Go to http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp then copy in the domain name you are checking out. For me, as a quick check it is interesting to find out
A) how secretive the outfit is being ? is the name registered to a bricks and mortar visible company?
B) When was it set up and how long has it been operating?
C) Who is the registrar? ? In case you want to complain about an illegal operation.
Go to the registry data, then you find the address of the registrar 'who is' server. (e.g. For sitejabber.com you need to go to http://who.godaddy.com/whoischeck.aspx)
Go to that, run another search and you should get contact addresses / administrator details etc.
More experienced / better qualified internet sleuths might be able to add their guidance on how to drill down through the available information and what warnings to look for. All help gratefully received!

I used to be a customer of Network Solutions for many years, but not anymore. Recently, I wanted to grant access to my domain name account to the current webmaster of my website. This was so that he could transfer the domain name to the company he works with. However, the people at Network Solutions placed a one-month transfer lock on the domain name, which was quite frustrating. They mentioned that the lock could be removed by contacting customer service, but when I reached out to their online representatives, they claimed they couldn't assist me with this issue. It's really disappointing that Network Solutions imposed the transfer lock and now they refuse to remove it. This experience has been extremely frustrating, and I have decided that I will never use Network Solutions again.
THIEFS AND FALSE ADVERTISING! Signed up for 12 months for specific price and the 1st month was great. Then the second month...Not even close. Customer support is a joke. Was told everything was squared away and I would receive an email for confirmation and within a few business days for money to be refunded and the rest of my 12-month period would be original advertised pricing. Get a ticket number for reference to what was supposed to be solved. Today (day 11), still no email or refund. I contact customer service on the 'chat' services and give all my info for them to pull up account as well as the ticket number, which is apparently no good because I was told that this particular form of customer service does not have access to the 'My Time customer service' notes! Smells like what it is, BS! Then the customer service rep had the audacity to tell me that the pricing fluctuates!? Then he provided a totally separate ticket number. Gee thanks for all the help. NOT HARDLY! I'm sorry but what was advertised says, 'x amount for 12-months'. NOT 'x amount for 1 month and then we just charge you whatever we want after you sign up and we get your bank card information'. FALSE ADVERTISING! DO NOT USE NETWORK SOLUTIONS! A star is not deserved but unfortunately its required to leave a review. Too bad they don't offer the option to leave a scowl emoji instead of stars. CROOKS AND THIEFS. I bet nothing gets resolved here either.
They have the worst customer service that I have ever received in my life. I have been trying to get my email address updated so I can access my account for over a month. I have provided all requested documentation several time to only received an email saying the change would be complete in 24 hours. However I keep calling back every day and it still has not been change. I have to stay on hold for over 30 minutes each time only to be told it has not been changed and they don't know why but will put in another request.
NETWORK NIGHTMARE My website is suspended because ICANN (an arm of Network Solutions) sent an email to confirm my website to a defunct email address. Because the email was never received, my website went offline. (blackbeards.restaurant)I have made multiple calls, spent hours going over the same information, sent requested documents to prove I am the owner, including a notarized letter from my local mayor, yet the site is still down. Several agents have now told me "no worries," the problem is fixed. NO. IT'S NOT! I am now a week into this bizarre conundrum, trying to prove my ownership and going around and around, and my site is still down. Although I have attempted to find higher-*** to contact, they cleverly are hidden behind this horrible company. If I ever get my site back, I'm moving it far, far away from Network Nightmare.

In general, I would rate them quite well as things have been going smoothly for a long time. However, there are always additional fees for various things, such as fires, and so on. But my most recent experience was not okay at all. A few months ago, I received emails from Network Solutions regarding my domain. They mentioned something about improving my email account and updating settings. Since they host everything, I called them to inquire. The person I spoke to assured me that everything was fine and no changes were necessary. I thought it might be an attempt to get my login information, so I ignored it, thinking it was a fake email.
Fast forward to yesterday when my email suddenly stopped working. It turns out that the email I received was legitimate and the settings did need to be updated because I have a third party managing my website. The previous customer service representative I spoke to gave me poor advice, but the representative I spoke to last night was knowledgeable and apologetic. I believe this wasn't the first time they had encountered such an issue. It seems like there is a lack of proper training. It would be nice to be compensated for the loss of my business email for a couple of days while everything was being restored. It's ridiculous that this issue even occurred in the first place.
THE E-MAIL SERVICE IS POOR AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DEPLORABLE. Whatever representation that is made by any customer service representative is devoid of credibility. I have not had e-mail for the past week (10/18/2022 to this moment 10/24/2022 6:00pm EST). I have been in contact with Network Solutions almost daily since 10/19/2022 without any resolution. Representatives informed that Network Solutions was "migrating their e-mail hosting to a new platform" and was "migrating their service to the cloud". I called numerous times and have multiple I-# and S-# 'tickets', each agent ensuring that my case will be "elevated to the engineers on the back end". Every time I have asked to speak to a supervisor - waiting on hold for hours - I am always informed that "none are available because they are speaking with other customers" or "they are in a meeting right now". There is no corporate number to reach anyone at Network Solutions. The company that owns Network Solutions is WEB.COM. I have called their number multiple times and it goes to a voicemail that states "Jacksonville receptionist unavailable". All of the agents I have spoken with are in the Philippines. When I inquired about where the "engineers" and "back end team" are located, they informed me that they are in the U.S. or Canada. When I requested their telephone number, I was informed that "they have no phone number and cannot be contacted". I have asked these agents how they communicate with the "engineers" and "back-end team" and they informed me they communicate with them by e-mail. I have requested the e-mail address of the "engineers" and "back-end team" but they could not share this information. It is not simply that my service has been disrupted but the explanations and promises are devoid of credibility. I regret that Network Solutions is my internet service provider (web hosting and e-mail). When leaving a review, at least one star must be given - otherwise, I give no stars
Email bounce backs since July, when their updated/changed their servers. Several hours and tickets (7-8) opened and still no resolutions. Each time on call is an hour or more, changes made on their end, They close the ticket w/o verification and am promised a call back from supervisor(s) and no one calls. This support is beyond ridiculous and all overseas. .Every time I call, they open a new I ticket, S ticket and and an I ticket - which is supposed to be for the back support and engineering. Long times on calls and then may get disconnected.

I got charged monthly services fees that I did not authorize. One way to contact them is only go through computer chat. They charge you for no reasons and will not give you refunds. For over a year I've been automatically logged off my business email account hosted by Network Solutions. Three weeks ago I decided I'd had it with this annoyance and tried to find a solution. On my account there's an auto-timeout setting; mine was and has always been set to "never" - never auto log me off the system. This began what has turned out to be a never-ending nightmare with Network Solutions. I've spent more than 10 hours over the course of 3 weeks trying to get their tech staff to fix this. The hold time just to get to a rep is a minimum of an hour. Once I get connected, they pass me from one agent to another, eventually dropping my call. That puts me back to the start, calling in for support. Last Friday the agent assisting me discovered that their servers that controlled my account had their time-out setting "out of sync" with mine and he said that was the problem...and he adjusted it. Profoundly happy that he'd found the problem, I thank him. I also asked if i could get some/any compensation for my many hours of grief and lost business time spent trying to resolve what turned out to be a problem on their end. He advised me to call billing the following Monday. The manager of billing graciously agreed that I'd been through hell and he gave me a credit adjustment of eleven dollars and change. Not much, but at least a symbolic gesture after my 12 years of being a customer. And that was supposed to fix the problem. Today, Monday the 24th of January, I've been auto-logged off their email servers three times. Outraged, I spent an hour on hold until I reached an agent. This time she told me that this was a known problem and advised me to sign using a different URL. I tried it and their servers would not allow me to proceed. I asked her to check my history log of my problems...and she could not find them. I've lost faith in Network Solutions. I don't know how to get my problem resolved. They won't allow me to speak with a manager. Help!
Network Solutions updated their software in July and since this time, I have experienced a lot of ongoing issues with my email account that is hosted by Network Solutions. I have called in several times and always speak with a different person and each person tells me that they have fixed the issues and this is all good within 4 hours - but it never is! I am using their webmail. Since all of the issues began, over a month ago, I no longer forward my webmail to my Outlook because they said this was not going to work anymore. But yet, even though they tried to push the blame onto Outlook, they still are not able to fix the problem that they created. ALL of my emails go into the SPAM folder and I have to go this folder and mark them "Not Spam" each time. It does not care if I get the same email 20 times in one day and I have marked each one Not Spam, the next email will still go into SPAM. Now after the last call 4 days ago I am getting error messages when I try to email people from my Outlook account using the vermontdisplay.com email address. THIS Is a new problem based on what *** 'so called FIXED' 4 days ago. I am not sure what to do. I have my website and webmail with this company that does not seem to stand up to their own issues and errors which add hours and hours to my daily workload. In addition to asking for someone to truly fix the issues that Network Solutions has created, I would like some type of compensation for paying for services that truly are not being provided.
I have tried repeatedly to cancel services that were reserved for a business potential that ended up never being used at all. I even got a new credit card account number and cancelled my old one due to unauthorized charges. This morning I received an email thanking me for my payment of $73.98! I have no idea how my new credit card number was even located, but I have not authorized these charges. I previously both called and emailed and after much effort was told my services would no longer be charged. Buyer beware! Horrible company to work with. They even charged me a reinstatement fee! On VideoPoker.Com's *** on a $3 bet in the bonus round, I hit 8 out of 10 and then the game froze. This is happened to me many times, but when the game freezes in the bonus rounds you lose everything going into the bonus round and in the bonus round. I have almost all this developers apps on all my devices. Unfortunately, they have the best graphics and when things are going well they're going well. However, for those unexpected times when things do not go well they are not there for you. Due to the many problems I have had with these apps is probably the reason they won't get back to me. They just don't wanna be bothered with me. I have a fire tablet and an iPhone give it to me by the veterans administration and also I have a Samsung phone that was my own prior to that. I have these apps and all the devices, and then you're not functioning the same on each device. On the apple device I used to have no problems. On the Samsung device, they are occasional problems but they seem to work themselves out if you just have the patience to wait. On the fire device when it freezes it's a wrap. I have lost minor winnings on the Samsung but I did not bother with it because it was trivial to me. And all the time you would take to get anything done would that be worth my time
In August, and then again today, Oct. 11, 2022, NETWORK SOLUTIONS internally changed my account to auto-pay, and charged my account with things I did not recognize. In August, the charges included my website, which is not due to be renewed until December. I got a refund for there fraudulent charges, and triple checked I was not on autopay for my website or anything else. At 12:01 am today, I was charged for another three years, out of the blue, which they will also be refunding. This has caused a problem for me as I reported this as Fraud and causing my debit card to be closed, another opened. They also created a "a***.online" and put it on my account and set up autopay for that as well? I will transfer my business from them in December, after over 20 years with them, because someone, or the entire business is engaged in fraudulent activity.

I cancelled all of the domains on the Network Solutions website as they were set up for auto renewal. I thought that I had everything cancelled but I was unaware of three security products that apparently came with the initial transaction. These three products were automatically charged to my credit card at $7.99 per product for a total of $23.97 per month. I didn't notice the charge until recently so I logged in to my Network Solutions account and although I was able to see that I was indeed being charged there was no place to delete the service or disable the auto renewal feature. I then called Network Solutions to cancel the products. I was informed that they do not offer refunds for monthly services but they were able to finally disable and cancel the service. I feel like I should get at least a partial refund because I was not able to see that I was being charged for additional products and it was actually a somewhat difficult process to get the products cancelled. I was on the phone with Network Solutions customer service for almost 1 hour for something that should only take a few minutes at most. There was no transparency in the ordering/cancellation process for what I initially purchased. Ordering products through network solutions is somewhat confusing as they try to add on unwanted and/or unnecessary services and I feel like I was "tricked" into ordering the security services when I made the original purchase of the domains. I was not interested in any kind of security or hosting at the time. I only wanted to "park" the domains in case I decided to use them at a later date. I never received any kind of statement or invoice for the products. I cancelled the domains that I purchased in January 2021 and I was subsequently charged for the next 20 months for the security products until I noticed the discrepancy.

On 8/24/22 at midnight our website and email all went offline because Network Solutions suspended our domain with not warning or real reason. When reaching out to support we were directed to a chat function or a phone number that was staffed by individuals based out of the united states who told us that we received a verification email (which we hadn't - we received one in 2021 which had been dealt with). This created hours of our entire team not receiving emails and our website being down. The response was it will take 1-2 Business days despite it being their fault.

False advertising by Network Solutions. The offer domain on their site.. specifically I purchased a .FILM domain Networks Solutions OFFERED for a project. They collected $120 The later said they don't support .film extension,, and refunded the money, despite the having offered it in the first place.. Now the domain name is no longer available to be supported by anyone else because they have LOCKED it up using my name. This is wrong.. And buyers need to be aware of deceptive practices by Network solutions.. either their website and sales representatives are lying when they OFFER .FILM extension domains or their support representatives are lying when they claim they don't support .Film in either case they have damaged me and my enterprise by locking up the name, making it unavailable to me even from others who claim to support it.
We have purchased many web addresses from Network solutions. In addition to the purchase of URL's, they deceptively have been charging us for Web Hosting Services that we never purchased or have used! It has been 6 weeks since that claim has been submitted and while i have received emails acknowledging the claim i have yet to receive any meaningful contact from a representative. There is no way to contact anyone that I can find online and therefore I have resorted to looking up every single employee and board member as well as state officials who may be able to assist me with my claim. My company's emails went down 4 days ago. I have yet to get a response from the "back-end team." Each time I call, I get the same scripted message that the problem has been escalated to a higher level and they will contact me within 24-48 hours. I've made numerous calls (12) and still there is no response. I am not given the opportunity to connect directly with the back-end team, and apparently the customer service reps can't either. This has been a very frustrating and harrowing experience. I would not recommend Network Solutions to anyone.

Networks solutions blocked for certain countries
I've been using networksolutions for 23 years and have multiple domains registered via them. However they put some countries on their block list with the result that it is not possible to contact them, pay for the domains or access the control panel. The only way to make updates is via friends living in other countries.
This is simply too bad and transferring of a domain to is also an issue.
Since Network Solutions recently "upgraded" their email service I have had nothing but problems and tech support, both by chat and a phone call cannot resolve it. They have offered to talk to their premier support at a cost of $99! This is for a service they have broken by changing mail server addresses together with MX and CNAME records. We are a UK-based non-profit charity and cannot afford to make expensive calls to the USA for, what is basic support. GoDaddy has 24-hour UK phone numbers and WhatsApp services, so why not Network Solutions? Now stuck 'between a rock and a hard place' with no option other than to pay, which our board of trustees will not accept. I will be emailing a complaint to their CEO.

Been trying to get NS to understand. I did not order a new hosting package. I have called multiple times and gotten no help in resolving this. They just keep telling me it’s my mistake. Or they don’t refund, sorry.
This is what happened.
I was alerted by NS that my hosting package for gooddogday.com was expiring, and helped by a NS support person to renew my gooddogday.com hosting service. Everything seemed to to go ok.

Desired outcome: A refund, or transfer of funds to renew gooddogday.com hosting (which was the original idea in the first place). I sent a screen grab of the two hosting packages I'm using and the new one NS gave me that I did not order or have any use for.
Been trying to get NS to understand. I did not order a new hosting package. I have called multiple times and gotten no help in resolving this. They just keep telling me it’s my mistake. Or they don’t refund, sorry.

Block put on my ability to transfer domain to another provider
July 3 2023, I had an email from NS saying that they had blocked my transfer of my domain to another provider. "Suspicious activity". Went to chat help service and they quoted an ORCA protocol. They will not transfer my domain for a month. This is nothing more than obstructive business practice - in the meantime I continue to suffer email issues because of separate providers of email and domain services. Asking for a domain transfer should be prompt.
Desired outcome: I followed teh correct steps to transfer domain. Just do it.
They've put a lock on my domain. I set the account up and apparently they have some random email address I've never seen before as the primary contact on my account. I have been trying to resolve the problem with NetSol for four weeks now. It's still not resolved as of today. I get the run around on their "chat" and on the phone. It's so frustrating. I feel as though I'm being held hostage.

They quoted me a price of ~$757 and charged my credit card $911. Unfortunately, they claim to have no record of the bad quote. A second technician on a follow-up phone call was able to confirm the mistake in the math, and i have a quote from a subsequent chat room technician: "I am sorry what was done to you is totally wrong."
I filed a dispute with my credit card company and now Network Solutions has told me that they are going to suspend my account and erase all of my files even though I am paid up through the end of this year without the additional $911 charge. Very unfair.
Desired outcome: Two possible outcomes, reverse the transaction entirely or credit me $154.
Webmail / Email
Back in January, Network Solutions changed some type of settings and left account holders to their own devices. They did send notices that these settings were going to change. But they didn't give instructions on how to change these settings. I am not a web person. I run an animal rescue. Now my webmail doesn't work and hasn't since January 31st. I can't get in touch with Network Solutions.
Desired outcome: Since I can't change my email away from Network Solutions, I simply need my email to work properly or to be shown how to fix it!!!
Prepaid email account requires “upsell” to continue
I’ve had a domain name registered and used an email address through Network Solutions for 10 years or more. I am currently prepaid until sometime in 2025, but they’re not downloading my emails as of a couple of days ago. When I called to inquire, they wanted to upsell me. It’s not cheap - I spend several hundred dollars every couple years or so for the domain name and then the email program, and then there’s an extra charge to make it “private”. At any rate, I couldn’t even get my email to work so they could send me a document that explains the credit and then the new charges…. I gave them a seldom used Gmail address to explain the details of their shakedown, and it came from a different company name and didn’t even include my credit for the prepayment. It’s very disturbing.
Desired outcome: I’d like Network Solutions to fulfill their end of our contract.
Website builder failures
We realize that no one at Network Solution cares, but the website builder we purchased months ago does not work (the website builder drops off whenever we attempt to build a page).
Despite multiple chats, Emails, and phone calls, Network Solution's "support" failed to correct the problem.
Please don't insult our intelligence by telling us to clear caches or change browsers, PCs, and laptops — done, done, and done multiple times.
Therefore the hosting services we purchased are unusable.
We provided authorization codes weeks ago and have yet to receive an acknowledgment.

Web and email hosting services down and no fix in sight
We moved our web and email hosting services to Network Solutions in February 2021 as the company we were using at the time had been sold and was no longer offering this service to small companies. We have had nothing but problems with our "professional email" services from Network Solutions since. It would appear that Network Solutions is not very careful about who uses its mail servers for what purpose, and many of those server IDs are on blacklists - many emaisl sent from our corporate domain have been bounced because the server they came through was blacklisted. Sometimes we would be advised by the recipient's mail server, sometimes not, so we would only find out via telephone that our corporate email communication had failed (usually days after deadlines had passed). When we tried to contact Network Solutions support about this issue, all they could offer was "ask the recipient to put you in their safe senders list" and would not escalate the problem further. Then, on October 25, 2022, our corporate email became completely inaccessible. Clearly, a technical change occurred that was not communicated and it failed (it appears that they moved servers but didn't change pointers for email authentication - passwords have been reset by us and by Network Solutions 1st level support, we have created new mailboxes, nothing will authenticate properly so users cannot access their email accounts via webmail or desktop client). This issue has been raised with a problem ticket that was supposedly escalated, but every time the response is "we assure you it will be resolved within 24 hours." We are now 4 days without corporate email - some of our client and contract databases use these email accounts for MFA purposes, and since we cannot access our email accounts, we cannot authenticate to use these databases for our business. Network Solutions claims to have 24/7 service, but their technical support on weekends consists of a chat window to first level support, who have no visibility into the trouble ticket status. I feel sorry for the people answering the telephone and chat - they are quite polite and try to be helpful, but the company's support model really sucks. No resolution for something they broke, and no communication on how or when it will be resolved. We are currently investigating how to cut our losses and move our web and email hosting services to another provider so that we can at least have corporate communications up and running again (and will just take the hit on the thousands of email that are stuck on Network Solutions email servers...). If you are a small company looking for help with hosting services, this is not the right company.
Desired outcome: Immediate access to our email accounts.
Database recovery and retrieval
We are transferring our website from Network Solutions to another website hosting company because of constant site downtime, 404 errors, spam emails and very poor technical support. Network Solutions promised to recover and send us our WordPress database files but has never done so. The support ticket is still "open" but no one ever responds to inquiries.
Technical support is virtually unreachable by phone. One waits on hold for hours. It is as if Network Solutions wants their customers to just give up and go away but keep on paying for service we don't get.
Desired outcome: We would like to receive our WordPress database files ASAP.
NS has since closed our support tickets and said our website which has been down since Oct. 6 can now be accessed again. It can't. We paid Network Solutions to "host" our information, NOT steal it! We are transferring our site to another hosting company.
Complaint
Network Solutions is a Web Hosting company, the company no longer does business in the United States for Customer Service, Support, Complaints, etc. They are now working out of the Philippines.
The Customer Support in the Philippines are too aggressive and forceful. When ask for a Manager I can never get through and they continue to insist that they can help me.
My original issue was for charges on my credit card which I did NOT approve. I can only get a resolution after I mention I am switching companies, then in that second do I get my issue resolved and credited. But they still won't let me speak to a Supervisor or Manager. The whole process takes from 15 - 20 minutes.
Desired outcome: To let Network Solutions US know that they are being represented wrongly and very poor taste by the Philippines.
Domain Registration
I re-upped my company's domain registration and associated services with Network Solutions on September 2, 2022 at a total cost of $509.77. I was totally taken aback at the number of domain site names I was being charged for when I reviewed the confirmation order ( a total of 5 domain names: "ORG; INFO; BIZ; CO; US). In addition, the term of agreement was shown at 2 years. The number of domain names and the 2 year terms were totally unexpected and not intended. Subsequently and 3 days later the business was terminated. My contact with Network Solutions revealed that there was a termination "limit" of contracts at 3 days.As such, my refund request was denied. I appealed this decision based primarily on the fact that I was not informed of this termination "clause" nor is the termination clause reflected in any of its written material. I was subsequently contacted by a Network Solution representative on a Saturday by phone and informed that in fact a refund/stop payment on my credit card would happen. I have since been notified that I am still being held liable for this $509.77 fee. I believe this charge to be not only severe but unwarranted given the circumstances .
Desired outcome: I am requesting Network Solutions will honor its statement that it will refund this significant fee,
Fraudulent sales

After several thousand users experiences outage due to Network Solutions "system interruption," I called to ask if they could post something letting customer know about their outage. They said they don't have that capacity & then began to upsell me & misrepresented the sales terms. They are not forthcoming in sending chat transcripts. Fortunately, I captured thetranscript - clearly showing NS Bait & Switch, their own reps agreed it was "manipulative & misrepresented to make a sale", then they closed the case with no reparation! Simple theft. Support emails are all "No Reply" as they hit your credit card and then run! Buyers beware! Their 48-hour callback is also a disappearing act. Never happens. I emailed an abuse report, power their phone rep, then received email saying to call. I called back & was told to email, and so forth. Ultimately, this appears to be their business style. Am following up with my log that shows they promised certain things and charged me differently than promised. Very disappointing.

This company is VERY deceitful, I purchased some domain name from sedo which I had to purchase through network solutions, I thought it would be an easy transfer back to sedo, how wrong I was, I know i am new to domain flipping but honestly they made it almost impossible to transfer my domain names back to sedo.
when I finally did I began to get payment charges from them for all the 12 names that I'd purchased. It turns out that they were charging me MONTHLY for auto renewal not annually which it told me when I purchased them. Also under my listings it clearly states on all of them that the auto renewal is due in a years time.
Please be very aware of this company and make sure you know everything about all their deceitful ways especially if you are a beginner.
DNS nameservers
We needed to change our nameservers for our macay.net domain. Unable to put it in on the website, gave us an error and that we needed to call support. After 2 weeks of multiple calls, supposed elevation of servers, several support tickets and internal case numbers. Nothing was resolved, no returned calls (four times promised that a supervisor or manager would call).
