I alerted Denise Petzer a Senior Claims Adviser as to a possible outcome of product failure that would potentially lead to Product Liability Claims against Momentum.
I was assured by her that I had Product Liability cover to the value of 5 million and I was doing the right thing by advising them as to the potential claims and not to send out the products.
After filling in lengthy requested documentation they sent out a loss adjusters who was not able to confirm if my concerns were correct.
It was the opposite, they gave the product rave reviews!
BUT THEN IT CHANGED!
Once they had done that, Momentum threw the book at me and used every clause they could copy and paste to advise me that if I sent out the product I would be held responsible for any claims!
WARNING WARNING WARNING - MOMENTUM IN MY OPINION WILL MISLEAD YOU INTO BELIEVING YOU HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING AND THEY WILL THEN WALK AWAY AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT "WISH YOU GOOD LUCK" for the future :)
I suggest if you want to insure with Momentum, please realise that you go through to a call centre and you can "never again" get hold of your SENIOR CLAIMS ADVISER by telephone.
You can expect to be mislead and then have the book thrown at you for trying to asssit them!
