insurance on my vehicles
Good day.
I cancelled my policy in the 20/03/20. It went smoother than I thought.
I got confirmation of the vehicles being cancelled from their side.
It's now the 2/04/20 and I have been debuted the full amount for the vehicles.
I have tried to call 6 times this morn with voice mails coming my way and messages being left with no return call. Plz could some one help me out with this issues on [protected]

I requested my policy to be cancelled as MiWay has been charging me R50 every month for NO COVER! I email ernest requesting a cancelling letter confirming my request via email. NOT ONCE did he reply to my emailS, he tried calling but I stated in my email that I would like communication via email, when speaking to Ernest he advises me I can add a vehicle to my policy why would I want to add a vehicle when my request is for a cancellation? I have been paying R50 every month this entire year and probably last year for NO COVER!

I decided to change to my way because their qoute was cheaper. The first premium was supposed to be debited on 1 October 2019. The payment was not debited. I have enough funds. I called again to query why the money was not debited because I was stressed about not being covered. I was assured that the matter would be resolved and the debit was not allowed. {I don't know why} they resubmitted the debit and it still didn't go through. I was told to wait 3 days. After 3 days I called and was told to wait 7 days. I then went on to call constantly at my expense during work hours to resolve the problem myself. I was told that my bank was at fault. So I wasted fuel and time going to the bank only to get told that outside debits orders cannot be resolved at my bank. I did not put out any stop orders or anything so I am baffled as to why my debits were not taken. I feel as though I was taken advantage of and made to cancel my old insurance for absolutely nothing. If my matter can't be resolved I would resort to canceling and going back to my old insurance and paying more to avoid wasting time and money on miway.

Life cover
Good day,
I would like to cancel the life cover that I only saw the debit order without receiving any documents that I have to go through to see if I am happy with the premium and amount covered. We only did the telephonically call and I was promised the documents till now, I haven't received them but I was debited on the 25/08/2019 and I was never asked when will I like my debit order to go through. I don't even know my policy number, not sure if the beneficiaries I nominated are correctly captured. PLEASE no debit order should run this month.

no feedback on my excess a year and three months after accident
I was involved in an accident in 2018 where an individual drove into the back of my vehicle.
I paid the excess and the vehicle was repaired after back and forth with the repair company.
I am still waiting for my excess to be repaid to me after the claim was sorted I have emailed NonhlanhlaNh@miway.co.za and LegDocs@miway.co.za and I am still waiting for feedback as NO ONE GETS BACK TO ME...

No resolution was found. On the 29th of August miway contacted me and repaid me 900rand towards my excess paid. I was informed that the matter was handed to their attorneys... Another 4 months later I am again waiting for feedback and my excess which is rightfully mine...

Last year the 2 July I submitted a claim for two Tvs that was damaged due to lighting, only one was replaced..the claim process was so intense and the claims officer made me feel like I was lying or hiding information I was asked multiple times if I'm telling the truth and if this really happened. I was actually 9 months pregnant and in pain but didn't even bother your assessor one bit to still integrate me anyway, thank you for the tv we eventually bought another didn't wanna go through that drama again.
22 July 2019 I submitted a claim again process was much easier and simple this time was too good to be true.
This Morning as I step into my office I got an email from your claim profile department stating I am a risk and need to take further steps I then called the number in the email to get clarity on what is happening and the manager seemed so annoyed.
Now my question to you is why do I have insurance if I can't claim if my goods are stolen or damaged?
why does use call if I miss a premium but have issues paying out?
why do you make me feel guilty for claiming or make me feel like a lair when this is my benefit?
I actually don't see the point in having insurance anymore I might as well just save my R400.00 every month so if something does get stolen or damaged I might as well just pay from my savings and not please explain to you also not get crapy emails to say im a risk and if I cancel my insurance I will have difficulties getting another.
Miway insurance sucks I had to stay with first for woman your call center agent make it sound wonderful but my experience with you is horrible.
I would never in a million years recommend you to family friends or co-workers.

My claim number is :c1077905. I am not satified with the access which I must pay as I joined miway being under impression that miway is cheaper than my previous insurence. I requested the clip of my conversation with client service personnel when I joined the myway even now I have not received it. I specifically told him the reason why was paying high premium was the fact that my son is less than 25 years and my wife just got her license and I was told that with miway it is not the case, but to my surprise, I am now informed that I must pay r4000 because my son is under 25 years of age exactly what I have asked in my discussion with myway.
I not happy with the fact that I am going to pay much more than the insurance on my access aftre being mislead.
I have tried to take this matter with the supervisor of kwena people but still to day she never bothered to call me to understand what my concerns are. the below are what to be paid by each party from the miway. see below email from myway

poor customer service

I am a miway client and I feel really disappointed in the poor service I have been receiving the last 7 months. my wife (main driver) had an accident on the 28th of october 2018 when another car did not stop at a stop street and collided with her.
The car was sent to a panelshop after we paid r5500 excess which I understand is to be claimer from the driver at fault. I sent all the pics and information to miway agent justin smith. I have sent him numerous emails asking what the status of my claim was but to no avail. my case nr is c1014442.
The other driver in question, mr dambile ntlomo, is also a miway client and drives a renault sandero reg. cl 58552. can someone please assist as I am really not happy.
roadside assistance
I'm really not happy about the poor service I received yesterday I called 3, 25pm and all my roadside assistance call were being cancelled for starters I explained that i'm in a hotspot I could be hijacked but no.. I'm the one who kept calling to ask if I will be assisted anytime soon i'm very disappointed because this was the second time this thing happening I really don't think I will continue with miway and i've never even made any accident claim god forbid should I be in an accident I will be given problems.. I don't see an future with miway anymore

third-party repair and assessment by assessor
Miway client reversed into my vehicle on the 9 December 2018. I went to AlfaTrio panelbeater and got a quote for the damages. Quote was sent to Miway and they are only prepared to pay half of the costs for repair. The Assessor was never out to view the vehicle or to the panelbeater. The Original quote was for R7527.44 and Miway is only prepared to pay R4150.00. I am not happy with the service as a 3rd party claimant and would like some assistance.

Good day . I am a policy holder car insurance On 23rd - 24th of January my Husband requested a quote and accepted car insurance for Mazda 2 1, 5L . The price was given R624 and we requested payment to be linked to my debit order.
Consultant who was helping us suddenly could not give me a total price and online access to my profile was blocked.
I have called contact center 086646464 at 10.48 on 28 Jan and was given an answer that my policy was suspended and nothing she can do about that.
Please provide me with more clarity about what is happening with my policy. If problem will persist I will cancel both covers.

The other guy bump my car at the back and now they said my car is writen Off, it is very difficult for my way to pay me and their buzy deducting money from my account, i want to know which car are we insuring by that money bcs the car is writen off

I am so dissappointed that Miway do not value or try to retain loyal customers.
I have been a loyal customer with Miway for 6 years uninterrupted service, no accident or stolen car. Paid monthly premiums every month without any hassles.
I purchased a new vehicle and wanted to include in my current policy but because of their high premiums and not willing to better the current prices that I received, I was forced to cancel.
I will spread the word and make sure that all my friends and family who are with Miway get to know and look else where for a company who cares and willing to retain their customers.

Hi it's been 32 days since I had my accident and for some reason I still have not received my as the repairer has requested for additional funds from my insurer but miway is not stepping up and releasing these funds . I need a vehicle for my day to day use and have reached my my 30 day period on my car hire so you can imagine my frustration with not having a vehicle and also not knowing when my vehicle is going to be ready . This really is not great service it doesn't if come close to good .

Your client bumped my car on 26 June today after almost 3 months I am still waiting for you to pay out R3500 that was confirmed with Lana Van Den Berg. My banking details was taken. I fixed my own car otherwise I would have still been driving with a bumped car. Please pay the R3500 as this is taking forever and is very frustrating as I did not bump your client's car but vice versa. Can it really take you that long to pay R3500.

On the 5th of June 2018, I received a call from Patricia.She told me about all the terms and conditions of the insurance policy, and I therefore requested her to send me a summary of my policy which I haven't yet received until today.I was therefore debited by Miway on the 20th of June which is not what we agreed to.I want to cancel this contract because it is very obvious that Miway staff is not competent enough, and i want my money back.

My car was bumbed into end January 2018, i gave all the info from the other party to miway, up to date i had 2 call backs from their legal department, they said i have to pay the R4600 excess after 4 months still not resolved, i called to cancel my insurance with them, after calling them twice, the senior supervisor was arrogant and never gave me time to finish a sentence or answer my questions, just said im cancelling it and hung up me on me, my question was i hope that end June is the last deduction off my account to miway? never received a mail or sms stating my insurance was cancelled! their staff members are incompetent and arrogant, its all their way and not miway, never had a good time in 2 and a half years with them, always a story... Hope they loose all their clients and close down, useless (way)

My car was bumbed into Janaury 2018, which was not my fault, i sent all documentation of the other party to mi way, they expect me to pay the R4600 + excess, the damage on the vechile is not even R4600, had 2 calls from them in 4 months, just phone to cancel my insurance was told the senior supervisor will call back in 5min, after i hold the line for 10min, called back after 15min, hold on for 6min, spoke to a cocky supervisor who not let me finish a sentence, said he will cancel and put the phone down, now hope they understand June will be the last deduction from my account as your senior supervisor put down the phone, thuis is not mi way its your way, cocky arrogant staff, useless, always want things their way, hope they loose all their customers and close down...

I started with miway insurance in 2015, I paid all my premiums on time. I was involved in an accident in march 2018 which was not my fault, they paid out my claim. Unfortunately I had another incident last month which was also approved without any hassles.. My issue is not with miway paying out the claim it's about their service.
With the first incident they told me they were going to reimburse my excess if they could claim successfully from the third parties insure, up until today no one got back to me regarding that, every time I call they give me the run around story. With my new claim I was told about an additional excess that I need to pay, which I was not told about when I first join them. According to my understanding the sales agent that closed the deal in 2015 was supposed to disclose. I told them that I refuse to pay that excess cause I was not informed. I requested for the sales call but no one is getting back to me. My car is almost ready for collection from the panel beaters and they haven't come back to me. I am tired of calling and emailing coz no one response. I worked for an financial institution before and it doesn't take month to send a client a recording.
Miway is leaving me with no other choice but to take this matter to the ombudsman. Because I will not pay for something I didn't agree on, most clients don't even read there documentation, therefore there is sales agents to disclose all important things about their policy, and don't mislead or give false info just to seal the deal.
I need this to be sorted out before I get my car they need to waive that additional excess or proof to me that it was disclose at sales stage., I cant pay for something I wasnt told. Now they claiming that they send me the recording... Its very frastrating... Im not leaving this matter here, 2000 is alot of money!

I was reversing out of a company driveway, was enough time for me to reverse, Miway client was looking at her phone on her lap and didn't see me, therefore hitting into the back of my vehicle, all the other vehicles behind her slowed down as they all saw me reversing. Miway refuses to pay the claim, they say it doesn't matter if their client was on her phone and not looking at the road, I was reversing and therefore I was wrong. I even had a witness as to what happened, Miway didn't even contact him. It is obvious that Miway supports breaking the law that they protect their client from an accident whereas her being on the phone caused the accident, they refuse to pay anything. It has been a couple of days and Miway has not bothered to contact me even though they said they would, this behaviour just proves how unprofessional, unreliable and dishonest they are, they are only interested in protecting their clients that break the law.

Miway contacted my witness and acknowledges their client was on her phone, they sent me a paragraph explaining the reversing party was held to be 60% liable and the non-reversing party 40% liable. They took the cost of their clients car repairs and mine and equalled to me not getting any compensation for my vehicle. (typical) They now sink even lower and now are claiming from my insurance for their clients vehicle. Miway is unethical and they still support breaking the law. The law states that as long as your car motor is running you cannot be on your phone. At the scene of the accident she told my witness that she was on google maps and she told me she was checking a message, that she was on her way to work. "did she need google maps to get to work" Miway is such a joke and pathetic...
