I would give Lowcountry Foundation Repair a 0 star rating if I could
I would give Lowcountry Foundation Repair a 0 star rating if I could. They cancelled our appointments twice and when they finally came, they made our standing water problem even worse. Now they're saying it's a "birdbath" issue with the concrete, but none of the people who inspected our patio mentioned that before. They can't do anything else because our concrete is cracking, but they still want full payment.
I'd only give them half a star because they were really good at collecting my money and nothing else
I'd only give them half a star because they were really good at collecting my money and nothing else. Once they have your money, the customer service is out the window. The project manager, ***, is a pro at ignoring the customer. *** is great at customer relations when he hangs *** in your face. The basement waterproofing system they installed in my basement never worked. When you see this company, you better run for the hills or throw away *** dollars like I did :(
After spending over $12,000 to install a drainage system for our foundation wall, we were disappointed to find that the repair still leaked
After spending over $12,000 to install a drainage system for our foundation wall, we were disappointed to find that the repair still leaked after the very first rain. They claimed to have fixed the issue by adding an extra pump, which they initially tried to sell me but ended up installing for free because they realized the job required more than they had estimated. However, even after redoing the entire job, the water still overflowed onto the adjacent walls that had never experienced leaks before. Now they want to charge us an additional $7,000 to waterproof the other two walls that never had any leak problems. These walls were not recommended for waterproofing; they were merely suggested options on the estimate. We were never informed that their repair might cause water overflow onto those walls. This company is clearly trying to deceive customers and should be avoided at all costs.
It was a long road to get to the job completion
It was a long road to get to the job completion. Much longer than ever expected. My rating is based on the following. The interaction with the team was of a professional demeanor throughout. The team met with my plumber concerning the work that was required to assist them in their work. Mr. was the lead in the team that completed the work. His approach from our initial meeting was very professional and courteous. He took time to discuss what would be done to complete the installation. Throughout the installation, he took time to explain what was happening and the expected outcome. Prior to leaving, Mr. went back through the work done, had me check the work inside, and gave brief warranty information. Great customer service from the team. To the team members: Mr., Mr. and ***, thank you. Thank you for giving the time needed to deliver a good job. Attention to detail is very important.
I hired Lowcountry Foundation Repair to put in a sump pump system and a battery backup sump in my basement in ***, ** Sept
I hired Lowcountry Foundation Repair to put in a sump pump system and a battery backup sump in my basement in ***, *** Sept. 2021. But after they finished, there was a bunch of rainwater just sitting in a puddle on the basement floor for days. The new concrete they put around the sump pump system was way higher than the old concrete, so the water couldn't drain into the sump system. The old concrete had a floor drain and was lower, so water would flow into it. I called to complain and sent them some pictures. They sent an inspector who said I should get my concrete guy to make the floor higher where the water was and slope it down towards the sump area! I told him that the new sump area was already too high compared to before. They charged me a ton of money for this job that wasn't done right, and now they want me to spend even more money to fix the concrete floor? They were supposed to fix my basement problem, but it's still not fixed because the sump area is too high for the water to drain into. They never offered to come back and fix the problem after I complained. All they're doing is bugging me to pay them the rest of the money now.

On 01/31/2022, I hired Lowcountry Foundation Repair to fix up my crawlspace
On 01/31/2022, I hired Lowcountry Foundation Repair to fix up my crawlspace. I gave them a deposit of $3,000.00 out of the total cost of $9,170.00 (which included a sump pump and humidifier). The job got finished on 02/28/2022, and I got a Certificate of Completion. I paid the rest of the money I owed. Around 08/05/2022, my crawlspace got flooded. I called the company to use their warranty, but they said nobody could help me for about a month. I told them that the crawlspace was full of water and I was worried about black mold. They didn't pay attention to me. Today, on 09/10/2022, I left another message because the crawl space has flooded again, even though it has never been dry. Can you please assist me in making Lowcountry Foundation Repair honor their warranty and fix the damage caused by their neglect? Thank you.
I paid $2,110 on October 18 to have some repairs done to my home
I paid $2,110 on October 18 to have some repairs done to my home. They said if I pay 20 percent down, I'd save a few hundred dollars. They said they'd contact me in a day or two to schedule the work. They didn't, so I had to reach out to them multiple times to get a date. It's been over 2 months now. I'm in the military and found out I'll be doing training, so I won't be able to be there for the repair. I asked for a refund and they said they could do it, and that I'd be contacted soon. But days went by and I never got a call. I called multiple times and got the same answer, but no call back or refund. I'm really frustrated with this terrible customer service, especially from a veteran and proud active duty military service member. It's really disappointing. All I want is a refund for the amount I put down on this project.
I hired Lowcountry Foundation Repair (LCFR) to level my old house's foundation
I hired Lowcountry Foundation Repair (LCFR) to level my old house's foundation. They gave me two options: one to support the house better and the other, more expensive option, to actually level it. They originally quoted me $11,300, but the final bill ended up being $13,491 without any explanation. However, they did not successfully level the house as there is still a 6" difference in certain areas. The installer mentioned that he thought the perimeter of the house needed support, but he was instructed not to add any jacks there. LCFR also messed up my HVAC pipes and left a mess in my yard. I had to spend $8K to replace my 2-year-old HVAC system. I sent LCFR a letter with pictures taken by my contractor showing the remaining slope in the house, the untouched sagging side of the house, the lack of support on the perimeter, and the trash left in my yard. LCFR came out and acknowledged that the job was poorly done. They added a few jacks and left. I sent another letter because other contractors informed me that the house is still too uneven to install tile. LCFR sent someone else who agreed that the job was insufficient and that the perimeter of the house definitely needed support. However, on 1/25/22, LCFR sent me an invoice for $8,780 to complete the job they were supposed to do correctly the first time. I was under the impression that my house would be leveled for the $13,491 I already paid. Instead, they did a half-hearted job and now want to charge me for the necessary corrections. Additionally, I should not have had to replace my HVAC system. I paid a contractor to disconnect the pipes as LCFR requested, but they completely ruined it. I would like LCFR to finish the job without charging me or provide a partial refund (at least 35% of what I paid) so I can hire someone else to complete the job.
