Mike Haggerty Buick GMC We got our car in for an oil change and to check the air conditioning

We got our car in for an oil change and to check the air conditioning. They said it would be $300 just to check the air. We said, that’s crazy, just do the oil change. They called and said our transmission was leaking and there was a noise, so they needed to fix that for almost $1000. We took it to our local guy who FIXED the air for $280 and said there’s NOTHING wrong with transmission. Liars. Don’t trust these scammers. What’s funny is we were planning on buying a new Encore from them next week. Sorry guys, we are going somewhere else. Who would do that knowing how much everyone is struggling to pay their bills right now? Mike Haggerty Buick on 93rd and Cicero.

Mike Haggerty Buick GMC I took my car to their service department cuz the engine light was on

I took my car to their service department cuz the engine light was on. They put my car on the diagnostic machine and told me I needed a new battery, so I bought it. On the invoice, it said they checked the engine under boost and made sure the turbo components were working (for now). They also cleared some DTC thing and test drove the car. But now, after 2 weeks, the engine light is back on. They want me to bring the car back so they can charge me more money, probably to put a new turbo booster. I think they're just trying to scam me and get more money instead of fixing the real problem. If you're thinking of going there, be careful how they treat older folks and people of color. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Mike Haggerty Buick GMC Every summer since we got our GMC, this place has been fixing my AC on my 2014 Acadia

Every summer since we got our GMC, this place has been fixing my AC on my 2014 Acadia. Actually last summer they gave it to me and it was hot 10 mins later after my service! Every summer it breaks again. I was in Branson, MO with my 7 and 6 year old 8 hours away from our home in Chicago in 98 degree weather and my air went out again. I stopped at a GMC dealership on the highway and a very nice experienced tech said that it is so bad that now my compressor and all lines need to be fixed—all the parts will take 3 weeks and it could not be charged! We tried calling Haggerty’s GMC’s service manager and GMC corporate to find a solution as it’s not safe for children to be in a hot car and nobody called back!

Mike Haggerty Buick GMC I went to Mike Haggerty Buick GMC, Inc

I went to Mike Haggerty Buick GMC, Inc. with my 2011 Buick Enclave recently. My car wouldn't start, and I thought it was the starter. After spending $2700, they told me that my flywheel and motor mount needed to be replaced. It took them almost 2 weeks to fix it. However, when I got my car back, I noticed that it wasn't heating up properly and the air was barely blowing. Something was definitely wrong. I called them to let them know, and they told me to bring it back. After another week, they informed me that my timing chain was going bad, my transmission was slipping, the actuators were messed up, there was a stuck or broken door that affected the defroster and heater, my autostart no longer worked, and the check engine light was on. None of these issues were present before. They estimated that it would cost at least $4000 to fix everything. I declined their offer and asked for my car back. The car I received from them is not the same car I had before. They have damaged my vehicle and instead of taking responsibility, they simply said, "it's just a bad car you bought." I strongly advise against going there and ending up like me. I still owe $8000 on this car, as I've only had it for less than 2 years, and now I'm struggling to figure out how to fix all these problems. Avoid them at all costs!

Mike Haggerty Buick GMC This dealership ain't trustworthy!

This dealership ain't trustworthy! They cheat customers! I had a real bad experience here. Like 3 years ago, I leased a 2018 Buick and now my lease is almost up in like 2 months. So they called me to talk about what's next, whether I should buy this car or get a new lease. They told me it would be $27k if I wanna own it. I trusted them (big mistake) and signed the new contract on a Friday afternoon. But when I got home and looked at my old lease agreement from 3 years ago, I saw that the price should've only been $20k. So I went back the next morning and had them cancel the unfair contract. After that, I got a car loan from American Eagle Bank with a way lower interest rate than what this dealer gave me (2.74% vs 3.99%) and the price was $20k. So basically, this dealer tried to buy the car from me without telling me and then sell it back to me at the same time! They made me sign a bunch of papers and didn't even give me copies. Turns out, those papers were saying that I was gonna sell the car to them. They were trying to squeeze an extra $7,000 outta me! It's straight-up abuse! So please, don't go there. I'm lucky I got the new contract canceled, but not everyone will be so lucky. I bet they got all sorts of tricks up their sleeves to cheat customers. This dealership has a real bad rep, you can find out for yourself.

I went to the service department to get my car serviced on 10/3/22 and got it back on 10/14/22. I called them on 10/17/22 to tell them I wasn't happy with the repairs. I took my car back to the dealership on 10/18/22, but they gave me a different reason for the problem. They wouldn't give me a refund or fix my car properly.

Mike Haggerty Buick GMC, Inc. and their staff members, *** and ***, didn't assist me in getting leather installed in my vehicle. They didn't follow up with me, and when I called to check, Katie *** was very rude on the phone and kept delaying me. They have a 'we owe' agreement with me, but they seem to be ignoring it. I can't help but think that they are giving me the runaround because I am a Black Woman. I had to talk to their boss to finally resolve this situation. It's absurd.

Mike Haggerty Buick GMC On 4/6, I brought my car to Mike Haggerty Buick GMC, Inc

On 4/6, I brought my car to Mike Haggerty Buick GMC, Inc. for some service. They informed me that I needed multiple repairs, including a gasket, chain, tensioner, actuator, pipe, timing chains, and trans cooler lines. I agreed to have the department fix these issues. However, a few days later, I discovered that the problem was still occurring, so I made arrangements to bring the car back.

On 04/21, I went to pick up my car, and they told me that there was no problem. However, I noticed that they had added a seal to the invoice. I had a heated discussion and went back and forth with the department, but ultimately, I decided to give up.

In June , my car started stalling and losing power. Now, it won't even shift into gear.

Mike Haggerty Buick GMC Purchased a 2016 Nissan Juke on March 8, but no Wisconsin plates by May 8.

Purchased a 2016 Nissan Juke on March 8, without receiving Wisconsin plates by May 8. Contacted the dealership regarding the delay. They had sent an incorrect payment to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, resulting in an overcharge of $273.50 for tax, license, and title fees. Despite discussions with GM Financial, the overpayment has not been refunded. As of May 19, attempts to reach the dealership for resolution have been unsuccessful.

Mike Haggerty Buick GMC I had my car towed to Mike Haggerty Buick GMC, Inc

I had my car towed to Mike Haggerty Buick GMC, Inc. on August 31, 2022 because I lost my key fob and key kit, and the car kept cutting off due to a dead battery. I needed all three things fixed, so they suggested cutting a new key and installing it with the key kit to see if the car would start. I waited a couple of days, but they never performed a diagnostic test to determine the actual problem. They just kept insisting that I needed new parts.

Finally, they called and informed me that the starter needed to be replaced, and I also needed a new radiator. After the radiator was installed, I took the car for an emissions test, and it failed. The emissions test revealed that I needed a breather hose. Since they never conducted a diagnostic test that I'm aware of, and they never provided me with an itemized list of the necessary repairs from the beginning, I don't know if they installed the breather hose or not.

I would appreciate it if they would cover the cost of the front stabilizer link and the breather hose, assuming it wasn't already installed.

Mike Haggerty Buick GMC We bought a used 2013 **** F150 on 6/16/2022

We bought a used 2013 *** F150 on 6/16/2022. *** Haggerty was our sales rep. I told her we would come up Thursday to test drive it and if we liked it, come back up Friday to buy. After several hours of texts, emails, phone conversations, videos, and photos, she had me/us convinced this truck was 100% what we needed and we needed to hurry and jump on it. 4 wheel drive was a huge selling point as we live in ***. A few days later, we took it out to the country to the in-laws to work on it and fix some cosmetic issues we were NOT made aware of. We test drove the 4 wheel drive and it died on the spot. It stalled in the middle of nowhere. I immediately called *** and asked what could be done. She admitted to it not being checked. Then we spoke with the general manager *** and he admitted it too. He told me to get a quote on what it would be to fix it. He made no promises but he would "try". We went and got a quote and sent it to him. *** then told me that the owner wasn't interested in helping us. I threatened to file a complaint and then he said, "I'll pay $200" (the bill was $2500). After more phone calls, he agreed but only if we drove to them 2.5 hours away to do it. We did. DROVE IT ALL THE WAY HOME 4 DAYS LATER AND NOTHING WAS FIXED ON IT AT ALL. I can't get them to call me back or answer my emails. They did nothing to it. Nothing works. 4 high or 4 low. No one will get back to me about it at all to try again to fix the problem. I have emails from *** telling me they were going to fix it.

Mike Haggerty Buick GMC On 6/7, I bought a 2016 Buick Encore from **** Haggerty Buick

On 6/7, I bought a 2016 Buick Encore from *** Haggerty Buick. When I left the parking lot, I heard a small noise, but I didn't think much of it. A week later, the sound came back and got worse. The car started jolting and shaking. On 6/21, I brought it back to the dealership and *** checked it out. They eventually found out that a module on the rear differential needed to be replaced. On 7/3, they fixed the module, but then they told me that the entire rear differential needed to be replaced. I made an appointment for 7/30 to get the whole rear differential replaced. After driving for almost an hour, they turned me away when I arrived because their workers were maybe going on strike on Sunday, which they did. I kept following up for about 2 months to see if they were off strike. I spoke with a manager who said our car was fine to drive as normal but didn't recommend it. Finally, on 10/14, they replaced the rear differential, over 3 months after the diagnosis.

In the next few months, I continued to have issues with the car. There was some jerking and delay in forward motion. This problem started to get worse over time. I didn't feel comfortable going back to Buick service because of their history. I didn't trust their service. On 1/16/22, the engine started smoking and smelling while I was driving. I had to get an oil leak fixed. In the following months, the jerking became even worse, and there was a significant delay in forward motion.

On 4/21/22, the car broke down, and I had to get it towed. On 4/26/22, I took the car to ***. They diagnosed that a new transmission was needed and needed to take a further look. On 4/28/22, I visited the mechanic, and they told me that I needed a new computer, new transmission, new transmission box, new gears, and a new AC compressor. The total cost to fix everything was $5,692.43, but they gave me a discount. *** explained that this type of damage happens over time and most likely started before we purchased the car. The broken computer could have contributed to all the issues we've had with the car. I am seeking restitution for the recent repairs. Additionally, there are more issues, such as a bent wiper arm, and the *** 172 point inspection failed.

On Monday, December 20 at 7:30 AM, I took my Yukon Denali to the service department at *** Haggerty GMC for an evaluation on what may possibly be causing a battery discharge. It was kept until Wednesday for repair. On Wednesday evening when I arrived to pick up my vehicle at the service location, I was a bit puzzled when asked to wait outside for my truck to be brought up front to us as I noticed the gentleman that drove my truck sped out of the service department parking lot on my truck. However, I figured they were all trying to head out home and were being careless. To our surprise, my husband noticed before leaving the service location that our windshield had a huge crack on the windshield. Please note that we were informed that our CD player was replaced from the dashboard while repairing the discharge that was originally occurring on our vehicle. It is my assumption that in the process of the repair, they could have carelessly impacted my windshield and caused the crack that clearly shows it was impacted right above the CD player. We brought it to the staff's attention and asked that they take pictures and no one did place effort in assisting us. I did call and text our service assistant *** and made him aware of the incident as well as sent him before and after pictures of my vehicle for his review. I made *** aware that prior to taking my vehicle to get serviced, I had taken pictures of my vehicle and it clearly shows no cracks on my windshield. I am disappointed at the fact that I spoke to both *** and *** on Thursday, December 23, and was asked to bring it in for repair on Monday, December 27, and upon arrival to the service shop, my husband was informed that it was pending approval from a supervisor and the blame was now shifted to the dents being on the window and cracks being not their responsibility. I called and spoke to the supervisor *** once again and indeed they are not willing to repair.

Hello, my name is Laura. I went to get my car serviced at Haggerty Auto in Oaklawn on 3/5/2022. I went in because of a clicking sound on the right front passenger side. They claimed it was a broken sway bar. I requested a check on brakes and tires due to noise when stopping. The service manager insisted it was the sway bar, which they 'fixed.' However, the sound persisted after I left. I called back, but they had closed. That day, other customers, including the owner's daughter, reported poor service. I returned on 3/9, and they identified the issue as the front right strut, costing an extra $356. As a nurse, missing work is costly. The manager provided incorrect information again. I chose to go to another service provider. The issue remained. On 3/12, I visited the dealership where I bought the car. The technician there identified the real problem as my brakes and rotors, with brakes at 3% instead of 10%, and rotors needing replacement. Haggerty had charged me for a diagnostic they never performed. I enrolled in a payment plan for the repairs, but I want my $160 diagnostic fee refunded and the $1,013 charges from the plan stopped.
