National Football League [NFL] Super Bowl Halftime Show

We would like to ask the NFL to please select a family friendly alternative to the type of repulsive show that was aired on this year's Super Bowl half time show. Most of America was ready to walk away, and had given up on the NFL, due to their lack of ethics concerning their stance in allowing players to disrespect America's flag. Those of us who chose to watch the Super Bowl were only watching for Patrick Mahomes; his wholesome public persona is what attracts families. He saved the NFL from disaster. But it is a shame that we have to turn the channel during the halftime show, or else be subjected to pornography. If the NFL wishes to redeem itself, riding on the tails of someone who is as worthy of respect as Mahomes, then please follow his lead and show yourselves to be more wholesome and family-friendly.
I have included a screenshot from my FB with ideas of shows Americans would actually like to see. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Kim Kohler

National Football League [NFL] super bowl halftime show 2020

The Super Bowl Half-Time show was totally inappropriate and trashy. It was degrading to ALL women and a disgrace to Americans. What happened to real talent performing at these kind of shows? JLO and Shakira are not talented and are not family friendly performers. Why does a show that is supposedly "family friendly" promote the objectification of women? NFL and Fox should be ashamed of themselves.

National Football League [NFL] super bowl halftime show

We were appalled at the oversexed halftime show especially by Jennifer Lopez. To see those little girls on the stage with her was extremely in poor taste. In an age when women are finally coming out about how they have been preyed upon by sexually perverts and then we see this performance that simply exploited the female body. It is no wonder the boys and men are getting mixed signals. What kind of mixed messages are we sending out there. Just because the Hollywood scene doesn't care about protecting the innocence of their children does not mean that main-stream America feels the same. We would think that the NFL would want to respect the men and women of this great country with a decent family oriented half-time entertainment.

National Football League [NFL] super bowl liv halftime show

The halftime show, featuring simulated sex acts, a stripper pole, and women dressed in little more than lingerie was obscene. It was unsuitable for families with children, degrading to women as anything other than sex objects, and offensive to my husband and me. The NFL has a rocky history regarding how men treat women. The fact that every man involved in both the game and show was fully clothed speaks further to this issue. Please, stop!

National Football League [NFL] super bowl halftime show

I am a Latina woman. I am shocked and appalled by the scape goating that is happening about the raunchy and over sexualized performance of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. Bending over, half naked, and see thru outfits are not a sign of empowering woman. Not Latina women, at least. Please consider your audience in the future prior to selecting porn for show. This is the most degrading form of presenting or representing ANY woman. I hope you are fined for the disgusting show that was produced and shown to minors without a parents consent. Last time I watch anything NFL

National Football League [NFL] the so called "family entertainment" for halftime of the super bowl

The Super Bowl is supposed to be considered family entertainment. The entertainment shown at halftime certainly was not! It reminded me a lot of something you would come across in a stip tease club! Women thrusting their hips in a suggestive, sexual way and pole dancing is not acceptable. Shame on the NFL for promoting this! It's soft porn and it promotes sexual bondage!
Shame, shame, shame!

National Football League [NFL] super bowl halftime show

I wish the Super Bowl was still a family-friendly, "have a party" type event. Now we have to worry about what young children will be exposed to while watching—not to mention that I don't want see that kind of act either. The halftime show was less than classy—you have to be 18-21 to get into most strip clubs but you just brought one to our living room. Clean up the act or we'll just check the score afterwards.

National Football League [NFL] half time show

My family, friends, coworkers, clients, and myself are extremely shocked and saddened by the halftime show put on by the nfl for the 2020 super bowl. It seems like the nfl pandering to a part of the world's population that has no morals.in this moment in time where the world is fighting against the human trafficking and abuse of women and children the nfl chooses to promote the women and children and sex objects. The nfl chose to show the world that they value profit over human rights. The nfl's viewership is not only the adult population of the world. I have personally seen how the nfl's marketing team is involving themselves in youth sports to indoctrinate future viewership. The usa was founded on morals. The nfl used to stand for morality, but now the nfl stands for profit over morality.in my circle of family, friends, and clients the nfl has lost our viewership. No porn in the nfl

National Football League [NFL] super bowl halftime show

The half time show for the super bowl was a soft porn promoting women and children as sex objects. Scantily clad women doing sexually explicit dancing is inappropriate and unacceptable! This kind of performance does not belong on prime time television! It promotes exploitation of women and children to sex trafficking. The NFL should apologize and donate to organizations that fight against sex exploitation.

National Football League [NFL] super bowl halftime "show"

I find it hard to believe that you considered the action on the stage at half-time Sunday to be entertainment. The Super Bowl (as is any NFL game) should be a source of family fun. This year's act joins those of the last few years that demeans women as an object for men's pleasure. What a terrible thing to show our young people!
You can be sure that my family will not be watching it in the future. I also intend to get a list of the advertisers and let them know why I won't be patronizing them.

National Football League [NFL] halftime show and drag queen ad

The halftime show and drag queen ads were horrific and anything but family friendly. I will no longer watch superbowl unless there is a good faith effort to show less sexualized halftime shows and clean up the crotch grabbing bits by these supposedly harrassed "Me too" singers and actresses. It is especially maddening that you could not at least add some balance to the sleaze and show the "Faces of abortion" ad. CLEAN IT UP!

National Football League [NFL] the superbowl halftime show; oversexualization of women

My family enjoys watching the Super Bowl, but we were very disappointed by the over-sexualized Halftime Show this year (and the past few years). It was degrading and objectifying of women and inappropriate for children. I hope you reconsider future shows so that they will be appropriate for viewers of all ages. I look forward to once again being able to enjoy the Super Bowl Halftime Show with my family.

National Football League [NFL] super bowl halftime show

This is not empowering women. This is grooming women, including the young girls onstage and in the audience, to be victimized by sexual predators. This is not entertainment. This is pornagraphy. I am absolutely appalled that the NFL openly endorses sexual abuse of women, including underage women, in such a public way. If the NFL wants to empower women, they need to remove entertainment that degrades women and reduces women of all ages to sexual objects for men to take advantage of. As a woman, mother, and advocate for actual women's rights, I am disgusted. I want a better world for my daughters and I know I am not alone.

National Football League [NFL] super bowl halftime show

I am writing to voice concern over the negative messages that were sent by the Super Bowl halftime show. The show focused on the objectification of women, and even preparing children for such over-sexualization with children's choirs included. Women were portrayed very negatively as if they are objects to be ogled at. This is not women's empowerment or equality for women. It is the elevation of instinct. I have written an article here with more of a response: https://www.frontporchrepublic.com/2020/02/the-super-bowl-spectacle-sends-mixed-messages-about-women/

Please think through more carefully the messages sent by the Super Bowl and the halftime show.
Respectfully submitted,
Josh

National Football League [NFL] half time show

I was disappointed in the super bowl halftime show. The Super Bowl Halftime Show was not only pornographic, it was a sexual grooming session. I want a family friendly half time show. I want a half time show that I can let my little girl watch. The halftime show was an instance of exploiting women's bodies for money. I am horrified by this. I will not be watching the super bowl if you continue to have half time shows that equate female empowerment with sexually stimulating an international audience.

I totally agree! We shouldn't have to worry about what our kids will see during the half time of a major sporting event!

National Football League [NFL] half time super bowl show

This is empowering women? Bumping, grinding, crotch close-ups? Wow! I am a woman and I am horrified that this is what you MEN call empowering! This is degrading to all women, a terrible message you/we are sending to girls today as well as boys! With all their musical talent, J Lo and Shakira are noted for being "smokin- hot, sexy".
Geez, it is 2020 and you have regressed women's position as being taken seriously back a couple of decades.
Don't drink the Kool Aid and fall for the exploitation and sexualization of women - even if they are famous entertainers.
We expect better next year. Make a statement that you DO respect women for more than their boodies and crotches.

National Football League [NFL] the nfl super bowl halftime show

I am appalled at the super bowl half time show. It was absolutely pornographic and only feeds the porn world, which in turns feed the human traffic world. The NFL should NOT be feeding this type of immoral and inhuman world of human trafficking. Porn has proven over and over to have a direct connection to the supply and demand of human sex trafficking. Public Pornographic behavior only increases a pro-porn pro-human traffic society. This is exactly what this years Super Bowl half time show encouraged. I am absolutely disappointed in the NFL. Please publicly apologize for encouraging such a inhuman society. The NFL has to be held accountable!

National Football League [NFL] terrible halftime crap

What a disgusting, immature, immoral, no talent, halftime joke! What happened to real talent. This year was an all time LOW, but even previous years have been bad. This was a total SLUT show. Absolute FILTH. Totally anti-family and anti-American. That kind of music? Singing in Spanish, only appeals to a small percentage of extremely uneducated idiots. We are no longer pepsi buyers, and the NFL needs to step up and stop these freak shows. Focus on our Military instead, and because they show honor & respect for America, only have Military people sing our Anthem.

NFL — Football is a great sport. STOP allowing these terrible halftime shows to RUIN and STAIN this sport

National Football League [NFL] stop treating women like prostitutes

"An internationally televised grooming session."
I am a teacher and have seen yearly sex abuse awareness trainings, where grooming and gaslighting are discussed. I have read depositions of sexual abuse survivors from clergy and others. I have friends and acquaintances who are sex abuse survivors who found the show to be a trigger for their PTSD, when others tried to convince them it wasn't that bad.

National Football League [NFL] half time show

Shakira's outfit was fine and her dancing was very good...but the crotch and butt shots were over the top. Jennifer Lopez was worse. From her S&M outfit to her stripper routine to her crotch shots...what the heck NFL? This is degrading to women and has no place in a half time show. Clean up your act! Middle America is sick of this trash!
