Commercial Residential Washer
We purchased this from Costo in April 2021. After a year of use, we noticed that inside appeared to be dirty. We cleaned it with water and laundry soap. It has continued to degrade the inside tub is discolored, looks dirty, and is breaking down. We are empty nesters & the machine is used 4-5 times a week. There is no way the inside should be breaking down.

2 Days ago, my washer got stuck in the drain/spin cycle and continued to sound as if it were trying to run, no matter how many times I unplugged it. The next morning, after being unplugged all night, it did the same thing (same sound); the repairman worked with it to no avail. His diagnosis was failed motherboard. This machine is 4 years old and of course Maytag's "10 year warranty" only applies to the motor which I did not realize when I bought it, which I think is quite misleading!
So people, don't spend the extra money for a 4 year machine!
Another expenditure this year for fallible merchandise- money down the drain.
And thanks government for all your assinine restrictions!

Desired outcome: Money for new washer
Dark clothes have white residue on them
We purchased the above mentioned washing machine a couple of years ago and from the beginning have had issues of a white residue showing up on our dark clothing. I can sometimes resolve the issue by rinsing another 2 times but that should not be necessary. I also have been washing dark clothes at half capacity so what good does this large tub do me? I have seen where other people have had this issue and the website says its resolved but does not tell me how. Can you help me with this problem?

From the first time I used the washing machine it leaves white marks on my clothes. This is not acceptable. I have had the machine for less than a month. When I try to get the white marks off my clothes it is ruining my clothes from trying to wipe off the marks. I would like a full refund and the machine picked up from my home so that I can order a machine that cleans my clothes properly.

We have been Maytag washer / dryer customers for over 40 years.
Replaced 15 year old washer with mechanical controls, with the MVW7230HW.
The MVW unit experienced warranty replacement within 3 months due to inability to provide enough water to cover cloths in tub.
Replacement unit no better, but we lived with it.
At 2 year age (one year past one year warranty) electronics completely died with clothes locked in the tub, as the lid would not release. That cost us $99 for service call to confirm it was broke.
Repair estimate was just under $1,000 - which is virtually the same price as a new replacement machine.
It was necessary to use a Sawzall to sever the cover locking tab to get the clothes out of the machine.
Decided to replace with LG washer (5.5 cubic capacity). Was finally able to get enough water in the tub to cover washed clothes.
Rate the Maytag as a "1" (minimum satisfaction rating) with LG as "5" (maximum satisfaction).
Desired outcome: Nothing that Maytag can do for us - they've lost a long term customer with their poor longevity and inferior washing control.

By May 26, 2019 I received my delivery around the first week of July same year. The machine was brand new with some scratches in the bottom that do not affected or compromise the equipment function. Today 12/07/22 I requested service from a technician because the machine was not working properly and he stated that one of the main board was damaged and that equipment was no repairable meaning was trash, YES! Just 3 years of use. I called maytag several times to request service and their 800 Customer service number is imposible to reach and is a waist of time to wait for their call back. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM MAYTAG WASHERS.
Desired outcome: I have a maytag machine that will be gone in the trash in few days, if anybody knows if repair the board to resales cheap is an option please reply to this message, Thank you!
Washing Machine
We purchased a Maytag washer in 2019. At about the 2 year mark, this machine had to have the control panel replaced as the touch buttons would not work. Now, at just under 4 years, we called in for service on this machine on 11/15/22 - finally had someone look at it on 11/23/22. Tech replaced the control panel only to then determine the locking lid mechanism was also faulty. Today, 12/6/22, another tech came out with the locking lid mechanism and made the repair, only to let me know he was getting shocked by the washing machine water valve and would have to come back on 12/19/22 with yet another part to (hopefully) repair this washer. So now we are without a washing machine for going on a month, and it will be over a month by the 19th. I’m not hopeful that this next service call will fix this machine. For what we considered a premier brand, every other washing machine we’ve had over 40 years has outperformed it.
Desired outcome: We would like a refund. This machine has been faulty and problematic and is still almost new. I would like a response from Maytag and an apology as well.
inability to actually 'talk' with a representative of Maytag
The customer service numbers provided on the website in Canada lead to a series of automated selections none of which include speaking to a representative. Trying to support appliances manufactured in the USA has become a nightmare. Not only is the price point higher, the quality of the appliances (higher end Maytag washing machines) is highly questionable. The washing machine was purchased less than 18 months before it required significant service requirements that did not resolve the issues, later this week we will have the third attempt to correct what is a manufacturing deficiency. Emailing messages to raise issues with Maytag (Whirlpool) has been frustrating, annoying and disingenuous. Quality and customer service are not Job 1, what a disgrace.
Desired outcome: replace the defective washing machine immediately

Maytag customer service and support pretty much non-existent. Can't reach a live person without spending much of your day getting through their automated phone system or their website.
My issue was that I ordered a new dryer and the LP conversion kit to go with it (both Maytag/Whirlpool, and Home Depot confirmed it was the correct part on multiple occassions). The parts for the kit did not physically fit my new dryer. After several weeks of getting absolutly nowhere with Maytag, other than them telling me it's the correct kit part number, I reached out to a local service provider. After a couple days of investigation, they found that my new dryer is a version 2 with a different regulator, and so, different parts needed for conversion to LP gas. Maytag doesn't even recognize the new part on their website, but a search for the part comes up on multiple other applience parts websitets and says it's for the model number dryer I have. And, to add insult to injury, no place can get the part because it's special order from Maytag.
I've now had the new dryer for over a month and can't use it. I will not ever recomend or buy another Maytag product.
Desired outcome: Maytag - get me ther correct part and pay for it to be installed. We feel we have paid long enough without being able to dry our clothes.

I bought this washer in May 2021 and it worked good until January 2022 with the drain pump not working called got service they fixed it then in November 2022 the same problem happened and the agitator doesn’t work called the company they said my warranty was out by a week They offered a $350 extended warranty but the part would be covered only for 90 days I paid almost $1000 for this washer ,for it to only work for a year and a half I’m very disappointed in the company I will never never buy another Maytag washer or dryer again I will let all of my friends and family know how bad Maytag really is it used to be a great company with washers that worked forever now they’re just a bunch of junk in my opinion
All Maytag appliances
We did our kitchen overand purchased all new Maytag appliances. The delivered the new fridge with missing parts and had to send us another fridge. We have had 3 separate issues with our oven. 2 of the 3 times we had to pay for service. Our washing machine had has service twice in the first few years. Our microwave now says the door is open and won't work even though the door is closed. Our dishwasher needed service for not draining correctly. In 4 years, we have had issues with every appliance we purchased. Some were within the first year and were covered but most were in year 2 or 3 and we've paid thousands to fix them. I thought Maytag would stand by their products more but after countless emails they have offered nothing to us (once they offered 20 percent off a new appliance)
I am so frustrated with their lack of customer service.
Desired outcome: I wish they would offer some kind of credit or reimbursement for the thousands we have paid in repair when these items are breaking down after 2 years!
Warranty repair order
Purchased commercial washer and dryer 5/22/19. Appliances came with 5 year warranty. Both require repair work. Called 800 number and sat on hold for 90 minutes and gave up. Went online and tried to schedule repair time. Site did not work. Called big George's where appliances were purchased. They tried the web site as well and could not get it to work for scheduling. Called another 800 number and sat on hold for 90 minutes and talked to someone who opened two work orders for repair. Received email confirmation and identified repair company. Called them and they had not received repair order. Waited 48 hours and still nothing. Called 800 number again. Waited 55 minutes to talk to someone. They located the work orders and said they would put them through again. Called repair company again. They finally got the order but said it was not entered correctly for warranty repair work. Called 800 number again. And supposedly the order was corrected for the repair work. I am still waiting to get the repair work completed. I will never buy Maytag appliances again based on your customer service. It has taken 6 days and hours sitting on hold and still no repair work done. Ridiculous.

This is only 6 years old and all the sudden would no longer drain or wash I called and Maytag wants more money it says it has a 10-year warranty that is one of the reasons I bought it now what I have a washer that looks brand new and doesn't work I have taken very good care of it read the manual cleaned it on a regular basis and now this I really am disappointed I thought Maytag backed up there product

On Dec. 28, 2021, I purchased a Maytag washer. By Aug. 2022 it wasn’t working, and I had a authorize repairman come out to repair it. This was in the first week in Sept. It had a leaking gasket, and he came out and replaced it. Still it wouldn’t work. The circuit board on top was replaced. That didn’t fix it. Then the other circuit and gearcase was supposed to be replace. This was in late Oct, the repairman had to order it because he didn’t have it in stock. It takes 21 business days to get this part. Because of a screw that wouldn’t come out, without damaging everything, he had to reorder this part again. This is late Nov now and I just hear that another 21 business days will have to be waited on. I called Whirlpool, who owns Maytag now, and they are unwilling to replace the washer until this part is replace. They did extend my warranty but how good will this washer be?
So here I am at 73 hauling baskets out in Michigan’s weather to wash them. So much for buying Maytag.

I had bought a new Maytag washer in the end of May. The washing machine went out in August and we have had a company by the name of Sloan Appliance out of West Columbia SC. Been here 5 times in 9 weeks. They have replaced the main board twice and still today it’s still not working. They have never give us a ticket and we have never seen what they do.

Received new mother board about 4 weeks ago. Took between 5-6 weeks to get repaired. Less than 1 year old... So without appliance all that time. 4 weeks later same issue, will be another 4-6 weeks for repair... And this is unacceptable on all fronts..., christmas coming will be without appliance again, company coming etc, I want maytag to replace this defected appliance with a new model. Obviously there is an issue with this model's motherboards, and their replacement parts... As mine (the replacement) was defective in 4 weeks... After replacing... Am working with retailer, and your rep, but process is so slow and cumbersome, trying to deal with warranty etc is very frustrating... And I do not wish to have to go through this process again, nor the wait time without the dishwasher over the hoildays...

I have had this washer and dryer for 5 years and the washer is rusting away. I contacted Maytag and they sent a technician out to tell me that the cabinet brace was bad and it is not economical to repair. He quoted me $585.53 to fix the washer. I've never had a washer or dryer to do this especially being only 5 years old. There are only 2 people that live in my household, so the washer does not get overused, nor do I overfill it. This is totally unacceptable under any circumstance, and feel that Maytag needs to make this right.

Repairman ordered control panel. Part not in stock at parts warehouse. Waiting for months still no part. I’ve not been contacted, so I initiated contact. No one knows when the part will be in stock. Finally got the repair company to inquire to supplier for resolution. It’s been about 60 days since the washer broke down. I have cancer, going lto laundrymats has been too difficult, so I was forced to purchase another cheap washing machine.
I trusted Maytag to sell me a better than average appliance. I certainly paid more than the average price for it.
Desired outcome: I want a new machine or a refund. I don’t feel like Maytag has taken care of me. Trust has not been earned in this case.

We purchased our washer and it was delivered Mar 2 , 2022. After about ten washings error codes appeared on the screen and the door is locked and will not open. Called warranty people 6-21. Appointment made for 6-28. No show from the repairman. Rescheduled for 7-13. Repairman said it had a bed board and ordered a new one. Still waiting on replacement board. It is now 11-21, over four months. They say it is on backorder. New ETA about every three weeks. We have been carrying our clothes to the laundrymat since June. The reason we bought maytag is because we thought they were dependable. I understand every product is subject to failures, but the least you can do is make it right with your customers. The part number for the board is W11322901.
P.S. This washer was purchased at Lowe's
Desired outcome: After five months of waiting for the repair it is time to send a new washer or refund our purchase price
