Filthy couch delivered after online purchase followed by no feedback after numerous calls and emails
A 3-piece couch set was delivered at 2pm on Monday 15 March. Upon opening the boxes, it was clear that the couch is dirty and shop soiled. WhatsApp sent 15 March 18h21. Call made to call centre (Cameron) at 08h01, email with photos sent at 08h31, call made to call centre (Shaun) at 12h19, another email sent at 14h24; another email sent at 15h45, another call (Njabulo) made at 16h15. Awaiting feeding back which only now heard takes 24 to 48 hours. In the interim, the dirty couch (in Covid-19!) sits in a pensioner's home. Disgusting service.

MRP Call centre agents have no telephone etiquette skills, they are hostile and unpleasant.
I am being contacted month after month demanding a higher installment to be paid .
I am paying more 10% of my balance every month.
When I am contacted I am spoken to as if I am a criminal.
There is never a manager or supervisor on site that I can speak to and address my concerns.
In the midst of a global pandemic, I am paying my account, still being called month to month-?
The consultant I spoke to today Sthembile Cilli, had absolutely no customer service skills, her tone of voice was a very hostile one and apon asking for a manager, immediately advised that there is none available.
If payment is made on a month to month basis, what is the need to be called every month?
Sthabile advised that I will be handed over, on what grounds? If I am a paying customer ?
Surely my contract stipulates a 3rd party handover should I default in my payments!

I received a gift card on the 28th of February 2021. Was advised to wait 24 hours for the funds to be loaded onto the card. Tried to purchase online but keeps saying the card is invalid and at the back of the card it says I can purchase online and in store. There's items online that you don't have in store.

Money deducted and no order received
I made an order online on 12feb 2021, the money was deducted but the order was not processed and did not appear on the app. I never received anything.
I sent a few enquiries about my order since the 15th of Feb 2021 and I have communicated with 5 consultants (Sithembiso - on call and e-mail, Naledi on whatsapp - 2 times, Nomha on whatsapp - 2 times, Berlin on whatsapp - 3 times, Thandeka -on call and e-mail). None of them really assisted me or gave feedback, but send me messages saying the will provide feedback in either 24 or 48 hours. I have sent my proof of payment to each of the consultants. Naledi told me my refund is bein processed and this morning I was told they can't trace my payment, which is weird cos I have a prove of payment with MrPrice's account details and the date and time of payment. Now I have to spend money on data and airtime to contact them and send them documents I have already sent a few times. I just want my money back please.

On the 28/02/2021 10:58 as per slip I was at forest hill mall mr price clothing I purchased clothes worth of 440.27 and on the first swipe money went out and the cashier said she needs to swipe my card she call a lady by sylvia who gave me wrong numbers [protected] that I should swipe my card again if it went twice I should contact her direct only to find out the number is not working im trying to call the store number is busy for the past 30 minutes. Im really not impressed of the service we are talking about the money which I need to utilize on my daily living. I was double charge and I want to know way forward from here. I bought glasses nov 2020, then only one broke... The rest are fine. Bought one today to replace it, just when I was still at the mall a few mins later it broke again. Mind you it was wrapped. When I went back to the store complaining about the quality they say it was all my fault. If I broke it then the others should be broken too! They are very rude

Foot stools
I purchased 2 foot stools at Mr Price Hone in Hillcrest, Durban in November 2020. A month later one of the buttons fell off. I did not have a receipt but I showed them my credit card statement to prove I had bought it. I spoke to Wendy at the store and she said that I would be contacted. It has now been 5 weeks and I have not been contacted by anyone from Mr Price Home, Hillcrest.

Non-existent service from mr price sport customer care line
Asked at Mr Price Sport Fourways branch about a dumbbell set and was told by staff that they no longer stock then in store and we need to order online and they can be delivered to the store for collection. I went online to order a 20kg vinyl dumbbell set and nowhere could I find an option for collection from a store. The dumbbell set cost is R499 and the delivery is R400 hence my request to collect from a store.
I went into the Northgate Mr Price Sport and asked the same thing and was told exactly the same. They said I must select the option for store collection.
I went home and tried again thinking I must have made an error the first time, but still the same result.
I called the customer care line and spoke to what I can only describe as the rudest person I have ever encountered in a customer care role. I asked for a phone number of a customer service manager, but was told she could not give it to me. I then asked for a direct email address and again was told she could not. She told me to ring the call centre number which was the number I called to speak to her.
I then submitted a few queries via the website contact us form and received absolutely no response.
I have now ended up here.
Desired outcome: First, contact would be good from someone who cares and secondly confirmation as to how I can purchase and collect in store without paying the high delivery cost.

I was at Mr price Greenacres Port Elizabeth where I saw a show labeled R329 when I got to the till it scanned R499. I told them that the price I saw was R329. And I was not going to pay R499, the lady who helped us in the sport department CINDY told me to my face that was lying and it had a different price on whereas both myself and my partner saw the price. The manager SHEPHARD told me that Cindy was saying something different, so what about me who is the CUSTOMER we told him to check the footage, he comes back with half it and not the part where it shows Cindy had gone and changed the price after she was called to the till. I am totally DISGUSTED by the service received from this store.
Pathetic customer service
I placed 2 online orders 2 weeks ago and I only received one. I have been waiting for the other order to arrive, I even went to the store twice and came back with nothing. I contactes mr price through the whatsapp chat option and the service I got from their "heroes" was absolutely pathetic. I have to wait over 10 minutes on end to get a customer care respondent to reply back, such nerve as if they are doing me a favor when I purchased the item I didn't get it for free.

Poor service received from mr p home cape gate
Good Day
I'm totally disgusted in the service I got from Mr Price Home Cape Gate. I went on the 3rd to buy a pedestal I asked for it to be assembled.
They 1st told me the person that does the assembly is not in. I said it's fine I'll pay and collect the next day. Then the cashier didn't know how much the assembly fee is or how to load it. Then it was back and forth back and forth.
I went on the 4th to collect my pedestal the lady who carried it dropped it. I then asked for a new one as it had chips on it. I said I'll come the next day as it will be a rush because it's almost closing time.
I went back the Friday and it was closed because of a Covid case. No one phoned to advise.
I went now this evening and the guy just put it in my trolley.i just checked for chips around.when I got home the inside was taped as there's a big crack at the back and it was assembled wrong. What type of person would give a customer a damaged product?when I paid in full?
Even the service from all the floor staff was utterly poor.
I'm fuming of anger because I cannot understand how you can render such client services .

I made my December account payment in store due to the fact that I was in store at that time, but I usually make use of the *120*410# payment option via my phone.
The end of January came along and I made my January payment using the *120*410# option.
I received confirmation that my account will be debited within 5 working days.
Now, for the past 3 days, I have been getting sms'es stating that my account is almost R2000 overdue! What nonsense is this?
My December payment was made in store, my January payment was made using one of their "Handy" payment options and now they're claiming that I am 2 installments behind?
It is absolutely disgusting how this place exploits consumers.
It is not my problem if their payment options are ineffective. If they advertise that a certain payment option is available to make use of, they need to ensure that it works.
One of the reasons that I make use of it, is because it is supposed to be done within minutes and I do not have to worry after that.
Now when I try to reach them, they hang up in my ear?
This place is useless all over.

My girlfriend still have the same problem. Also did her full instalment for January 2021 via the "handy" payment method. In February 2021 got a sms that she is behind, ( from Jan to Feb a sms from MR Price that the "handy " method system is not working properly. MR Price unlawfully listed het with ITC. In the meantime she applied form a home loan it was declined all because of Mr P.She got a mail from MR P that the ITC will be cleared.A second mail that it has been cleared, ha-ha. Today 30 march 2021 applied form the homeloan again, still not F... cleared. Custumor service got a supervisor, will call me back in 5 min. I asked How certain are you the the supervisor will call ? Two weeks today - longest 5 min in my life.

This is like the 4th time that I want to exchange cloths at Mr Price Lichtenburg at the mall and every time I go there they send me to the mr Price in town because they are off line, but if they are off line every time, why can you still pay your account and buy on your account and how is it that Mr Price in town and Mr Price home and sport are not off line?
are they really offline ore is it just a case that it is to much work to exchange and they are not really in the mood to help?

I made a laybye on October 2020 and on 2January 2021 I went to the store to pay up my parcel as I traveled from Kamhlushwa 600km to Bethlehem using my vehicle knowing that I will never be in Bethlehem anytime soon.
I found the machine offline and they said only cash is allowed, I had cash on my hand and still the manager failed to give my laybe and said there is nothing she can do. I had to travel back to Mpumalanga at Kamhlushwa location without my any help.

Online store delivery
I made an online order on the 23 Dec 2020 and I am still waiting for the delivery (11 Jan 2021). I was not sent a tracking link and had to ask customer service to send it to me. I use the Mr Price WhatsApp chat to regularly check the status of my delivery, firstly I was told I would receive it on 31 Dec and when I check everytime after that they could not tell me when it would be delivery. My order was shipped on 28 Dec 2020 and the track and trace link has said "No Backstamps" since then.
When will my order be delivered?

On the 24th of december I went to bought my husband some clothes on the door and internet it say they open at 8 am so 8 am I was there because I know it would be a busy day then they open at 8:45! There were already a lot of people waiting in front of the door so when I was done shopping the row were very long already and there were only one teller we waited longer than an hour to get to the teller and even when there is clearly stickers on the ground that say 1.5m to stand away from each other the row were so long that the people stand almost on each others back!
Same on the 31 of december when I went with my friend there were again a very long row and only one teller when I ask the manager how can they put only one teller if the are so many people in the shop he only say that he is sorry? How would a sorry solve the problem?
Today I went to bought my kids some clothes when I asked the lady for some help she was very rude and doesnt seems if she even wants to help me and again only one teller and a lot of people waiting to pay!
I am very disappointed at the manager and his employees!
