that instantly? he's nothing but a lowly store manager not even area manager. I honestly wouldn't even be annoyed if he wasn't so rude. I would suggest trying to return cosmetics to other Kroger stores, I have done it before. Most cashiers really don't care. Kroger has a shady refund policy and hires rude staff. Shop elsewhere. H-E-B is better.

Beware Scarborough Renaissance Festival has become the best rip-off fair ever
The 35th Season of Scarborough Renaissance Festival is and will be last forever, after spending almost a decade of patronage, of spending thousands of dollars on furs jewelry and costumes I have had to call it an end, all because of their unsympathetic refund policy, I decided to get ahead and purchase tickets in advance of my next visit, well when I found out that the weekend was visited by heavy thunderstorms heavy rain and large hail I decided to cancel my visit I checked Scarborough Renaissance Festival online policies to claim a refund and was unable to find one ANYWHERE I left telephone calls and emails NEVER a response or reply, so I drove the 90 minute to talk to some child teen that did not know anything about anything after about over an hour some guy calls on a radio and said that because I purchase the tickets at a third party vendor i.e. KROGER so I went to Kroger and was told to claim the refund to be told that I have to get my refund from Scarborough Renaissance Festival in persons so after wasting half my day driving to Scarborough Renaissance Festival and Kroger wasting time money and gas the moral of the storey is NEVER Buy tickets in advance ever the discount is never worth it My final comment is that while Scarborough Renaissance Festival will not go out of business by loosing me as a loyal customer, during the course of my day I meet a hundreds of people and hundreds more on social media I will just say don’t ever buy Scarborough Renaissance Festival tickets in advance no matter how much the discount and if you do have to run into their management its seems to of never heard of customer service, so don’t look for it.
harrassment
Manager Mike Stevens, Lake Rd., Dyersburg, Tn., insists that before he will order new uniforms for male employee, he must come to Mr. Stevens office and let him measure employee's inseam personally. Kroger CEO, Dave Dillon, I don't know where you spend your $2+ million dollar annual salary, but perhaps you should take a little side-trip to red-neck country, cause you've got a sick boy running/ruining? your store. You will find him in his office, cramming Honey Buns in his mouth and washing them down with a diet Mountain Dew. Dave, you ain't in Kansas anymore!

probation
I have worked for Kroger for almost 2 years. I have been put on probation for excessive absence. Every time I have written proof from my doctor urgent care er or surgeon . Supposably I have 13 offenses ... Have no idea where that came from I am only aware of these. Vomiting. Almost falling to the floor leaving early went to doctor . Have excuse. 2nd had bleeding and rushed to hospital left work early ended up having ectopic pregnancy and had to have surgery as it was fatal. Was out 5 days. Then got flu went to urgent care with recurring fever and pain doctor excuse for 48 hrs off due to contagious! Then a week later illness never cured by antibiotics so rushed to urgent are after work with 104 fever. Doctor ordered 48 hrs off. Only took off 5. Next day return to work and every employee was aware I was under evaluation as there was a note ------ called off again... So rude! Was called to office and told I was put on probation for absence and tardy... I was unaware as Kroger I believed had a 7 minute rule for clocking in but I was only late a few times by a minute or two. Also some late clock ins were due to clock system as I had just transferred and had to find someone to manually clock me in. Tell me this is it right to be put on probation for these as I work in pharmacy and I can spread germs easy I count distribute meds and talk to clients. I feel treated unfairly. As I was under the impression as long as I had written doctor notes that I wouldn't be put on disciplinary action.
I disagree as you probably skimmed this question without actually reading it. I'm not asking for opinions, so keep yours to yourself. I work hard pay my taxes and raise a family, I do have some medical issues that have arose that have caused time off. And I believe that I was treated unfairly as this was my first reckoning as it was and issue as I have stated I have valid! Not fake or illegal. Documentation of my hospitalization surgery and sickness. As I was raise treat others as you would like to be treated so leave your discriminating comments to yourself
First off, are you part of the local union? If you are, voice your issues and questions to management and then let them know that if you are not satisfied with their response, you will have no choice but to talk to your union rep. Sometimes, that makes all the difference in their handling of an issue. It did with me. They don't mess with me anymore. I've been with Kroger for two years.
Can't speak for the illnesses, hey its happened to me - only person in my department that was out 4 -6 days a year just for the lousey flu. But do you realize that as far as they're concerned, one minute late is as bad as 1 hour late? They really do think like that - especially if some higher up's relative or friend needs a job. Finally I know a Kroger employee who tells me all the stories, and from what I hear, you may as well assume your coworkers are all backstabbers. So clean up your act. Start with arriving a half hour early.
Check into the "Medical and Family Leave Act" ...It may help...I know becos I was fired for excessive absence...and I couldn't draw unemployment...I showed where "ALL" of the time I took off...except 4 hours...was to take my "better half" to doctor appointments and ER visits...the 4 hours was when I took off in the middle of my shift to go to the ER, and had documentation for everything...I could have got my job back with back-pay...but it worked out where I took my time and found better employment...Dept of Labour or the Labour Board has the information...it was enacted to cut done on Harassment...Good Luck...bohicadon
