Claim C1743253. I have logged in a claim on the 15th of October 2023 till today I am still without a car, my car rental has expired and now I am using my own money to rent the car because I need to get to work. The repairer is struggling with Additions/assessment department, they have logged additional for radiator fan but there is no response or approval. I have been calling miway all they do is to send emails to assessors and management but they can't let me speak to the assessors or management. I am helpless and the panel beater is closing soon for the holidays and I still do not have my car.
Claimed loss: I have spent R 6 800.00 so far to pay for rental car at AVIS after my 30 days rental expired.
Desired outcome: I want my car to be fixed not and get it before December and I want Miway to cover for all my car rental expenses.

Long waiting for my car to be fixed
I had an accident, a bumper and an inner cv joint was damaged. The claim was approved on 25 May 2023. I'm still without a car, reason is that the insurance struggle to find generic parts since the don't replace original parts for cars out of warranty.
I had to phone the insurance and pane beaters to get an update. Panel beaters are going to close. Can they provide me with transport for the holidays since I struggled to get to work the entire year as I was using the car for work.

Poor service and false promises

My claim was approved on 25 May 2023. Till today I'm still without my car because the insurance doesn't want to by the original parts that need to be replaced. The damage to my car was the bumper and the inner cv joint. Just imagine staying without a car that you use for work. Next month panel beaters will be closed till next year

Vehicle repairs
I filed a claim on the 17th Sept 2023, my car went in for repairs on the 19th Oct 2023, today (17th Nov 2023) the car is still not back, the service provider is waiting on MiWay to approve the quote that they authorised in the beginning. I have been on calls since 8 am and there’s still no resolution. They can’t transfer me to a manager nor assessor. I’m frustrated! Stranded. This is after paying an insurance since 2020 without defaulting, and the only time I claim I get such challenges 😭.

I requested a call back on Saturday to have a vehicle removed from my policy seeming the vehicle was sold. I managed to get through to a Miway consultant days later and were lied to over the phone which were the last straw for me on poor service and decided to cancel my policy with Miway. Miway neglected to contact me to complete the cancellation process and placed me on hold each time were left to listen to their music prompt over and over until hanging up several minutes later.
The service I got was just not what one would expect, poor client service, consultants with an attitude, left hanging on a phone call etc.
Again, today 13/02/2023 the same thing and still no confirmation of my policy being canceled.
MiMotor Combo - MiMotor Combo - Scratch and Dent + Tyre
and Rim is a scam from MiWay just to get you to buy in with a R99.00 each month and then being told that they do NOT cover this or that when trying to claim bent rims due to the roads not being vehicle worthy.
The consultant said according to her & not according to the policy that I can only claim ONE rim and not all 4 rims seeming the policy does not allow this. R10 000.00 policy does not allow claiming x4 bent rims as a result of potholes in the road?
So, then the consultant's manager advised that I could claim for all x4 rims as long as the claim amount is less than or equal to the R10k value. Again lies, lies, lies.
Enough is enough.
Please think twice before insuring with Miway.

Items taken from my vehicle whilst in the authority of miway insurance
On the 05 December 2022 I had an accident with my vehicle. Miway had my vehicle towed to their service provider auto nation. Pictures of my vehicle and items inside my vehicle was taken by auto nation. When I went to pick up my stuff from the vehicle with permission granted by miway. I discovered some items are not there. I informed the supervisor and the staff that was at auto nation that items are missing. They checked the photo's and concurred with me. The supervisor told me that that the manager will phone me later that day but never did. I informed miway that the stuff was missing. A few weeks later a team leader from miway phoned and asked me to get quotes for the items cos a cash settlement will be done. I gave it to miway and now they say they will not pay for the items.

1471106 - dodgy dealings
It's great to see a platform where clients are honest.
After an accident this insurance decided my car will be fixed by Fleet VIP Solutions. The panelbeater has been so dishonest from the first month of March about parts they ordered. They have a lady and guy working on orders, the guy always lie about the parts being ordered and if you were to call you will only discover that the parts were not ordered then she'd continue to order.
It's after 8 months and they are still ordering parts and MiWay was informed of this game they play from 13th May when I email the case handler M Gabisile, but she never responded. Called MiWay to let them know more 20 times and I keep getting a response that someone will call. Even their compliance person believes what the panelbeaters say that parts take time but I called Opel and at worst, parts took 3 weeks. She didn't investigate the time parts were orderd and when they arrived. I tried HelloPeter and just like this platform, they will promise that someone will call yet nobody does. MiWay knows about this company and how they operate but stick by them and protect them. They were only working on one side of the suspension and that took them 8 months and now they want to work on the other side. This car is no longer mine.
Desired outcome: Till they respond and do something, I will expose them on every platform I can find.
I am waiting for the call back still today as predicted. I’m convinced that I’m on the blocked list because Miway doesn’t want to admit that they sent my car to the worst panelbeater and don’t want to take accountability after approval. Got my car back 2 weeks ago with broken sensors on both left and right suspensions and after a day it won’t even start at all. It’s been 9 months and I informed them that a month after my car was at the panelbeaterthat they didn’t want to work on the car and lied a lot on parts ordered. Not one person called from Miway after endless calls on my side with the poor Miway first line consultants thinking I’ll be called back over and over again. Your assessor or your claims handler are running a scam. Even your consultants that I reach don’t understand what’s happening with how I’m ignore for all my reported complaints of the panelbeaters and having to wait 9 months for a mere suspension. With my first car and second car I’ve been with you for more than 6 years and not even one claim of an accident and I’m treated like this. I have never been in one accident for 34 years of my life till now and it’s not even a big one. I’d like to cancel my business with you. I’m sure I can fix this car using the monthly premiums than being scammed. I am tired of this scam you guys a running on me.

Insurance claim
It's been almost 2 months since I have reported and registered a claim. The person that is handling my claim is insisting that my access payable is R5000. I have the document to proof that I have agreed to an amount of R2000.
Needless to say - I am still waiting for the voice recording.
I need my car for work purposes. Extremely unprofessional to brush a client off and leave that person at her own mercy.

My wife`s car was driven by my daughter on 09/09 around 22h00 in PietRetief (Mkhondo) when she approached a slow moving bakkie that had no tail lights at the back. The driver of the bakkie just made a sudden stop in the middle of the road for no reason. Avoiding this bakkie my daughter swerved to the right trying to pass but quickly noticed that there was another car approaching in the opposite direction and by the time she returned to the left still avoiding this bakkie which later fled off, the car went off the road damaging the left front rim and tie rod end , bumper and windscreen but upon reporting the claim to Miway the agent called my daugther indicating that the claim is approved but in addition to the basic access there will also be an additional R3500 basic access to be paid as this did NOT involve another car so its considered as negligence.
We have four cars insured by this company and
very worried since I`ve never heard such with an insurance company.
Desired outcome: Reversal of the additional access charged.

Supporting Documents submitted a week post the accident
Response and offer received 27 July 2022. I have to date spent R54 000 to try and get my vehicle in working order. Miway had offered a settlement of R8 000 without assessing the car. I sent multiple quotes to support the extent of the damage.
Engaged with my lawyer for legal advice and provided the informed advise back to Miway on the 10th August. We have sent all supporting documents and followed up to date without a valid update.
Zanele Tiba was allocated to our case but post several concerns and complaints over updates and communication the case remains open.

Car repair not complete
I have a problem here I had an accident a while back and my vehicle was taken in for repairs at Technostar Durban , they repaired it but did not replace my nudge bar and when I ask why it wasn’t replaced they say it wasn’t covered because it is classified as an extra on the vehicle and I didn’t add it as an extra on my policy but was told to bring proof from vehicle manufacturer (toyota) to prove that the nudge bar is not an extra and that its a standard factory fitted “accessory” that came standard with the vehicle and is not an extra but a factory fitted “accessories” from Toyota and would really appreciate it if it was replaced and would like to state that if it is not replaced I will take legal action because I have proof to support my statement and I have attached the higher purchase documents to prove that the nudge bar it is an accessory and not an extra on the vehicle.

Good morning
I took out a business Car insurance with MIWAY for two of my bakkies that i use for my business, one of my bakkie got in the accident on the 22 June and still till to this date no communication have i received from the insurer .
I have to be the one to call them all the time and to my surprise , im always transferred from one person to another with no assistance at all.Miway has really bad customer service , they dont care at all for their customer and dont respect people Period.
The last i spoke to them they told me that they are still investigating and to this day i dont have a car for my business which is negatively affecting my business.

We are complaining about the constant sales calls from Miway Insurance we receive sometimes twice a day
We are getting daily sales calls from Miway Insurance my husband is always polite but firmly says "no thank you" and blocks the number, and yet the next day the same thing and sometimes twice a day, and each time he blocks the number.
We are unsure how to stop these very intrusive calls, please suggest what we should be doing.

This is the worse service I’ve received from MiWay, I phoned numerous times to ask how far my claim is. Phumzile( MiWay insurer) never attempted to contact me on the progress let alone giving me the correct information of what is needed for my claim. I have given all the information with quotations and yet she’s asking for more quotations! this is still not resolved!

Vehicle repairs claim c1454971
I’ve had issues during my vehicle repairs and now it seems to continue.
Since receiving my vehicle back from Fleet VIP, I could still hear the noise I heard after hitting a pothole. I informed the panel beater who asked for the vehicle to be sent for further testing. When they originally received my vehicle the front tyres were flat and the vehicle was stripped at their premises to evaluate the parts needed and it stood there for over a month before they completed the repairs. They did not do any further driving tests on the vehicle. They have now found that other suspension related parts are faulty and have submitted to MiWay for approval.
I also found that my front left wheel, which hit the pothole first was getting flat after a few hours and I’m having to pump it up a few times a day. I spoke with the panel beater and I was sent to Tiger Wheel yesterday who showed me that it was not tyre related and rather I had a crack on the same mag wheel. I now understand that the panel beater had send my mags in to be refurbished or repaired and has cracked less than a month after receiving it. I believe the integrity of the wheel is compromised after being repaired and now cracked. I don’t understand why it was not replaced? Repairing costs around R1500 and the rim replacement would be around R2500 from Minty’s Tyres (where it was purchased) I’d be happy to get a quote from Minty’s submit to you and you can pay me out and I will resolve this on my own. The up and down between panel beater and their suppliers is taking too much of my time.
Its clear that MiWay don’t manage anything around my claim and their suppliers and I’m forced to deal with all of this myself and I’m at the mercy of your panel beater. I reported these issues to you a few weeks ago and have not heard anything and had to take control and deal directly with your panel beater. My policy and agreement is with MiWay and no one else, I expect you to get involved and resolve all of this ASAP. I have already been inconvenienced for over a month of not having my vehicle and now I find sub standard work and incomplete repairs due to lack of testing originally.
