Muddy dash
Got Pensacola, Florida Muddy Dash tickets for my family of 4. Tickets were purchased through Active.com and the receipt said it was through the organization CE Fun Runs. The race was to take place on September 23rd, 2023. Notice that the event was canceled was sent out ac week before. They sent an email that forces you to transfer your registration to some mystery date next year. If you contact active or muddy dash directly... you get an email that says they are busy and will get back to you in 15 days, but they never do.
Claimed loss: $74
Desired outcome: Refund
Active work camp and classes.
Hello,
My bank closed my account due to someone trying to hack my account.
I changed the account in June and got some payments in June and July.
It is September 14th and I just found out yesterday that they sent it to my closed account. I set up a new account and they said I need to wait3-5 days to get my verification. The money is from August and I run a business that has expenses and they can not find a way to get my money to me quicker. Customer service is slow and the only time I got someone's phone number is when I said I wanted to cancel. I am owed over 15,000 from that time period and they can not figure out a way to get me that money. I also offered to pay overnight shipping and I am still waiting to here back. Things are slow, slow slow. and I do do recommend this company. Due to the lack of communication and help you can receive for any issue you are having.

Ce fun run
I registered for the Bubble Run through Active.com on 1/20/23. I was charged for insurance and a venue fee as well as a professional photo package. I understand the company has a no refund policy but I am not asking for a refund of the registration, only for the insurance, venue, and photo package since the race was canceled and no future date is set for our state. Even if I went to another state, I would be charged again for insurance, venue, and photos. It is a deceptive practice to charge these additional fees and not reimburse when they cancel all of the races. There is a team of 5 registered. I plan to contact our Detroit News to run an investigation of this company that repeatedly cancels races after collecting all these fees. There are currently 286 complaints on Revdex.com about Active. I’m asking for the $29 in non-registration fees be refunded. My credit card shows Act*CE Fun Runs as the company.
Desired outcome: Refund of $29.
Took my money for a Non-existent race
I had signed up for the Terrain Race in Albuquerque, NM to take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023. I had booked the race through Active that earlier November. I get to the venue where the race was supposed to take place, yet not a soul was there. No obstacles, no workers, no booths, not even other confused participants. I verified the venue address, as it was the same place the same event had taken place in prior years. I verified the date and verified my purchase from Active. I do some digging from Terrain Race on their website, and I discover they had likely had no intention of doing an event in Albuquerque this year, yet Active still had their race up on their Website.
Desired outcome: I want an apology, a full refund, and the race taken down from their website.
I’d like a full refund as well from these scam artists.
Active advantage trial membership scam
Same trick as in: https://www.complaintsboard.com/activecom-active-advantage-trial-membership-scam-c269693 happened to me!
I was completely unaware of signing up for their trial when signing up for the event CE FUN RUN. After the so-called 30 days trials, in which I received no email and no notice that I signed up, they charged my credit card $85.
I am reaching out to customer service and asking for a refund. Let's see what's coming next.
Desired outcome: Refund!
Taken money for event I'm unable to book
I've been trying to make contact relentlessly, 5 times I've tried various means of contact.
I was credited from an Ironman event in Staffordshire which was scheduled for 2021. I have been trying to book Ironman Swansea via their website as it states on the email from them, this being the email offering a lower fee to register for the event however, when I go onto their website via their email, there is no event on there?
I have been trying to contact them as now the price has gone up but nobody is replying to my correspondence to sort this issue out?
They've essentially taken my money and run!
Desired outcome: To book an event as requested
Hosting event registrations
I have an event and had registrations from May-beginning of July 2022. The payments have not been sent by check or directly to bank and it is now September. Very frustrating, as the bills must be paid for the race. I have contacted customer service more than 8 times, have been told by Summer Jiang that an inquiry has been put in/escalated to the finance team and to the manager. This does not seem like it should be difficult. I have run events through this company in years past with no difficulties. This is the first and has been awful, as the money still has not been paid.
Desired outcome: Be paid the registrations for the race. Midnight Sun Lazyman Triathlon
Email address change
I wanted to change my email address from [protected]@aol.com TO [protected]@gmail.com. Active.com and Active Advantange. com said I had to contact them by email. No phone number.
I had to send another email with the request. They said they did it. They gave me a temporary password. I could not access their website. DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE. It is still down for maintenance.
I sent another email. Now what?
I cannot register for a race. I cannot see past races. WTF?
Getting paid for my event
Run in the opposite direction! Not worth the headache.
This is the most disorganized, mismanaged, overpriced ticketing platform I have ever experienced in over 30 years of producing events. I should have come to trustpilot/BBB/yelp before considering this service for my race registration.
It has been over 6 weeks since my event concluded and they have yet to get it together enough to send a check or EFT for the revenue generated from my event.
All this after charging all of my registrants, including ones that I refunded or canceled for whatever reason, $2.50 per registrant, and giving me the run around.
What an absolute nightmare it has been trying to work with them.
Desired outcome: Give me my money!
Was this ever resolved? I am dealing with the same issue and just reported them to the CFPB. 2 weeks after the event and still not paid.
Not receiving funds after event
We are extremely unhappy with the service Active Works has provided. We are race directors. Our event ended September 25, 2021 and, as of today, we have yet to receive the remittance totaling $2160 garnered from online entries to our event. We initiated the support process on October 18, 2021 when we did not receive payment following the first of October 2021. Here we are almost three months after the event and two months into the case with no further information being given from our support person Elsha Elnas. The "relevant team" has yet to respond and is now sounding rather fictitious. In short, we expect prompt payment of the money owed to us from the online entries to our event. I daresay we will never use Active Works again due to this inexcusable extended delay in releasing OUR funds. Please advise the "relevant team" as Elsha calls them to release our funds immediately.
Desired outcome: Immediate payment of online entries to our event totaling $2160
Scam membership
I signed up for the DC Bike ride on 2019. In 2020 and again this year i was billed $89.95. I took it to my credit card company and they essentially kicked it back. I went to their phooe line and it is not in use. I went on line and had to sign in with a password. I finally figured out how to cancel this bogus membership. but they didn't make it easy. I'm still not sure I'm actually cancelled because of this company's shady practices.
E-mails to the website got me runarounds.
This is a sneaky company.
Desired outcome: I want my money back for the last two years
There needs to be a law against these companies "pre-checking" options that you don't authorize. I'm sure I didn't consciously sign-up for this, but I too got dinged with the $89.95 charge, a month after my "30-day free trial" ended. I'm sure thousands of "upper income" people don't check their bank statements closely, and would easily miss a $90 annual fee.
unauthorized card charges
I found a charge of nearly 90 dollars on my bank statement from act-active network that I did not authorize or consent to. My card was used to purchase tickets for an even next year in salt lake city called the foam glow run and all memberships were canceled after tickets were verified. I need that money and had planned to use it for court fees and am now unable to do so. I would prefer a full refund for the charge and if necessary to do so a cancelation of the tickets and full refund. Preference would be to keep our tickets and be refunded as we only bought the tickets as a one time charge and were not signing up for any kind of membership for continuous charges. We even went through after to verify no membership had been set and nothing showed that my card would be charged again.
Desired outcome: Full refund

Active Advantage

they said went along with it, even though that doesnt go the charity i was playing in. and i havent done anything else with them.
Website says you can get a prorated refund, 10 emails later still no refund.
Desired outcome: REFUND
No network

Fake Membership Signup
This company harvested my credit card information when I signed up for a half marathon through Rock N Roll marathons for Las Vegas. I did not sign up for a membership for any third party entity as Active has claimed. Unfortunately, they have scammed me several times now as the Rock and Roll uses active network to register for their events. Active takes those registrations and uses them to charge unsuspecting registrants for false membership fees to their club. They will auto put everyone on auto renewal and start charging for membership without any warning. This is so criminal and the only reason I caught it this time was that my credit card company sent me a scam text when Active tried to run the card this morning. This needs to stop, Active needs fined for stuff like this.
Desired outcome: Refunds of every charge they made to my account over the years (I am a huge runner)
Active network

Predatory Registration Practice
Company preys upon unsuspecting customers who register campsites under the Reserve America banner. [censored] this company and its predatory business model. [censored] you for deceptively sneaking the option to solicit our money on what is an otherwise innocuous campsite registration portal.
Desired outcome: Removal of deceptive enrollment option.
Unauthorized credit card charges
I received a notice from my credit card company on 3/3/2021 for an $89.95 charge from Active Advantage. I found an email in my spam folder thanking me for my renewing my active advantage membership. I logged onto the website and discovered that you have charged me 3 years in a row for a service I never registered for.
I am not a runner, have never attended a marathon or sports event and did not sign up for this service. It is clear from my 'account history' that I have never accessed your services. I want a full refund of the $269.85 that you have scammed from me over three years. I have searched the internet to find a way to call Active Advantage and did find a phone number, but the recording says it's not in service due to covid.
Kari Parmer
Desired outcome: Refund of $269.85
Credit card processing
We have emailed and emailed this group (you cannot get them on the phone, although it says on their website "unlimited phone support" and yet there is no where you can find a number to call. I called the sales line it goes directly to voicemail). The have held on to our money since late November and will not release it to us. We have contacted them 6 times and get the same crap response that they have to do Event Legitimacy. And yet no one has reached out to us or lifted a finger to do anything. It is a blatant attempt to hang on to the money indefinitely ganging interest.
Each time they reply with the same "legitimacy" email.
Please help,
Jim McHenry
President
Jamie McHenry Memorial Foundation a non profit company.
Desired outcome: remit the money with 5% interest for this long wait.
same happened to me and just realized the charge on my credit card and going on 3rd year. Shame on me.
what an ideal fraud. i've called the # listed on the description of my billing statement. The # listed [protected] will tell you to call another # for billing/subscription related matters. Well, of course, the message goes something like due to Covid, you need to email them at support@activenetork.com. Absolute typical scam!
I did email them as well as send the message via their website hoping someone will get back to me this lifetime.
These shady business operations should be banned and locked up!
