Now, I need to replace the starter on my Miata MX-5 2006.
I was able to order replacement parts in 2017 from an 800 number.
The parts came from Canada and was ordered by the person I talked to.
Now, I have found that I can no longer do this. WHY?
I was able to talk to someone about replacing my radio antennae in July,2023 in the corporate office. He helped me find the correct part number and I went to the dealership and ordered the part.
About six weeks later something happened to the antennae and it is now bent over and has been since that time.
I had a key made in March 2023 around the 15th.
The key broke apart in my hand on December 15, 2023 and cut my thumb, when I was trying to open the trunk. It would not open the trunk and it cut my thumb causing me to bleed. I was told on the telephone that it would be replaced for free because it was under warranty for a year. When I went in to the lakeland,fl. dealership where I had purchased the products with an appointment, I was told that the parts would not be replaced for free because I used them. I bought them to use not to look at.
I want to buy the parts from corporate and have a mechanic of my choosing do the work like I did in 2017,when I lived in Arizona.
I do not trust the dealerships because they are selling defective parts for full price.
I have had problems in the past that were cosmetic but not resolved. The wrong glue was used on the convertible top and large dark spots formed. I asked that the top be dyed black but the district manager refused to do anything.
Claimed loss: $480.00 plus labor.
Desired outcome: I want to be able to buy parts from corporate as I have done in the past.
