Beware: My Experience with New Garden Plants' Website and Their Guarantee
I bought 32 plants for $277 from New Garden Plants' website. When I got them, some of them were already dead and almost beyond saving! I emailed Pete as soon as I realized what had happened, but I haven't heard back. I even sent pictures of the plants that didn't make it and the ones that might still be okay, but my emails have gone unanswered, and it's been three whole weeks!
It seems like these plants weren't fully grown yet because their roots weren't developed enough to handle being shipped in the mail. That's a big downside to buying plants online because they need to be really healthy to survive. According to their website, they do have a 100% money-back guarantee, but they only have an email address to contact them, which is a real bummer because they haven't been very responsive. It feels like they don't want to honor what they promise to customers in terms of their guarantee.
I'm not really sure what to do now because the situation seems pretty bleak. Maybe they'll eventually get back to me, but it's not looking hopeful. I've been trying to take care of the plants that are still alive, but it's been a struggle because they're not doing very well. Overall, I wouldn't recommend New Garden Plants to anyone because of the negative experience I've had. It's too bad because the idea of ordering plants online is convenient, but it doesn't seem worth it if they all arrive dead or dying!
Mixed experience with New Garden Plants: healthy plants but poor customer service and refund policy
I've been buying from New Garden Plants for the past few months and it's been alright so far. The plants that I receive are healthy and are usually a good size. They don't take too long to get to me either, which is nice.
But, I have to say that their customer service could use some improvement. In my first order, I got a bunch of plants and most of them looked fine, but two of them didn't make it. I tried to contact them about it, but I didn't get a response. I thought maybe it was a one-time thing and went on to make a few more orders.
The plants in my second and third orders were also pretty healthy, but my most recent order had more issues. One of the plants was already dead and the other didn't look too good. I tried to reach out to New Garden Plants twice, but I still haven't heard back from them.
I did a little bit of research and found out that in order to get a refund or a new plant, you have to mail the dead plant back to them at your own expense. The thing is, the cost of shipping is more than the cost of the plant, so it doesn't really make sense to do that.
Overall, I'm not too happy with the customer service from New Garden Plants. I probably won't be buying from them again because of this.
New Garden Plants Review: Best Selection and Prices for Thriving, Beautiful Plants
My experience with New Garden Plants has been super great, like really really good. I stumbled upon them when I was looking for some sweet plants last year and I gotta say, they had the best prices anywhere, totally reasonable. Plus, their selection of plants is off the charts - every color you can imagine, including some black pansies that I couldn't even find in any of the stores around here!
When my box of plants arrived, I was like, "Wowza!" They were healthy, like really really healthy, and they came on time too. I planted them all up and they're all thriving, all the way to now. They are so beautiful, I can't even believe it. So much so, that I went back and ordered more this year and I can't wait for them to get here!
The website is also very helpful. They give great tips about how to take care of your plants so they grow up big and strong. They also tell you how big they get and when they bloom, so you can plan your garden better. Honestly, I wish I could keep this awesome nursery all to myself but they really deserve to be recognized for their awesomeness! I highly recommend New Garden Plants to anyone who is looking for awesome plants, seriously.
Right now, we are just coming out of winter and my plants don't have flowers yet so I don't have any current pictures. But, trust me, they are amazing!
Mixed Experiences with New Garden Plants: Great Plants Last Year but Poor Customer Service and Sickly Plants This Year
I gotta say, I've had some mixed experiences with New Garden Plants. Last year, I had a great time with them. I ordered some plants and they came in fine. They were healthy and vibrant, just like I wanted. But this year was a different story. I ordered in February, expecting to get my plants delivered in April. When they arrived, a few of them had black leaves. I figured they got frozen or something while being shipped, but still. Not cool.
So I contacted them a bunch of times through email, since that's the only way they let you talk to them. Eventually, they replied and said the plants might survive. But I didn't want to deal with sickly plants. I wanted my stuff to be healthy from the get-go. Anyway, the plants died and I tried contacting them a bunch more times. After a while, they finally said they'd replace two of them. They promised 100% satisfaction, but I'm not sure about that anymore. It's already June and I haven't heard back about the plants they were supposed to replace.
Honestly, their customer service could use some work. Last year, I had to deal with some billing issues when I changed the date on my order. They took out the money twice, and it was a whole thing to fix. So you might want to be careful if you want to go with New Garden Plants. I had a good experience before, but this time I'm not so sure.
Terrible Experience with New Garden Plants: Dead and So-So Plants, Lousy Customer Service
!
New Garden Plants, man, they didn't do me right. I've been ordering plants online for years, and let me tell you, these guys were the worst. I ain't no greenhorn, you know? I got a green thumb, and I know my way around a garden. But these plants? Half of them were dead on arrival. The other half were just so-so. Not great. Not good. Just meh.
So what did I do? I should have asked for a full refund, right? But I figured maybe I could work some magic, mend those plants back to health. So I asked for a half refund instead. I gave them a fair shake, you know? And what do they do? They respond a week later, talking about "They'll come back in the spring." What kind of answer is that, man? I paid for healthy plants, not no zombie plants that gotta come back to life in the springtime.
So I responded, right? I told them I wanted that half refund, but nothing happened after that. Crickets. And let me tell you, I've bought from a ton of other plant vendors this summer, trying to fill up my yard, and I've never had such a bad experience. There's just no excuse for their lousy customer service.
I'm going to challenge the charge on my credit card, and you should stay away from these clowns. Don't be like me, don't waste your time and money. Find another plant vendor that actually cares about their customers.
Poor Customer Service and Unsatisfactory Product Quality from New Garden Plants
I had a pretty bad experience with New Garden Plants (newgardenplants.com). I ordered some plants from them, but then found out that I needed surgery for my cancer. So, I immediately sent them an email to cancel my order and get a refund. I emailed Pete three times and even had my sister leave phone messages, but we never heard back from them.
Then, I was surprised to get an email saying that my order had already shipped. My sister checked my emails and told me, so I decided to keep the plants. However, when they arrived, they were in pretty bad condition. My sister tried her best to save them, but unfortunately they didn't survive.
I decided to send an email on 8/18/2020 to let New Garden Plants know what happened and to ask for a replacement or a refund. But, it's been three days and I still haven't heard back from them. It's pretty disappointing, especially since their website claims that they are dedicated to customer satisfaction.
I hope that they will eventually respond and make things right. It's not fair for me to spend my money on plants that didn't even survive. Maybe if their customer service was more responsive, this situation could have been avoided. I'll update this review if I hear back from them, but as of now, I would not recommend ordering from New Garden Plants.
New Garden Plants.com Review: Terrible Customer Service & Bogus Guarantee
I gotta say, I bought myself some sweet new plants from New Garden Plants.com, spent a total of $233.46 on twenty of them.
Got 'em all in a jiffy, looking pretty good if you ask me. Except for that one, The Incredible Blush Smooth Hydrangea. Sheesh, that plant didn't make it. Tried to be a good customer and followed all the website instructions, but then I had to reach out to this guy named Pete via email, 'cause that plant just wouldn't perk up. Even sent Pete some photos of the poor thing, but you know what? No response. Not a peep from Pete.
Now, I know my hydrangeas. I got six of those buggers in my garden already, so I ain't no newbie. And yet, I get no response from Pete. And get this, their so-called guarantee says "If you do have problems with your plants you may contact me via email and I would be happy to offer advice and suggestions of ways to help correct the problem." Well, that's some bogus guarantee. They don't seem to care about their customers, that's for sure.
No way in heck I'm buying from them again. They just got terrible customer service and they don't even honor their guarantee. Hey Pete, listen up buddy, ignoring your customers ain't gonna cut it. Get it together, man.
Buyer Beware: New Garden Plants Doesn't Label Their Plants!
So I went to this website called New Garden Plants and ordered 28 plants on December 8th, they arrived on the 15th. It was an absolute struggle to find a website that would ship immediately and not wait til Spring. I was so excited to finally find this website. BUT, when the plants arrived, NONE of them had labels. Can you believe it? Twenty-eight plants, and not a single label to tell me which was which. I even called the number on the website, but it was just a recording telling me to send "Pete" an email. Like, seriously? How am I supposed to know what I'm growing if I can't even identify them!
I swear, I'm an experienced plant buyer, and I've never experienced this before. I want to caution you all to stay away from this website. It's downright irresponsible to not label the darn plants. Plus, if we have a problem, we can't even talk to a live person. Shameful! I've bought plants from many dot-com companies, and this is the first time I've had this kind of problem.
After unwrapping the first batch of 11 plants, I was able to identify the rest of them because they DID have labels. The 12th plant was a free gift, and the label was stuck down in the pot where I couldn't see it. It really wasn't enough to make me happy, though. I'm still not sure if I'll be ordering from New Garden Plants again. They really need to step up their game, or they'll keep losing customers like me.
Honestly, I'm just so mad right now that I can't even think straight. I'm trying not to think about all the mistakes they made, but it's hard. They really need to fix this problem before they cause more frustration and stress for their customers.
Mixed Results from Ordering Succulents on newgardenplants.com: A Review
I wanted to try out newgardenplants.com, so I ordered 14 succulents from there during early spring. As a city dweller, I had to make sure that all the plants would be suited for an indoor environment. Thankfully, the owner of the online store was very helpful and even gave me suggestions for which succulents could thrive in my apartment.
My order arrived a little later than expected, but I think it was more of a delivery issue rather than the fault of the store. When I opened the box, I noticed that not all the succulents were "new." Some of them looked like just old stems with very few leaves. I was slightly disappointed, but I didn't think it was a significant problem.
The main issue was that some of the plants were placed on their sides, which led to the soil spilling all over the box. It was quite a mess that I had to clean up. Moreover, some of the plastic pots that came with the plants were supposedly wider in diameter than they actually were. Little things like these can be frustrating, especially for customers who are hoping for a top-notch experience.
As I started planting the succulents, I discovered that one planter seemed to contain nothing until I found a tiny plant under the soil. Another disappointment was the Crassula Red Pagoda. I ordered two of them because the photo on the website made them look lively and vibrant. However, the actual succulents I received looked far from what I had expected and didn't have that pleasant splash of color.
On the other hand, some of the succulents thrived well, while the rest didn't make it. I'm bummed about how things turned out, but I'm not holding a grudge. Although this experience wasn't quite satisfactory, I'm confident that their operation can still wash away the bad taste left in my mouth.
Nonetheless, I've learned from my mistake. I'll probably avoid buying plants online and stick to Home Depot, where I can personally examine the product that I'm buying. It's safer than relying on online photos that can be misleading.
Upon reflection, I would consider purchasing from newgardenplants.com again if they can guarantee the quality of the plants they produce and improve their customer service. I'm looking forward to seeing improvements being made and to a better customer experience in the future.
P.S. Attached are actual photos of the Crassula Red Pagoda as advertised and as delivered.
New Garden Plants: Roller Coaster Experience, but Proven 5-Star Company in the End
I had a roller coaster of an experience with New Garden Plants, but in the end, they proved to be a 5-star company. Let me start with the bad news - when my order of 3 echinacea plants arrived, they were almost dead. The dirt was all spilled out of their containers, and the plants looked like they had been through the wringer. I couldn't find any damage to the box or packaging, so I assume the courier(s) had something to do with it. As someone who runs a YouTube channel (Jscursions) and doesn't have lots of free time, I was very disappointed, but I managed to bring all 3 plants back to life.
Now for the good news - I've been gardening and landscaping for years, and I know that every company has failures before they can succeed. What's important is how they deal with those failures. Pete/New Garden Plants acknowledged my email and made it right. A few days later, I received another box with 3 new coneflowers, and 2 of them looked absolutely fantastic! The third one was smaller, but overall, I'm satisfied with the end result. Thank you, Pete, for making things right. I genuinely appreciate the additional echinacea plants.
Let's give credit where it's due. New Garden Plants may have had a bump in the road, but they deserve a chance. As for me, I'll be shopping with them again! So, if you want to give them a try, go ahead and do it! And as a side note, this site wouldn't upload pictures of my plants, so I'm sorry I can't show you how great they look now!

Disappointing Experience with New Garden Plants: A Review of Supertunia Plants
Got myself 3 supertunia plants from New Garden Plants, but to be frank, it wasn't such a pleasant experience. When the package came, the plants did not look too lively and barely reacted to a splash of agua. I planted them regardless, but they're yet to show signs of budding. Comparing prices, I figured out that they charged me way more than the price I am used to paying for the same Proven Winners elsewhere, and the containers were also teeny-tiny. I don't plan on giving this place another go, and gave Paul a piece of my mind.
Mixed Experience with New Garden Plants - Karl Foerster Grass Clusters Review
I recently bought some plants from New Garden Plants (newgardenplants.com) and I gotta say, it was a bit of a mixed experience. I ordered six of the Karl Foerster 1 quart jumbo size plants and they arrived in a jiffy, which was a relief. But when I opened the packaging, I found that four of the grass clusters were a decent size, while the other two pots had barely any seedlings in them at all. It was like one pot had been split into two and they just added some extra dirt in there to make it seem like there were more plants. I mean, come on now.
I was pretty disappointed, especially because these were on sale. But even with the discount, I still think I was overcharged for what I got. Don't get me wrong, the good-sized grass clusters were really nice and looked great in my garden. But for what I paid, I expected more consistency across all six pots. Overall, I'd say this was an okay experience, but I'm not sure if I'd buy from here again.
Disappointing Experience with New Garden Plants - No Customer Service Received
I jus bough 3 plants frum New Garden Plants and it was less than $30, which was a ok price. Went to get my plants and noticed they wuz sorta wilted. I planted them right away lik the directions said, not sure the directionz were so useful but hey, I follwed 'em. A couple of days passed and all 3 of my plants died. I was really upset so I emailed "pete" but no answer from him after two tries. My plants were only worth a small amount but it's not about just that, it's about the principle. It would have been nice just to get som customer service. I am not goin to buy anything from this nursery no more.

Misleading Plant Purchase: A Review of New Garden Plants' Black Snakeroot
I spent like, a hundred bucks - ya know, not a small chunk of change - on six plants from New Garden Plants. I was super excited to get these specific ones, these black snakeroot - brunette bugbane - but when the package arrived, I found out I got something completely different. Six spikenards. Like, come on, man. They look totally different, they do totally different things, and it's not what I ordered. So, I tried to reach out to the dude, Pete, who runs the website, but he just didn't answer my emails. I wasn't even like, mad or anything, I was tryin' to be nice! But he straight up ignored me, which is so not cool. So now I'm out a hundred bucks and these plants just aren't what I wanted or needed. It's like, a total scam, right?! I'm thinking about going to the business bureau or something in Grand Rapids, because I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this. I mean, it's just not right.
New Garden Plants: Disappointing Quality and Poor Customer Service
I done gone and done ordered my $70 worth of plants from New Garden Plants. And let me tell ya, these plants weren't nothin' like the pictures. Ain't no beautiful blooms or none of that. They looked like little starter plants, some didn't even have more than 3 leaves! So, I done sent Peter some pictures and smacked him with the news that I was mighty disappointed. All he done did was give me $11 in store credit. What kind of biz is this? Seems like a good ol' backyard gardener with not much to offer. If ya ask me, the owner shoulda took one look at them pictures I sent and handed me a bigger refund. Needless to say, I ain't never shopping here again, and neither should ya. Don't waste your money on these plants, folks.
Lack of Communication and Credit Card Error on Newgardenplants.com Purchase
I recently made a purchase on newgardenplants.com and found out on the printed receipt that my credit card was mistakenly listed as Visa instead of Amex. I tried emailing them about this issue, but I got no response from them, which made me a bit frustrated. Frustration turned into real disappointment when 3 days later, I still haven't received any shipping information from them - despite the fact that I reached out to them once again via another email.
It has now been 5 business days since I made my purchase and I still haven't received any communication from newgardenplants.com. This lack of communication made me feel uneasy and I decided to look for reviews online. Luckily, I found this website where some customers have shared positive feedback about the company. Nevertheless, I still don't feel entirely convinced that newgardenplants.com is a trustworthy website.
Although there are a few happy customers out there, I personally cannot overlook the lack of communication from the company. It's a bit worrying that they have not addressed my concerns or provided me with any updates since my purchase. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my order will arrive as expected and that this was just a minor glitch. But until then, I remain uncertain about the reliability of newgardenplants.com.
Unsatisfactory Customer Service at New Garden Plants - A Disappointing Experience
So, about New Garden Plants, I gotta say I'm a bit unhappy with their customer service. I reached out to them when my coneflowers turned out orange instead of cranberry, which I ordered. One dude told me that the colors change as the plant matures, and I gotta admit, he was right. From intense orange/pink mix, they went to Mauve/orange mix. But the guy just ignored my follow-up requests to fix the situation, which is kinda disappointing. I mean, he's supposed to guarantee the plants' health 100%, but not when it comes to wrong plants? Really? And to top it all off, I found out that the plants were tagged as Double scoop cranberry. You'd think they would maintain better inventory organization, but I guess not. All in all, the experience was not great, and I wouldn't recommend them based on my experience.
Disappointed with New Garden Plants - Poor Quality and Customer Service
I was pretty excited to order a bunch of plants from New Garden Plants. I got to the checkout and saw the total was $162, but I was confident it would be worth it. I didn't even care to check online reviews like a responsible plant parent would. Whoops.
Well, let me tell you what happened when I received my order. Only one type of plant, helebores, was any good. All the other plants were teeny-tiny! I was pretty shocked. And then, I found out three of the plants were actually already dead or dying! What a bummer. I let the company know right away, because this kind of thing shouldn't happen. I planted the remaining plants and did my very best to take care of them, but two of the aforementioned dead/dying plants still didn't make it. Imagine my frustration when I didn't hear back from the company. I contacted them a third time, but still no response.
Honestly, these plants weren't cheap. Like, look at the plants in this photo! They were $8.95 EACH! At those prices, you'd expect better quality plants that weren't dying on arrival. I'm really bummed with my experience with New Garden Plants and don't recommend to order from them.
Unprofessional and Dishonest Service from New Garden Plants
So, I was looking for some new plants online and came across newgardenplants.com. I was excited about the cool plants they had on the website, and I decided to make a purchase. Unfortunately, when my package arrived, I encountered some problems. The delivery from FedEx was delayed, and when I opened the package, I found that one of the plants was dead. It was brown and mushy, not the healthy looking plant I was expecting.
However, the other two plants looked pretty good, except for some mold on the broken stems. I immediately reached out to Pete, the person in charge of customer service at newgardenplants.com, and he replied right away that he would send me a replacement. I was relieved to hear this, and I thought that the issue would be resolved soon.
Fast forward to today, which is almost three months later, and I have followed up multiple times with emails, calls, and messages, but I have received no response or update on my replacement. This is unacceptable and shows bad business practice. It is dishonest to advertise a guarantee of replacement for a defective product and then not follow through on that promise. It is even worse to ignore the communication attempts of a customer who is trying to get help.
I am disappointed with the unprofessionalism and lack of honesty displayed by newgardenplants.com. I had high hopes for their products, but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. It is important for companies to provide quality products and excellent customer service, and newgardenplants.com did not deliver on either of those aspects.
Missing Order and Unresponsive Customer Service: My Experience with New Garden Plants
So I was tryna get me some "Silver Gumdrop" Coral Bells from New Garden Plants and ended up with some Pink Panther ones instead. Like, four of them. I was pretty ticked off, ya know what I mean? So I sent a letter to 'em with a copy of my order that said "Silver Gumdrop" clear as day. I even included two pictures of the Pink Panther ones they sent me, so they couldn't say they didn't know what they did wrong. But the dang letter got sent back to me by the Post Office - "Return to Sender, Not Deliverable as addressed." What kind of crap is that? And I tried to email them too, no luck there either.
Now I'm thinkin', how the heck do I get a hold of these people? I wanna either get what I paid for or make 'em give me my money back. So if anyone knows how to contact New Garden Plants, do me a solid and hook me up, alright? Thanks.
