Mazuma Mobile Unblocking device

Sent my spare iPhone to Mazuma. Imei number checked on their website before sending.

Mazuma claimed a different company reciprico had found a block on the phone, that it may have been reported as stolen and that if I didn’t remove the block in 28days they would destroy my phone.

I’ve spent 6weeks emailing both companies trying to resolve the issue. I got the phone new from Tesco, it’s never had another owner or been reported stolen by myself.

I’ve contacted Tesco several times fo remove the “block” but they weren’t sure of what this even was.

Mazuma and reciprico just passed me back and forth, telling me to contact Tesco mobile.

I’ve not receive any money for my device nor has my property been returned to me.

I’m furious and frustrated.

If mazuma already had me IMEI number before I posted my device, they could’ve checked this and I’d have never sent it off.

I don’t even know what this ‘block’ is as I’ve never filed anything about my phone.

I feel robbed.

Mazuma Mobile False information given

I sent a laptop which is a year old bought for over £500 from Curry’s. It was barely used in perfect condition and the night before sending I cleared it. It was charged and charging no problem now you say it’s not charging? Absolute lies I’m terrified now you’ve broke it yourselves. I should have got a lot more than £150 I’m just out of an abusive relationship I can provide proof of womens aid involvement. I can not afford to lose a laptop which I desperately need to sell! If this is the case I’d keep it for my child who starts high school this year but I desperately needed the money and thought I’d replace it by time he starts. I’m absolutely broken at the thought you have damaged it and cost me this!

Mazuma Mobile The product review

Hello, I am deeply frustrated in regards to a review that has been done on my device. I was open and honest when I first contacted the company and was assured my device was worth $320 despite the 'Minor' damage it had.

I received an email today saying it was now only worth $95 due to the review and apparently the device does not meet the "poor" status which is what I gave it.

After looking at your website there is NO! Reason why this should be the case. Your site clearly states poor condition allows for a crack on the screen and the phone be working fully which my Samsung Galaxy device does.

I would like to make a formal complaint and I do plan to take this up with the business ombudsman as your website is miss leading and does not give prospective customers the right information.

Desired outcome: I would like not to have to take this further and receive the full $320 I was told I would get.

Mazuma Mobile Mazuma mobile

I sent my phone to sell to them at the price they offered online at the time but when they got it checked said there was screen burn but there wasn't as I'd had it checked at a shop before I sent. So I refuse the offer they made me and said to return my phone this as been over a week and I've not had my phone back yet and they don't reply when you email or leave a request for call back.

Mazuma Mobile iPhone 11

I was given an offer for my iPhone 11 of £240 which I sent in immaculate condition as it has been in a case with screen protector on, they have reduced my offer to £195 which i was on the fence of accepting but when I requested to see photos as to why the reduction the photo they shown a phone that looked like it had had sand paper down the screen and bashed, looked nothing like my phone I had sent. My partner had similar experience when sending her phone she initially refused but when asked for her phone back she got her initial offer!

Mazuma Mobile Mobile Phone

I sent a phone off to Mazuma and it was only 2 months old and they came back reducing it by £143 saying it was scratched on the base, I know this is not true because I have photos before sending and returned it in bubble wrap but that's not my issue, I can just resell it for the price it is worth, my problem is the return of the phone and I rejected it last Tuesday and it is still not back with me, everyday I email and everyday I get the same email that they have between 3 to 5 days to return it, I will be honest the way it is worded I took it, it would be back within 3 to 5 days because it does not state it either way really but anyway we are on day 6 and its still not despatched so now their policy on return is definitely against their returning policy and when I email I just get same thing between 3 to 5 days. I don't understand why a company would want the responsibility of a backlog of phones on their premises with risk of loss or damage rather than just return when offer rejected. The customer service and attitude has been poor and the reviews speak for themselves lately. I am on pins the correct phone won t be returned or damage to it and I don't get the delay on the return of the phone but I am not getting anywhere and rejected the offer on the 11th January 2022 and its not the 18th January 2022. I am not getting anywhere

Mazuma Mobile Unethical behavior

Offered £170 for my iPhone XR, which is is perfect physical and working condition. They have reduced my offer to £65 saying I have dust particles in my camera! Despite photos I took on last day of using the phone being perfect! I have rejected their offer and am expecting a U-Turn offer from them or my phone back.

My boss and her husband sent theirs off last week and have had similar treatment too!

Desired outcome: Full payment of £170 or phone returned undamaged in condition which was sent to them in

Mazuma Mobile Sold phone, DPD or Mazuma have lost/stolen it

I went through the process of selling my phone as I was getting a new one due to an upgrade. The quote was good, so I packaged my phone up in the original iPhone box, inside the box that my new phone was delivered in that same day. Off I went to my local DPD drop off point, received my 'Thank you for your parcel' and reference card, and thought no more of it. A few days passed and Mazuma emailed saying they hadn't yet received the phone. I went onto DPD track, it said (and still says!) 'We have your parcel and it's on its way' So I thought nothing of it again.

Then I got the email saying the quote had expired and they still hadn't received the phone. Ok, I don't mind that the quote has expired, but WHERE is the phone!?

It seems to have not made its way to Mazuma yet. And so, the only thing I can assume is that it has been stolen by someone in DPD. After contacting Mazuma, they have told me they will raise an investigation with DPD, but as it has now passed the 14 days, there would be no compensation. Apparently, there is a 14 day period that DPD have set...?! I have contacted DPD and they have told me they can't discuss it with me or give me any updates because they're in contract with Mazuma...

It seems to me that they are in this together and it is a cliche of pitting one company against the other and I'm in the middle.

I either want my phone back, or I want the money for it. It's a simple way to do business really, and I think that is only fair. It's not OK of these companies to keep doing this to people. I think it is also completely out of order considering I have a card which is a receipt saying I have posted it, so in no way is this my fault yet I'm being penalised for it.

Mazuma Mobile Payment Not Received / iPhone not returned

On 6th October I sold my iPhone XS Max in perfect condition I have always looked after my phone and was quoted £235.00 (order number M8216334) Back in 2020 I damaged the phone screen I took it to Planet mobile in Merry Hill and they replaced the scree costing me over £200 as they stated that the screen was genuine iPhone screen. I posted my Phone to Mazuma in its original box using DPD drop off service, I brought a Secure box and was sure to package well to avoid damage in transit. As I say after always looking after my phone I was under the impression that the £235.00 would be honoured and having used the phone with no issues I never saw an issue occurring.

I received a report on 12th October 2021 stating that it was a non genuine screen that had been fitted and it was a defective LCD screen with White Marks, the original quote was reduced from £235.00 to £80.00 I was sure to request my iPhone to be retuned as I had a friend who would buy the phone off me privately, and I also wanted the chance to return this to Planet Mobile to question the screen and its claim to be authentic.

On Saturday Morning 16th October 2021 I received an empty Parcel. My iPhone was not in the original box and has been retuned to me in a box that Mazuma has admitted the iPhone can "slip" out of.

I have contacted Mazuma Mobile but they so far have not been any help. i have also logged a claim with Royal Mail but I am not satisfied that my iPhone was only insured for £100.00 I am also not satisfied that I haven't got my iPhone back.

It is causing me not only financial issues but also distress and stress at trying to sort out something that is through no fault of my own at all.

Desired outcome: £235.00 or my iPhone XS Max Back in its original packaging

Mazuma Mobile Mazuma

Sent off an iPad Air 3 in prestine conditions was originally quoted £200 from Mazuma, they had my iPad for 4 days then contacted me to state it had multiple scratches (it had none) and offered me £140, I requested them to send me pictures as I knew there wasn't any scratches - they never sent them, they then offered me £150, I declined said I wanted the photos to prove scratches, they didn't reply and are now returning my iPad, I paid special delivery to send it but they're returning it normal post ! Dread to think what state it will be in when I get it back !
I had it checked with apple before I sent it so Mazuma are telling fibs somewhere ! Complete waste of my time

Mazuma Mobile Phone was not in the box when received was meant to be returned

My daughter send her phone to mazuma who were going to pay £215 they then said they would only pay £70 as there was a problem with the camera. We asked for the phone to be returned. This was send back via Royal Mail however, the box was empty. Mazuma deny this is their fault and are blaming Royal mail - the box was not tampered with at all and was completely sealed until we opened it. We are not happy with this at all. This is mazuma's problem and the phone must be still with them or someone has stolen it. I want this resolved as soon as possible. I will never ever recommend them to anyone. I have another phone to sell and am using another company.
NOT HAPPY AND WANT THIS RESOLVED ASAP.

Desired outcome: PHONE RETURNED OR MONEY PAID INTO HER ACCOUNT

Mazuma Mobile selling a phone

On the phone to them but I was put on hold for over an hour and it still haven't been answered to yet. Phone was received 2 weeks ago as stated by post office track and trace but they said they only just received it. Bumped my price down from 100 to 25 because of a little scratch in the top corner.
DO NOT SELL TO THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL SCAM YOU !

Mazuma Mobile Lies and money scam

I decided to sell my old phone and went to the website www.mazumamobile.co.uk. They offered good prices for old phones. I entered the model of phone and the agent contacted me. He offered good price and I needed to register my sale. They provided me sales pack and I sent the phone to them. After the agent told me that they would transfer money after they received the phone. Now they state that my phone was lost and they hadn’t received it. I know it horrible scam, but I need money back. Please, post your comments and share your views about this company.

I sent my unblocked phone to Mazuma & they said CHECKMEND said it’s coming up blocked on 18th October 2017 in Italy by Vodafone. My son has been using it since I bought it from Argos December 2016 up until 2021 January. My network has always been EE & they have records of my phone being used & in service all this time. They checked the IMEI number & it’s not coming up blocked. Mazuma said they can not give me back my phone unless I can prove I didn’t block it or I can clear the block. I have contacted & done all the relevant actions possible which was very time consuming & stressful for example sent them bank statement showing I was CLEARLY in England on that date. All information was sent to them 3wks ago & no one has contacted me o acknowledge my emails. It is now coming close to the 28days which they say they will keep MY phone. I have contacted the police & have a crime number if they do keep MY phone as I will take a out a private law suit against them. The stress & anxiety they have caused me I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I have now passed this issue over to my brother as I can no longer deal with them anymore. I even nearly crashed my car while driving when a Mazuma advert came up on the radio. They are con company and this needs to be brought to people’s attention. I will go to the papers & social media, TV & anyone who will listen!
