no federal taxes withheld in 2010
Ive been an employee for caspers for allmost a year now, and just recently noticed when i got my w-2 that NO federal taxes were being withheld in 2010! WHY. Apperently i wasnt making enought money SO caspers took it upon themselfs to NOT take the taxes out, so now instead of my FAMILY RECEIVING A TAX REFUND! which we desperatly needed, we have TO PAY! ALOT...
When i recieve my check stubs i see money being taken out (fica and ss) didnt think that either one of those wasnt the federal tax that SHOULD have been taken out! THIS IS COMPLETE ### AND UNETHICALL AND QUITE SNEAKY IF YOU ASK ME.
My pay rate has not changed at all, but this year (2011) my check stub shows federal income taxes being withheld! HMMMMMMMMM now i wonder if soooo many ppl called caspers main officee complaining about this that they decided to do the right thing! i will be calling the IRS and complaing as well. i urge all of you to boycott caspers mcdonalds and all it affiliates! its wrong what they did in this economy. and they shouldnt be making billions of dollars doing it!

sevice and more
This McDonald Restaurant is very new. I like it because it's new. But, almost everytime I eat breakfast there, I dont get what I ordered. The clerk that takes my order cant speak english and cant understand english. This specific clerk was too busy watching a young girl walk away. He appeared to care less about the coustomers waiting. There is something wrong with their idea of working. Every employee that I seen is mexican and the man in charge is, too.
A lot of elderly people in my neigborhood eat there. And we were talking about the attitude
this Mcdonalds has.
2nd topic: They wash the sidewalk with soap and expect people to walk in the soap. There is not mat to wipe your feet on inside. THis is place that could break a bone if they fall.
I got no photo's to send you.
if you want, you can grow a pair of balls and tell them you didn't get the food you ordered, give that specific McDonalds time to improve itself, nothing is perfect at first and i seriously doubt its going to be up to your standards at a constant, but they send people over to see how the store is doing, if they see that there is a problem then they will fix it...it the mean time why dont you file a complaint or something? Make some calls, send some emails, or something...if it bugs you that much then you would take the initiative to try and make a difference right?
Dropped Utensils on the floor in cook area and picked up and used them
On Jan. 14, 2011 my so n and I wnt to supper at the winfield McDonalds . We placed our order and heard a crash so looked at the place where the noise came from. A lady aprox. in her late 30's to early 40's dropped a box of utensils on the far south side of the kitchen. Picked them up put them back in the box took a spatula and used it in the grill. I told the yound teen girl at the register that was sick and I no longer wanted my food. The floors were nasty and the tables needed clear and there was maybe four other families there so they had time to clean.

the spatula should have been washed and sanitized at the very least.
service
What is the deal with the mcdonalds in west frankfort? Their night shift group is pathetic. The drive through service is much less than desired with a rude employee taking orders and then shoving my debit card at me while looking and chatting with a buddy behind her. No thank you, kiss my butt or bugger off from her. This makes two times I have ran into her at the joint. The morning shift seems to be great but geesh that night shift group needs to learn customer courtesy. A simple "hello" goes a long way sometimes.

Our friends and our family visited at McDonals on the corner of Londsdale & Swantone street in Melbourne. We all were horrified by the shift manager at that time ( between 8:30 and 9:30pm on 7 April 2013 ).
- My 3 years old boy urgently needed to go to toilet but toilet door was locked so I asked some staffs to use the toilet. They said it was blocked so couldn't use it so I asked them where the nearest toilet is. They said they don't know so I requested to use a staff toilet because my boy is too young to hold on longer but they didn't care about what I said. Finally I asked an empty cup to use for his pee. My son and I went behind rubbish bin on the corner of the store and he did wee in the cup. But the shift manager approached to me and shouted she would call the Police with threatening voice and facial expression, I was shocked and threatened by her. If it was against their health & safety policy, Okay I would accept and apologize. But I couldn't understand her attitude and the way of her speaking.
- My friends ordered three hazel nut lattes, one Chai tea, one ice cream and three cheese cakes. A few minutes later the cashier said hazel nut lattes were not available so my friend changed to three vanilla latte instead. But some of our group said vanilla latte was too sweet so my friend tried to change order but the shift manager of the store had already started making our coffee. We said that's okay. The shocking thing happened at that time. The shift manager was complaining and showed us her bad feeling while we were discussing & changing our coffee. Even she used some curse words in quite tone, we can't hear them but we could see her mouse. We were sitting next to coffee machine at the store. We could see and hear clearly.
- One of my friends accidentally spilled a cup of coffee while we were waiting our order. We asked the staff to clean up the floor because we had 2 little kids and our table was near the entrance door. We thought it was a bit dangerous situation but they said "That's Okay, LEAVE IT THERE" so we wiped the floor by ourselves and cleaned the table by ourselves. Even one of staff did not come to us for cleaning while we were staying there.
- We was waiting our cakes more than 20 minutes, but they did not serve them so one of my friends talked to the shift manager about their order mistakes. But the shift manager said she couldn't understand our English and started to argue with my friend. My friend was over 55 years old and has been living here more than 25years as an Australian Citizen but the shift manager shouted at my friend to SHOW HER MY FRIEND'S PASSPORT AND GO BACK TO OUR COUNTRY. Even more she said they would call the Police.
What a shocking experience! I never had this kind of insulting situation especially in service place in my life. I couldn't sleep if I am thinking this incident. Please tell me what should I do for this rude service of McDonals.
I went into McDonalds on Tampa Road, Oldmar Florida to make a small order. Because the drive through was so packed, after making my order it and waiting for over 15 minutes, I couldn't leave because the cars were so closely packed. When I finally go two cars from the window, I figured that I had already wasted so much time, I should wait a few minutes longer. THe total order time at this fast food restaurant was over 30 minutes (I am NOT exaggerating!) When I got to the service window, the clerk had no idea of what I had ordered, and it took another 5 minutes to get my food. When she handed me me food, the bag fell on the ground. When I bent down to retrieve it, I cut my left middle finger on a piece of sharp metal and bleed for about 10 minutes. The only reaction to this by the clerk was a sigh and another sound that appeared to be "oohh".
Oddly, on the pick-up window was there announcement of a contest stating how many cars they wanted to pass in their drive through. This is really weird. Maybe I'll sue. I actually recorded part of the sequence with my cell phone. I don't want money, but, my god, it just seemed as nobody their cared - and that sort of activity should be punished.
every time I've purcahsed a salad with tomatoes in it, the tomatoes are terrible, mostly old almost spoiled, digusting taste... pretty bad you try eating healty all you get is poor quality products.
One day I was eating my kids meal and when I took a bite out of a nugget !I saw one or two hairs in the nugget!
Also the place is crawling with bugs and when I went to the couter I think I saw a cockroch crawl into the food
and the person cooking it DIDN'T EVEN CARE!So if your on my do not eat there
I do because I help them thank you very much! I also take care of my own vines in a vineyard thank you very much! I will enjoy
Why would you support a corporation like McDonalds? I cringe when I hear that name.
THEY SKIN AND DISMEMBER CONSCIOUS ANIMALS! Next time you take a bite of that hamburger...just remember where it came from. Bacon from pigs that can't turn around in their stalls, chickens locked in their cages living in their own feces...yes, take another bite. Enjoy!
yeah fatty, if you keep getting bad tomatoes then why keep ordering them?
I would stop ordering them if I were you. Anyways, why would you go to McDonalds when you're trying to eat healthy? I hope you put no dressing or croutons on your salad.
the cheeseburgers don't come with tomatoes--I know because I used to manage one.
i agree...
once i ordered for a cheeseburger and i forgot to tell them to not put tomatoes coz i dont eat them... when i got my burger i wanted to take the tomatoes off so i opened my burger and saw a dead fly on the cheese... didnt even bother to complain coz its too embarassing to start complaining with all these all people looking... so i just left...
got a friend who is working at mcdonalds at the delivery section... she answers the phone... she can see the cooking place whenever she pass by there to go to the phone and she can see the place is too dirty no one even bother to clean...
aaa anyway... they put water on their softdrinks so ask for "softdrinks-in-can" if possible...
violation of health code
While making a purchase on Thursday 13 Jan 2010 at 6:30p I noted that the employee cooking and preparing the french fries did not have on gloves. So I asked the Manager (who was taking my order) - shouldn't he be wearing gloves. He said no - it was not required. I told him I thought it was a NY-State requirement and he responded, no - it is not required. I...

I paid for the order and didnt recieve the right meals and rang up when i got home and realised it was wrong, nobody answered the phones even though i tried ringing many times over a five to six hour period, the following day i called past the Mcdonalds to tell them about what happened and they were quite rude and obnoxious towards my complaint saying that that if i dont have a reciept there is nothing he would do and then started rambling about Telstra and proof of purchase and was very rude and said all you can do is complain on the website and that i must move threw the drivethrew as there were customers behind me, i realized he was not willing to listen to me or reemberse me the items missing from the previous day, i do believe he was under the influence of some drugs or alcohol because he was slurring his words and his eyes were glazed and very dialated and he was very confrontational and aggressive in his tone and movement of his body was very figity.I hope you investigate this matter further as i believe he is a danger to the customers and the company as i will be contacting the occupational health and safety office as drugs and alcohol are a very dangerous mix and should not be tolerated at any workplace, and what about the items i had paid for and they forgot am i supposed to just let it go due to fear of an unpredictable employee, could you please advise me on what actions i should take, my email address is [protected]@yahoo.com.au, i am eagerly awaiting a reply.Thankyou.

no creamy white sauce on the mc feast burger
Purchased 3 Mcfeast burgers at the Mcdonals in Lenasia on the 21 Feb @ 02:05 am, and to my suprise all three burgers didn't have the white creamy sauce...I was furious as this is the ONLY meal i eat at Mc Donalds.I really dont believe how that has happened, as a Mc feast burger with no white sauce is just not a Mcfeast burger...Im so dissapointed, can you Mc Donalds can you!
Wrong country...
In Lenasia, South Africa it's called the Quarter Pound deluxe.
McFeast is Australia...
But, you knew this... You just wanted to say, "white creamy sauce..."
haha very funny... no, not really
late and missing food
I ordered 2 triple cheeseburgers and 10 mc bites through drive through and it wasn't busy. Paid for my meal.Waited there atleast a minute then was asked to wait in the waiting bay. So I parked there. Mean while several other customers got served. Finally after 10min they come out give me a poor apology and throw in a free apple pie. I get home and to top it off they forgot the mcbites! Not a good way to promote your products guys! Not impressed 1 bit
employee abuse
this is by fare the worse place I ever worked. the managers have no respect for their crew, or the costomers. they yell at the crew members in front of the costomers. they steal from the company. they give away free food to anyone but the crew once a homeless man asked fore a drink of water and they had the nerve to tell him that he had to pay for the cup...

SEEING IS BELIEVING
Have you guys ever heard of tax ? :). Just cuz it says 5 dollar special or deal or what ever doesnt mean that they dont add tax. Idiots
we employees have a damn good reason to be rude
There is always a reason that any fast food (mostly mcdonalds) employee is rude to you. Or maybe it's just me. I currently work at
mcdonalds and I can either be the nicest worker there or the [censor]iest. Here is a list of things I have assembled that will give you an insight.
Next time you complain, you might need to consider this before you do:
1. When ordering through the drive thru, be sure to look at the 12 inch screen displayed in front of you to ensure that your order is accurate. I always make sure to ask if the order on the screen looks correct and I always get an uneasy "...Suree..." or straight up "yes." Even if I know for a fact something is missing I repeat the order after the customers, and once again they reply with a yes. As soon as they get their food, they ### saying they didn't get their mcdouble or whatever, and look through their receipt to their surprise! They didn't get charged for it.
2. While in the drive thru, when you are paying, the employee usually asks you if this is your order and repeats everything. You should probably pay real close attention or you'll end up paying 15 bucks more than what you were supposed to get. Don't say the big mac meal is yours when you clearly ordered a large coke and thats it.
3. Be specific when you order your meals please, because if you just say "A number 1 meal" the standard size you'll get is a medium. Don't ask me if I made it large AFTER you paid.
4. If you noticed that the drive thru is a little backed up, you should probably get off your lazy ### and go inside. That way you'll get the food faster, and don't have to deal with the "rude" employees because you're all pissed that it's taking so long.
5. When we park you, we do it not in spite of you, it's because your food is obviously not ready. Clearly there are 5 more cars behind you but that doesn't mean they got the same exact thing that you ordered. So don't come in all pissed voicing your observation.
6. The reason nothing is stocked or clean usually is because fat people like YOU GUYS keep coming in and ordering a ### ton of food, that way it's almost impossible to get anything done.
I know this is long, thank you for reading this. The key points are the first 2. ### at me all you want, but anyone who has worked at mcdonalds or fast food in general will say the same exact thing.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
You shouldnt be in customer service if you dont like customers, You are getting paid to be there, the customer is paying for you to be there, You should be there with the attitude I AM GETTING PAID TO BE HERE & MUST DO MY JOB WELL ... NOT, you should be nice to me because I am here to wait on you.
(although I agree people should be nicer to everyone)
if i came there to eat and you were a ### to me i would slap the ### out of you you are a rude person and sorry ### fat people are not the only ones that go there and eat up all the food and make a mess grow up ###
I work in Disability services. A few months ago, a client of mine got a job at a local McDonalds. My job is to accompany my client to work and assist with training and generally settle them into their new role. This gave me access to the staff areas and kitchen, a place most customers aren't familiar with, and being an outsider, gave me an excellent perspective on what it is like to work at McDonalds.
Every day I witnessed fully grown (physically, I'm guessing not emotionally) adults berating 16 year old boys and girls because they didn't want a pickle or because of some other garbage. The level of disdain most customers had towards staff was disgusting. These kids (and a lot of mature age workers too) come to work because they WANT to work, and man do they work hard!
Believe it or not folks, fast food is a high pressure industry. Mistakes happen, the food is cheap, and they will often give you something for free if you have to wait too long.
McDonalds workers get paid pittance and have to put up with a lot of ###, go easy on them...
Anita quit being a ### and chill the ### out.
great story
People who work in food service jobs do not have it easy. When you have a job dealing with the public there are going to be times when you have customers who are rude and have no thought as to what your job entails. I get aggravated standing in a long line at McDonald's and look to see they only have one person taking orders. Remember is it is the MANAGER who is responsible to have enough people up front. At the drive through I sit at the window to check my order before driving off. It annoys them, but saves me from being angry when my order is not right. If it is something like sauce it only takes a few seconds. However, if it is something more and I am asked to drive forward I only go up enough for the next car to get to the window. Waitresses in restaurants such as Cracker Barrel only make around $2.50 an hr. They depend on tips. Please remember to tip even if it is only a dollar a person. And remember it is not your waitress that makes your order, they only enter it into the computer. It is the kitchen staff who are responsible for putting the order together. A side note: someone I know worked at Cracker Barrel. A worker there put a steak in the sink and left the water running which ran down including raw pieces of meat over the salad making counter and into the vat where the ice cream is kept. It was so much water that pieces of raw meat got into the ice cream. The ice cream was then ruined and he took it out to replace it. The manager came by saw what he was doing and screamed at him to just pick out the pieces of raw meat and serve it anyway. The guy quit then and there.
I agree with Stealth Pilot, the user redtulip has obviously never had a job before because when you get a job, you are assigned to a certain position. For example, the kitchen crew that you saw laughing and joking around in the back, is assigned to make the food and that's it. You don't even know if they know how to take orders yet. There's a person assigned to a register on the front counter, and that person is responsible for it, and no one is allowed in it (due to being short). It's not like there's going to be a person standing there all day waiting for someone to come in. You get in trouble for just standing there doing nothing. So how about you shut the ### up and consider these things.
okay well how about this? How many times have i been told to pull forward in a drive through and wait for my order and then sit there for 15 minutes completely forgotten about? A BUNCH! How many times have a looked towards the kitchen and seen employees playing, laughing, talking, or staring off into space while i'm waiting for someone to come take my order? A BUNCH! I don't mind fast food employees and i am nice to them as long as i see they are taking their job seriously and actually trying to accomplish something. Unfortunately the majority of them are just lazy and looking for an easy job they can get paid for without having to put in much effort.
@ Anita Maccy Ds is a good job. It is one of the few things you can do that get you up the retail career ladder quickly, and you don't pay for your training.
Now @customers_suck I agree with you. There is no point of people being rude as it is their mistake and their fault they don't listen. And if they see the drive thru backed up then maybe they should go else where or go inside. I worked in Burger King and I know how rude people can be, but you have to stay happy and just take it.
That is SOOO true.
lack of 'special sauce', and charging for extra
Ok, so maybe this is just being whiny, but would it really kill McDonalds to actually put on more than a quarter of a teaspoon of their special sauce to their Big Mac's? And they leave the other side of the burger (both patties) dry! And then if you ask for more, since there is not enough to begin with, they actually have the nerve to try and charge you for it! It's bad enough that the Big Mac has gone down in size over the decades (hardly big enough to be called a Big Mac anymore), but now they are so stingy with the sauce that the burger is pretty much dry. And putting on catsup, just doesn't make it taste right. So, considering also how bad it is for me (so full of fat and cholesterol), I quit eating them altogether. Heck, quit going to any McDonalds at all. Jack in the Box usually treats us better, so we give them our money instead.
Yeah, I agree. I just never thought everyone (well, a few people) would end up so hot-headed about it and it would end up with two pages of mostly two people arguing so much. But wow! Yeah, it was whiny. the few times I posted after my post, I had been in a bad place and was lashing out. My fault. And yeah, my beginning post was whiny. At least I can happily say McDonalds no longer gets my money, and in the end that is what counts to me. To say the least, this is the very last time I even check this complaint. It went way beyond the small question I had asked about
You are nothing but a bully, and I am not wasting my time further on this. You are not worth it.
But thanks to everyone else who actually bothered to answer, and without the attitude!
Wow, some people really need to get a life! Like stealthpilot and 123321
If you don't like my question, then why answer? You have nothing better to do with your time? I'm not mad, I honestly could care less about your opinion. And will not put any more of my precious time reading your ridiculous comments (not everyone else's, just those two). I asked a real question, and just wanted a real answer. And no, you two most certainly did not give a real answer.
It was just something that had always bothered me. And, to be perfectly clear, I don't eat the Jack in the box burgers. They have salads. You know, greens? Vegetables? The complaint was me just wondering why McDonalds is so stingy about their sauce. Are all of the other 'whiners' who commented McDonalds employees?
Anna- Complaining on a site like this about the lack of sauce on your big mac is exactly as you said... just whiny.
She is hardly a bully.
Jack in the box is terrible for you too. Anyways, you think sauce is free? Well it isn't. You get what you pay for.
no staff on mccafe
My husband and I attended Mcdonalds at Heathcote at 8.30pm on tuesday the 28/12/2010. We lined up at the Mccafe and waited to be served, their was nobody at the counter so we waited their was a young employee who walked up to us after waiting about ten minutes, this boy told us their was no service on this counter as they were just to busy and if you want coffee go order it at the main counter.the service in this store is all ways appalling, the store is never clean, tonight their was milk sitting on the counter with out its lid on, their was also two cartons of milk sitting on the bench not in the fridge.I feel this store needs more suppervission. your sincerly elizabeth blanch
large shakes
What’s the deal with the new McDonalds’ large shakes. What a rip off. You use to be able to get a large shake in a large cup. Now you get a medium shake with a squirt of cool whip and a cherry for the price of a large. What’s up with this? If I wanted a medium shake with that stuff on it, I would ask for it. I want a large shake again. Pay more, get less.
Calling a medium a large does not make it a large, it makes it a rip off and McDonalds a bunch of THIEF’s!
Paying $2.50 - $3.00 for 10 drinks of a shake. What a deal, not! I am wondering if McDonalds is doing this everywhere or if this is a local rip off.?
If you are going to down grade you should consult the customer. They handed me this shake as if I was suppose to act as if nothing had changed. What if I changed my mind? They would have had to throw it away.
They could take the time to ask me to bend over before they start to screw me.
Should have told me about the change before they made it. I would not have wasted anyone’s time.
Times are already hard, now fast food has got to screw the little guy.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have not bought a MD shake since the first time they handed me a medium size for a large.
They need to go back to using the same cups the soda comes in. Why should somebody get a lot more soda as a medium compared to a tiny plastic cup that's not even close to the same size. The new way is made with syrup that isn't even mixed in. Also the shake needs to be thicker. Got awfully runny before I got half done. What a disappointment. All this so we don't have to pay as much. The idea of going there was to get that big paper cup filled with thick ice cream, not some pretty looking cup with cream and cherries. It's fast food for God's sake, not a Starbucks or Gloria Jeans. Americans want real burgers, fries and shakes. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS. Thank you.
For those that dislike the shake size or its appearance, feel free to purchase ice cream and milk and make your own or frequent another shake place.
I really hate the new shake..I will never order a shake from McDonalds again! If I wanted a Starbucks "look" I would go there. It's too bad they changed it! :o/
Well I have to say that I am glad it wasn't just me. I just ordered a med. shake and they handed me a small with a gob of whipped cream on top! I looked at him like "are you serious?"! Then handed it back and told them to remake it cause I HATE whipped cream! Spraying whipped cream on it and putting a dome lid on does not make a med. shake become a large! That is like a 5ft person putting on 6 in heels and saying they are normally that tall! Hello! If I wanted a med. shake I would have order it! Thanks but give me what I order if you want me to return! I actually googled to see if all MDs were doing this! I was shocked!
32 oz for $3.50 is fare but 16 oz for $3.50 is a ripe-off. To hand your customer half of what they used to get and play it off as is nothing has changed is bad business practice. Good by Mick [censored]. Going back to Frosties for my sugar fix.
ARE YOU SERIOUS? Capitalism? Poor Planning ? We're talking chocolate shakes - what the heck! Look it's not capitalism (###) or poor planning (Jack Wagon) it's the old bait and switch. When you pay for product X for years then one day you order product X and get product y it's human nature to be upset. Sure you don't have to buy it but that's not the point. the point is that the consumer is used to a known product in a know quantity at a known price. If that changes the consumer has a right to complain and make his point known in an effort to persuade the selling party to return the product to it's original state. If that happens YAY for the consumer. If not - move on to a better place. I agree with the Chris32344543. McDonald's is trying to be something they are not. McDonald's should forget about being like Starbucks and just stay McDonald's. Great shakes, great fry's and good fun. This whole McCafe thing is a marketing campaign I personally DO NOT like. I too like the old shakes. I don't order shakes at McDonald's anymore.
Just experienced the same thing this week, in New Hampshire. Ordered the large shake they asked if I wanted whipped cream and a cherry? I said no, why? They said well, we "This is the large sized shake, " she said. To which I inquired, "since when?" Since Monday she said. I then asked if it was the same price. She answered, "Yes, no change." I told her that's too bad, McD's is going to lose a lot of buisiness and told her to keep the shake and give me my money back. GOODBYE Mickey D!
At the mcdonalds near me, they lowered the prices by a lot... A small shake is $1.99 instead of the usual $2.70 ish. Its because they down sized it thats why we lowered the price. I don't know about you guys. The new small shake cup is equivalent to a small iced mocha/latte cup, and a medium is equivalent to a medium iced mocha/latte cup etc.
Did you consult with the counter staff about the size of the cup? When they handed the cup to you, you had the option to tell them you changed your mind and request a refund. To complain about it this long after you left the restaurant is poor planning on your part.
bad service always, rude jerks who work there
always bad service here at the hand out window. The people are always rude jerks, they shove your things at you, rude, mean bad attitude... it never changes. It seems they only hire bad mannered losers to work at this place, people are never nice and only rude. Not a good place to go to at all and these idiots need to be trained in customer service

I eat at McDonald a lot my is I like to eat my breakfast in the car & it's hard for my husband to get in and out, so when I go in to get some more soda first thing you hear dine in only, we still buy our food there we have our cups what's the big deal it don't make sense. I go alone with the wrong orders and you can't get any soda because you ate in the car that is so crazy. this happen all of the time in Birmingham center point. east lake area.
If it is that bad then why do you continue to go there? Just asking...
order messed up
i went to mcdonalds on dec 20 2010 i ordered my food and paid then noticed that i was chared and extra big mac i did not order and got attitude from the female taking my order. me and my wife just got back from iraq and we really liked going to mcdonalds but this time was the last. i now realize why other service members have told not to go to mcdonalds it is full of bad service and then to get your order wrong and even gave me the wrong drink. i dont know if this matters to anyone but if you spend money eating out go to another fast food place so you wont have to suffer rude service.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
i was in iraq too and when my unit came back as soon as we landed in the states the local mcdonalds was there handing out free drinks and free food for us. i been to iraq twice and each time i came back mcdonalds was there for us. please do not use being in iraq as an excuse for sympathy many of us have been there and why blow off all mcdonalds because you had 1 bad visit. just shut the f up because you know you stood there in line when mcdonalds was handing out free food to service members returning from iraq.
mcdonald's franchisers in hot plate
McDonald's is a company of stocks...not the vision of Ray Crock. I watched MdDonald's corporate destroy my hardworking honest father after he worked his whole life as a franchisee with all kinds of awards and recognition. One day he told them he was retiring and wanted to sell his store. You would think this good store owner of 35 years had signed with the devil! They started giving him horrible scores on thier inspections instantly and devalued his store to be worth NOTHING! For 35 years every time my father got ahead, McDonalds would find some new equipment he HAD to have or would make him totally remodel so he was ALWAYS in debt.
What a racket! No wonder people find the food unpalatable. There is nothing in it thats good.

unjust employee rules
I am very tired of hearing my friends complain about Mcdonalds employee rules. I am not employed, but I've heard enough complaints to the point I know what goes on around there.
Number one.
I hope a manager there reads this.
My cousin recently worked in Mcdonalds. ( He can get into better jobs than this but he was here for a short period of time so he had no choice)
My cousin has severe back problems. So just as he started to work, he asked one of the managers if he can go home because his back started to hurt.
Then the manager said " No you may not. We have a packed schedule and no one is allowed to switch for today"
So guess what, he didn't end up home when he was suppose to.
So after 6 hours, he finishes.
My dad and I drove to Mcdonalds because he called us.
So I escorted him to the car.
We got home. Then we took him to the hospital. The doctor says that he apparently got really bad.
Then, without hesitation, I just screamed on top of my lungs,
"NO ###ING WAY"
Guess what, if work is more important than health to you then why don't you try getting pregnant and see if you can work while your wife is in deep pain.
SECONDLY
My girlfriend also works there.
She can get a better job too, just that she's in high school.
I recently asked her to change her maximum work time to 7. Every time. And the first time she was registering, I also saw her putting her availability to the maximum of 10pm. But all of a sudden, it's ignored
She tells me that they don't care.
Well I can tell that the managers have no more future, but some people there actually do have good grades. jeez.
Kay Mcdonalds, get a better system.
Im tired of you guys. really. I am.
I don't know how long I can POSSIBLY deal with their system.
It's just so unorganized.
I hope a Mcdonalds

playland
McDonald's went to all the expense to change the outside appearance and a new playland. I took my grandchildren ages 2 and 5 this early evening. Both grandchildren were so excited about the new playland and knew if it was dirty as previous prior to the remodeling we wouldn't be going. NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Rules posted say SOCK REQUIRED. PLAYLAND FOR...
Read full review of McDonald'srude managers trying to use a coupon
I go into stores and fast food restaurants, even doctors offices now with the expectation that I'm going to get treated like crap and I have to go out of my way to be super nice or else someone is going to really lay into me. Well I ventured into a mcdonalds the other day and tried to order a grilled chicken sandwhich meal with a medium fry, and I had a coupon for a free drink with any purchase. So I asked the obese manager if I could please use my coupon and she looked at it, threw it across the counter, and said in a loud obnoxious voice "WHAT YOU WANT TWO DRINKS? CUZ THE MEAL COME WIT A DRINK AND IF YOU USE THIS COUPON YOU AINT GONNA GET THE DRINK FOR FREE' And I said ok nevermind and put it back in my pocket feeling humiliated and degraded. HOW EMBARASSING!
I didn't get an attitude with her, I just walked out after I got my food with my dignity stripped by how loud she was and getting my coupon flung across the counter.
I'm sick of being treated like that by people.
I don't know why I waste my money at sickening establishments like this.
I won't anymore I know that much.
I know customers aren't always right, trust me I've worked with people and many customers are a lot less than pleasant, but I just put on a fake smile and did my job.
I even worked at Mcdonalds once, so I know the job sucks. But this woman is a manager for crying out loud, you'd think she would have learned the proper way to handle it is to calmly explain why I couldn't use a coupon to get a drink if I was already getting a meal...which to me doesn't seem right anyway because if she would of just took the sandwhich and fries and rung them up separate, and then used my coupon for the drink, I would have gotten a deal! But instead their employees would rather bully the customer and embarass them.
Thanks Mcdonalds.
OK WHY COULDN'T SHE HAVE JUST SAID POLITELY INSTEAD OF THROWING THINGS AT ME AND TREATING ME LIKE AN ANIMAL. That is the complaint I could care less about the coupon at this point or if I had to pay for the meal, but I wouldn't think anyone would want to be spoken to like that.
No I'm not going to accept customer service like that from a restaurant. I would never treat my customer like that. They do dumb things all the time at the office where I work and if one of them came in and tried to pay their account with a credit card I wouldn't run them out and scream at them and throw the card over my desk at them...I'd just say, like I always do, sorry mam but we accept cash, check, or money order only at this time. Thanks for your understanding. Unfourtunately America has gotten used to this way of life of treating people like crap and the cycle goes on and on and people just accept it and blame themselves. (LIKE ME) Glad I came on here to report it. Goodnight.
It said with ANY PURCHASE. It didn't say you couldn't order a meal so I figured it wasn't a big deal. Besides do you really think that deserves the coupon flung back at me and a loud voice? These people are paid to take orders and help the customer. I shouldn't have to figure out that I can't use my coupon by getting yelled at like I'm mentally handicapped or a child who just knocked over the mop water for Christ sakes. I just ordered a meal and tried to get my drink free. I didn't realize how foolish of me that was.
after having the coupon thrown back at me I really didn't want to take up any more of her time for fear of what else she might do.

I had to comment further. Mc Donalds does not make ANY money by not withholding federal taxes! They don't keep any money! You actually get the money, when they don't withhold taxes then you have more on your paycheck! When they withhold taxes they have to send it into the IRS. Complaining to the IRS will get you laughed at! Every business in the United States HAS to follow the TAX LAWS! It is illegal to do otherwise. You, as the employee, are responsible as to know what is on your paystub and to act accordingly! Blaming the company is foolish!
Companies have to take out taxes according to the tax laws, in effect last year! Laws have changed for 2011. Taxes are taken out according to how much you make. The amount taken out was reduced as part of the recovery stimulus. In other words, instead of paying money to the government each paycheck, you instead was able to keep it, but because of that, if you did make too much throughout the year, you were responsible to pay your share of the taxes. Considering that you did not have any money withheld, tells me that you may be able to claim some credits to reduce your tax liability. Also, you are eligible for the "make work pay" credit which is $400.00, so that will reduce your tax liability by that amount at least. I believe that the stimulus ended, so now you should be paying in the normal amount, which is what you are seeing on your current paystubs. In order to avoid having to pay in and to recieve a refund you should change your filing status or have some additional amounts taken out. It is not the companies fault! They have to follow the law!
If your pay rate didn't change, didn't you notice extra money in your pay check caused by them not taking out federal taxes? Just saying...
