poor service
While waiting at the bar(6:30pm) for 2 other couples to show up, myself and my girlfriend had two drinks each.She had captain and coke and i had cognac.We decided to wait for everyone at a table.Our waiter asked if we were set with drinks and we said we were o.k. for now and i jokingly said i had a little glow but it did not matter because she was driving anyway!When everyone showed up they each ordered a drink including my girlfriend.I did not!At about 7:45pm i asked the waiter for a drink.A few minutes later a manager named Scott approached me and in a odd manner was trying to tell me i was not going to be served another drink.Evidently the bartender and or the waiter because of my joking statement earlier felt that i may have had enough. Note:6ft.3in.300lbs.I then stated to him i understood what he was getting at and said forget the drink.The more i thought about it the more upset i got with the whole situation. The way i was approached in front of our friends was degrading and embarrassing!I also spoke with another manager Patricia, and the bartender wanting to understand why this was done.I understand that establishments have policies and have to be careful when serving customers and i want to make it clear these conversations were always very civil and did not take on any form of disrespect from anyone.Also, i do not understand why my girlfriend was allowed a third drink and i was not. I did find it very difficult to drop the situation because of the embarrassment and it basically ruined my meal and my evening, also upsetting my girlfriend.I want to make it clear that we are regular customers where most of the waiters and waitresses know us. They also know that we are respectable adults and have never had any incidents in probably the 30+ times or more that we have been there since they opened. Unfortunately we do not know if we will ever return!It has definitely left a bad taste in our mouths.Thank you for your time! What can and will be done about this?
awful service
We went into Longhorn's last weekend and the server was awful. We got our meal before drinks, salad, and appetizer. So they took it back and got our drinks. We finally got our appetizer and salad. They had the nerve to bring us back the same food 20 mintues later. So I made a complaint to the manager. So he had them re-cook the food. But what really teed me off was that he did not comp anything off of the bill. So I had to pay full price for bad service. You can say it will be a very long time before I go back there and I told all my friends about the GREAT service I received.
roach on table
My friend and I went to longhorn and a roach came across the table and the manger came out and gave me his card and said to please ask for him the next time we came in. I called him and asked him if I came back would I get a free meal and he said no. I don't think that was right why give us your card if your not going to give us some kind of compensation. I need to know who I need to talk to to get a complementary meal for this incident.
I am so glad I checked this web site before purchasing furniture fix, & I feel badly for those that did!
awful - all service
The service and food at the Mt. Zion location in Georgia is ridiculous to say the least. Everytime I dine there it's a problem. On an off day, I solve this by going to the McDonough location. It's a guaranteed $50 spent because I have the Pork chops with a strawberry salad and my husband has the Porterhouse. His steak is NEVER cooked right the first time. I work right down the street so I started calling before leaving work. How about they NEVER pick up the phone! I was on hold from the the time I called to 15min later when I arrived at the store TWICE in the last week! The last time, I didn't even order what we wanted because 1) I was highly upset that this was the second time in a week and 2)I didn't have time to wait. I could have ordered it though because it took so long to get a salad and a sweet potato that they could have cooked a steak!First time was a slow Friday night at almost 10 pm. Next time was a Wed. afternoon with 1 person at the bar.REALLY?! At our restaurant, if the bartender can't get to the order, you get the host or anyone to take it and walk it to the bartender. When I got there I asked the host if he was the one who put me on hold and his need a new job response was "we're not allowed to take to go orders"! Well how about you ask the bartender why they haven't picked up the phone or get the manager then instead of leaving the phone on hold for 15 minutes!When I got the food home, my husband wouldn't even eat his steak because it was burnt and my pork chops were dry! The funny thing is that both times it was the SAME nice manager and the SAME bartender! I didn't even mention the times that I just said forget it and hung up! Father's Day weekend I had someone pick me up a strawberry salad and it had rotten strawberries on it! I never got that replaced because I work in a restaurant too so I couldn't leave or send anyone back. How about you get a phone like ours that beeps when you leave it on hold for more than 45 seconds so the host will get tired of listening to it and tell the bartender again to pick up? I stopped eating at this location before and said nothing but obviously nothing has changed so I have to stop again.
overcharged - management
We ate at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Brentwood Tennessee. The waitress charged my ticket as well as someone else's ticket to my bank card so my account was charged an extra #83.96. When I caught the mistake and called to complain they sent a credit to my bank which will take at about 7 days to post to my account. Because of their mistake I will be broke until payday but this did not concern them. They only gave me a phone number to call to supposedly talk to the district manager but it turned out to be nothing more than an answering machine. I consider this to be very poor customer service.
deceptive practices
The specific problem regarded the cost vs. size of beverages. There is a 30% difference between the cost of a small draft beer and a large. The physical height of the two glasses is different however the volume is less then 10% greater in the large. This was tested by filling the small glass with water and putting in the large glass. This was brought to the attention of the manager on duty who admitted the company knew about this. If they are doing this with beverages what else are they cutting corners on. They must take their customer for idiots.
horrrible customer service and extra long wait
We went to the longhorn steakhouse in Morrow GA with a group of seven. We were told that our wait would be just a little under an hour. At an hour and fifteen minutes we were told that they will have to split us up. After we agreed to that she comes back about 10 minutes later telling us that it will be another 20 mi.uses. as we were saying that that would be too long she just walked off...in the middle of our sentence. She came back with stable for us. I keep thinking that if we would not have said anything we would has been there another half an hour. Her attitude just made this wholesituation unbearable. To top it all off, they messed up 3 orders without any compensation for our trouble.

Well, it all started when I went out to have a nice dinner with my family and dear friends. The appetizer came out and I thought that the dinner was going to be a pretty good experience. But then we finished our appetizer and the waiter didn't come back for another 20 minutes. Then when he finally passed by our table he didn't even see what we wanted for our main entrée. The service was terrible and I was very upset from that point on. Even though the service was very bad you should still go back because the food was astounding even though the service was bad.

I could not believe how they treated our stuff! It was like a rat race to get us out of the house! They were 2 1/2 hours late and were only to move the furniture and boxes into a truck, they didn't even have to transport it for us. There were holes and scrapes on the walls and our wood floors were scratched up. They even broke one of our wood steps. We told them about the damage and offered photos we took of the damage and receipts for the work to repair the home but they denied causing the damage and said 'it's your word against ours'. They have the BBB symbol on their website, but I can't find them listed on the BBB as being a member. It's all a bad nightmare, I would never want this to happen to anyone else, except maybe the owner and the guys who caused all the damage, then they might see how it feels. They only want your money and have no care in the world for your house, your furniture, your valuables, or you. Stay away!

rip off - charged twice
Around the first of September 2010 my two friends & I went out to eat at Longhorn Steakhouse in Charlotte, NC on Harris Blvd. & Mallard Creek. After eating my girlfriend & I went out to the car while my date paid. Since he was taking awhile I drove around to the front to see him standing there and he said his card was declined, so i went inside to pay. It was around $78 for the three of us so I gave the waiter $90, not a problem as my friend assured me he'd pay me back. Three days later he overdrafted his accouny by $270 and when he called to find out why he found out that he had in fact been charged for the meal! He never signed a slip but was still charged, as of now there has been no resolution! :( I have eaten there twice since with no problem, but I do not suggest getting the ribs, they were awful! (so was the salmon, but it's normally good..?)

My friend and i visited there on Sunday for Dinner being the first time. I ordered Raspberry Tea & Fried Chicken Salad & he ordered a swiss Cheeseburger and fries & water. Our Table was dirty and the floor around the bar was very nasty tissue paper, trash from someone's shoe, peanut hulls all over the floor. My salad was brown and chicken was hard maybe...

My husband and I went to Longhorm Steakhouse for the first time tonight. The food was wonderful and the prices were fine. However, when we got out bill, there was a charge of $50 for our 5 glasses of wine... That is outrageous! I'm sorry, but at $10 a GLASS of wine, we will not be returning. Is there an option to buy a bottle at a lesser price? What's the problem? Someone needs to rethink these prices...
We had to wait 20 minutes for our seats (which is totally acceptable to us). We sat tat the bar and each had a martini... The cost of the martinis was $5.50 a piece... that is an acceptable cost for a martini. Why $10 for one GLASS of wine?

Please everyone should be careful and stop being fooled by all these brokers and account managers. You pick the wine you order. There are wines there as cheap as $5 a glass. Also, most of the wines are available by the bottle. The server isn't going to suggest a bottle when he or she will drive the bill up if you drink it by the glass. Servers are essentially salespeople who work on commission! (You don't think the 2.13 they make an hour pays the bills do you?) Just like in any other situation it is up to you to be a knowledgeable consumer and ask if a bottle is available. It will always be cheaper that way. I guarantee you'll find that to be true at any restaurant out there...don't blame Longhorn for your lack of knowledge.
poor food & service
Me & 3 friends visited your restaurant in Pineville, NC on Saturday November 14, 2009 at 8:45pm. My meal was not good. The filet was dry and chewy. I didn't know that was possible. The steaks were very thin. The food just was not good. Also, our server was rushing us to leave! She asked twice if she could clear away dishes while we were still eating...literally chewing our food! Then offered us dessert while still eating. She even brought us the check while we were still eating our food. As we were leaving, I asked the hostess for a comment card. She said that she didn't have any. Isn't that a sign that something was wrong? Shouldn't she have inquired and even offered to get a manager? Our server was Lisa W. and our check #51058.

I traveled 10 pr 15 miles to order a steakhouse cheeseburger plate for lunch. The young lady told me they was out of hamburger buns until after 3 p.m. a waste of gas and appetite! Don't know why they couldn't have made a quick run to grocery store instead of letting a hungry customer leave unhappy and hungry. Make it make sense!
Every time I order from longhorn something is always missing out of my order it be very frustrating especially when u make it all the way home and notice it’s missing first time my mashed potatoes second time ordered got parm chicken and ribs ribs missing April 22 2023
Tough meat
I placed a order which my check number is 15340 and on both of my orders or spinach dip my chips where so hard that i couldn’t even eat them I have been on hold at the store for the last 25 minutes i asked to speak to a manger and no one has come back to the phone.

It was 9:41 pm closing time I think they rushed my order I got a black steak
ribs where pink and rubber steak was rare leaking blood asked for it med well hubby ate wings until i realized they where raw got sweats and diarrhea stomach cramps took his name and phone number stating Robert Volkert would call my hubby nobody called to follow up on his health after consuming raw chicken left dissatisfied and hungry.

I was called by someone saying I would recieve a 50 dollar gift card for the bad service I recieved an still nothing in my email. I find it impossible that I had waited a full 30 min past the time my food should have been bvb ready and it ccx was served in correct .
The doing away with the lunch combos, no homemade chips or half sandwiches. The combos are especially liked by us senior citizens, we dont always like taking food home with us, we don't need extra meat or chicken on the sandwich. We liked the variety and value of the combo meals.
Went to Longhorn Steakhouse tonight with another couple. In my house salad I found-no kidding- a pebble. Thank heavens I didn't bite down on it or I would have broken a tooth!

I don’t know what state your in, but Tx has a thing called TABC, and they are strict when it comes to that. That was a dumb "joke" on your part to be quite honest. She and these manager could get fined big time, and face jail time. If it came down to you getting your drink on or me going to jail...I would of done the same. Your behavior at the end kinda suggest she made a good call. The company doesn't owe you anything ...you wanted to be funny so here's your funny story.
The owner of the establishment or their assignee's has the right to cut-off anyone from more drinks. That being said, if they're also willing to annoy, patronize and humiliate guests that are "relaxed" after two drinks--they'll soon discover they're in the wrong business. In that situation the person in charge should have been able to detect the "cut-off" point with much greater precision--or--been man enough to re-evaluate the situation; discretely apologize and offer you a free meal. That's what I would have done. I own a business and the customer should always feel they're right--even if they have an "attitude". As long as they're spending money and not degrading another patrons enjoyment--they should be considered "masters" and myself and my staff "slaves".
There's other places out there that want your business. Find 'em!
