annoying commercial
This commercial symbolizes a commercial for collage then it does clothes it has nothing to do with the levis jeans till the very end and the woman talks to fast it's annoying that commercial or more for musician or orchestra as well then for clothes good brand of jeans but very annoying commercial I remember when commercials used to make sense
jeans worn out
I have been using the levis brand for my jeans wear for more then 5 years in bangalore. Never had an issue with quality until recently. I had bought a jeans from there few months back [7 months] and used occassionally only on occassions. Hardly washed twice during this duration. Once while I wore it to a function my wife observed one of clip for belt was off. I just ignored her telling it must be due to poor stiching similiar to one on the back pocket on jeans. Later next time I realised that what was pointed by my wife earlier was none but cloth worn out case. And to my surprise, it wasn't one spot where it was happening. After carefully observing, I could see couple of places have been in same condition.
I have reported it to the life style store keeper. To which they took the piece for some testing by levi's supplier. Later store person called me to tell that this can not happen to their items which sold through this shop. Just a week back I have bought another piece of levi's, now to suprise it also has similiar case of cloth worn out at back pocket. I don't understand whats the use of buying this brand first of all, and that too from their store if they can service the complaints. I want them to replace both of my faulty piece's.
Understanding now how the levi's has become now, I would avoid shopping it next time.

defective jeans
I bought a pair of levis 559 relaxed straight jeans from tangers outlet levis store in wisconsin dells, wi in october 2011. I wore the jeans for the first time (attempted) and they ripped from that back left pocket to the center of my rear. I usually do not submit retail complaints but I am very disappointed in a product that I have been supporting for over 30 years. I paid 55.00 for the jeans which I thought was a reasonably good price for a pair of jeans from a company that I usually get a jean with lifetime wear ability, honestly, the older my levis get, the better they are in fit and appearance.in this case I only wore them once. They were not too small, they did not appear to have any defects when I purchased them, and I didn't do any activities that would warrant a rip. The way that they ripped also is also in a way that they cannot be repaired. What I am requesting is either a refund, or a replacement pair. I cannot simply return them because we do not have a levis store here in milwaukee where I actually live, and I bought them while on vacation in the dells, which is two hour plus drive. I do not have the receipt because I purchased them two months ago, and because of the quality that I am used to getting with levis, I couldn't have imagined a need to hold on to it for a return. I can send them to an address that would handle the return and provide either a refund, or replacement pair. I purchased four pair of jeans that day. The other three are fine, this particular pair obviously had a defect. Please contact me at [protected] to help resolve this complaint.-r. Greer

poor quality
I have had two pairs of 505 jeans split on the center corner of the rear pocket and the split runs along the pocket and goes a little past the pocket. I'm not sure whats to be done. The sales reciept is long gone and the're only a couple of months old. I threw the first pair away thinking it was just a fluk but, 2 of them ripping the same way? I'm think someings wrong here.
In the last year I have bought 5 pair of levi jeans and the fit is great, but after only wearing them 3 to 4 times the jeans star to rip in the inseam. $39.99 for a pair of jeans that are only able to be worn 3 times. I am not out of shape the jeans are the right size and the rip in the inseam at work. very poorly made. I still have a pair of levi jeans from high school 13 years ago that I still wear. what are they doing. I will not be buying levi products again. Way to go with cheep labor.
Levis has always been a brand many has grew up. Here in Malaysia, the brand has been well respected and loved by many across the age group sharing just as much love in the west if not any less. I like to consider myself as one having owned many pairs of levis and having gone more than 20 years back with them in my early teens. 501 remains to be a personal favourite among the lot. When they stopped producing jeans in US and manufactured just about everywhere else. I thus stopped buying levi's given the alternate quality off the shelf. Earlier this year when i learn that the 501 shrink to fit are still available and made in mexico I jumped back on the wagon and off ebay I had my hands on a few. Made in mexico levis are not available on this side of planet. Out of 5 pairs of levis, 3 shrink to fit 501, 1 preshrunk 501 and a 511. 3 had issues.
1) The preshrunk W32 measured 35?! That pair was made in Haiti and was send back to the seller for refund. We are not talking about some special edition LVC reincarnation of a 1947 501xx. It was a regular issue 501. The leg opening measure 9 inches single sided?! Most of the 501 are at around 8 inches.
2) So i thought i better avoid the pre shrunk, I went back to the shrink to fit which i had better luck with. When the jeans arrived, part of the upper side of the belt loop was torn and stitched over. In the end, it started fraying after 1 wash. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y36/rayshader/beltloop.jpg
3) So I thought, maybe i should go with something else like a 514 or 511 for a change. I bought a 511 just this month for a change with another US based seller on ebay. This one really took the cake, in all my years of wearing pants and i do wear them daily. I have never come across any jeans that has a slanted seam as such http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y36/rayshader/511b.jpg I am not sure if i am ready to make a fashion statement with a lob sided look. How can the dividing seams made as such?! Material wise it felt light weighted unlike the 505 or 501.
If the local offerings aren't sensational, my attempts to acquire them from US and paying extras on freight was indeed a lost cause. 3 of out 5, thats 60% in less than 4 months. I was so unhappy, I rang levis help desk at [protected] from half across the world! The lady assured me my worries were indeed valid as these were bought in US. I was told to send the jeans back for "evaluation", i explained myself that the shipping for 2 pairs isn't going to be cheap from where i am standing. She promptly offered a free pair of jeans when the items get send back to me. I was issued with the case number asking for my address and receipts in an email that followed. As these are bought online, the only receipts i have are statements from paypal. I wanted to be certain if this was another lost cause in the making thus enquired with them indicating the scenario with the pictures above. A few days have passed. I even wrote to Rosie Cayetano direct without having heard from her either. I cannot help but feel I was put on a joyride. I was quite keen to send the items back for evaluation having my attempts to explain my situation, I cannot helped but feel my voice must have been lost in the many complaints and mails behind a company that boldly states every garment guaranteed. I think my collection ends here. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y36/rayshader/mycollection.jpg Thanks for the memories levis.

I had one pair do that and have had on other pairs the beltl loops just let go...
Quality has gone out of style at Levi Strauss and Co. What is this "Quality Never Goes Out Of Style" stuff...
Here are the pictures illustrating the above.
only $40 for levi's geans?
i dont think that its value is that much bcz i have bought around 10 pants there but all above 3k for a single pant
i think u dint bought it from official store
quality issues with levi 501 jeans, stonewashed and regular
Over the past year, I have had a number of pairs (5-6) of your jeans wear out prematurely, in particular, holes developing in the crotch and the rear pocket ripping out. All of these jeans were well under a year of age and worn no more than once a week, in leisure (not work) situations. I'm not asking for any compensation for this, but alerting you to a quality issue I have found to be unacceptable. I have been wearing levi jeans, exclusively, for over 35 years, but after these issues, I bought my first pair of non-levi brand jeans (duluth traders) to see if I like them better. I would love to be loyal to your brand, but I won't but inferior products. I have attached a few photo's of the quality issues so that you can see what I am referring to. I sincerely hope that you correct your issues and return to producing the quality i've grown to expect.
My step daughter had a pair she got in September and had tearing also. I'll give Levis another shot, but after the 2nd time, I won't buy them anymore!
quality of 501 jeans
I have had 5-6 pairs of 501 jeans, approximately 6-12 months old, develop holes in the crotch and the rear pockets rip away. These jeans are worn weekly, at most, and only for leisure wear, not work dungarees. I have worn levi's exclusively for 35+ years and have noticed a massive decline in quality over the past 18-24 months. I assume they've moved to cheaper material or shoddy manufacturing processes.in any case, for the first time in my adult life, I am buying jeans from another company to see if theirs are a better match, quality-wise. This is a hard decision, as I love 501's, but I will not abide crappy quality.
poor quality shredding ripping jeans
I purchased a pair of levi demi curve jeans that were over 100$ and after four washings and about 7 wearings they have shredding on one seam and a rip on the one leg. I sent an email to levi customer service and they said that I would have to return to the store.
Since they have been worn I refuse to try to return to store. It is an issue of quality of product made which should be the concern of levi strauss. The quality is terrible. Jeans that cost that much should last at least one year of washing and wearing.
I saw a phone number in other levi complaints and I am hoping that might help.

fraud
I've been buying levis for my husband for about 15 years — he works outdoors and wears jeans to work every day, so he goes through maybe a 10-12 pairs a year. I replace them because they get faded or frayed; nothing i'd consider a failure of the jeans.
I got him 2 pairs of 501s — not from an outlet, but from the levis store. Both pairs have shrunk to the point that we had to give them away — they didn't get tighter, they got shorter. I bought them at christmas but he didn't start wearing them until now, and I did not keep the receipts since I "knew" the jeans would fit. The jeans shrank after the first wash and continued to shrink! They shrank so much he looked like michael jackson!
He received a few other pairs of levis (501s, which cost less) and those did not shrink.
I used to consider levis a good value, but having to give away 2 pairs of 501s has soured me. I could buy 14 pairs of a competing brand and avoid the michael jackson look!
someone needs to google the definition of the word "fraud" before using it inappropriately...
faulty product
I procured levis jeans at levis brand store in dubai, located at al khaleej centre in burdubai 3 months back. It worked ok for 2 months now the problem is with the zip it dosent get locked anymore and whenever I sit the zip comes down which is very embarassing. I have lost the trust on levis products and have decided will never go for it again. I have been using giordano before and had never problems like this.
The model is 50 6 w 32 l 32
Please provide me solution for this.

I bought several pairs of jeans for my sons at christmas. Two pairs already have rips in the material - less than a month! One pair along the seam next to the zipper, the other along the seam on the back pocket. And this is not the first time... My family has been wearing levis for over 40 years - I am extremely disappointed. Then I checked the labels -...

Purchased levis jean from jay gee warehouse sale. I had already washed the jean before I wear. But when I first wear levis jean together with branded bag (my newly bought lv bag wore less than 10 times), I shocked levis jean color ran & casue stain on leather of lv bag.
I went to levis asia head office to do a complaint & get some compensation about this. But reception told me to go to jay gee since it is levis distributor in singpaore & they will take care my complaint. But to my suprise, etiher levis asia head office or jay gee distributor didn't take action or compensate the lv bag stain due to their product. They told me it is not manufacturing defect & all the jeans can cause the stain on my bag/ white color cloth. To conclude it is my fault to wear the jean togehter with bag & now get stain on bag due to levis jean. They will give me only s$50 voucher out of good will for my euro 960 (s$ 1750) bag. I denied to take the s$50 voucher since they never take any responsibility for their brand & never mentioned can't wear together with soft color cloth or bag. I feel very upset about this.

I bought these levi 501's a month ago, bought them one size up, wore them six times, washed four times and hung to dry; first the crotch on the left side ripped, then the right side went and yesterrday I bent down to pick something up off the floor and rip, the right knee went out. Oh, and so did the # below the pocket. I'll never spend my hard earned money on a pair of crap levi's again and the company ought to be feeling ashamed enough to do something about it. Apparently not. No scruples-levi's takes our money for low quality wear knowing they have a solid base of loyal customers based on years of true quality. Heres a rip for you, levi's: rest in peace. Hope you go out of business, you deserve it.

I am sick of Levi's Jeans. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and wore Levii's from elementary school through high school, but as of today, no more Levi's for me. I have been a faithful customers for years, but no more. I recently purchased a pair of 505's before Christmas and now in just a little over a month the belt loop has come lose and there is a hole in the fabric. Since Levi's no longer takes pride in the quality of their jeans, I now must pay to have the jeans repaired. Again, . This will be my last pair of Levi's. It's Wrangler's from now in. it's sad to know that Levii's has gone down the tube and does not provide its customers with the same quality it did in the 50's and 60's. Anytime I have a chance I will be vocal about the poor quality of your product.
i bought 3 pair of levi's loose fit jeans and the 3rd time i washed them the seams started coming apart
I have had exactly the same issue as Jenny i have always worn Levis im in the UK i didnt mind paying the extra they cost over other jeans because they use to last forever. I have a couple of pairs that have lasted 15 years! Now that was quality which is why i always bought Levis over cheap chinese junk. However the last two pairs I have had barely lasted 6 months of use and they always wear through on the inside of the leg at the top and then rip. Plus all the seams start to fail.
I had a pair of jeans that didn't fit right and contacted Rosie C. after seeing the reply to Jenny A. and she explained that the 505's had a design change and that was the way they are going to fit from now on. She offered to exchange them to make it right and was very apologetic and helpful. I will continue to be a Levi wearer and want to thank Rosie and Levis for the great service.

Once upon a time you could wear the same levis for 20 years then mail them in for new ones.. But this kind of horrible quality is just pitiful and inexcusable. 2 months for a $50+ pair of #ing jeans in just sickening, levis is nothing more than a money hungry corporation now.. No more name of quality and service. Everyone should contact the better business bureau and formally complain. I won't even bother with a photo because it doesn't seem necessary considering all the damn pictures already on here...

Both of you are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. The new 514's don't last for more than a couple of months before a hole starts developing in the crotch, and the corners of the back pockets start to rip out. Furthermore, this type material doesn't just develop a small rip... it just comes apart into threads... the jeans are unrepairable... When I spend almost $50 bucks a pair I expect them to last at least a year or two at least. Levi's your jeans used to be constructed great, now they're pieces of 5h1t. I have NEVER worn anything but Levi's, but I think I am going to try the Diamond Gussets... I just hope they make a slim fit.
Bought another pair of 514's and once again they tore out in the first week. This time in the knee. Last 2 times along the back pocket and in the crotch. Levis are not worth the money any more...time to find a new favorite jean
just bought a pair the crotch ripped out after wearing them one time this is the last pair ever

My husband has bought 550 levi strauss over the last 15 years. But in the last 3 years he has problems with the clotch ripping out. This is on most of his 550 levi jeans. The jeans still look good everywhere else, but you have a rip in the clotch area-trash time. You can't take them back after you had them a few months. Could you please fix this problem?

selling defected products to the customers
Dear sir/ ma'am,
This is to inform you that i, sujata bhaskar, quality control chemist at rudrapur, uttarakhand request you to kindly take some strict actions against levi's showroom at d1-d2/6, civil lines, near agarsen chowk, kashipur bye pass road, rudrapur (uttarakhand)- 263153,
Ph no: [protected]
Levi's known as one of the finest brands is doing like this, it seems very shocking. I bought a ladies t-shirt for rs.599 from this showroom, I wore it for just one time and it was torn, I complaint it to the showroom owner (mr. K[censored]ij bakshi and satvinder kaur), mr. K[censored]ij bakshi took 2 months to solve my problem and then he told me to exchange the t-shirt, now I just wore the exchanged t-shirt (article no: 85t640002) for 2 times and that was also torn, now I just request you to kindly solve my problem and help me to get my money back because now I just don't trust levi's product and I don't want any t-shirt back now.
I am too much annoyed from this company and the owner (mr. K[censored]ij bakshi) of this showroom at rudrapur, uttarakhand. Please help me out...
I hope you will pay due consideration to my request.
Thanking you.

poor quality
In the past year I have had all 6 pair of 501's purchased at Macy's fail in the exact same manner: First a small hole at the crotch, then RIP wide open at the crotch. I bought 6 pair of blue jeans so I could rotate them. I don't wear them for work, but still they all failed. The seventh pair is black, and so far no hole or rip (yet). Like many others here, I grew up wearing Levi's and never thought I'd switch to another brand. But if every pair are made overseas from thin material likely to fail, what choice do I have? Like others here, I would be willing to pay more for a better quality pair of "Original" Levis. The product they are selling now is DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for Levi's dwindling sales and financial woes. People won't keep buying the red tag, if it's attached to a substandard pair of jeans. I tried the 800# listed here. their closed for training, call back later. I tried the 800# on the Levis.com site: It rings repeatedly, then bounces to the same "We're closed for training" message. Good to know the customer service is every bit as good as the product. I will give them a chance to make it right. If they don't I will tell EVERYONE I KNOW exactly why they should not buy Levi's again.
I am glad to know I am not the only one having this problem! I have lost 5 pairs of Levi's over the past 2 years! They all rip starting from the inside corner of the back pocket and then rip down from 4-14 inches!
My last pair was a newer pair that I wore to my 2nd day on a new job! I was horrified when they ripped! I had to leave work and go buy new ones (WRANGLERS, I have learned my lesson with Levi's) on my break!
This is not a fit or size problem. I have 2-3 different sizes and tight or baggy they rip the same! I purchased them all from Macy's, and they will not return if they have been worn or washed. So, that leaves me stuck with lots of expensive jeans with rips in them that can't be worn.
What is the deal with quality these days. I've worn Levi jeans since I was 12, 51 now. Have 4 pair if 505 jeans with splits down the back pocket area. Impossible to repair. Got a pair if 501 black jeans for christmas, the darn pockets are fold in half and the rivet has it completely closed off. I think I need to switch to Wrangler or some other brand. I figure in the past 39 years of wearing Levi's Jeans has cost me about $3000.00 dollars or more. I guess I a sucker.
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 3RD PAIR OF WOMENS 545 JEANS AND THEY ARE MADE OF CHEAP DENIM, I WILL NOT BUY ANYMORE LEVIS, THEY ARE THIN CHEAP, STRETCH OUT AND DO NOT WASH WELL
Old levi's were the BEST! These jeans would become your favorite pair of jeans until you purchased another pair. But, at least you would buy another pair. Not now! Levi's has decided to take the fat road by adding lycra, spandex anything to make the jeans STRETCH! And for WHAT?... just so girls and women can fit into a size smaller. Holy Cow! Get your butt up and workout! Just because you squeezed into a smaller size does not mean you look good. Don't be fooled! You look poured into your jeans which is not flattering you one bit!
Levi's ROCKED back in the 90's and I don't mean you should wear your jeans as a bust support. I love the low-cut, flare, boot-cut anything other than what we refer to as "MOM jeans!" No one should be wearing those high-waisted jeans. Remember Jessica Simpson in her debut of the high-waisted fad. She got blasted for looking FAT! In style jeans is what changed our lives because WE LOVE JEANS! Jeans are comfy like chocolate chips. Just don't eat to many or you will be wearing spandex.
For Christmas I received a TJMAXX gift card. I was excited and ready to shop...for JEANS! Well, that was a bust. Every pair of jeans I looked at contained lycra, spandex and elastin. I could not find ONE pair of jeans that would fit. I, unfortunately was not blessed with a "BOOTY-POP" and any stretch added even 1% leaves me baggy. Not attractive!
PLEASE give us 100% cotton back in our beloved denim. For those of us who loved our levi's we would like to love you again..bring cotton back in 100% ONLY!
Hi FastDan,
I'm sorry about your jeans, and I'm also sorry that it has taken so long for me to get back to you. Luckily, I can help resolve this issue.
We guarantee all products against manufacturer and material defect.
First, I recommend you try bringing the torn jeans back to Macy's. They may exchange them for you. If that doesn't work, please call our representatives at 1-800-USA-LEVI then press 3. If you can't get through, you can e-mail me directly at cfields2@levi.com.
Thanks for your patience,
Charlie (temporarily filling in for Rosie)

no real jeans for women
Why is it that all the blue jean companies think that women don't need real blue jeans for real work? Everything in the women's section is for all those fashionista's scared to break a phoney ph-ingernail. I'm ashamed to say that even the all-american brand, levi's, no longer make any real jeans for real women who work hard for a living.
Cheap light-weight materials, stupid light-colored twill strings running thru the material, pockets cut off 2" below the opening, ugly worn-look, cuts that make women look like their a sausage stuffed into a casing that's hanging out at the waist, no stitch-sealed seams, etc. I don't want to look like a cheap tramp when i'm trying to do a hard day's work in the field.
The only real jeans made are in the men's or boys department. Women do hard work. We deserve a pair fo jean made as well as men's jeans. Equal jeans for equal work.
Hi Megan,
Thank you for your feedback.
I have some recommendations of jeans that might work for you.

defective jeans
8 months ago I bought a pair of jeans from a levis store in istanbul. I wore it for 7 months and washed it max. 5 times. Then I realized that below the waistband which is the top of the inseam is worn out. I returned it to the store claiming that a pair of jeans can not be worn out in 7 months. They said they were going to do some tests on it to prove the...
