compressor
Purchased a Mastercraft compressor a few years back and the regulator gauge piece is broken. Do not have manual to get the exact code for piece needed to be replaced. Called Mastercraft to order piece. First call lady accidently hung up!
Second call, after trying to explain what piece needed to be replaced (we do have model number) lady explained she did not know exactly what piece was broken and did not want to send us wrong piece. She would send the manual by email within 10 to 15 minutes. Waited 24 hours and no email and called back. This lady said it could take 2 days to receive email.
Really!
Desired outcome: Some decent service please. All I want is to order the piece for this compressor that I must add barely used.
This complaint is from Canada
Drill/driver
I always buy master craft power tools for their reputation and lifetime waranty ; my mastercraft Drill and Compat power tool failed, I do not have the reciept ; I took it to Canadian Tire at regent in winnipeg and the lady said you need the reciept to verify less than 3 yrs purchase and she could not find a smillar replacement, she did not care when I said I will not buy master craft any more, what should I do?
Poor customer service
Purchased a special order door. Door arrives and has a cracked damaged door jamb and a nail from brick molding naile the the top of door.
Contacted customer service and get tossed around to multiple people and send them pictures of door that they requested and have heard nothing back from them
So typical of a menards company. A garbage product with a higher quality of customer service!
Desired outcome: Requested payment for the damaged molding and doir repair. But as always no response because they have the money.
Warranty
I purchased a mastercraft 1/2" torque wrench from canadian tire with a lifetime warranty.
The tool was used for tire changes on 2 vehicles twice a year for 7 to 10 years
approx and then the ratchet failed. I returned it to CT and was given a replacement with no issues except that the warranty was now for only 1 year.
I phoned and complained to mastercraft and was told they no longer made that
model so there was nothing they could do. I asked what lifetime warranty meant
and they said it meant the lifetime of the tool. So that means using 10 to 20 times and that means its lifetime is over. My opinion is the tool was poorly designed and was failing often so they changed model #'s so they didnt need to honour lifetime warranty. Snap on warranty is for life. Craftsman warranty is for life. Mastercraft lifetime warranty is until it fails and maybe one year after that.
I think Mastercraft should honour their lifetime warranty for life or don't offer a warranty at all. I need some satisfaction in this or off to Sears or RonaI will go
Desired outcome: A replacement tool with a lifetime warranty, clarification of the meaning of lifetime warranty and who gets to decide.Or at least my money back
Bi-metal hole saw set
I gave this item to my girlfriend and she was happy.
She makes bird houses and all was fine until we started experiencing problems with the center drill bit.
The first thing was.. they fall out during a project when in fact they are tightened to their limit.
Second, on bit 'broke' during a project. It simply broke into 2 pcs.
I had the original receipt for the item and the local Canadian Tire wasn't able to replace the 'exact' bit but instead gave me one that was shorter. They stated that it was their 'only' remedy.
Using it today with a different drill bit included in the kit, it FELL out again.
She has limited products to cut her holes in and she's frustrated.
What can be done to fix this and is anyone experiencing the same?
Thank you.
18 volt drill 54-288-3 charger (1426201) , battery 2. [protected]
I bought this years back I kept one battery on charge, I hardly used this drill I don't really fix anything I pay people to fix. Makes my wife angry but I am not into garage hobbies but I do not like being duped. One battery stopped charging 2 or 3 years back .off to my Canadian tire to buy new, the chap punches computer, "they don't make those batteries anymore it's garbage throw it in that can over there". I carry on and hear more and more incidents like this with CT's Chinese imports. While all works well for you folks at Canadian tire I and maybe thousands are left with nothing. You will remember a time when you looked after things they would last. I looked after this drill and extremely low use. You keep the money I have nothing, we know they are happy in China. I would appreciate any help you can supply in the way of replacement or compensation. I suspect your answer but this has become important to me I have been reminded of this every time I enter my garage. Regards, James Fraser. North Saanich, BC Canada.
Mastercraft drill 18 volt, cant be exchanged
I bought a mastercraft 18 volt drill 4 years ago, the matter is about lifetime warranty that cant be honored because the reciept is faded to totally white paper so it cant be read and so canadiantire wont exchange it. For years this been my favourite store now no so much if things wont change. I bought a ton of stuff every year from these stores because I feel buy canadian is right but if you guys cant honor claims I will just buy from other stores. In the past they exchange tools no problem now reciept that has been faded a month after you buy the product so how do you produce it?. Beats me.
Maximum 18v drill and ½" impact wrench
I have 2 original batteries and one spare battery. All are dead and no replacement batteries are available, only solution Canadian Tire has is to throw everything out and buy a complete new set from them so they can do it all over again in 3 years. I don't think so, their planned obselance is just plain bad for the consumer. I think I am better off trying another brand.
Desired outcome: Free replacement of entire set.
18 v Maximum drill and impact set
I've got this combo set and the 3 batteries all show full charge but only last a few seconds. Apparently the batteries have been discontinued. I'm not impressed with this, my thought is I should be offered the 20 v replacement set for the cost of the batteries. This practice appears to have been going on for many years now. Years ago Sears offered this option for my dad.
Desired outcome: Give me a massive discount on the replacement set.
! 8 volt mastercraft cordless drill model no. 54-2973-4 batteries not available
Hi and to whom it may concern;
I am the owner of a 18 volt mastercraft cordless drill, model number 54-2973-4 purchased approx. 10 plus years ago. My drill is in excellent condition after serving me will for home use and now only to find out I cannot purchase a 18 volt battery, model number 54-2751-2 for my drill. If you guys would like pictures of my drill kit which includes a hard case containing the drill, charger, and two worn out batteries I can provide it. I also have purchase one new battery some time ago after my first two failed and the same now for this one. So now I'm stuck with a great drill but cannot purchase a new battery that I am aware of.
So you may ask why I am submitting this to you will its like this I am on a fix income at 71 years of age and money is tight and I'm not sure if I can afford to purchase another new drill for home maintenance.
Is there something you guys can do for me to obtain a new battery or help me to purchase a new drill since I really do think the onus is on you people if you have give up making this type of battery for my drill.
Looking forward to a favorable reply on this matter.
Thanking you in advance.

mastercraft maximum 25 foot measuring tape
Mastercraft maximum 25 foot measuring tape I have a Mastercraft maximum tape measure which is only a year old I have a few other tape measure kicking around I just so happen I was use that one that day and something happened to the spring it won't whined back in I was understood that Mastercraft tools are lifetime warranty and exchange not In the Bridgewater Nova Scotia Canadian tire I paid $25 plus tax for a 25 foot tape measure and they give me $10 in-store credit that's not what you call guaranteed for life so I think I may have to go a little further all my tools are Mastercraft power tools woodworking tools everything I might be changing just because of this [censored]
failed tool
Given a Mastercraft Multicrafter sanding tool for Christmas. When I first used it, the small sanding head (Velcro attachment) melted the Velcro and now sanding pads will not stay on the attachment - attachment useless. Next I moved to the large version of the same attachment and was very careful to work slowly and avoid excessive pressure, stopping frequently to avoid overheating. The attachment started rattling and I found that the mounted plate had torn apart - another attachment useless. Now, I cannot use any attachments as the mounting screw will not stay tight, a minute of use and the screw is loose and the attachment starts rattling around. I cannot tighten it any more with the provided Allen wrench and if I move up to one of my full size wrenches the screw will no doubt strip or break. As a result the whole tool is now useless ! Fortunate that it was a gift and I am not out of pocket for the cost of the tool, but the inferior quality is beyond belief. Sent a complaint off to Mastercraft but have received no reply yet.
AVOID THIS PRODUCT.
I bought a master craft maximum drill and charger a 12-18v it worked fine until recently the charger doesn't keep its charge or just doesn't charge at all. When I went to the Canadian tire store they told me it is only guaranteed for 3 years and to buy a new one. I thought it was life time with master craft, we pay more for that specific guarantee and service and its not true. I am very disappointed with the false advertisement to get more money out of people making them believe master craft is the best in tools and service, telling people if a tool breaks we give a new one free of charge for the lifetime of the tool. Its a lie, only if you have kept your receipt for the three years and only before the three years are up CAN YOU MAYBE WITHOUT ANY HASSEL GET A NEW TOOL THIS IS VERY DISAPPOINTING ! Welder
After receiving a welder made by Mastercraft for Christmas I was so happy. But the happiness was short lived. It started acting up after only a couple hours of welding. After about 3 hours it just quit working. I did not think much of it at the time as I had a 2 year warranty with it. So I brought it back to Canadian tire and they sent me to 3 different stores. The last store I got to finally knew what to do to run it through to get the warranty. After searching for 5 minutes, the returns cashier looks at me and says she can't exchange it for another one because the in store warranty had ran out. She very rudely said that it was basically not her problem and that I had been going from store to store because none of the other cashiers wanted to "DEAL" with me. She then tells me that I have to pay the shipping to the nearest repair centre with no guaranty that it will be fixed. After spending over 30$ in gas to run from store to store only to find out that a simple warranty claim will end up costing me over 100$ for a chance to get it repaired, I thanked the less than helpfull cashier for her services than made my way to the nearest garbage bin in their parking lot and threw the entire unit in the garbage. For an extra 200$ you can buy a much better welder from Lincoln and have good people behind a good product with a good warranty instead of having Canadian Tire and Mastercraft milking you for every penny for an inferior product.
My inspection camera is not working what should I do? I did change the batteries, the smoke is coming out from display. I bought it 2 years ago. I will appreciate your help.
I purchased a mini grinder a year or more ago when they were on sale with the impact guns (Purchased both) the grinder chewed up the gears and when i took it back she said i need a reciept, but she said it was warrintied for three years and that it was not that old yet but could not do anything for me. I was pissed since all i buy is mastercraft gear and have never had a problem before and never needed a reciept. In short i wont by mastercraft again. . .
I went to ask about an exchange or a fix on a 10" mitre saw when cutting a 2x4 the plastic piece broke off the guard making a bolt fly at me, i went to the desk in Owen Sound they gave me a number to call...that was a loans company not even thiers, we buy master craft because of the guarantee and the product that we know canadian tire stands behind BUT not this time!
After a few years of use my charger for the electric Mastercraft drill [protected] broke down. There is no service department at Canadian tire !
Writing an Email to Canadian tire I got the answeer "discontinued no parts available". Now I can throws the drill, the charger and the batteries in the garbage.
What a beautiful world
i have a mastercraft 32" steel outside door, the sill heal has broken
Yeah, they wanted you to buy more tools so you can fix the damn welder, those guys are crooks at times, but the sales are a nice to have and life time warranty, but I hate their customer service here in Lethbridge. Cannot be walking into the store all the time and still get the rude staff, has to do with the management I would think!
I have a MasterCrap 18V cordless 1/2 impact that needs a replacement trigger switch. I bought the unit ( it had been used only one time by the original purchaser and had sat in his shop under the bench until I bought it - the thing was obviously basically brand new and even the included sockets showed no wear ) through a private ad on Craigslist and frankly, I was VERY happy with it until the trigger suddenly malfunctioned about six weeks after I purchased it. I went to the local Canadian Tire and asked about having it sent out for repairs and was advised to take the gun in myself as the repair depot that they use overcharges them for work and takes forever to do anything. I did not lie when asked where I had bought it and I almost have sense that because I did not buy it from the store, that they really do not want to be bothered with trying to help me. Maybe I should have lied and said that I had lost my sales receipt - maybe they would have tried harder to help. While I was initially very happy with the impact gun, I am really less than impressed with how they back up their product. I have had no issues with charger or batteries despite the batteries being over two years old and they had only been used once when the gun was bought new by the previous owner. This "don't repair it - just throw it away and buy a new one" mentality that is so prevalent these days is really sickening IMHO. But when we buy crap made in China - I guess that we deserve what ever we get. The problem with cordless tools now though is that pretty much everything is "manufactured" there and the Chinese fail miserably to display much in the way of business ethics or quality control at any level or of any sort. They are great at copying but not the most inventive people on the planet and they sure have not figured out how to produce a quality product of any sort IMHO. Boo and hiss on Canadian Tire. Boo and hiss onme for buying yet another piece of crap made in China.
Have you filed a warranty claim? I have purchased Mastercraft doors from my local Menards store for years. They have a simple form to fill out and send to their guest services department if there is a problem. In my long history of working with Menards I have had to fill out the occasional form on various products. The guest services department has always been prompt and very helpful.
The OP has not said whether an attempt was made to contact the manufacturer and if so, what were the results? Even the best companies have had material defects, it's how they treat their customer once they have been notified of a defect that sets the good ones apart from the poor ones.

Never use their services
Mastercraft Recovery is smth amazing. This company is located in the garage. I think they don’t have license. Never use their services. You will lose your time and money and will not get what you paid for. Not the best company if you want to save money.
Fraud
MC authorized, endorsed and encouraged their authorized dealers around the country to sell a Cash Rewards program whereby customers were encouraged to buy into the program (buy in varied from $1000 to $3000). After a 3 year period the customer was required to mail in required information and where they would then be issued a rebate. Rebates varied from $5, 000 to $25, 000. The Cash Rewards group ended up being a fraud and filed BK. MasterCraft ha chosen to ignore all of their loyal customers by putting all the blame on the CR folks even thought MasterCraft encouraged, authorized and fully endorsed this program.
What a terrible example of customer service! What a shame from an organization that makes such high quality products!

Defective interior doors
Of the 17 doors purchased for over $6000. in a special order from Menards in September of 2011- None were acceptable or could be used as received. All doors were either damaged, poorly assembled (prehung) by Mastercraft (Mastercraft is a Menards subsidiary) or required repair. I am a home builder and have hung hundreds of doors over the years. I would never buy or hang another Menards door after this experience.
Menards response to my complaints made matters even worse. They basically say that none of the issues were covered by warranty or are their responsibility. They build a brick wall when you complain. I plan on legal action.
Door is damaged
damage to outer left sill extension and oak brick moulding.
require sill and brick moulding replacement asap.

Door Warped
We recently purchase a Mastercraft Exterior Door from Menards which was custom ordered thru Midwest Manufacturing. We received the door after taking out our front door and notice there was a crack in the window on the sidelight. We contacted Menards they said to fill out a complaint. We did. Nothing happened. We installed the door by a professional...

I recently bought two more Mastercraft 6 panel Oak interior doors ( I had over the past three years bought and installed 6 of these same doors and have been delighted with their fit and workmanship) when I was loading the 2 recent doors to haul home I noticed that they were significantly heavier than ones I had bought 5 months ago. When I unpacked them I discovered why. These Made in China doors have extremely thin oak veneer glued over an orented strand board. The OSB is the poorest I've seen it is extremly open - that is it has gaps and spaces betwen the wood fibers. I attempted to drill a 13/16 hole in the top of the door to install a ball detent device. The OSB crumbled and turned to powder.
I returned to Menard's to complain about the drop in quality - they were not very receptive. I walked the Mill Works rep through the problem and as we inspected his inventory we found that the doors made in China were in fact differnt from those made in other countries and definitly inferier.
So Menard's continues it's march to China and their crappy merchandise. Is there anything for sale in Menard's that is a brand name or made in this Country? Including their awful customer service.
People need to understand that many of Menards doors such as their stock 6 panel interior doors are not true 6 panel doors and have a wood core that the panels are attached to. This creates a 6 panel look but is not a true solid 6 panel door.
Bad service
I purchased from Menards a mastercraft door. I since, learned that Mastercraft is owned by Menards. Door was installed in December 2009. In March 2010, I came home to find a small kink in the mini blind inside the 2 panes of glass. So I tried to open and close the blind, but the kink was still there. I thought maybe raising the blind may take care of the small kink. The whole mini blind in the door broke. 3 months old and this $200 plus dollar door was shot. I called the Menards store in Freeport only to have asst. Manager tell me that I would have to fill out forms and send to the manufacturer and they would replace the window. Menards only owns the door company, sells the door, but will not stand behind it unless I, The consumer, invest more, and they the retailor do nothing. I told him I paid $250 to carpenter to install this door and I wanted Menards rep to come out and take care of the defective door. Asst. Mgr Ken said "no can do" Menards does not come out to look at anything. They do nothing until you the consumer fill out a product disatisfaction complaint form and send it in. Then, you the consumer can wait for them to contact you. Menards does not even put their phone number on their receipts in the Freeport Store. This manager did absolutely NOTHING to help me. He even proudly stated, "I am trying to help but you have to do all the work. I cannot fill out the form for you." I called a week later still looking at the broken mini blind window in my front door. This same manager tells me he went to the phone book to look up my phone number for his internal paperwork about an unhappy customer, to send to Corp. office. (thats what they have to do to save their job) But God forbid, they help the customer by filling out a form when a customer calls and sending it in for the customer. I said to him... "why did you not call me and ask if I had decided what I was going to do about my door?" It would have been nice had he used my phone number to call me and see if he could help get my window fixed. This manager & I had 3 separate conversations and he was totally worthless in resolving my frustration or assisting me in fixing my defective product. He did absolutely nothing to help. He proudly continued to direct me to the piece of paper that I must fill out and send into the company with my complaint. I spoke to a 2nd asst. manager who I had to verbally walk him through the process on how to help your customer. Like looking my receipt up on the Kyosk for me. He did, and that helped me feel better, since I work 60 hours a week plus manage a small business on side that I am trying to get year end tax info done on. I asked him to send it in mail to me. He then offered to send one of the complaint forms to me to send to company to get my window replaced. I am not happy about the process at all. But you would think the first guy could have at least offered to do these things to assist me in chasing down my own defect window replacement. I cannot express in words the disappointment I have for Menards and the customer service policies they have. Its like they are saying: BUY OUR CHEAP THROW AWAY PRODUCTS. PAY US BIG MONEY. AND WATCH US TELL YOU TO FILL OUT ALL YOUR OWN FORMS AND CHASE YOUR TAIL TO GET OUR CHEAP PRODUCTS REPLACED. SHAME ON MENARDS AND the uncaring assistant manager named Ken from the Freeport, IL Store.

I too found two of my off the shelf doors to fit in odd form. I thought it was my house frame. I made some modifications and the door fits and handle fine BUT, as they come off the shelf they are crap!
If you do decide to buy, by all means inspect the doors VERY well before leaving the store.
I also had a special order door and the fibre glass finish had some flaws and upon complain received a touch up pen...big deal.
I will not be buying from Menards anymore
I purchased 2 exterior doors from Menards; (MasterCraft) Midwest Manufacturing products (a Menards company). Both leaked around the window damaging the oak veneer on the inside. I was told by their "customer service" person to put the finish coat on it and this would take care of the problem. Really! Do not purchase, try any other retailer or brand, if it says MasterCraft/Midwest Manufacturing, DON'T walk away, RUN! Instead of "save big money" how about a tag line like "We make crap and don't stand behind it at Menards". It must be easy to sleep at night being a billionaire who made it on the backs of hard working people.

I have a master craft multipoint locking door which is seized in the lock position (that's the good news). I can't seem to find a customer support number on the web to arrange a service call. Does anyone have a number that reaches a person? Thanks.
I'm wondering how you could have possibly had a good experience with that company. I am absolutely disgusted with them and will never buy another door from them. I'm leaving my review everywhere so that, hopefully, I can save someone some time and money.
My experience with Mastercraft was absolutely awful. My husband and I bought a new front door from them for the house we purchased in January. There were issue with the door itself so I contacted the company. Here is my original email to them:
"My husband and I ordered the door on Saturday 1/9/16 and picked it up on Friday 1/15/16. Upon pick up, it was discovered that the door was missing the sidelight kickplate which was ordered, verified by the sales person and paid for. At pick up, my husband brought it to the attention of the sales associate and was told it would be sent Fed-Ex to us. This is unacceptable as the sales person we ordered with on 1/9 stated we were much better off to order the kickplate installed from the factory as it would be more resilient. We still have not received a kickplate.
We ordered the door with a handle and deadbolt bore. The holes were made through the door to accommodate the handle and deadbolt but did not allow for the door to close properly as the interior closing edge was not bored to house the locking mechanism. Because of this, we had great difficulty in finding hardware that would allow the door to close, and ultimately had to use pieces from THREE different kits.
We are very disappointed with the construction of the door. The trim on the door is haphazardly installed. There are a few places where is is not even flush with the window. On the upper pane of the sidelight, the trim is BENT in a concave manner. There is also glue/adhesive on the window framing.
Lastly, many of the holes drilled for the screws on the frame of the windows are drilled in a manner that does not allow the plugs to obscure the holes. It appears that the bits used to drill the holes wore in the trim on an angle that was not intended.
We wanted to buy local as much as we could and were excited about being able to tell guests that our door was made in Wisconsin. For spending over a thousand dollars on a door, we are extremely disappointed. We spared no expense on this purchase and were expecting better workmanship.
I am writing this desiring to hear what can be done."
After over a dozen emails back and forth (I'll spare you the gritty details), them telling me Windex would remove caulking (um, ok) and me filling out a measurement questionnaire (when none of my complaints had anything to do with the measurements of the door), I ended up with two new windows. And, yes, they expect me to dismantle my $1200 door and install them myself. I don't even understand the logic in that. I STILL do not have a kickplate... you know, the one we ordered and paid for...?
I was told that the kickplate "wasn't part of the warranty" even after I described many times that it was already paid for and not a warranty issue at all.
Mastercraft's customer service is bottom of the barrel. Don't expect anything out of them... including common sense.
They could have sent me new trim and plugs for around the windows and a kickplate (you know, the one we paid paid for?!) and I would have been happy. Instead, they sent me $800 in windows. Because that makes sense.
Worst company ever. If you order a door from them, you're doing so at your own peril.
After installation when installing the Lockset it was found that the lockset holes didn't line up with the strike cutout. The door also leaks. Same issue Menard's cares less and MasterCraft owned by Menards is refusing to that care of the issues. Might as well not have any warranty. Please Please let other people know these doors are junk and neither the store or the manufacture is standing be hind them. Just do a search on MasterCraft Door problems or issues. They want to make us look like complainers or had faulty installations. This is not the case. I know corporations with poor customer service finally fail. Will not help us currently but maybe save someone else frustration. They do not understand how word of mouth advertising spreads bad experiences and if they spent a few dollars making customers happy they wouldn't have to spend thousands on advertising to get the same number of customers back. Refuse to spend a dollar to make a happy customer or spend a thousand on advertising to get a new one.
i agree with the above, have the same type of problems with the door i bought, leaking around the glass, which menards replaced the door, reinstalled and the hinges didn't line up, went back got hinges off of 1st door, now it leaks at threshold, installed by a pro-contractor, will never buy a another mastercraft again.
thanks for everyones time and effort in writing these reviews...i have been admiring a particular door for a couple years now and decided it was time. Its still the time but i won't take a chance with this door. Thanks again
I had the same problem, I got a poor quality patio door(Mastercraft purchased at Menard's) and I had to file a complaint with the Attorney general to get them to even come look at the door(patio door) Then it was more of the' improperly installed' crap. My only other recourse was to sue them which I couldn't afford to do.
The contractor I used was excellent, he is competent and experienced and I have done business with him before., THE DOOR IS CRAP. You would think they would figure out it would be more cost effective to stand behind a product than rip us off. I know my contractor, the two other contractors that looked at the door for me (to determine if it was 'properly installed') and all my friends will NEVER BUY MASTERCRAP door or windows.
I will not purchase any major products from Menards again, I will use local business who stand behind there products and services.
Louise Fox is a corporate kiss off and not a service rep. Tell EVERYONE you know NOT TO BUY MASTERCRAFT. They produce poor quality and DO NOT STAND BEHIND THERE PRODUCTS
I recently built my dream house. During this process I purchased all of my interior doors and one exterior door from Menards in Sandusky, Ohio. I felt confident that these doors would look nice and function properly in my house. To my unfortunate surprise I was completely wrong. BEWARE of Mastercraft doors which is owned by Menards. The first exterior door that I purchased for my garage began leaking water, but I figured that it was because construction was going on and the door got damaged so I waited until the house was finished and spoke to the local representative at Menards to purchase the best possible door. I had my contractor install the door immediately and go the extra mile to insure the door wouldn't leak. Much to my surprise, the first time it rained the door leaked. Keep in mind I had the same contractor install all of my windows and 3 other exterior doors and none of them leak. I also had the same contractor professionally stain (which took several weeks) and install 22 interior doors at a cost of approximately $2, 500. During installation we started realizing that almost every door was either warped, bowed, peeling, or de-laminating and all of the backsets for the door handles were bored out to commercial locksets not standard residential locksets. I contacted my local Menards representative who recommended that I file an install complaint form. I filed the complaint and I was contacted by the infamous Louise Foxx who sent a field investigator out to examine the doors. I had my contractor on hand to answer any questions. The investigator spent a considerable amount of time investigating the doors and before he left he explained to us that the doors were defective and he would be explaining that in his report and that Louise Fox should be contacting me within a week. 4 weeks later I had to contact the investigator personally to get a response that completely shocked me. Louise Fox sent me a letter trying to state that all of the problems were due to the contractor not installing the doors or preparing them properly. Apparently this is the typical response they give in order to keep blame or responsibility off themselves. I explained that it was not possible as I have detailed photos of the preparation and installation of all the doors and I would be contacting the local store to explain how they were treating me. This is when it got worse. I went to Sandusky Menards and after demanding to speak to the Store manager for about 15 minutes he basically told me that once the product leaves there store it is no longer there problem and they own Midwest Manufacturing so I needed to contact them and to have a nice day as he just walked away. I spent over $4, 500 total on all of these doors that turned out to be junk and I can guarantee that I will be filing a lawsuit to recover my damages and I will never shop at Menards again.
