This company has called me EVERYDay 10-20 a day stating I owed them money for a payday loan I did on line in 2005. I did no such thing, don't owe any money to any payday company. They informed me the charges include theft by deception, and check fraud. They stated once the charges are made they are going to put me in federal prison. They will have me fired by the end of the month if I don't pay. They also went as far as to say they will have MY CHILD taken away because I was unfit and cant my my debts. They have called me every name in the book and even said 'May god have mercy on me' Ok.

This is such a scam, I don't owe these people anything. They are calling non-stop, and will not provide me with ANYTHING in writing. Everytime they call its a new payday company I owe and and new name calling me. However I have had it out with MR. Roger Smith ( bet that's as fake as he is). someone please help, I cant have them saying that about my child. I know this is against the law, but what can I do as they have told me!

This should not be surprising, the same this IS happening to me now ! I received 15 calls yesterday saying hte same thing. They are going to sue me, have me fired from my job and put me behind the jail LOL ! They would make sure I would never work again and may God have mercy on my soul! The calls have started again this morning( 3 so far) saying the same thing that I owe 497.00 and they are going to sue me ! Wants me to give them a pre paid credit card # with money on there to pay off the account. I ask them to fax me info showing I took out a loan (date & amount) and they said that they were not allowed to do that ! The badly speaking man that has been calling is supposedly Attorney David Cook with Morgan & Morgan or Officer Neil Johnson ( yeah right) the number they are calling from is [protected], suppose to be in Huntington Beach Ca. I can not pull up that number or loaction for so called Morgan & Morgan. I am calling the FTC & BBB in California. These crazy people need to stop and get a REAL JOB ! It always sounds like a call center and everybody saounds the same. It reminds me of the commercial on TV bout the Credit Card company saying ' This is Peggy" when its a really ugly man ! LMAO ! Hopefully they will be stopped soon. There is no telling how much money they have scammed out of people that they have scared and intemidated ! May God blessd their souls. !

This company also called me and said that they were going to have me arrested and said that they had my fingerprints and their investigation team would be at my door the next morning. They knew my name, address, name of my bank and my last employer. They were saying that I took out a holiday loan and never paid it back and it was for thousands of dollars. I immediately called my bank and told them about it and then I called the state troopers and made out a report. These people need to be stopped.

One is officer Don Smith the other is Attorney Michael Richard it shows up as an international # on Caller ID [protected] but the leave call back #'s in CA or New York . I spoke to the attorney HA!HA! today and told him to call my attoney he got mad then I told him he would be in big trouble the same thing he left on my voicemail if he called me again. I am reporting them and have s every voice mail.

I got a call from these people on Feb 14th 2011. they called me on my job saying the that i had an unpaid cash advance with Cash US. Mike Jones, which i thought was strange for someone with that accent. Anyway he told me that i was being sued for bank fraud, money laundering and something else. He tole me to be quiet while he read the law suit against me. out of panic and fear i agreed to settle. However i used a prepaid debit card which gave me time to research them. Your stories have been helpful. I have contacted the FBI and legal services.

John Adam with Morgan Associates has been calling me for the last week. They have called me several times at work and even left a message. I finally spoke with John on Feb 20, 2011. John tried to get me to confirm personal information and when I refused, he got mad and hung up. I called him back at [protected]. I tried to get more info from him like an address. Instead he tried to get me to buy a prepaid debit card and send $1000 although I supposedly only owed $595. I told him this was a scam and he responded that he wanted to [censor] me. Yes, he said that. I told him he was disgusting and hung up on him. He called me back eight times before he stopped. By the way, these monsters are off on the weekend so leave a bunch of messages on their lines like I did. I have filed a complaint with the FTC. I'm going to try to file something with the FBI as well. It's unbelievable that these people can't be stopped especially since they are harassing me at work.

I just received calls at my work from a William Scott who said I had a debt for a payday loan for $511 but wouldn't identify the loan company, etc. I told him to send me something in writing and not to call me at work again and then I hung up. He called right back. I had one of the attorneys here take the call (I work for a law firm), my attorney told him to stop harassing me at work and to give him his name and number so that he can file a suit against him - the man refused to give his name and number and finally hung up on my attorney. I looked online and there is an actual law firm called Morgan and Associates who says that if anyone gets a call from someone saying they are affiliated with them, to please notify your local authority and to also let them know of the incident via email at spoofing@morganassociatesplc.com. I just filed a complaint online with the FTC.

I just received the same phone call. Although I realized it was a scam the minute the guy said his name was "Mr. Smith", its reassuring to see so many others are experiencing the same issue. I filed a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau). Hopefully they can do something about this harassment! It does disturb me that they have all my personal information though!

I just spent the last hour and a half calling them back and harrassing them, the last day they called me! I kept asking for written info, would give no info, even got called filthy names and told I was harrassing them and they would file a suit. I am glad I looked them up, because today you never know whats really go on! I say to get rid of them, call them, spend the time they do, call back every 5mins and continue the line of questioning.

Call them and harrass them, that is what I did. I spent approximately 1.5hrs calling them and asking them questions. I was called filthy names, and threatened with a lawsuit for harrassment but so far nothing from them!

Hello all. I received a phone call from an Officer Roberts?*. Anyway, it was a person with an Indian accent who said he represented Morgan and Associates Law Firm. As everyone else, I had defaulted on a pay day loan. He initially stated that I could forget about it for $300, but before the conversation was over it was around $100. They refused to send any documentation with proof of the default. I have since contacted the FTC, as well as, Experian fraud alert. This is definitely a scam. It's just a shame that no one is doing anything about it.

These are terrible people. They recently started calling me, and their number shows up as [protected]. After several times of listening to the message, figured out it was this company. The man who calls me is an Alan White with an incredibly strong foreign accent. He claims I am going to be sued, and wants me to call him back and input my social security number. No way! I have debts that are being paid off through debt management and will be debt free in just 14 months, so I know there is nothing there. The debt they claim I owe was at first something that I am finishing paying and they said no payments since 2008 but I'm nearly done with it. And then it changed to a payday loan I have never taken out. They call all the time...6 calls this morning between 9 Am and 11 Am, with 3 voicemails, one of which was full of background noise and "Alan" cursing at me for not answering. Yesterday they called over and over and I hit ignore (it's on my cell) and so they immediately called right back. Why do they get away with this?

Are you kidding me? This thread was started 2 years ago and these monsters are still getting away with harrassing people. They have started calling me and I have never had a payday loan. They had my social and my personal email. They constantly call my personal cell phone and my company cell. I guy named Frank Stone or Storm, I couldn't understand because his accent is very thick, called me and left a call back number of [protected]. This is an Ohio area code. The caller ID on my personal phone showed unknown while the caller ID on my company cell showed this number [protected]. I'm assuming this call was made out of Mexico and the call back number he gave me was a cell phone with an Ohio number. He said I was being sued for $5000. I googled 419 area codes and found out that there are alot of scams coming from this area code. The callers are calling from other countries and the call back numbers they are leaving are prepaid cell phones with USA numbers. They have threatened to garnish my wages and contact my employer. I've already contacted my employer and they are aware of it. I also called my bank and had two passwords added to my account so that any activity requires both passwords. I also had my debit card replaced just in case. I can't believe people get away with this. They are very hateful and rude and have probably scared many people into paying them money.

This is happening to us at my office. We get about 100 calls a day. We have filed a complaint with the police department and have verizon pulling our phone records and giving everything to the police. So far, Verizon can not obtain the number because the caller is spoofing the ID so it is coming through as all 00000's. Anyone had any resolutions? We have no idea how to make this go away. Please help...

I too received a call from this "Morgan" law office regarding a pay day loan. They wanted me to send them money via a prepaid visa card. I did call the company that my cash advance is from at which time they informed me that they were not suing me and advised me that I make a police report regarding this issue. I am happy and sad at the same time to know others have had to deal with these jerks. It makes me so MAD, that someone is trying to scam me to get the money I don't have in the first place, because if I did then this comment would not have been made. Just fyi the numbers they keep calling me from are [protected] and [protected], using the names of Jack Marshall and Neil Walsh. They have very thick Indian accents. I had to listen to the msg 5 times just to get name and number. According to reverse number look up this number to belongs to someone located in Tecemula, Ca. The fax number they were wanting me to send this information to is [protected]..PLEASE DO NOT FAX ANYTHING TO THESE FOOLS! TELL THEM TO KISS YOUR GRITS!

I have been harrased by the sam people. They would continuly ask for their area from where they are calling and they would never disclose this information. They called be numerous times at work and told my boss i had to call themin 15 minutes or there would be a supena fo my arrest. I was told various amounts i was being sued for. first it was 480 then it was for 4000 then 5000 i mean i was scared at first until i sat down with the local athourities and we started putting everything together. They really scared me saying i would be arrested in 48 hours. Then when i tried to get a copy of what they were telling me so i could take it to my lawyer they hung up. these people have a lot of nerves.

I have been receiving calls from this number on my phone for my husband. When they first called they asked if he was interested in a loan. I was out of town i said no and to stop calling please. The man who keeps calling is "Tony Johnson" and his boss "NASH" i thought that was hilarious. Then a couple weeks ago they called back saying it was personal business matter and they need to speak to my husband. He kept calling and was soo unprofessional i thought whtever and have just been ignoring them. Last night Tony Johnson called and left a voicemail 1 1/2 minutes long. He said my husbands social and said that he has given him enough time to respond and as of monday he wont have a job and ohh yea he wont need a job because he will be in prision. So i contacted my husband who is on military training and we might just get the military involved because he is "government property" so with someone putting his personal information out like that on an unsecure line is not going to agree with JAG! So im relaxing and just waiting. My mother called them last night and they said asked what their business name was hey said Morgan and Associates and she asked what their business did and he said he couldnt tell her! Lets home JAG can help these people :)

Morgan and Associates company has called me EVERYDAY (2-3 times a day) stating I owed them money for a payday loan I did on line in December 2005. I did no such thing, don't owe any money to any payday company. They informed me the charges include theft by deception, and check fraud. They stated once the charges are made they were goiing to have the authorities pick me up at my home or work. Brian Jones is the name the man used when he spoke to me. I am a member of Prepaid Legal, so I gave my attorney a call and he educated me on the fact that in the in the State of Texas, They have 2 years to file "hot check fraud" or "wire fraud". And the Statute of Limitations to sue on a loan default is 4 years. These people are liars and thieves. THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW! Do not give these people any money. If you have any questions about my case and how I got rid of them please do not hesitate to call me at [protected]. Tim Austin, Plano, Texas

This just happened to me today, and they couldn't produce any proof. I informed the FTC, BBB, my bank and the credit bureaus. These people have sensitive info that could destroy my credit. I refuse to let them intimidate me or my family. I dared them to Sue me and hung up. I have yet to get a response. There has to be a better way to raise awareness of this crooked scam.

This morning while waiting in the dentist i received a voice mail from the same people. The voice on the message was very hard to understand in a thick indian accent. The message said that it was "officer" something (couldn't understand) he was calling from the government. He called saying there was a law suit against me for bank and internet fraud. He left a number and told me i better call back or he doesn't know what will happen to me but charges will be filled. Oh he did say have a nice day and god bless you! Unreal! The first thing i did was call my father. My dad called and talked to a David Crook (how appropriate) and after a few moments David realized he was caught in his scam. My dad gave my phone number only to have David yell at my father saying "You are not Ashley". This is when he told us that he was calling from Morgan and Associates from California about a loan i took out! David hung up on my father and i called back and told him the only person committing fraud was him. Not only was his harassing voice mail saved on my phone but i informed him that the attorney general was already contacted. Hopefully this ends!

Same issues here.. repeating phone calls saying I defaulted on a payday loan.. Which I have had before but all were paid.
I asked for verifying informtion of this debt and all I got was an email pdf showing 'cash advance america with these idiots number [protected]' (never used them before) saying I owed.. no dates, no nothing other than 400+processing fees.
They said they were Morgan and Associates from NC.

I got a call from them as well I though it was legit until I found this site. The easiest way of getting them off the phone is to type there phone number in your fax machine and send them around 180 faxes. I tied there lines up for about an hour and a half eventually they got to the point where they wouldn't talk to me anymore. The power of a fax server!

this is still happening to good, law abiding citizens, as we speak. Just like the rest of you, I am in the same boat. I talked to a james, obviously not his real name, and I told him that. I am not racist. As we spoke I told him that he is working for a scam artist. He then hung up. I called back and told him if he keeps hanging up I will keep calling him back. He then threatend to call my contacts that I put on the loan app. and my boss and "harrass" them. I then told him to put on the phone with the rich white man that hired him, he told me he cant, I said why, he told me he is a cheat, which really surprised me. He said this is his "bread and butter" I understand that. He would like a real job in the states, he said. I asked him to remove my #, my employers # and my contacts #, he said he would, concidered me a friend and told me he would call me back on his personal phone tonight after he gets off work. I said a prayer for him and his family. When I talk to him again I will ask him to look this up on the computer, so he can see first hand what he and his associates are doing. The man got his green card so he can live here in the states and has to work for this rich corruped American. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING! I will write again. [protected]. up north minnesota hunter

Two different people with heavy Indian accents left me messages threatening legal action. I have never taken out a payday loan, and even if I had, this is definitely a scam. DON'T GIVE THEM MONEY!

Here's what the message says:
"This message for ... This is Officer Randy Jones calling from Morgan and Associates Law firm and the reason behind this call is a lawsuit has been filed against your name ...(inaudible)... fraud and criminal action fees. ...Credit card information, your social security number is going to be blocked from the state of Pennsylvania and your credit card information is going to be blocked so before it becomes too late for you, just get back to me on my number as soon as possible. My number is going to be [protected]. I'm going to repeat my number [protected]. Just get back to me on my number as soon as possible, I'm waiting for a call, goodbye."

And another person, sounding really angry:

"This message is for ___. This is Officer Andrew Jones calling you from Morgan and Associates Law firm. The reason behind this call is there is a legal emergency on you so you have to call me back on my number [protected]. I repeat my number [protected]. Make sure to give me a call as soon as possible on my number because right now it's a legal emergency for you. So I waiting for a call, call me as soon as possible."

When I called them back and they established my name and phone #, this is what the man said: (I told them I was recording the call.)

"This is John from J Morgan and Associates Law Firm and we are a commercial law firm and we received an affidavit from the state county code and it states that there is a lawsuit complaint has been-"

Which state is that?

"The state county code of Florida."

Florida. Ok.

"And it states that there is a lawsuit complaint has been filed on your name by a company Cash Advance because you took a payday loan from this company and you never paid it back within 21 days. So the company states you are running away from the situation and you are running away from the money. And if you don't want me to [inaudible] use your information like your residential address, email id, social security number, all that, but you never [inaudible] any money because you never indulged your contract paper it was clerical[?] that... [long pause]"

You're saying that this happened in Florida?

"Yeah. We contracted the file from them."

Ok, and when, when are you saying this happened?

"Uh, we don't have any extra data on this."

So who are you-

"You are getting the call to inform you that there is a lawsuit on you and in up to 2 days we will send this file to the courthouse for the legal action but before that we just want to help you with the situation out of the courthouse by making the payment back or you want to go to the court for the legal action. It's a law in the courthouse."

So you want me to pay you?

"Yeah, you are paying, uh, via us and the company back."

Ok, and how much are you saying I need to pay you?

For the resultment [sic] we have called a restitution amount and it is called oh-oh-zero amount and it is two hundred and seventy eight dollars and fifty cents for the all the legal charges and the interest charges and if you make this payment we will send you the payment receipt in half an hour after your payment, it will be signatured by a regional manager and the company's secretaries, and then after you don't need to pay any single dollar to anybody and you can live your life secure."

So you're telling me to pay you $278.50?

"Yeah if you want to resolve it out of the courthouse you can make this amount, otherwise you can prove yourself in the courthouse with the lawyer. We are not forcing you, but if you don't want to face the legal action, then you can make this payment and you don't need to face the legal action."

And who am I supposed to make this payment to? Am I paying you right now, or am I paying someone else at some other time, or...?

"No no no, you are making a payment to us via us to the company. Cash Advance."

And you said this company is Cash Advance- that I got a loan from?

"Yeah."

And you're Morgan and Associates Law Firm?

"Yeah, we are... [pause] ...yeah."

Do you have a website or a business address?

"...Sorry?"

Do you have a website or a business address?

"Uh, we can't provide that. We have it, but uh, we work with the Data Protection Act so we can't provide you that information over the phone line."

Ok, but you're prepared to take a payment from me right now even though I can't have any further information about your company?

"Uh ma'am, we wish to help you with this situation, if you want to resolve it, tell me, otherwise we have to transfer this to the courthouse."

Which courthouse are you talking about specifically?

"We will transfer this [unintelligible] the state county code of Pennsylvania."

Pennsylvania? I thought you said Florida.

"Yeah, we got the file from there but for the case we have to transfer that to Pennsylvania."

So you're located in Pennsylvania?

"No... [long pause, phone covered]. W';re located at Ooh-tah."

Where, I'm sorry?

"Ooh-tah."

I'm sorry, Is that in the United States?

"U-t-a-h."

Oh, Utah! You said Utah.

"Yeah, Utah." [now pronouncing it differently.]

Ok, so who are you asking me to make a payment out to? Who's name will the payment go to?

"I just told you ma'am, you are making a payment via us to the bank company."

So I'm paying Morgan and Associates?

"Yeah. Because we are a presidential company. Company gave us the authority of that."

And the company's name is Credit Advance in Florida, right?

"Yeah."

Ok, so I don't believe this at all, because I never took out a payday loan and I've never been to Florida, and I don't know anything about either of the companies you're talking about, also I know that that's really not how the legal system works. I have no problem going to court if you need that, I have a lawyer and that's fine, so I'm going to forward this information. Can I have your full name again please?

-Caller hung up on me-

I reported this to the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ You guys should too. :)

I received 8phone calls on my cell phone today from these people stating that I owed them a past due balance of over $1000.00 which is NOT true. Then after I wouldn't answer my cell phone anymore they proceeded to call my place of employment 6 times. I don't know how they got my information and phone numbers but this is definitely a scam! And do NOT confirm any info on the phone to them at all. They will be very aggressive on the phone and try to over talk you. Just be firm and let them know you know the laws for harassment and fraud and let them know you are going to report them. I haven't gotten a call at either number since. They need to get a real job and a life!

They have been calling me too I have ten different numbers and 9 different names they told me I owed money from a pay day loan and they were going to garnish my wages, get me fired, have me arrested and they even said they had a warrant for my arrest. Every time they call its a different amount I owe with a different company. I'm scared because they have my personal info but I'm not worried because really who goes to jail for not paying a bill. They even told me they were going to come arrest me and take me to Texas where I will do my time in prison. They keep calling asking if my information is correct I tell them no. Whatever you do DON'T TELL THEM YES OR GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION OR MONEY. My family has a family lawyer and they happened to call my cell phone when I was with her one day they kept telling me get a lawyer cause you will need it and good luck in court I said hold on I'm sitting with my lawyer now and put her on the phone and they hung up. We called back they wouldn't answer. They called me the next day I said it again and they hung up. I told them I was going to call the company I so called got a loan from to whats going on he started yelling and hung up really fast. They even said be at court tomorrow morning one time I knew that was a lie it wasn't even 24hr. notice. Notice when they call its always the same voice with a different name he told me he was transferring me to his manager then pressed some buttons and then his manager comes to the phone. I'm not dumb sir you never hung up the TV in the background was playing the whole time you were so called transferring me this is a SCAM don't get worried. Do what I did play the game back and say I'm not answering any questions until you answer mine they get really mad. I put a fraud alert on my credit report to in case they try to use my information.

They just contacted us about a matter involving one of our employees that had listed our company on an unpaid loan. Threaten us with legal action if we didn't put the employee on the phone with them right away. They were going to take the matter to the court house next Monday. The caller indicated that he would call our place of business "20, 000 times" unless we put the employee on the phone. I got on the internet and found all sorts of info on this bunch of crooks while I had him on the phone. He didn't like it when I started telling him all the things on the net that I found. He took offense to being called a scam artist and told me to take it seriously or I would be in jail as well. He finely got tired of my persistance of giving it back to him and hung up. He called from [protected].

My name is Richard Benzing. This place, Morgan and Associates have been calling us at home alot and now they are calling me on my job, saying we owe a payday loan company and we don't. We also have our Bank Statements going back to Feb. 2011, the month they say we got this loan. As you know, when you get one, they always deposit it into your account. They said we would be served papers and that we owed over $8, 000. If you hear from these people, don't answer your phone, hang up. Their number is: [protected]. I just filed a complaint with the FTC. She said they have to be arrested and this crap stopped. Just be on the look for these scammers. They are not Americans, but using American names. They can't even speak good ENGLISH. Don't let them get you upset. They aren't real.

I started getting the call stating someone from Morgan and Associates Law Firm saying that I was being sued for a default on a loan I never took out since I wasn't approved. They gave me the clients name and found it it was for CashNet America. I called them and I told them what was happening and they said they never filed a case and that I didn't have a loan with them. They called again and I told them back that I know they were scam and that their supposed client didn't even know who they were. I told them I confirmed that I didn't have a loan and their was no lawsuit. The guy on th ephone started laughing and said he take me off the list and then said, I had to pay $100 for the call. I told him go ahead and try to send me a bill and I will send it to my state attorney and the FTC. Told him to ### off and never call back.
