NetSpend fraud on the account

All the money was stolen from my card $890.00 on [protected]. 2 days before this happened my account was blocked so I called customers service and was told that somebody has been calling in on my account and they askedd if it was me and I said no and that the person was 1 digit off and so that's why they blocked my account ok good. Then I was told that I had to send over documents to the fraud department. I asked to speak to the fraud department then I was told that I could not speak to the fraud department because the fraud department does not speak to customers directly I could only fax them or email them. I emailed them the documents that they had requested and then they unblocked my account. Ok the next morning casey m. Rumph transferred $890.00 from my account to there account I received a text telling me this so I immediately called netspend to let them know that I didn't do this transaction and I need the money put back into my account. Well casey had made a transaction of $705.23 and they put $184.77 back on my account now I had to go to the claims department to dispute the transaction so that I could get my money back.

Now here is were the problems come in why was it that when my account was blocked the first time and I called in and askedd to speak to the fraud department I was told that they do not speak to customers directly I could only email or fax them, but now that my money is stolen I can speak with the fraud department? The fraud department the ordered me a new card, changed my pin number, and my security question. Now that my money is stolen and I have to wait 2 weeks 10 business days its ok to speak with the fraud department?

When I finally did speak with the fraud department I askedd them this same question then I was told it is up to the customer service person to determine if they will transfer you to the fraud department or not. That is crazy and a policy that needs to be changed immediately because if I was allowed to speak with the fraud department when this fist happened and they blocked the account I would have changed the information then and they would not have been able to steal the money. My account being blocked and I had to send forums to the fraud department should have been enough cause for me to speak with the fraud department then also and this nightmare would not have happened.

Your foreign customer service is the worst I have ever experienced very hard to understand english, rude will only answer question that they want to ask not the questions that you asked them.

I have been a netspend customer for many years and have quite of my friends that use netspend because I told them about it, and this is the worst experience I have ever had with any company. I hope you will straighten this matter very soon and I hope to here from you soon and get this matter resolved.

Another Netspend Nightmare, half of husbands pension was stolen out of his Netspend Account by being hacked, now we can't pay rent, getting total run around

I was a customer for three years. They blocked my account because they said they couldn't verify my address. So I got a check back for my remaining balance. I went to open an account with Paypal and they said they couldn't open an account because Netspend said I commited Fraud. I think the only solution is they have to pay. So once they start having to pay for their fraudulant behavior. If you can't truely proove that I comitted fraud I want some hard earned cash, yes I said cash for holding up my SSI for almost 3 weeks. It still says on my credit report That I comitted fraud with Netspend Well I think about 3 times the amount held back plus maybe 100 dollars a day till they correct this injustice. What ya think fair minded consumers. We'd be up to about 3, 000 by now. Any lawyers want to make some easy money. pasleyprints.mp@gmail.com The clock is still ticking. I'm sorry but I have never hear where you have to send your social and id and proof of address to activate a card reading all this makes me want to just get my money back all they should have is my address and my card number not all that how can I get my money back

hello my name is timothy davis social [protected], my card was stoling from my locker room at work, along with all my id my account was cleaned out I have not given no one permesion to use card so im asking for your help to get my money back I have direct deposit in was in amount of 324.00 and so change I talked to some one at netspend today and was tolk to send you this letter and that I will get new card in 7-to 10 days and I would be reinberst for stolen moneys. thank you for your time

NETSPEND DON'T CARE IF YOUR MAMA DIE ..that sad why people have to go through so much to get their money back...Netspend is not the card for no one... Iam experiencing problems with them now. .my tax refund was post to my card...soon as it posted they block my card ND cancelled it.. Talking bout suspicious activity... that a lie!l call them they said I called and say my card was stolen...really? Why would I call and say that on the day I get my refunds...it's been over a month and they still put ppl on the phone lying and hang up on me...the will not let me speak with a supervisor or fraud department... That bad business ...they keep telling me everything but when they gonna send my money back... Saying it under investigation with IRS...I called their bank ND the IRS ...the bank say netspend still holding my refund ND IRS say NETSPEND is lying they DNT have nothing to do with my account after they sent my refunds ...IRS say my refunds was sent to the taxpayers bank...I called them they say Netspend have my refunds...ND NETSPEND keep tell me they waiting on IRS... My question is for what? IRS say they must send my refunds back to the taxpayers bank so that the taxpayers bank can send me a paper check ND they netspend still holding my money like they trying to steal it...I been through hell ND BAC trying to get my earn tax refund...I hope no one experience this...NETSPEND do not care..the people work their must don't have no family because they sure DNT have Morse ...I can't wait until this night mare is over ...or which ever one of their racial customers service cancel and block my card feel my pain

This morning I spoke to an Andrew from the fraud dept. We were called by a James who claimed to work for Southern California Edison. He told us we needed to pay $792 or our electricity would be disconnected. We paid at the local MoneyGram Kiosk and later I received a call for an additional request of $750 deposit. When I refused to pay, I called Southern California Edison to complain. That is where I was told this was all a scam. I attempted to stop payment at MoneyGram and with NetSpend. Please it is important someone call me to immediately attempt to resolve this matter. It is difficult to get through your phone system since I am prompted for a net spend card number.

NETSPEND is the worst ever. I've been calling in a bout the block on my account for TWO days now and the problem has yet to be fix and from the looks of it it'll never be fix. I couldn't pay my sons daycare I couldn't get my sons medication all because of a BLOCK that NETSPEND places onto my account. Now did I request for thei black HELL no😡. I didn't ask NETSPEND to monitor my money l ask for an account to put MY MONEY. As I am typing I am on hold I hate calling NETSPENDS customer service department (15mins on hold) the Rep has yet to come back to the phone to say anything to me not ever to refresh her hold yet she will still be on a JOB(Not a good look for a customer rep that represents the company). I've requested for a manager there seems to be not one on SITE i asked for a Supervisor and it was like pulling teeth so I can only imagine what like getting this manager. All I want is MY MONEY. Me giving the company a rating would be a negative -0. You guys are horrible netspend

On Feb. 2 I was suppose to receive my income direct deposit with Netspend. Didn't receive refund due to the fact that I need to show proof of income. Ok understandable so I send in proof of income and was told it take 8 hours to process. Fine. So I'm patiently waiting call back two days later no one has received information and wasn't given a reference number the first time which they should given me one so I have to send information again and wait 8 more hours (getting very frustrated now) so decide to call back the next day still haven't took the block off my card and haven't received refund yet. I think Netspend is full of crap I recommended this card to a lot of people this year and regret that I did a mistake I will never make again. UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER

NetSpend ach return fees

Netspend does not reimburse fees that paypal incurrs on your card. Even though I submitted a letter showing netspend that it ws their mistake, I was told that the $4 in multiple attempts to get a large amount on the card on the same day was their error. They told me to look at my contract. So I closed the account.

NetSpend horrible customer service

Having tried to get through on their automated phone service well over a dozen times, I had to talk to an actual person to get my balance. Now I have two charges for needing my account info, because their phone system is all messed up! I've lost money to these jerks for checking my balance at an ATM I'm allowed to use (never saw THAT in the fine print!) and for all types of things. These people are SHADY! Stay far far away from them. Worst bank ever, period.

NetSpend unauthorized transfer

Please never use netspend. I had my tax return deposit in my account on the 8th of feb 2012 and by the 10th of feb 2012 I had an unauthorized transfer to occur. $2, 440.00 was taken out my account and transferred to someone I dont know. I filed a complaint and now waiting on an affidavit from the company through my email 24 to 48 hrs is what they told me its 2 days later. Tomorrow is the deadline for them I swear im taking them to the media. There are so many horror stories about netspend I wish I would known.

This just happened to me tonight. It was all the money I have in the world right now and my gas tank is empty. I have to wait until the morning to call them. I spoke with an agent earlier because I could not get into my account. I transferred everything to my savings so it couldn't be used and was going to withdraw everything tomorrow, however an hour later everything was gone and transferred user to user to a James Coleman who I've never even heard of. I can't get into my account again either because my user name/password/email has been changed. NetSpend direct deposits

Ive been using netspend for years never had a problem. The one time I decide to put my refund on my card they wouldn't deposit it, kept giving me the run around really frustrated me have bills to pay is why I decided to do so. I would advise anyone thinking about using netspend dont do it! I really wish I would have taken some time out to research them I would have never signed up for this bs card! Canceled my card went over to visa no problems yet.

NetSpend direct deposit

They told me that I wouldnt have any problems being a tax preparer as far as recieving my fees charged to those customers onto my card and they blocked the card when the fees became available on the card today. To add to the problems, they will not let me close the account. Bottom line they lied to get me and 20 of my customers business.

Well my story is identical to the ones above. Have had nstspend for 5 years4month and 13 days and never had a pblm but recently the same crap no check its now the 5th so im pasdu on my well everything my phone is next inline to be shut off..our life ins was a derct pay from my card my netflix was to exc. Exc but today is the fifth i have drs apts and copays to see them i have medication i must be on or i will die and no money from my diisabilty derect deposit yet when i called by the 3rd becuse that has happend before but tge YOU WILL GET YOU CASH 2 DAYS EARLER?no longer aplies...and the if you have over 500 set up with derect dep there was soposto be no service fee of 5 bucks i would. Have just payed the 5 bucks them idk what with my money, but seems to me they should not bill us for somthing thats there falt and then overdraft my account to get there fee..becuse thay could. What the hell is up with this bank they went to hell after all the years ive been a customer dont matter . Now tge rsp told me thay are closed weekends and holidays...WHAT?That has never been a pblm for years and now they have failled to hold up there side of the deal completly . Like the other lady said HELLO YOUR AN INTERNET BANK YOU HAVE NO DAYS TO CLOSE AND OPEN THE DOORS thats not what i agreed to at all none of it is...i just Need my ssd check or i may die without my meds and you know what if that happens then they are looking at a wrongfull death sute becuse my loved ones will sue netspind and thay will win...Lisa TMoreno

i had my refund direct deposited onto my netspend visa debit card and it was sent to them on april 9 2009 from internal revenue service and netspend hasnt posted it to my card and everytime i call i am only being directed back to internal revenue and being rushed off of the telephone.

I have been with netspend since 2007. Until this year I have never had any problems with them. In February 2012 a company from 3 years ago was able to withdrawl nearly $200 from my account then they add over draft charges to boot. After 3 days we finally got our money put back on the card from the company and the overdraft taken care of. Today netspend stated that we would get our VA dd and thenscrewed everyone by not doing so and not giving us a straight answer and this is memorial day weekend. Lots of people are missing out on the holiday, food and bills that needed to be taken care of and family graduation. ISm done with netspend there are other places to bank.

Do not under any circumstances use this company. I have been a customer of Netspend for several years without a problem until recently. I have done numerous transactions using my NetSpend Visa card, to pay for items won on EBay. I have an account with PayPal to pay for my purchases. When I tried to pay funds are supposed to be transfered from my NetSend card to PayPal. I was given a message that said "this card cannot be used for this transaction"! I immediately call NetSpend and was told that "our system is down, wait a few hours". Well needless to say, I am still waiting after several days. You will be put on hold for a very long time, and yes the customer srevice reps sound if they are reading from a script. Called their corporate headquarters and was told "someone will get back to me". I encourage EVERYONE who has been RIPPED OFF to contact the Attorney Generals Office of their state. It is not enough to complain amongst ourselves regarding the shady practices of this company. They have scammed Thousands and will continue to do so. I have read too many stories about customers who have direct deposited money just to have it vanish. Remember "Bernie Maddoff"!

hello, my name is patricia myers, the department of treasury sent my refund on june 12th, and they still have'nt posted it to my account.i had to fax my w-2 form, my 1040 form, my 5405 form, and before i faxed my 5405 form, they told me that after i faxed that they would deposit my money, well i faxed that then, they told me i had to fax my ultility bill, i thought they was a prepaid card company, i fill like i'm being integragated.i picked this prepaid card company, because after reading thru the terms and conditions, i thought they was alright, guess i was wrong, anyway, i faxed my ultility bill, and they still have'nt posted my refund to my account.my bill is do too.i don't understand really.the irs already did there job, i wish i never chose netspend for my tax refund, never again i won't recommend this company to noone, especially if there bills are do, and there relying on netspend to post there deposit.

NetSpend allowing unauthorized charges

I had a company (Peoplefinders.com) make an unauthorized charge to my card. I called and had the charge blocked and the money returned to my account. They went ahead and let the peoplefinders.com charge my account anyway even though me as the owner had told them that this company was illeglally charging my account. Great comapny to be watching over your money I now have $1.79 in my account.

THEY HANG UP ON THEIR CUSTOMERS AND BLAME PEOPLE FOR THINGS THAT THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR. THEY SAY I HAVE CHARGE OFFS BUT IT WAS PAID AND I NEVER PAID ANYTHING I HAVE EVEN HAVE IT RECORDED.

NetSpend allowed unauthorized transactions

Netspend allowed 3 unauthorized transactions. I already had a negative balance and they allowed it to go even more with a total of $387 negative. How can they allow someone to take out that much money if there wasnt anything in there! I told them I did not authorize it so put it back! They said they could not. They also would not put a supervisor on the phone!

NetSpend customer service

I called to cancel my card and I was Hung up on 6 times when I was being polite and then I waited 20 min to speak to a supervisor and I never got to because they Hung up on me again and the first time I actually got to talk to a representative she was rude didn't listen to a single word I said and after yelling over my voice when I was talking she Hung up on me as well. This company is worthless and to anyone considering them for business I would strongly discourage you from doing so they are the worst customer service people I have ever felt with by FAR!

I Roger Vincent would like to have you to see if you could disconteaue the overdraft charges on my skylight one card account so I could find out how much my ARBY, s pay rowe deduchunes . ARBY, s restruant manamint has lowered my hours & day to wark .I, m only warking 3 day &3 hours a week &they lit me rebuild my hours to 4to 5 day &weeks to wark my regular warking time . I would like you to send me feed back this thuresday to find out how much I, m making on my ARBY, s warking pay rowe. i agree... I am on the phone right now with the company due to a ATM malfunction... and Skylight took the money off of my card and NOTHING dispensed from the ATM. They are being very rude in regards to trying to handle the matter. I literally just got laughed at by a customer service guy that thought it was pretty funny that I am waiting this long for them to handle the matter. Then the manager got on the phone and laughed... what type of company is this? They have children handling customer service... IT ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE CHILD LABOR! They have NO IDEA whats going on. Its Sad and VERY unprofessional.

NetSpend refused to assist to give my money

Dear sir / madam:
I am file a complaint to netspend / sell.com, of not getting my refund of product that it came. The producted it came damages. The ad of seller from sell.com. The ad sayed, good condition and when I received it. I put in at my dvd player, that the movie " perry mason movie complete collection plus bonus. That it charger from my debit card the amount of $30. 95 plus $70. 00 for damages. I am going to the federal department consumer affair, for the fraud of the product I received, I will not stop.

NetSpend lost money in account

On july 1 my husband and I took a short trip to ogden utah. We checked in july 1 (I had already paid online for room) the next morning I was able to go online to check my husbands account, to find out to our horror that someone accessed my husbands credit card number and made another card (Since we only have one card) and went on a buying spree buying gift cards at three walmarts in new mexico. We immediately called netspend and cancelled our card. We called the walmarts and the managers investigated and one even had the man on video. We then called the sheriff in new mexico to report this. Armed with this information we sent all necessary documentation to netspend. We had to cancel our trip short because it wiped my husbands account out and we were broke. Online netspend will tell you they work to make sure your money is safe and they protect you, blah blah blah, this is all a lie they never called us, this was definetly suspious activity, three waqlmarts all gift card buying in one days time?Hello! Also this was to be resolved in ten days, after 80 days and three faxes, 25 phone calls and 10 emails, we were finally told they would not return our $1463 back because we had used our card to purchase our room and checked in with the card! Hello that was not the issue, how could they screw this up so badly? We told them upfront we had the card in our pocession at all times, we think someone copied the number from the form used on the 17th of june to make a deposit into the account. Nevertheless, we offered all kinds of evidence to netspend and we got a curt reply from netspend that they did not need our help, they would investigate. After this happened I went online and saw all kinds of complaints about netspend and how they continue to rip people off, what I want to know is why the da or another government department has not done something about this fradulent so called bank. This happened to my husbands account two weeks after my own netspend account had been robbed, money was transferred to someone elses account. This makes me wonder if it is an inside job, since both times it occured right after we recieved our social security benefits. Who would know that? What can be done, does anyone have a solution?

This company is nothing more than an internet identity theft company!...They walk a VERY fine line...Just enough to appear legit...They WILL get around to stealing your money and identity...sometimes sooner...sometimes later...BUT IT WILL HAPPEN...make no mistake.. it will happen! NetSpend security features

Netspend does it again... (Read my 1st complaint below)... Netspend says it has security features to protect its consumers, but I am doubting that now as they have once again allowed charges to a card that was reported lost over a year ago, for some reason the merchants that had this number to which I had dealings with are still allowed to debit the card even though the card was taken out of service as lost by netspend... That brings to question if netspend really has consumer protection in mind and if there security features are any good... How do you use a card thats suppose to be inactive? I fear that netspend has issues with its security features that it dosent have a handle on... My recommendation to consumers is buyer beware and dont believe the hype about you and your money being secured... I hpoe this dosent happena 3rd time... Following is my 1st complaint: I had a netspend prepaid card so I would not have to use my real credits cards when buying over internet or paying some bills, I had a problem with the company when I didnt have the funds on the card and they paid a bill that was not authorized to be paid, they said that they had paid the bill because then they would deduct it from monies I would deposit later, I told them I didnt authorize them to pay any bills for me especially if the funds were not on the card, I then told them to cancel the card and they refused saying I needed to pay them 1st, I refused and told them that they needed to recover what ever unauthorized money they had put on my card from the merchant...

I have had over $900 in unauthorized charges taken out of my card and have had -0- luck in getting these back. They have no security features on their cards to protect their customers from, oh - 8 consecutive payments to Itunes in the span of 30 minutes. I followed everything that I was supposed to and I still didn't get my money back. Buyer beware - there is no protection over your money!

Warning to everyone who uses this company for direct deposit! I had fraudulant charges on my account from the UK (almost $500) and after 2 months of trying to get a statement from these idiots to dispute the charges, I still have yet to receive one. Mail, fax, ect I can't ever get one from them! I also lost my online access because the fraudulant card was cancelled. Everytime I call they promise to send me one, I never get it. My hands are tied, I can't even file a police report without the paperwork they refuse to send me. Do yourself a favor and destroy any card you have with them and deal with a real bank!

NetSpend ripping customers off/scam

I was charged for a failed transfer of funds that 'looped' from my account, back into my account (I didn't know that I couldn't transfer funds out of my account at the time, until I spoke with netspend and their funds-transferring associate, vesta) , after the transaction occurred. Vesta confirmed that netspend did charge $5.95, when I tried transferring $31.87 on june 13, 2011 to what I thought was supposed to go to my bank account. However, vesta also confirms that I was credited back of the $31.87 only $25.92, which also happened in the same night. However, netspend's system shows that it posted on reversed dates, and not in chronological order. Netspend's customer service representative (Chris) said (After lying about the charge of $5.95) that netspend did charge it, but never posted it. I noticed the pattern as well. When I asked to speak to their supervisor, I was on hold for another 20-plus minutes before I hung up, knowing that they were deliberately blowing me off, because they didn't want to deal with their mistakes (Or answering for them for that matter).
My friend that I send money to also said she's been getting charged nearly every single time I send money to her netspend's $10.00 monthly fee (Two or more times in one month) , and had of the $70.00 that I sent her on june 28, 2011 $50.00 held for the merchant. Netspend's automated system says the minimum when paying at the gas pump to be held is $75-100.00 is to be held for the merchant (No reason why, when the funds are guaranteed funds).
Netspend has been also using their transferring funds company (Vesta) and their parent-company (Metabank) as scapegoats or fronts, by telling the customers to file complaints or inquiries with either of them and not netspend, when netspend was the one conducting in such indiscretions.

NetSpend security features

I had a netspend prepaid card so I would not have to use my real credits cards when buying over internet or paying some bills, I had a problem with the company when I didnt have the funds on the card and they paid a bill that was not authorized to be paid, they said that they had paid the bill because then they would deduct it from monies I would deposit later, I told them I didnt authorize them to pay any bills for me especially if the funds were not on the card, I then told them to cancel the card and they refused saying I needed to pay them 1st, I refused and told them that they needed to recover what ever unauthorized money they had put on my card from the merchant.. I then tore up the card and reported it loss... They then said that the card was blocked and asked if I wanted another card I declined it... A year later after the card was reported loss and no futher transactions had taken place durning that time I recieved a notice that another transaction had taken plac on the blocked cardi was furious, I contacted netspend and asked why a transaction had taken place on a card reported loss to them and blocked by them.. They started dancing around the issue by tell me that the transaction was done via computer and that they didnt know why it went through, but that since it was via computer and my account was still opene even though the card was blocked and on record as being blocked that the card number was still good.. Even though there records showed the card reported and blocked they recommended that I contact the merchant and dispute the charge.. I was floored and told them that the problem was not mine it was there problem and that if I was put into collections or my credit report damanged that I would seek futher action against them since they were the ones at fault... Te folks at netspend simply tried to pass the buck and make me accountable, I told them that any court understood the word blocked and that we could settle it there... Netspend advertising touts itself as having advnce security features to protect consumers yet they failed tremendousley here and would not take responsiblity here and made every effort to say it was my fault, how is that possiable when I followed proper procedure to block and cancel the crd and they show it on record as me having done so... I recommend you think twice before dealing with them and look real hard before using netspend... If they are ligit as they say which could be the case there security features inplace to protect the consumers is very poor and you can find yourself with headachs over them paying bills for you even when there are no funds on the card... Prepaid takes on a different meaning with netspend.. Consumers beware...

Thank you Travis V. for asking to assist me with my issue concerning netspend and unauthorized charges on a blocked card ...I am not one to make waves however I feel this issue was important enough to let the public know what had taken place especially with a prepaid visa card irrguardless of who the issuer was, prepaid is just that prepaid !..no funds no transaction...however it seems netspend may be giving new meaning to prepaid with it paying merchants even when funds are not available or the card is blocked, even my bank would decline a charge if I used my debit card and no funds were available..I dont care to give any futher information to netspend concerning me or my previous account as I have already contacted them and we ended by danceing a waltz in them buck passing and insulting my intelligence, I think and truley belive Im not the only person who may have had this issue, so if netspend cares to assist in this matter they need to look closely at their records and any pass issues concerning unauthorized charges and correct the security issue at hand especially with BLOCKED cards, my intent is not to defame or discredit netspend as I think it has its merrits and value, however when a representative attempts to pass the blame on the consumer in a case where they were definateley at fault it says alot about an organization and its representatives, I think that this issue could have been avoided and handled more proffessionally if employees were trained properly concerning issues where there is no doubt a mistake had occured, but to insult ones intellegence and make one feel they have no recourse only leads to misunderstandings and frustrations along with ill feelings...I am an American veteran I would defend netspends rights to do buisness anyday, but I would also defend Americans against unwarrant and unjust wrongs thrusted upon them by anyone or any entity, isnt it enough that Corporations today in some cases have become inpersonal to those that support it through consumeriasm..again I think this is an issue that could and can be resolved with the proper concern, I thank you Travis V for seeking to assist me...however lets assist those others also that may have this issue by reviewing the security measures and protocal netspend has in place to protect consumers...I support netspend and all Americans right to do buisness, I just dont support passing the buck or the blamegame...I look forward to this issue being corrected as I believe netspend cares since you have taken the time to respond to my complaint on complaint board.com...I will place this message on the board as I did my issue concerning this problem...I wish netspend and you all well... Net spend allowed my federal refund to be transferred out out of my account to a 3rd party card holder and all of my remaining funds to be withdrawn after my card was intercepted and activated by identity thieves. No one from netspend has contacted me. I have filled out all .forms and written letters. I have stage 3 breast cancer and now have had to cancel my chemo treatment due to lack of funds for copays. I am sickened by the way this has been handled. I am protected by visa and by law. How can netspend break those laws and contracts? The customer service is the worst. I am in process of filing a lawsuit for damages, have contacted turbotax, The FDIC, IRS, and an attorney to file a class action lawsuit on behalf of the thousands of customers who have had this exact same experience this year alone. I will be taking this to the national news on Monday. Since netspend has refused to follow contract rules with visa.

NetSpend $200 taken from my account! no refund!

I opened a netspend debit card to save money for my children I made my first $200 deposit withn two days. I was so happy! Then I check my balance a few days later and my $200 were gone. It was transfered to another netspend customer names erika brown! I called netspend it was very hard to reach a customer service rep then they didn't understand and gave me the runaround for hours. My phone battery literaly started to beep. A few hours later I called back and they said to mail in a dispute letter. I did that and they said they haven't recieved it. They are giving me the runaround again! They try any excuse not to give you your money back. They didn't need my signature to open the account or take my money! I hate this bank! They still have not given me my mnoey back! I want my childrens money back! They stole $200 dollars from my kids! Don't trust this bank!

NetSpend fraud

There's was a few unauthorized charges to my account
Called netspend they stated it would take 90 days but
My credit cared that was used will be closed two months after I filed the first dispute another company iwth an unauthorixed transaction charged my old card that was cancelled mind you I already received the new card in the mail when I called all they said was that they will file another dispute and they did acknowledge it was there fault but did not want to help
Stay away stay away im not the only that this has happpened to! Stay away they are crooks

on September 4th or 14th I deposited a total amount of 400.00$ to my netspend account. the payment was placed thru an Advance America payment center since I was not close to my reg. unit store. they said it would be ok . I wrote several dispute letters several claim numbers they provided no help. it will be a year this coming September, [protected]. I never got my money they closed the dispute by saying the merchant had provided a copy of the signature purchase to buy a tailgate satilite, well I for one would not waste money like that. 2 the person was a young man whom I gave my money to deposit it in there at the office. I believe he made the purchase with the card information. I am not go away from this I am going to pester your company to honor my loss. they did not provide my id for purchase, I did not authorize the purchase therefore if I do not hear from your company on a sure THING TO REALLY INVESTIGATE, NOT JUST CALL AND HAVE PERSON SAY, YES THERE WAS A PURCHASE WITH THE CARD, OK THANK YOU HANG UP AND DETERMINE IT WAS ME! I ALSO REQUESTED A COP OF THE SALES INVOICE I REQUESTED ? SO WHERE IS THE PROOF? THE PURCHASER WAS ME? I DEMAND MY MONEY LIKE I SAID EARLIER, I WILL FILE THE LAW SUIT NECESSARY. I AM VERY SERIOUS, THIS IS A PRINCIPAL MATTER A RIGHT TO FILE.

Well, Netspend got me too. My entire family is away on vacation. I had my payroll direct deposited...over $1200. When we returned to the hotel I got a text message that someone unsubscribed me from"anytime alert". If I didn't do this for me to call. I called the number and found out I was left with. 94 cents in my checking and. 16 cents in my savings. I had to wait until this morning to talk with a customer service rep. They filed a dispute claim and now waiting. In the meantime, I called my Attorney. He advice was this: 1.) Get in touch with the bank commissioner in South Dakota (where Meta Bank) is located. 2.) File a claim against Meta Bank & Netspend corporation in my local magistrate court. (They may or may not show). My guess is they won't show. 3.) File suit against Netspend In Austin, TX.

I'm going to see what Netspend is going to do... give them reasonable time to resolve my issue. I will be filing a claim in my local courts and place judgement on them. I think if everyone that has been deceived follow those three avenues, eventually an Attorney will step up and shut them down. I may or may not ever recover my $1200+ but if I can stop them all together from taking people's monies then it will be worth it all. We Need To Shut Meta Bank and Netspend down got good.

I am pissed off I have been waiting for them to return a payment form feb who can I contact to get this resolved its 303.00 I have talked to cc and they keep telling me 90 days I dont think so I should not have to wait this long in order to get my money I am the victim this is not the way you run a company does any one know how to get this resolved faster I cant seem to get any help I tried to get ceo number to no avail.

I have that same problem...direct TV made an unauthorized debit into my account
And took 447.00 out...got ready to pay my light bill because it was due that day and up being declined so I called netspend to check my transactions and direct TV took all my money so guess what my lights got turned off and netspend act like they don't care and to top that off I couldn't pay my child support cause that happened. Its been 2 months and still nothing has happened from netspend.
