Avoid Maple Leaf Photo: Horrible Customer Service & Non-Delivery of Product
I recently bought a video production item online from Maple Leaf Photo. It cost me $1,500, but I choose it over another online store because it was $13 cheaper. It was a decision I now regret.
After more than a week passed by, I still hadn't received any shipping or tracking information about the order. I sent numerous emails to their customer service, but received no response. So, I decided to call them. But each time, no one answered my queries.
Every time I called, someone different picked up my call; they all promised to call me back, speak to their manager, or solve the problem immediately. Sadly, none of those promises worked. They either hung up or told me that they had no idea what was going on with my order. It was nothing short of frustrating.
Finally, one gentleman admitted that he didn't know what was going on with my order, apologized, and agreed to give me my money back, but he didn't. I had to resort to getting PayPal involved and asked them to refund my money, which took 15 days, and now I'm filing a complaint against Maple Leaf Photo.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy anything from this 'company,' irrespective of how cheaply they list the product. It's just not worth the trouble.
Sincerely,
Adam.
Maple Leaf Photo Review: Terrible Service, Fraudulent Company, and Disappointing Delivery Time
So, I recently made a purchase from a website called Maple Leaf Photo (mapleleafphoto.ca) for a lens that I had been eyeing for a bit. After completing my order online, I decided to give them a call to see how long delivery would be, as I had paid $30.00 for expedited delivery. A person on the other end of the line assured me that the order would be taken over to shipping immediately.
However, four days had passed since then, and I had yet to hear anything about my order. I finally received an email with a UPS Tracking number for the item which indicated that it was shipping from the USA. Initially, I had placed my order on Dec-13-2021 and was promised a delivery of 3-5 days since I paid extra for that expedited delivery. However, when I looked at the tracking number, it displayed that delivery would not be until Dec-29-2021 - that's a whopping 16 days, and it's not even guaranteed that it will happen.
After reading some awful reviews, I'm worried that I'll receive something in a white box that is probably broken and not what I paid for. To be safe, my next step was to contact Mastercard, and they assured me that I would be refunded in full on my card if the item ever arrived in bad condition or was not what the website advertised. Anyone who paid cash would not receive any refund from these scamming fraudsters, unfortunately.
In my opinion, Maple Leaf Photo is a terrible and fraudulent company that should not be operating in a Country as reputable as Canada. For those thinking of making purchases from this company, please think twice, or simply look for better alternatives. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
Poor Customer Service and Handling of Refunds at Maple Leaf Photo
I recently made a big purchase from Maple Leaf Photo, spending over $4,000 on a mirrorless camera and lenses. They suggested that I also buy a battery and memory card, which I did, but I ended up wanting to return the battery shortly after purchasing it. However, they refused to refund my money right away, saying that I needed to receive the product first before being able to return it.
I was quite surprised and frustrated by this response. I had just spent a large amount of money with them, yet they were unwilling to refund a small purchase like this. I argued that it was only $60, so why couldn't they just give me my money back? They finally agreed to refund me, but it was only after I threatened to take action with my credit card company.
To make matters worse, when I received the refund, it was only for $60 without tax. I had specifically asked them to include the tax in the refund, but they had ignored my request. When I asked for a receipt for the refund, they told me that they couldn't provide one.
Their attitude throughout this whole ordeal was very disappointing. When I called to inquire about the tax, they acted like it was no big deal and seemed annoyed that I was asking about it. I don't think I'll be shopping with them again after this experience. It's not worth dealing with their unhelpful customer service and careless handling of refunds.
Scam Alert: Maple Leaf Photo Review - Unreliable service and empty promises
Recently, I made an order with Maple Leaf Photo (mapleleafphoto.ca) for a camera that I needed to use for an upcoming marketing event. The salesman was quick to inform me that the camera was in stock and would be shipped out on the same day. However, after waiting for five days, I noticed that I had not yet received a tracking number and decided to give them a call.
To my annoyance, I was told that the camera had been sent from a different warehouse to their location, and this was the reason for the delay. Despite this setback, I was still interested in acquiring the camera and agreed to wait a little while longer. The salesman assured me that he would personally take care of my order and message me the tracking number as soon as it shipped out.
Another four days passed without any updates from Maple Leaf Photo. I called the customer service once again, but the same story was relayed to me. A refund was out of the question as far as they were concerned since I was already past the deadline when I needed the camera. Frustrated, I made several calls but was unable to get through to anyone.
Finally, after a few more attempts, I managed to get through to them. I asked for a refund, and they put me on hold for what felt like an eternity. After no response, I hung up the phone with no reassurance of any refund or even a response from anyone.
When searching online for more information about this company, I came across multiple bad reviews that expressed similar situations to mine. The communication had been poor, and customers often only got empty promises from the sales associates. As a result of this terrible experience, I would advise anyone interested in purchasing anything through this company to be very cautious. The customer service is subpar, and the promises made cannot be depended on. I believe this place is a total scam!
Beware of Maple Leaf Photo: A Scam Review of Their Website and Customer Support Experience
Oh boy, let me tell you about my experience with Maple Leaf Photo! You do NOT want to buy from them - trust me, it's a scam!
First off, their website is mapleleafphoto.ca. Sounds legit, right? Wrong. The address they have listed (10229 Cote de Liesse Dorval, QC H9P 1A3) doesn't even exist! Instead, there's some company producing health products there. Sketchy, right?
And get this: they're not even registered with Quebec Enterprise or Canada Enterprise. So, are they even a real company?
Now, let's talk about getting in touch with these scammers. They have a phone number on their website (***-***-***), but good luck actually getting someone to answer. It's a Quebec phone number, which seems like it would be easy enough to contact...but it's not.
And to make matters worse, the phone number associated with their bank transaction information (***-***-***) also doesn't answer! So, if you need customer support or have a problem with your order, good luck trying to reach them.
But, let's talk about my personal experience. I made a purchase from Maple Leaf Photo and they told me everything was good to go. They even created a shipping label and said they shipped the item. But, surprise surprise, they never actually sent it! I contacted Canada Post and they confirmed that the item was never shipped. It's like these scammers were just lying to me the whole time!
And here's the really frustrating part: they charged my credit card right away - they don't wait until they actually ship the item. So, if you do decide to buy from them, make sure you're ready to hand over your money with no guarantee of actually getting what you paid for.
Now, I'm not one to just take this lying down. I've filed fraud claims with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and my bank. It's just not right that these scammers can get away with taking people's hard-earned money like this.
So, save yourself the hassle and just don't buy from Maple Leaf Photo. It's not worth the risk.
MapleLeafPhoto.ca Scam Alert: A Terrible Experience with Dishonest Practices
I had a terrible experience with MapleLeafPhoto.ca. I wanted to purchase a Canon Lens over the phone and they convinced me they had it in stock. They made promises that I would receive it within 5 days and provided me with a UPS tracking number. I was excited to receive my purchase, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience.
Upon tracking my package, I found out that only a label was created and there was no such item shipped by them. I was concerned and had to contact MapleLeafPhoto about the confusion. They insisted that the product was in custom clearance by UPS and it is going to be delivered soon. This made my belief that something was not right at their end.
I went ahead and contacted UPS and that's when I discovered that the whole thing was a scam. UPS said they would have known if the item was in custom clearance, but they haven't received anything. This news made me furious and heartbroken.
Feeling cheated, I contacted MapleLeafPhoto to cancel my order, but they kept delaying it, not giving a final resolution. Every time I talked to their customer support, they transferred me to different extensions with no solution. Besides, they claimed that they had canceled the order and I should expect an email confirmation, which never came.
To make matters worse, I checked their online reviews and found the same kind of issue with almost all of their customers. This proved my suspicion that MapleLeafPhoto was intentionally scamming people.
Finally, I discovered that their Visa transaction refers to a company in the United States. But, they never disclose that items are being shipped from the US and not their local warehouse in Dorval (Montreal), where they claim to be based.
All in all, I was extremely disappointed by my experience with MapleLeafPhoto.ca. They promise to have great products in stock and ship them quickly, but this is not the case. They are manipulative and dishonest with their clients, and it is clear that they are running a scam. So, be careful while dealing with them, and avoid purchasing from MapleLeafPhoto.ca at all costs.
Maple Leaf Photo Review: Mixed Feelings On Their Website and Product
Just got a lens from Maple Leaf Photo's website and let me tell you, I'm not sure about this one. The lens came in a white box, which I'm pretty sure means it's a "white box" product, but that wasn't mentioned on the website. Why not just be upfront about it?
Another thing that bothered me is that they didn't include a receipt or copy of their warranty. How am I supposed to prove I bought it if I don't have a receipt? All I have is my credit card statement, and my credit card isn't too happy about that. Speaking of which, the transaction on my statement is listed as US-based... aren't they supposed to be a Canadian company?
But the real kicker is that I can't even leave a proper review on their website. Where did all those other reviews come from then? And when I tried to call them, the line was always busy.
On the bright side, the lens does seem to work okay so far. But I'm taking it to a third party to get it verified because I just don't know if it's legit. I gave them three stars because at least it arrived fairly quickly, but I'm skeptical about this company overall.
Warning: Terrible Experience with Maple Leaf Photo - Don't Waste Your Time!
Got myself a Nikon mirrorless camera from Maple Leaf Photo. To my disappointment, they sent me the wrong one. I sent it back and was promised an exchange, but I had to wait for a whole month before I heard back from them. I had to get in touch with the company by myself and their replies were not good - short and poorly constructed. I was on the phone for about 2 hours with different representatives, exchanged multiple emails, had to go to the post office to ship the wrong camera back, and after waiting for a month, I still had to reach out to Maple Leaf for an update. They ended up refunding me without any explanation whatsoever.
I called them up again and that's when they told me that the camera I wanted was discontinued and they didn't have any in stock. The supervisor I spoke to was downright unprofessional and rude, but I remained calm throughout the conversation. He kept on sighing and saying "ummm" a lot, and then finally admitted that he couldn't do anything else for me. It was embarrassing and quite frustrating. Maple Leaf Photo clearly has no control over their inventory and they lack the skills to communicate properly with their customers.
I'm warning you all, do not waste your time with this company. They don't care about their customers and their unprofessionalism is a joke. If I had purchased the camera I wanted from somewhere else, I would have had it by now. I already spent time and effort researching about it and getting to know how to use it, and now I can't even find it elsewhere to repurchase. Maple Leaf Photo is a terrible company and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Maple Leaf Photo Review: Missing Items and Frustrating Customer Service Experience
Recently I done ordered a couple drone knick-knacks from Maple Leaf Photo (came up to roughly $500). Ain't never shopped with them afore. Paid via PayPal. One of the items was a real humdinger of a package deal containing about ten doodads for the DJI Spark drone. Took about 3 ta 4 days fer Maple Leaf Photo ta send the dang thing out. I guess that's aiight, not the quickest, not the slowest, ya know? But then, fellers, a real doozy of a thang happened when the order arrived. The package deal was plum pitiful: five of them thangs was mysteriously missin'. So, I called them customer service folks and they done responded a woman. She tol' me she was sorry and they would ship the missing items floppin' quick like. But, dern it, it been days and no items, nor shipping notice, came in sight. So I rung them back up for the second time. Long time on hold, but then I spoke ta Dwayne. He said there weren't no notice of my first call and there weren't no additional items bein' shipped. So I had to explain the situation fer the second time. Dwayne then said they would send the items and that I would get a shipping notice real soon like. But here we is, four days later, and still no shipping notice. So, I rung them up again for the third time. Spoke with a woman named "Larsa", and she did verify the chat with Dwayne. But she still said that there was nothin' shipped ever. Then Larsa said the items weren't in stock before, but they were now and they would ship them pronto. She assured me that a shipping notice would be served up faster than a shot of whiskey. That was yesterday mornin', and now I'm on the phone fer a fourth time, been on hold for 40 dad-gum minutes, still waitin' to talk to someone, any-freakin'-one. So y'all bet I've used my time wisely and done wrote up this review of my experience with Maple Leaf Photo for y'all to peruse and consider before you shop with them. So flippin' frustrating, fellers.
Maple Leaf Photo review: Terrible Service and Unacceptable Delays costing me holiday memories
I gotta say, Maple Leaf Photo isn't exactly the kind of business that inspires confidence. My own experience dealing with them has been an absolute bloody nightmare from beginning to end. Here's what happened. I ordered a bundle of camera gear worth nearly $3,200 on August 29th, and made it clear to the sales team that I needed it delivered before September 18th because I was jetting off on holiday then. They gave me the usual lip service about how it would be shipped right away and that I'd have it within 2-3 days, no sweat.
Lemme tell ya, that was the start of a long and convoluted saga that left me tearing my hair out with frustration. A dozen days ticked by, and still nothing had arrived in the mail. I checked my email and mailbox every day and saw nada. After calling them up several times, I discovered that they never bothered to send me any notification that my payment hadn't gone through and that my order was cancelled. Talk about being unprofessional, man. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt and provided alternate card details, and was told that the camera would be sent out right away, with a tracking number to follow.
No such luck, amigo. Not a peep out of them, no email confirmation or anything. So of course, I called them up again and was bounced around from one department to another like a damn yo-yo. Finally, after repeated attempts to get some answers, I was told that the item had not yet been shipped out. By this point, I was so frickin' mad I could barely contain myself. But I bit my lip and waited patiently for them to send me the tracking number and let me know when the order would be fulfilled.
As you may have guessed, that didn't happen either. I finally received an email with a tracking number, but it turned out to be useless because the camera was being shipped from the US. So, next thing I know, Tuesday rolls around and I'm still empty-handed. I called them up again and was told that my order would arrive by Friday - the DAY before I was supposed to leave on vacation. It's like they were doing this on purpose, man.
Suffice to say that I have never encountered such a dreadful online shopping experience in my entire life. Sure, it's supposed to be easy and convenient, but in the case of Maple Leaf Photo it was anything but. I've wasted so much time, energy, and effort dealing with these jokers, and I still don't even have the damn camera I paid for. You'd be better off buying your gear somewhere else, trust me.

Disappointing Service: My Experience with Maple Leaf Photo
So, let me tell you about my experience with Maple Leaf Photo. Now, let me start by saying that I was pretty surprised when I first talked to the owner on the phone, because I thought it was an old lady at first! Turns out it was a guy who, y'know, didn't really seem all that thrilled to be doing his job. But hey, maybe it was just a bad day or something.
Anyway, I ended up ordering something from their website, and was told that it would take about a week to get here. Except, now it's looking like it's gonna be closer to two weeks! I tried contacting them to check on my order, but I haven't heard anything back yet, and it's been more than three days now.
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with the whole experience. Don't think I'll be coming back here anytime soon.
Maple Leaf Photo - Shady Business Practices: A Cautionary Tale
Yo, so listen up. If ya need something from Maple Leaf Photo, make sure to call ahead and see if they actually have it in stock. I was in desperate need of a patch cable and they were the only ones showin' an 'in stock' checkmark. Figured I hit the jackpot, right? Wrong. Been a whole freakin' month and still no cable. Turns out, they had to special order that bad boy just like everyone else.
I just got off the horn with their customer service and let me tell ya, they were clueless. When I straight up told them what they did was underhanded, the woman actually agreed with me! Can you believe it? And then she asked if there was anything else she could help me with. Like, seriously? That's supposed to make everything okay?
Let me give ya the straight-up truth: these guys are super shady. So if you're planning on getting something from 'em, make sure ya call ahead or risk gettin' screwed like I did.
Disappointing experience with Maple Leaf Photo: Missing gear and poor customer service
So I made a huge purchase from Maple Leaf Photo a while back and boy was I excited for it to arrive! But then two weeks went by and there was no package in sight. Finally, the gear arrived but it was missing a few items and some of them weren't anything like what I saw in the pictures on the website. Wasn't happy about that at all.
So, I decided to reach out to their customer service over a month ago to ask about the missing gear and wouldn't you know it, they said they'd send them right away.. but still haven't gotten them. Starting to really lose faith in their ability to follow up. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever use them again. Even if their prices were good! Just not worth the hassle. Honestly, this outfit seems pretty shady to me and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the positive reviews were fake. So y'all be careful!

Unreliable and Unprofessional: My Experience with Maple Leaf Photo
This week was a total disaster thanks to Maple Leaf Photo. I decided to order a full camera kit for a job I have next week, and let me tell you, it was not a pleasant experience. I mean, the ordering process went fine, but it all went downhill from there.
I was promised that my items would be guaranteed for this week, and when I tried to confirm my delivery, I got the runaround from several rude folks. And then, to top it all off, they told me that the camera I ordered was supposed to be used (it absolutely wasn't) and that they couldn't sell used products to new clients.
At first, they claimed they would provide me with a new, lesser substitute. But then, they even backtracked on that promise, leaving me completely screwed over. I mean, what kind of company doesn't know what they're doing and doesn't even care about their customers?
All in all, I would advise anyone out there to stay away from Maple Leaf Photo. They're completely unreliable and honestly seem like they're just out to mess with their customers. Don't make the same mistake I did - you'll only end up regretting it.
Disappointing Experience as a New Customer of Maple Leaf Photo: Inaccurate Stock Levels and Slow Delivery
My experience with Maple Leaf Photo (mapleleafphoto.ca) as a new customer, was not great. When I called to inquire about the availability of a product, my very first question to Peter was whether Maple Leaf Photo takes orders for items that are not in stock, and whether they have a practice of selling items that are not available in the market, as suggested by the reviews I had read. Peter replied that my item was in stock and available for delivery. So, I went ahead and made my purchase, believing that I would receive the order within a week or so, given that I was based in Ottawa and Maple Leaf Photo is located in Montreal.
However, after a waiting period of 13 days, I was informed that my order was finally being shipped. It seems that the company's definition of "in stock" means that the item is available at one of their many warehouses around the country or even across the globe.
Overall, I was disappointed with my first experience as a customer. Maple Leaf Photo needs to be more transparent about their stock levels and delivery times to avoid misleading customers. Additionally, their customer service could be improved to ensure that customers are given up to date and accurate information at all times.
Despite my experience, the product itself arrived in good condition, and I am satisfied with its quality. However, I would be hesitant to recommend Maple Leaf Photo to others based on my experience. I hope that they take the necessary steps to improve their services and avoid disappointing more customers.
Terrible Customer Service: A Review of Maple Leaf Photo
Stay away from Maple Leaf Photo if you don't want to deal with the hassle. Even though they may offer deals, I suggest spending the extra $20 somewhere else. It was a mistake for me not to go to a more trustworthy company. Don't expect any customer service, they're just inconsistent and unhelpful. Don't believe what they tell you, even if it's an email confirmation, because it doesn't actually confirm anything. The wait time is long too, I still haven't received my items after a month. Getting a refund or a cancellation is a real pain too, I had to call every day for 3 days in a row and got a different answer each time. It's so frustrating.
Unreliable Warranty Repair Service: My Disappointing Experience with Maple Leaf Photo
Last August, I decided to try out Maple Leaf Photo's online store, mapleleafphoto.ca. I was in the market for a new camera and opted to purchase the Canon Power Shot G7. Since I wanted to make sure I was covered in case anything happened, I also got the three-year extended warranty.
Everything seemed fine until I tried to use the camera this March. The shutter was stuck and wouldn't retract, which made it impossible to take any photos. I knew it was time to reach out to Maple Leaf Photo to make use of the warranty and get it repaired.
Boy, do I wish I hadn't bothered. I mailed back the camera for warranty repair and waited patiently for updates from Maple Leaf Photo. However, an entire month went by without any word from them. When the camera was finally returned to me, I was disappointed to find that it hadn't been repaired at all. Talk about a waste of time!
Naturally, I was upset about this turn of events. I tried emailing them to complain, and the response I got was to "call us". Of course, there was no phone number provided, so I had to research and find it myself. When I finally called the customer service number posted on their website, I was greeted with canned music and the promise of someone coming on the line soon.
Well, let me tell you, I spent hours on that phone and never spoke to a single soul. I wasn't a happy camper, and I regretted my purchase. I just want to warn everyone that if you think Maple Leaf Photo is going to help you when something goes wrong with your purchase—think again! They don't seem to care about their customers or the quality of their products.
So, bottom line: I had an extremely bad experience with Maple Leaf Photo and do not recommend them. I'm hoping this review will save someone else the trouble and aggravation I went through.
Unreliable and Disappointing: My Experience with Maple Leaf Photo
I just purchased a bundle package from Maple Leaf Photo (mapleleafphoto.ca) for my son's birthday and let me tell you, it was a real hassle. I saw on the site that they had the product in stock, so I went ahead and placed the order. However, one month passed and I still hadn't received anything. So I decided to give them a call to figure out what was going on. The person on the phone told me that they were out of stock and that they would be restocking soon. They said I should expect to receive my order within a week or two.
I patiently waited for the next two weeks, but there was still nothing. I checked the site again and it still said they had stock. So I reached out to them through a message to see what was going on. It's now been seven weeks since I placed my order and I still don't have anything. My son's birthday has already come and gone and I am left empty-handed.
Just this morning, I received an email from them saying that they had canceled my order and that I would be reimbursed within one to five days. I am just hoping that they are telling the truth this time. The fact that they seemed to lie about everything else makes me doubt if I will ever get my money back.
My advice to anyone considering purchasing from Maple Leaf Photo is to look elsewhere. They don't seem to have their act together and are not reliable. You don't want to end up waiting for weeks and not receiving anything. Save yourself the headache and find a more reputable company to purchase from.
Nightmare Experience with Maple Leaf Photo: Missing Items and Refund Issues
So I went and got me the Canon 80d package from Maple Leaf Photo and decided to add on a Rode microphone. When the package finally arrived, imagine my surprise when I found out that the Rode microphone ($249.99) and the 75-300mm Lens that was part of the package were missing. I was told that I should receive both items in two weeks. But guess what happened? THREE MONTHS and counting, there was still no sign of the Rode microphone and lens.
I spoke to three different people about this issue and all of them promised to call me back as soon as they got an update. But no one did. I was left hanging and had to constantly follow up with them. Finally, they decided to just refund me. But what's really ridiculous is that I only received a $350 refund! I mean, come on! The lens alone is worth $249 on their site, and so is the Rode microphone. I was supposed to receive a total of $562.74 CAD, not just $350.
Honestly, dealing with Maple Leaf Photo was such a nightmare. They were so unprofessional in how they handled my order and just downright sketchy. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and buy from somewhere else.
Disappointing Experience with Maple Leaf Photo: Wrong Camera Model, Rude Customer Service, and False Advertising
I placed an order for the Nikon D5300 bundle at Maple Leaf Photo and boy was I disappointed from the start. They had told me that the order had been shipped but then two days later, I received a call from them trying to sell me extra batteries. Even after I politely declined, the person on the line hung up on me mid-sentence. Talk about rude customer service!
When the package finally arrived, I was shocked to find that they had sent me a D3500 instead! I immediately called them up and arranged to send the camera back so that they could send the correct one. However, it has already been six long days since they received the camera and I have not heard anything back from them.
Feeling thoroughly frustrated, I decided to give them a call three days after they received the camera. However, all they said was that they would send me an email when they send it and yet, still nothing from them three days after that call. I don't think I'll ever purchase anything from Maple Leaf Photo again.
Adding salt to the wound, the bundle came with a bag which they described as large but it was barely a medium-sized bag. I could barely fit the camera and a small lens in there. What a disappointment!
