Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) sales/billing/customer service

I had been a member for 7 years and got the perks to pay up front annually. Missed my renewal date for being in nursing school and working at the hospital BUT their computer system still allowed me to pay the full price for the yearly membership without problems or errors. So I paid for the service and now is being declined that service. Their system gladly took my money and did not return it for months of me thinking I am paying for my yearly membership regardless of being able to go in to workout or not, it is still a service I paid for. Customer service was extremely rude and not helpful in resolving the problem stating they have done all they could and I would have to repay double the price as a new member. Its just a way to make more money for them at the end of the day over customer satisfaction. Loyalty to the company for that long means nothing to them. Their community relationship for hospital workers and other businesses means nothing. So now my boyfriend and I will both be moving onto a new company.

I paid $$$ up front so I only have to pay $98 a year. They have incompetent staff as I asked many times if I owed money (including last month) and was told no. So apparently this is the main scam in this industry. I specifically asked when I paid my wife's membership in March if I owed money for my membership and I was told I did not. Then my wife and I...

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) service and policy and procedures

The staff are very deceiving. They lie about everything and pass the blame to the next or they didnt know anything. I asked for, policy and procedures copy from the rainbow location lvac. We dont have any.! I said what?.. You have too contact corporate, I was told by the front desk. The reason I asked for p&p s because I wanted to know exactly what it said on lost membership cards. I was told by the clerk that I needed too get a new card after four entries of no card. Well no wonder why they didnt have any copy of this four entry policy... Because... There is no such thing on policy and procedures as to what I was given by corporate... What a joke...$.. Thats all it is..$...

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) disgracing a disabled veteran

Hey anyone that's a veteran and disabled be cautious of LVAC Las Vegas Athletic Club, I have recently had serious medical conditions that limit my mobility and ability to continue to exercise and my doctors have written specific letters to the Las Vegas Athletic Club directly to have my membership postponed and or cancelled and I was completely disregarded and told tuff Cookies, we don't care, keep paying!. I understand the membership and they have a zero tolerance for injured or disabled veterans. I provided a medical letter from my doctor and proof of my 100% disability, In fact they said you can at least swim in the pool>>? really, , with a torn rotator cuff full thickness tear, broken collar bone and recently detached plantar fascia, yeah just swim! IDIOTS!. I am already a veteran with a disabilities rating of 100% plus these current injuries they wont even work with me. It sickens me that when i mentioned my veteran status they commented that veterans are always looking for free handouts..APPALLING !

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) billing dept is charging $25 for their error.

Lvac is charging me $25 fee for their error. I get charged on 1st of every month and they billed me on 8-10-18 $39 and on 8-27-18 $25 fee. I had the funds available since the 1st. I am cancelling the membership and never coming back here and would never recommend new people here too. They still want to charge me $800. It will mess up my credit but I know I'm right so whatever.

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) membership renewal

Earlier this week I received a call from an employee at the LVAC central office to renew my and my husband's membership which would be $210 each. I asked how much it would be to switch to a lower package which I was quoted $144 each. I said I would call back so that I could discuss it with my husband. I called back later that week ready to pay $144 for myself and $144 for my husband to renew our memberships. To my surprise I was told that I would need to pay $35 each to downgrade our membership. I was never informed of this downgrade fee from the employee I first spoke with. Even the notes that LVAC keeps don't mention that the fee was informed to me, according to the second employee I spoke too. I really want to renew our membership at $144 each. I was misinformed and strongly feel that we should not have to pay the downgrade fee.

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) worst gym on the planet don't sign a contract

I joined lvac in December 2016 I was told I could cancel at any time for $50 otherwise I would have NEVER signed up. I only signed up for they pool and Pilates classes but their were never any lanes available and the Pilates class was total ###. It was for old people there was no cardio or even weights. There's no machines available even if I wanted to do that. There's NO parking I had to park in the greens and proteins lot. Customer service is so rude and terrible they are money leeches I was completely scammed. I hate that gym and switched over to Tru Fusion down the street. Lvac won't let me out of the contract no matter what they completely lied to my face and want $576! I called again today asking if I could just give my membership to my brother and guess what? Nope. Even when I find a way to still give them their ### money they refuse. We're taking them to court and we're going to win. Worst gym in the world never even step foot in there it's dirty and crowded and such a rude environment

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) locker room thief

On Sunday, Feb 12th...my Key-Lock locker was broken into, and over $300 was stolen from my wallet; luckily no credit cards nor identification. The Club Manager was shocked, since it was a Key-Lock and not a Combination-Lock. The metal face-plate was twisted so badly you could barely open the locker. Mine was one of three thiefs known that afternoon between 1-3PM. Yes; during broad daylight, when weekend staffing is minimal.

Corporate Management is NOT liable, and will not make any compensation.

When I filed my report with Metro; I was informed that this is more common than members know about.

So, for your safety follow Metro's advice...

NEVER have more than $20 in your locker.
Bring only your gym membership card & license.
IF you bring a credit card--only ONE.
CAR thief is on the rise; please no valuables left in the cars.
If you see any suspicious activity; please Report to the Club staff immediately.
Use the COIN-OPERATED lockers instead (no reports of robberies).
Be aware of your surroundings, and DON'T advertise with fancy gym-bags, watches, IPhone, etc.
Finally, Count how many metal face-plates have a twist on them or if the plate feels loose (that is likely a sign of a previous break-in).

If you have any concerns; please address them to LVAV Corporate Office located behind the Club on Maryland/Karen.

I have been a member since 1992, and NOW use precautions.

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) day care very poor

Hello:

My name is Adam Alberico and I am a member of LVAC. I have been a member for a few years on and off now. Recently I had a child who is coming up on one years old in a few days.

I went to LVAC a few weeks ago (a few days before thanksgiving) and dropped off my child cooper, at the LVAC daycare. While working out I watched cooper on the TV monitors the whole time I was working out. I noticed while I was watching him and working out that my son was in the swing the whole time (why a 1 year old is in a swing is beyond me) and he was trying to get out most of the time. I noticed that 2 women who worked at LVAC were in the corner talking most of the time when they should have been watching my son. Every so often one lady would walk over the the swing and push the swing to move it and have it swing, then she would walk back tot he corner and talk to the lady with her back to my son. (I took a picture of this with my phone) After 25-30 minutes someone came to me and said I needed to come to the work out area because Cooper was crying. When I arrived in the day care center I noticed the women talking (still) and my son crying out loud. The one lady then walked to the swing and took him out of the swing. (Now this is where the problem starts)

I asked they lady if she took my son out of the swing and played with him or held him. She said "Oh yes, we played with him, and held him and he did not stop crying" I said "I ask you again, and please do not lie to me" and which time she said yes she did play with him. I asked to speak to the manager and she said "They all said they played with him" Now remember the whole time I was watching this on the TV monitor.. NO ONE at anytime ever went to play with him at all or hold him and kept a 1 year old in a swing and they all lied about it. I told them I would like to have the tapes pulled and have them reviewed because they are all not telling the truth.

I called LVAC to complain about what happened, and was told someone would get back to me. No one did for weeks. I then called again, and no call the next day. I called the LVAC manager and he then called the office and had someone call me. I asked to watch the tapes and they would NOT watch the tapes with me OR tell me what they saw on the tapes. I asked to have my membership canceled and they said no, but would take the day care off of my membership. I am NOT able to work out without putting my son in day care there, and I will NOT put my son back in the play room. Why is this a big deal... Simple, If they are going to lie about holding my son and playing with him and say they attended to his needs, then they would lie about bigger problems that may come if (god forbid if they did come up) I can not trust them to watch my son, they left him in a swing and let him cry while they were talking in a corner and not attending to him. What if he was running a fever and it was spiking to a high temp and did not tell me he felt warm because he was not attended to. They left him with there back turned to him and just let him cry while I was paying money to ensure his safety and to have my sons needs attended to and not just be left alone and then cover up saying they did do something. This is about them ling and not doing there jobs and letting kids go unnoticed while they talk and cover up. Who knows if I was not watching and something serious did happen, then what... Could this be going on with other kids where they are just left if swings and let to cry for 30 mins or so while nothing is being done.

I do have a picture of this on my phone, and will show you, however they will not give me ANY info on what they saw on the tapes or watch them with me. Why not?

Please get back to me and let me know if you can PLEASE help me. THis is NOT NOT NOT just about me, but the true safety of ALL kids at the LVAC day care.

Thanks agian,

Adam

When I saw him in the swing I could not see him crying at all... You were not able to see him cry, so therefore there was no need for me to get "off my [censored]" to help my son because I did not see him crying... It was when I went to the DC is when they told me he has been crying... Thak you for your comment, however I can see you do not have a child and can not put yourself in my shoes. I'm not going to make this a pissing war with you. I thank you for your comment, but have to disagree with you. By the way, lazy people do not go to the gym to work out...

First off. Adam, you are the CRYBABY in this scenario. We know that you have a history of causing problems. a Real dad would find something to do with his child instead of pawning them off on someone else all the time. and then trying to make them out to be the bad guys. Spend some time with your kid for GOD'S SAKE. Take a look in the mirror at what you have done.
Thanks Again,
Karma...

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) deceitful practices

We’ve spent the last three months trying to cancel our membership with Las Vegas Athletic Club.
When we originally joined – the sales representative had told us that we would be able to cancel our membership without penalty if: it were for medical reasons, or if we moved farther than 50 miles from a facility.
In fact – we moved to another state = and have sent them this information numerous times. Each time they have told us they will not cancel the membership – that we should have completely read their fine print contract before signing – and they are not responsible for the lies told to us by their sales representative.
If we still lived in Nevada – I would make it my mission to make the rounds of each of their clubs and have a sales representative take the time to show me the club – and when it came time to sign the contract, I would make them sit there for the 2 hours it would take to read the contract, and then refuse to sign due to their cancelation policy. Perhaps a taste of their own medicine - wasting peoples time and money!

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) contract trickery

Every lvac contract includes the "membership option extension." clause in the lower right side of the front side. Do not sign this! It is an option that you do not have to sign to join. It reads as follows:

"membership extension option if member has fulfilled the contractual obligations specified herin, the membership may be extended at the low monthly rate of $_ per person per month. This rate will be increased by $3.00 processing fee for any non-automatic payment method. I understand that a fitness pluss membership renewal does not include options.
I agree to continue this membership and abide by the terms herin..." (Etc)

They will insist that you sign this "option" and will say that you cannot join until you do. Stand your ground and insist that they call corporate and "allow" the sign block to be put as "n/a." I did join two memberships for myself and my girlfriend this way. I paid cash, not check, not credit card but cash! If you do join this way they have no way to completly charge you and ruin your credit long after you thought your membership is supposedly expired after one year. *you must sing the "waiver clause" on the left side to join. It simply states that they will be held harmless if you hurt yourself on there facilities. No way around this. Also, do not give them a valid pohone number or emergency contact. They will use this to "you are authorizing us to contact you on this phone, by any method, including the use of a predictive dialer." this sentence is on the bottom left side of the contract. Line it out and have the lvac rep initial it.

The above info is the only way you can join and not have your credit ruined and get harrassed by this establishment.

Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) they stole my money!

I moved out from LV (finally!) and canceled my membership, they supposed to send me check ($56). I've never got it, called them 3 times, finally 6 weeks later I asked again for MY money. They said they have sent check and I can pay 35 dollars to stop payment on the first check. RIDICULOUS! I talked to Elene Toliver, office manager, which constantly interrupted me, was rude and wanted to brush me off, I couldn't even fisnish a sentence. I asked for a contact to higher management she lied to me that she is the highest one, the head of LVAC (what a liar), and she refused to give it to me (I will find out anyway). So basically they pass their fees on me, stealing my money and this 35 bucks is going to buy them a lot of bad reputation, my sis and her husband suppose to sign up there but they just changed their mind. This is 1 of the worst customer service I received.

I agree, My trouble was I paid 3 years in advance and received 4 special services, 1 free guest, towel, instructor and another that I can not remember what it was and amazingly enough neither can they. When I brought my sister who was visiting from Texas in I had no problems for free visit untiil today they stated that out of state must pay $ 20 per visit. I canceled my membership and they said there would be no refund. I said I will advertise for them and I will. Already detered 2 people from joining today. My sister will warn a couple from Texaws who are moving to Vegas to retire. I am absolutely positive they want less cusotmers so we'll help. Everyone please help. Tell everyone you meet about how poorly managed LVAC really is.

I called to update my bank information so they could collect my payment, but the refused to update the computer now both my husband and I had to pay a $20 per account to reinstate our account. What a total ripoff also they are so rude when you call to speak to anyone. They call that customer service I think not!

Be careful my friends. They seem to me to be scammers at Las Vegas Athletic Club. I have since heard more bad stories like this, but check this out. When I joined I was reluctant to join at that time because I was not sure if a family member wanted to join.
