deceptive and fraudulent business practices
Our company has used the services of Network Solutions when it was owned by VeriSign since 2001. Every now and again we are contacted by their sales department trying to sell us one of their new products they what us to try. I am not here to slam the company since I am only one of six million or more subscribers, but to tell you the truth of their deceptive business practices.
A few months ago we were contacted by a salesman for their Gorilla Marketing Product. What you should know that before you start a conversation with anyone in this organization they have to verify your account. Once this is done you have given them access to your financial information or credit card on file. Now it so happens that we were coming up for our domain and hosting renewal. Whenever you renew the hosting the domain is always thrown in at no charge. Most subscribers know this and also know this would be foolish to set the auto-renew feature because you will be charged full price for both services. With the end of the month close at hand the salesperson became very anxious to close the sale, promising that if we signed up for the “Guerilla Marketing” service at eighty dollars per month the fee for the domain and hosting would be waived renewed and your card billed every month.
This is a method company’s use to develop revenue stream. So what this slick salesman does is set the auto-renew feature in anticipation of closing the deal. Before we can make a decision we are charged the full amount for the hosting and domain renewal which comes to nearly two hundred dollars. We contact customer service and are told that it will take up to ten days for the funds to be returned.
This is a form of embezzling. To avoid becoming a victim of this scam it is important that if you have a card on file to check the auto-renew feature often to avoid this from happening to you, or better yet do not leave your card on file with anyone. Before making this posting I have discovered that this is a common scam with this company. If there is an attorney that is interested in seeking a legal remedy this is the number for their corporate offices. [protected]
In August 2011, it was announced that Network Solutions will be bought by Web.com for $405 million and 18 million shares. On October 27th, 2011, Web.com announced the completion of the Network Solutions acquisition. This was immediately followed by the departure of CEO Tim Kelly and other key leadership. Large scale employee layoffs began the following day. By December 31st, 2011, over half of the office space in the Herndon, VA based headquarters had been vacated and returned to the property management. On March 31st, 2012, the company's Belleville, Illinois office was closed
The Web.com Group was formed as a result of the merger of Web.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: WWWW) and Website Pros, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSPI).
The company was initially funded with $65 million from Norwest Venture Partners, Crosspoint Ventures, Chase, Verizon (Bell Atlantic), Office Depot, and Dell; and subsequently by Insight Venture Partners just prior to its IPO. It took only six years from start-up to achieve its goal of dominating the market, and went public in 2005
billing - auto-renew
Received billing for an auto-renewal for a domain I had intentionally let lapse. I know that I did not have the Auto-Renew checked because I have had highjacked CC #s, so I had recently checked accounts for billing. They said they would remove and issue credit BUT - this is certainly happening to a lot of people. Wonder if the Attorneys General are aware of this business practice?
JLeeP - make them move you up the food chain. Rather than the BBB, threaten that you will contact & Report them to the Attorney General in your state. The BBB is membership (fee based), so I don't think the have any 'teeth'. I contacted Amex and disputed the charge - & my refund came through in a day. Good luck!
Thanks, I filed a complaint with the AG Internet crimes division yesterday. It was a debit card so the bank won't refund the charges unless I go through 5-8 months of paperwork and hearings. Big pain but may end up doing it. (Sorry for any mistypes, on my phone)
I'm going through the exact same thing right now. I removed the auto-renew and the card # on the account. They said they would process a refund in two-three days, now 5 days without the refund being in there they have said it'll take 7-10 business days for the bank to process. Called the bank and they said they haven't received anything from them and when they do it'll be an overnight refund. My account has also gone from transferrable to transfer-prohibited. They also threatened to delete my account from their systems. I still have two months left in my service with them. How do you do auto-renew (even if illegal) two months before service is completely done? A week I can see. I have a bad feeling there will be no refund. Tried to file complaint with BBB but the BBB can't even find them.

JD nets traded my account early 2014. It had an initial deposit of $5472 which they wiped out. We were in a revenue share of 70:30. it was agreed that if the account was wiped out they would refund 30% of intial deposit. When the account was wiped out they requested i deposit $2000 which i did to try bring back the account but it was wiped out too. they agreed we do a joint account where they would get back my money but they have gone missing ever since. all attempts to catch them on email chat or facebook go unsuccessful. they are cheats who action should be taken against them. Everytime i ask they were moving office since then they cannot be contacted.
tiuganda how you got refund please tell me
The above matter with JDNet profits has been resolved amicably in a civil manner. JDNetprofits has accepted to refund the money and has entered an Agreement to that effect.
I signed an Agreement with JDNet profits to manage my forex
account. JDNet profits is a company purportedly located in Singapore, 909, 910-Temasek Avenue, Near
Millenia Tower 039190, DLF PH. In some web pages, they state their address as
A, 300 Nehru Enclave, opposite Nehru place, New Delhi DLL 110019, India.
JDNetprofits agreed to manage my forex account and get a
percentage of the profits. JDNetprofits also agreed that in case the account
was wiped out, they would pay back 75% of the initial capital. The account had
an initial capital of 12, 500$ which JDNetprofits blew in about two weeks due to
poor trading systems coupled with poor risk and money management. JDNetprofits
wrote to me agreeing to refund back 9, 375$. After afew days JDNet profits again
wrote to me asking for more time upto the end of June 2014 to start paying back
the money.
Now JDNetprofits has gone silent, they are not answering my
emails or skype messages. I am inclined to believe that I was cheated by this
company just because they know they are far away and cannot be got. If I am
refunded, then I shall come to this same forum and make a rejoinder to this
complaint clearing the name of JDNetprofits, otherwise as it stands now, I warn
the unsuspecting public of this company posing as an experienced forex manager
with a good track record, yet in reality its there to claim for profits if it
makes any, BUT if it makes a loss for a client overseas, it cuts communication.
I have also written to the police departments in Singapore and New Delhi to
investigate further on my issue, since they might just fall into a racket of
international crime.
Dear Mr Badoni,
You didn't posted your statements here which shows that your account was running in losses from 12000 USD. We know very well which female you are talking about, we never issued any cheque to her as the cheque which she is showing never belongs to our company account and You are most welcome for the case in the court but we are sorry to say that we will not pay anything in the court also as we will spend money on lawyers not on you . Second and the last thing we are posting here that you signed the agreement for equal profit sharing with us and asked us to generate 100 USD profit everyday on the equity of 2700 USD which clearly shows that we have to take risk in the account and that risk can be at large also, we do have the recording of Skype chat if in case you forgot your words. Secondly we do issued a soft copy cheque to you but later we made the stop payment as withdraw ed the profit of 1800 USD from the account. Wish you best of luck for the case and regarding the in laws, it will be great if they can pay you. My In laws are not the partner of JDNetProfits. We have a strong chain of clients our 5 years old clients which can not be destroyed by any case or any ### complaints like this.

dear mr ankit,
now i have to use bad words again against u, because u only not, cheated me but i have a list of number of persons from abroad and india, and u cheated me by giving soft copy cheques but there r number of male and female i have whom u gave real cheques, and u donot worry i have find out the house of your in laws in delhi., and very soon we r filing a case against u in singapore and for that lawyer has been hired. than u tell the judge who has not honoured the agreement and all your ### i will hear from u.
u r the biggest cheater on the earth, who has run away with lot of money, and now not even giving back 75% money.
see u cheater.
Mr Badoni,
We want to remind you that Its clearly mentioned on our website and the agreement with RED BOLD LETTERS from past 3 years that, we are not responsible for any losses which occurred in the equal profit sharing investing options as Client agrees that you can take end number of risk while trading my account to create hefty profits. The Bank instrument surety is only valid for Daily 1.25% profit sharing. 2nd Did you ever withdraw ed any profit from your account, Can you post your statements also here ? Third despite of given time to you that we will try to fund your account for trading with our own money, you didn't waited instead of waiting you started giving us threats and used bad words also which includes comments for our owner's wife also. Thus finally we cancelled all business relations with you because you don't know how to make a healthy business relation. Only threats and bad words will never work. In the last the reason for shifting our offices from India was that Indian government and RBI are not allowing Indians to trade in foreign currency exchange through internet or online. They are allowed to trade only INR V/s other pairs and that too with SEBI registered brokers from India only.

unauthorized charging of credit card
Network Solutions used to give the website owner an option to renew their hosting package manually or renew automatically. They have changed their policy and now charge my account automatically (without my authorization), this being the first year. I have tried to stop this practice by following their instructions and calling their toll free number and notifying them personally. But, instead of talking to a person, all I ever get is a recording saying that they are experiencing a higher than normal call volume and to hold. Of course, no one ever answers. This is obviously a devious business practice which allows them to charge your credit card however much they want and make it very difficult for you to stop doing business with them. In my case, it's costing me an additional $40.00 to to renew automatically as opposed to renewing manually! If you are like me and prefer to control your costs, Network Solutions is not the company to work with. I strongly recommend reading the other complaints against this company before deciding to do business. Since they have already charged my card, I am stuck with them another year. But, I won't be next year! It's clear that their management approves of devious business practices and they are not the sort of people I want to deal with.

unauthorized charge
Network Soluions has turned into a nightmare! They charged my Paypal account (which subsequently charged my bankcard) for a year ($45!) of domain registration that was not due nor authorized. No reminder email was sent to me advising me of such activity and now they keep giving me the runaround about refunding my money. I've filed a complaint with PayPal and will now be filing with my bank since they have not kept their word. What a racket! I have moved all my domains now to GoDaddy and will NEVER do business with Network Solutions again!

Network solutions switched all of my domain names and private registrations to auto-renew, without my consent. Researching the matter, I see that apparently, this is their new business practice. I had to spend 25 minutes on the phone getting auto-renew switched back to "off, " because they don't let customers do this from the NS account management console. I can't imagine that switching accounts to auto-renew without customers affirmative consent is legal, and I hope this is soon made abundantly clear to NS in a court of law. Disgusted.
Network Solutions have twice pulled this Auto-renew deal on me in the last month, during the first time round version I asked for Auto-Renew to be switched off on all my domains and was assured it would be. One month later I am again chasing a refund.
Inertia selling like this is good for their cash flow but ultimately not good for their business. If they want to offer Auto-Renew at least let their customers select for which website / domain name services.

Read full review of Network Solutions and 1 commentbilling
Network Solutions billed a 10 year old expired credit card for invoice that was not due for 30 days. The credit card was not in the name of the domain owner. Our accounting department called and had the charges reversed. Network Solutions billed a $10 processing fee for their error. We complained and they credited our account $10. They then shut down our site because they said we owed them $10. Pretty screwed up! Our site and email has been a mess for 12 hrs and it is having a drastic effect on our business.

I am going through the same scenario with Network Solutions. They violated my client rights by withdrawing funds without my authorization. This is the first and last time they will play me for a money-floating guinea pig.
incompetence. privacy and security violations
We have registered multiple domains with NS, paying handsomely for each and every service. I use the word service advisedly. Always, complaints were slow to find resolution, though we always got the promised auto-response back in 24 hours. The final straw was that they simultaneously shut down one of our company's e-mail and "notified" us, via e-mail. So, we were forced to search our own systems for problems and found none. We notified NS in the prescribed way from a different address, were referred to another department (+ 2 days without company mail), then received and auto-message saying we had been notified of the problem (to the old, non-working e-mail address: +2 more days) and were finally referred to an individual who forwarded the "notification". Said notification was merely another auto-message informing us that an e-mail had been compromised and was spamming, therefore they had no choice but to shut us down (as opposed to contacting us while the mail still worked). At + 1 week with no mail we changed all the passwords, as required, and attempted to stay in contact with NS. + 2more days we received a note saying that the passwords still weren't strong enough. We changed, again (+2 more days). "I'll check with the Techs right away" was the response we got, and we waited another +5 days. Nothing. NS never attempted to help resolve the problem. They did not notify us until after they shut down the e-mail. They have not responded to our attempts to mutually resolve it. AND, they admitted in an e-mail that their "Techs" have access to our passwords and mailboxes, and yours. We suggested in a final e-mail to the company that it may have been their internal security that failed. And, alas, we have contacted an attorney to attempt to recoup the dozens or hundreds of thousands of dollars we lost because we were out of contact for more than two weeks. So, NS at your peril. PS - I'm posting this everywhere and will be paying for an add in three magazines.

We are currently having the same issue. One of our machines was infected with a virus which compromised an email account. Actually found the bad system and resolved the issue. Started to change passwords as a secondary precaution. Before completing all email accounts, we were shut down completely. Spend two days (multiple hours each time) waiting on hold to finally get someone who asked if we received the email about spam complaints. Seriously, you shut our email down... How would I get them I asked. He said "oh, sorry". Not acceptable. I stated you have not only the account owners contact info but a technical contact which anyone can find in via Whois. If the issue were big enough for you to shut us down, could you not call or attempt to call those contacts to advise. Rather you wait till we spend hours to find out you just cut us off. Even logging into our account on NS there was no popup or warning stating your account was compromised and you need to contact us before it is reactivated or something to that affect. After being a paying customer for many years, it's obvious this was not malicious on our part. You need a much better way to advise customers. We are still down after having done what they asked. We will also be leveraging legal council to recoup our losses as a business...
I got a call today from a girl trying to sell me SEO services, followed by ecommerce platform. When I asked for a few representative clients, she said they did not have a list anymore because the clients were getting too many calls as a result of being listed with them (hardly a complaint an internet retailer would have - "more visitors...oh no!"). I have spoken to countless e-commerce platform providers and not one has refused to tell me who else uses them. Another hint is that they have no case studies on their website.
Do not waste your time.

website builder tool
I have been told by Network Solutions tech support that with the nsHosting package I have, the FREE 'website builder tool' can only be used for 1 of my websites. So now I am, forced to buy TWO nsHosting packages. I would like to understand why Network Solutions charges for a hosting package which allows up to 3 websites to be hosted on it, yet only allows you to use the website builder tool ONE time? Let me just say I have many products with netSol and while it is MORE expensive than the other hosts out there I have remained a loyal customer. However, this illogical rule for the website builder tool has made me seriously reconsider moving everything to another host. Mind you, I even asked if I could PAY to use the website builder tool, and was told by the rep that I could NOT. From the technical aspect, is thee any reason not to allow the website builder tool to be used for more than one site? This makes no sense what so ever and has frustrated me beyond belief.

scammers
Network Solutions is by far the worst hosting company out there. Not because of their tools, but because of their tactics. Here are a few tactics I noticed from being with them for 2 weeks.
1. Do not run into a billing issue with them, customers can not talk directly to Billing, instead you have to call customer Service in (india), Customer service then submits a ticket. I have a billing issue that's been running for 4 days and my site is shutdown until "billing" gets to it.
Why they do this? They drag on the time to fix your problem so you loose hope and buy another hosting package so your site can be up.
2. I purchased the Wordpress package originally, then purchased a webhosting package to host my wordpress site, well guess what they told me I couldn't do that because I purchased my packages separately! Customer service told me they I purchased the two packages separately so I can't combine them, instead I should have hit the upgrade button on my wordpress admin panel and purchase the hosting that way...
They do this so you can buy more. more.
Just go somewhere else. it's not worth it.
gauging customers
We have a domain registered at Network Solutions. Our primary contact left the company and was no longer receiving emails. They didn't bother to send notices to anyone else on the account. So the domain expired. We went to renew it, and they charged us $37.99 to renew the domain, which is already above the going rate and even above their own rate of $35. On top of that, they added a $25 reinstatement fee. No other domain registrar that I have heard of has ever done that when its so common for domains to expire before being renewed. BUT THERE'S MORE! We renewed the domain after it had expired for 2 days and went ahead and paid the bill. We received a confirmation that we had paid. But for some reason, they never ran the card and cancelled the renewal. When we called for support, they said it had been renewed and not to worry about it. After another week, we called and got them to admit that it hadn't been renewed. They said they would "escalate" the problem and someone would get back to us in 24 hours! I finally had yell at several people to get them to deal with it. This is all very ridiculous and expensive and a massive waste of everyon'es time. DON'T USE NETWORK SOLUTIONS FOR ANY REASON!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Network solutions is awful. They charged my credit card $78.00 for two domain names that were not even due to expire for three months. I paid 4.99 and 9.99 for each initially. Today I called for the third time to demand a refund and again I am told it would be 3-5 days. It's been two weeks. There are plenty of places to buy domain names, I suggest you think long and hard before signing up with Network Solutions. They are greedy and the customer service sucks because, as most big rip of companies, they are located in India.
support responsiveness (or lack of)
I have been with this company for 15 years. The deterioration in service towards the client and the blatant attempt to hold hostage and blackmail for further fees to reapir problems of their making is eye watering. I was miss sold a service that has disrupted my access to website properties for weeks on two sites i have with them. Call centers are in the Philippines where thy say they are not well enough trained to help and then try to sell you "my time" which is their paid assistance service. It is not tech support for THEIR problems, but you are told to resolve the issue promptly cough up the cash. NS has become a sham, clearly they are under financial pressure and have decided to fleece customers instead of picking up their game. I am currently in the painful process of moving all of my accounts. AVOID AT ALL COST.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have been waiting for these people to fix my website for 2 weeks now. its not showing online, and they don't even have the decency to email and tell me what the problem is. I keep calling and keep getting the same thing "were working on it" no support on weekends? WTF this is crazy
I too have been with NS for quite some time. I cringe whenever I have to call for support that never seems to happen. Wholly incompetent. My latest shameful experience: my support ticket #1-[protected] was for my MSSQL DB off-line, simple just right click from SM and place on-line. This would take about 30 seconds to do. I opened ticket Friday, Aug 8, 2014 its not Monday, Aug 11, 2014 and still not done I called several times only to be told "someone is working on it" either they have a ###ed gnome or they simply don't care to provide support to it patrons. As soon as my issue gets resolved I am making a local copy of DB and site. Then I am transferring my domain. I feel like a fool if I have to give NetworkSolutions another dime of my money.. my advise DO NOT HOST OR DO BUSINESS WITH NETWORKSOLUTIONS IF YOU THINK YOU WILL NEED SUPPORT OF ANY KIND. YOU WILL NOT, I REPEAT WILL NOT GET THE SUPPORT YOU DESERVE
network solutions holds dns hostage
Network Solutions pulled every ugly delay tactic in the book to delay our dns transfer until it finally got to within 60 days so we had to wait.
Then 2 months later, after paying what amounted to extortion to NS to renew with them against our will, they AGAIN changed the expiry date and are now refusing to send access codes to transfer dns.
There are no funds or payments pending and there is no legal reason for them to continue to hold our dns hostage, yet they continue to do so.
This place makes Enron look like a legitimate corporation!
I have never had contact with a company called Network Solutions LLC, yet there is a $101.94 charge on my PayPal account as of 2/10/13. From the other complaints on this website, it looks like I am not the only person to have been electronically defrauded by this company.
soliciting worldwide boycott of network solutions
Network Solutions ia an unholy den of spammers. NS client aweber.com claims to be sending ads to 40, 000, 000+ email boxes each month with no worry about receiving a spam complaint. The statement is presumably based upon malafide aweber-NS relationship. NS has no abuse report information on homepage and refuses to accept spam complaints against its domains hosted elsewhere. I solicit a worldwide bycott of Network Solutions.
domain renewal
I started with Network Solutions almost ten years ago. I have a very simple site so the service was not an issue but when I had questions the support was not very helpful. This year I switched my hosting to hostgator, better serve and saved a lot of money. I transferred my domain name to hostgator so I thought renewal would be through them, so I ignored email from Network Solutions. Now my domain name has expired and I have to renew through Network Solutions. So they charged a $25 reinstatement charge, yeah it's a lot of work for them to reinstate and collect my money. The worst part is they charge $38 for One Year! They are way overpriced. Now that I've renewed I will be certain that my domain is with hostgator and I will be able to renew with them for less than half of what Network Solutions charged. Stay away from Network Solutions unless you wanted to be frustrated, poorly serviced and overcharged.
I agree 100%. Considering that their system is completely automatic, and yes, paying on time is important, for them to get $25 EXTRA to do nothing? Typical stupid decision made by a company that thinks its customers will sit by and just pay it.
steals your domains
We had a couple of domain names registered with Network Solutions that was up for renewal. While we were in the renewal process we were suddenly informed by Network Solutions that the domain names had been reserved by someone else on the date it expired. This date was after we had requested a renewal. Network Solutions tells us that the only thing we can do is to contact the company that reserved the domains, New Media Investments inc, and try to get it from them. They were kind enough to provide us with the contact details. If it was not bad enough that Network Solutions let the domains go to someone else after we had requested renewal, here it the real twist to this sad story. Guess who owns New Media Investments inc - none else than Network Solutions! This should not be legal!
terrible company
This company is the worst company i have ever dealt with. When they transitioned from Monster Commerce to Network Solutions it all changed. They changed platforms for the site hosting and it was a total nightmare. I had to endure this twice and paid for it twice only to find out they do not have the same or better functionality they had when it was v4 and Monster Commerce. They do not have partial search functionality with the new v7 version and they have told me for 2 years now that they were going to offer it. They have strung me along only to speak with Jeff Visgaitis on 4/14/2017 and be told they may never have that functionality. So they have changed to a new platform without the ability to search for an item with partial part #'s, which is key to most businesses. This is just the tip of iceburg of the problems i have had with them. I have had email service down for a week at a time. Site certificate with no csr generated even tho i had renewed it. But the most frustrating is the site latency problems. My site does not load properly most of the time. I have been trying to get this issue addressed and fixed ever since they changed me back to V4. It takes sometimes up to a minute to load. I have had many outside sources report about this issue. I have had to pay for and implement a monitoring service. Sometimes my site won't even ping. I have reported this over and over only to be told that it was not happening on their end. In other words, screw you we are not fixing the server or site issues and you may be better off with another hosting company. I asked for this to be put in writing and Jeff said he would not do that. I asked why was he afraid to put it in writing and no answer. I have nothing else to do but seek legal council. Jeff indicated i could do so as if they weren't afraid to take on a small company. I guess when you get so big you can treat anyone you want the way you want. If anyone else wants to join me with a campaign and legal council against this company please contact me. [protected].
Network solutions sent me an email that I ordered my small web hosting package to be renewed and charged my credit card $139. They changed my account to auto renew and tripled the cost of a small web hosting package, for a domain that Ive had with them since 1998. There small web hosting package is $5.99 month x 12 months.
They also refused to unlock another domain that I renewed but never hosted, last year when I wanted to switch to another web hosting company.
I do not want Network Solutions to host my domain any longer. The company appears to be getting more desperate with hard sell scams and altering my web management information.
They give me false phone numbers that disconnect or do not connect to any of 3 options, none of their help tickets have anything but more sales piches for more services. This company cannot be trusted and has had many security breaches releasing malware into over 10 million users.
After ordering web forwarding for my Web domains I discovered that competitors offer it for free. Called to cancel but 'their policy is not to refund' this particular service. For the high prices I pay for their services this is unacceptable.
Saturday, August 30, 2017, I noticed an email come in at 5:46a. Not any of the ones I was expecting, however. As it turned out, it was the last email I was to see until almost 8pm that night. I was expecting a few important emails, so I spent an hour or more twice that day calling Network Solutions tech support. They had so many calls that they changed their greeting to reflect that "[their] engineers were working on the problem". Numerous calls later, I was told my request had been kicked up a level. Then I got an email from them (in answer to one of the ones I sent them). Ready? And I quote: "Please be advised that the emails need to be resend. [sic]. Let's not even talk about the level of intelligence of the tech support personnel (two of my weekend calls went to India - very nice guys but totally unable to ascertain what I was even talking about. The English as a first language people were much easier to deal with even though they provided similar support - that is to say nada. NSI, this is the second time in as many years that you have lost email for me (I know, once is you; the second time I'm the dumb one for still being around). Can it be that a company your size doesn't have redundancy built into the system? Where is the ### or ###s in the company? My missing email needs to be "resend"? OK, by all means, I'll contact the people who sent me emails I did not receive and ask them to send them again. I WISH THERE WAS A COMPETITOR; I swear I've had enough of NSI.
I subscribed to Watch Dog Services for a year from Network Solutions. I chose not to renew. about four weeks prior to the expiration date I started to received DAILY reminder notices of the expiration. After expiration I received daily "please renew" messages for about 3 weeks. I then received a FINAL renewal email. AFter the final notice I received more "please renew" emails... not sure how long this is going to continue.
I complained about this and NS says that they can't do anything about this because that's how the reminder script is programmed.
I am viewing these reminders a spam. I will be moving my domain elsewhere soon.
No answer to a ticket opened for more than 30h ago for a domain transfer issue. They simply seem to ignore customers!

Network solution sucks. I hosted my website with Network solution and after few weeks I have move my site to another host.
But if you are a email spammer than Network Solution is the right place for you, as if you browse their website you will not find any link or email address to complain about email spams from domains hosted and registered with them.
In a NUT SHELL, network solution is GOOD FOR SPAMMERS and BAD FOR SERIOUS BUSINESS OWNERS.
I have been a Newtork Solutions customer for over 4 years. I rarely need to actually log into my email through their web portal, but on occasion I do. One such occasion would be to empty some large files out of my email account in order to free up space. It seems that over the last few months, when I try to delete one or a few emails at a time, sorted by size, the Netsol system does not work. It gets 'stuck'. However, when I get frustrated enough and just delete the enitre contents of the account, that seems to work just fine. So I am A) suspect of their true abilities in that maybe they are fostering an enviormentemt where it is easier to delete the whole box, instead of emails one at a time, thus freeing up space much quicker on their own severs. I am also B) Exteremely frustrated by the unbelieveable lag time in opening emails. In short, I will be leaving Netsol soon. And good riddence to them. I am so crazed by their taking advantage of me, I can't wait to stop paying that bill! Their system is extremely flawed or purposley designed to aggrevate business users into dumping large files more quickly than we would like. The end result being a need for less space on their servers. Either way, I've had it!
when i wanted to transfer to another server, 9 days ago, they gave me a transfer code that DOESN'T WORK.
These guys were the subject of a massive Federal Tradew Commission suit in 2017. Seems they haven't learned their lesson yet. AVOID them.
Hi Cammoza,
I get support from Host Department for past 1 year. I get a good response from them.
Hope this helps you to get a better solution.
incompetent technical support
I am really upset with Network Solutions' technical support. Yes they are available 24/7 but the technical staff is incompetent. Once it's been determined they can't resolve your issue, they "escalate your case" to their real technical support engineers which can take 24 to 48 hours to get an email from them. (No direct communication with the engineers.) I had to call several times to get my issue resolve after the 48 hours had passed.
The fact that a company is okay with getting to your issue 24-48 hours after your website is down is not right. The internet is an immediate tool and a company should have the right people to resolve the issue immediately.
I feel stuck with Network Solutions because they make it hard to take your business somewhere else. I heard it can take 4 months. I don't have experience with that YET, but I do have experience with their technical support. A lot of it!
My advice is to start with another company.
I am taking my business somewhere else. I am now looking for another hosting company after over a decade of being with Network Solutions.
support
I have a website hosted through Network Solutions. They advertise that they have 24 x 7 support. Today I tried to get into my store to update product information, only to reach a message that said I do not have access to my own products. This is new since mid-week. I contacted support only to be told that the name of the primary contact on my storefront is now a person who is an employee of Network Solutions, and I need to have this person change my access level - to my own storefront! And, to make matters worse, this person will not be available until Monday! So, for an entire weekend I am locked out of product updates! This is completely unacceptable.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
screwed up
We did three service orders for Mr. Dennis Oleary back in July 2009 in Florida. The total owed to us is $737.15. All three of the services were for Army Recruiting Stations. After jobs were completed he started delaying payment saying that the Army had not payed him and eventually stopped taking phone calls and the last email he responded, he stated that Fantastic Networks was going to close. All the phone numbers I had for him do not work and a 1.5 years later we have not received payment...PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD SO NOBODY ELSE GETS SCREWED LIKE US..
