Fraud
In March of 2013 I was in contact with a breeder named Tessa Kriesel for a golden retriever puppy. After I sent a deposit of $500 she cashed it immediately and we did not hear from her again until the end of May. We were told the puppies had been born the saturday before and that we should be able to pick up the puppies July 2013. It got really hard for her to give me a date of pick up or how we were going to pick them up. In June she emailed saying it was time to pick puppies from pictures she had sent vis emial, I thought these were the real puppies at the time but later found out they were of an old litter. As it got to be the week before pick up she emailed out saying the litter got sick with Parvo and they caught it at the Vets office while getting shots. She did not tell us what puppies had lived or died or how many. A week later she said 3 had died and still would not say which ones. After sending her 3 emials I told her I want out money back and she refused saying I will get a puppy. After some argueing I tried to call her and it was some man who had never heard of her on the phone. She took down her website but was still emailing me saying she was getting me a puppy, the puppies were suppose to be home from the vet already and be ready for pick up and now I can not get in contact with her. I want my money back and I don't think I am going to get it until I press chrages on her and go through a collection agency my family owns. Please don't fall for this fraud!

Stolen Puppy Deposit
I found Tessa Kriesel’s dog breeding website (http://luckystargoldens.com/) and contacted her in March of 2013 in regards to adopting a golden retriever puppy. I reserved a female puppy and sent her a check for a puppy deposit in the amount of $500.00. Tessa cashed that check immediately. She notified me the puppies would be born any time after May 15, 2013. I did not hear anything from Tessa for a while and after several weeks I was informed that the puppies were born. I did not receive any puppy pictures until June 10, 2013 (even though she informed me she was very good at sending emails and picture updates, almost daily). I later found that these pictures were from a previous litter in October of 2012, leading me to question the authenticity of this claimed litter. I did not receive any more email updates and her website was not updated once throughout this process. On June 24th I received another email with pictures, stating it was time to pick our puppy. I picked out a girl and I was told by Tessa that I could pick up the puppy any time after July 13th. On July 9th, Tessa finally confirmed I could pick up our puppy on July 14th. Numerous times I tried to get a phone number and home address from Tessa so I could plan to pick up my new puppy. Tessa neglected to provide this information through emails. Finally, I received a phone number from her. I tried calling it multiple times but it just continued to ring and there was no voicemail. She never returned my calls. Later in the day on July 9th, Tessa emailed me saying that 5 of the 10 puppies had been admitted to the vet for Parvo (a flu-like virus that affects dogs and can be fatal for puppies); informing me that we would not be able to pick up our puppy. However, she told me my puppy was healthy and full of energy when we asked for the phone number for the vet that she used. Tessa would not provide the vets contact information or send me a picture of my puppy with a dated piece of paper in the picture to confirm there was a puppy. I called multiple vets in her area, none of which knew about any Parvo outbreak or have heard of Lucky Star Goldens or Tessa Kriesel. I requested a refund and she finally mailed me a check that I received on July 19th. I cashed the check and was notified on July 24th by my bank that the check was returned because Tessa put a stop payment to the check. Tessa Kriesel has 500 dollars of my money, and I do not have a golden retriever puppy as I was promised. Do not trust this woman. She stole my money and she will likely steal yours too.

As of this week, Tessa has repaid my entire deposit. It sounds like she is on a good path for her personal and professional life now and I wish her the best of luck in her future.
Tessa has over $500 of my money as well. I paid her a deposit in March to create a website for my biz. She agreed to have it up and running by the end of May, but one excuse after another and I all I have is a domain name worth $10. Most people do require a deposit to start work on a website and or hold a puppy, but most people also deliver the goods as agreed upon for the deposit. I even met with Tessa Kriesel in person to make sure she existed and discussed my project with her... I think we should all go in and pursue a group legal process to get our deposits back for the puppy scam and the website dev't scam as she will continue to do this to others who do not look for these complaints. Call me at my other biz at Rustic River Trading Co. in Emily, MN - [protected] - Laura; leave a message if I am not there and I will get back to you.
She took our money as well!
Puppy deposit fraud
We were anxiously anticipating picking up our healthy puppy from Tessa this July 2013. However instead we have been informed the puppy would not be available as all the puppies (10 in total) are at the veterinarian for parvo virus infection.
Since she informed us of this issue, we have received one update that three of the puppies have passed away and we can "adopt" any surviving puppy for a reduced fee. We wrote a reply to Tessa stating that we understand this is a difficult time, however, we have contacted a different breeder that has healthy puppies available and have requested our $500 puppy deposit back. Since we have written this email, she has pulled down her website and is no longer answering her phone.
We currently feel duped. We wonder if the ten puppies have ever existed and if she is just stringing us along. BEWARE of this site!

Tessa repaid my website deposit. She paid me $250 about a year and a half ago, and this week she paid me another $276 which was the remainder of my deposit.
Everyone a part of this litter is receiving refunds and Laura has agreed on a settlement for partial refund even though more hours were done to her project than what had been paid for to ensure the situation was resolved.
Norman Family - please call me at [protected] Laura Odegaard - leave a message if I am not there. There is a sizeable group of us working together to resolve this.
I hired Tessa Kriesel of Lucky Star Goldens/Tessa Kriesel Designs in early March to develop a website for my business (her other business is supposedly web development). I gave her a $540 deposit and all I have so far is my $10 domain registration which she gave me only after I posted a complaint on this website...My e-commerce website was suppose to be up and running per our agreement by the end of May, but it has been one excuse after another including her child in the hospital, and has been a lot of extra work on my part to attempt to get her to reply, respond, do work, etc. Unfortunately I cannot believe anything she tells me since it has been promise after promise to deliver work to me and basically lies since she has not come through on anything. She recently told me she would stop work on my project and send me a disc with what she has done so I can have someone else complete my website. I want my money back, not her work, which I expect to be useless if anything at all at this point. If you would like to pursue the legal process with me please google my place of business, Rustic River Trading Company for the phone # and call me - Laura - leave a message if I am not there as I do travel for my biz a lot. Not sure if I can post a phone number here or I would. I think we have a better chance of getting our money back if we try as a group as Tessa is obviously pulling scams in multiple businesses and the attorney general does not like that.
I am also going through the same thing with Tessa and I have not receieved any money back and until yesterday she was still in contact with us and now she is not responding to anything. How did you go about getting your deposit back? I completely agree as well that she has been dragging us along this whole time.
The Norman family, I too went through the same situation with Tessa Kriesel, hoping to receive a puppy in July 2013. I agree with everything you said in your complaint and feel the same way. I wanted to let you know that after numerous emails and one bounced check we finally received a full refund today through a money order. I would continue to email, write complaints, call or contact authorities until you receive your refund. She guaranteed you a healthy puppy and you did not receive one and she still has your money, which is illegal. I am glad you found a new trustworthy breeder with healthy puppies and wish you the best of luck with your refund.
Parvo can be fatal, especially in puppies. It is also very contagious, however it is very unlikely that all 10 dogs of a litter would become infected. You are being lied to. I am a vet in White Bear Lake, MN btw. I hope you get your money back.

Took Deposit and Never Delivered Work
Tessa Kriesel advertises two businesses she owns. One of her businesses is for dog breeding Golden Retrievers and the other is her Web Development service. I hired her to develop a website for my jewelry business. She was very professional at first and communicated with me in a very timely manner, answering my questions in a positive manner, and then...

I'm not sure if you are supplying a web source for a Minnesota Kennel called Luckystar Goldens out of Bachus MN. The breeder is pulling scams, claiming that she bred her golden retriever ,Brandy, to a reliable breeder's dog from Shell Kennel. She asks for a puppy deposit and then does not supply any puppies. In fact she never bred the dog to the sire...
