Minor tear but saved my sons legs
My 14 year old son just started completing his Duke of Edinburgh bronze and on his second day 2 day camp took a 20 foot stumble over a cliff edge, suffering a few bumps and bruises but nothing too serious, I attribute that to "Luck" and him wearing his "Adventure" Water Resistant Pants which did suffer a minor tear but saved him having damage to his legs.
Recommendation: "Adventure" Water Resistant Pants
He hit so.e sharp rocks which caused the tear but apart from bruises no cuts or grazes ro his legs.

Mixed Feelings About Northbound Gear Pants: A Review
I recently made a purchase from Northbound Gear and I must say, I am quite impressed with the quality of their products. I bought four pieces in total, and I have mixed feelings about them.
Firstly, let me talk about the Adventurer Resistant Pants. These pants are simply amazing! The quality is top-notch, and they are super warm and comfortable. The design is also great, with a slim/straight cut that fits me perfectly. I am 6'3" (190 cm) and thin, and the 32x34 size was just right for me. I would definitely recommend these pants to anyone looking for a high-quality, comfortable pair of pants.
Next up, I bought two pairs of the Explorer water-resistant pants. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend these pants. While they are waterproof and the fabric is soft and breathable, I did not like the design at all. They are very loose at the bottom and a little tight around the quads. Since I am very thin, this kind of design does not suit me. However, if you like loose-fitting pants, then these might be great for you. Also, some of the seams feel uncomfortable at knee height.
Lastly, I purchased the 2-1 resistant cargo pants. These are similar to the Explorer pants in terms of fabric quality, but again, I did not like the design. They are too loose at the bottom and the zipper at the knee is super uncomfortable. However, if you remove the zipper, the shorts are great. The color is great and the pockets are very convenient.
All of these pants have an adjustable waist, which is a nice feature. However, I must say that the shipping took quite a while to arrive in Mexico. Despite the delay, I would definitely buy the Adventurer pants again, but I would look for other options for the other two kinds of pants.
Overall, I would say that Northbound Gear has some great products, but it's important to pay attention to the design and fit before making a purchase.

Mixed Experience with Northbound Gear: Quality Products, Slow Shipping, and Poor Communication
I bought a pair of adventure pants from Northbound Gear about a year ago. At first, I was excited to receive them, but then I noticed that the shipping process was taking longer than expected. After a few weeks, I decided to send an email to inquire about the status of my order. Fortunately, I received a prompt response and my pants were eventually shipped out. Despite the delay, I was happy with my purchase and found the pants to be of good quality.
Recently, I decided to order a pair of adventure pants for my daughter's first winter in Minnesota. I placed the order on November 22 and received a notification on November 29 that a shipping label had been created along with a tracking number. However, after that, I didn't receive any updates on the status of my order. I sent an email on December 16, but didn't receive a response. I followed up again on December 22, but still didn't get a reply. I was starting to get frustrated and worried that my order might have been lost.
To make matters worse, I received an email from SiteJabber on December 29 asking for my feedback on the pants that I hadn't even received yet. I tried reaching out to Northbound Gear through Instagram and email, but still didn't get a response. Finally, on January 3, I received an acknowledgement and my daughter's pants were delivered on the same day.
Although I appreciate the quality of the pants, I was disappointed with the lack of communication and slow shipping process. It would have been helpful if Northbound Gear had provided updates on the status of my order and responded to my emails in a timely manner. I also hope that the tracking information will be more accurate in the future.
Unfortunately, the pants were too big for my daughter and we had to return them. However, I was pleased with the response time for the return instructions. Despite my reservations, I still believe that Northbound Gear offers quality products and I hope that they can improve their customer service in the future. I'm willing to give them another chance, but this will be their last opportunity to get it right.

Disappointing Experience with Northbound Gear: Possible Scam Alert?
When I first came across Northbound Gear, I was initially impressed by their advertised origin as a Canadian company. On October 26th, 2021, I ordered several items - only to later discover that they were in fact manufactured and shipped from China instead. From there, it seems that things quickly went downhill.
Despite reaching out to customer service multiple times over the course of a month and a half, I was still left without the items I had ordered as of December 6th, 2021. Each time I reached out, I was met with excuses about issues with weather, customs, the warehouse, and even US customs.
At my wit's end, I eventually requested to speak with a supervisor - only to be immediately issued a refund without even asking for one. Naturally, this experience has left me wondering whether or not Northbound Gear may be operating as some kind of scam.
All in all, it's a real shame to have had such a negative experience with this company. As a consumer, it's important to put trust in the places we choose to spend our money - and I must say that Northbound Gear has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Buyer Beware: My Experience with Northbound Gear's Customer Support and Policies
Hello there! I want to share my thoughts about Northbound Gear with you. I recently made a purchase on their website, and let me tell you, it was quite an experience. While their products may seem enticing, I highly advise that you proceed with caution.
Their customer support is lacking in, well, support. I reached out to them with a question, and it took them a while to respond. When they did, their response was not very helpful at all. In fact, it was quite discouraging. They have a 60-day policy for all their products, so if you do decide to purchase something from them, be sure to send it back within that time frame if you need to exchange it or would like a refund. And please, please keep in mind that the return cost is on you. Yikes.
Now, let's talk about their warranty and support. Oh wait, what warranty and support? That's right, they don't offer any. So if you do happen to run into any issues with your purchase, you're in your own.
To be fair, their products are pretty good. But is it really worth the hassle and lack of customer support? That's up to you to decide. Just be sure to do your research and weigh the pros and cons before making a purchase from Northbound Gear.

Misleading products, inaccurate sizing, and unfair returns policy- My Disappointing Experience with Northbound Gear
I recently had an unpleasant experience with Northbound Gear which left me quite disappointed with their business practices. I purchased a jacket from them expecting to receive a women's jacket, as advertised. However, to my surprise, I received a men's jacket that was labelled as "unisex" which was obviously not what I had intended to purchase. This was particularly frustrating as the jacket I received did not match the description or images on their website.
Moreover, I also found that the sizing chart was not accurate as the jacket I received was much larger than what the chart recommended. It was supposed to be 19.5 inches across, but was actually 22 inches. The shoulders of the jacket were also disproportionately large, making it look boxy.
So, I decided to return the jacket but unfortunately, encountered another issue. In spite of being aware of their error, Northbound Gear was expecting me to pay for the shipping and restocking fees to make the return. It was extremely frustrating and seemed very unfair to me since I had not received what I had ordered in the first place.
Perhaps, the most worrying element of my experience with Northbound Gear was that they seem to have a policy where they only display positive reviews on their website, thereby removing all negative reviews. Such a move by a business raises major questions about their transparency and their honesty.
In conclusion, I was very disappointed with my experience with Northbound Gear. The non-functional sizing chart, the gender confusion in their products, and then their unreasonable returns policy, coupled with their selective review display, all leave much to be desired. Given all these factors, it is unlikely that I will be making any future purchases from them.

Northbound Gear: Mixed Reviews and Controversy Surrounding Outdoor Gear Retailer
Northbound Gear, an online retailer that specializes in outdoor gear, has been the subject of some criticism. While their website may appear to be legitimate and well-designed, some customers have expressed concerns about their pricing and product quality. It has been alleged that Northbound Gear sources their products from cheaper suppliers, such as Alibaba, and then sells them at a markup to unsuspecting consumers. Additionally, there have been accusations of dishonesty on the part of Northbound Gear's customer service team, with customers claiming that they were not forthcoming about the origins of their products.
Despite these criticisms, some customers have had positive experiences with Northbound Gear. They appreciate the company's commitment to empowering local communities, and have found their products to be of high quality. In particular, the Gash Hao snowpant has been singled out as a standout product, with many customers praising its durability and functionality.
However, it is important for potential customers to do their research before making a purchase from Northbound Gear. While the company's website may appear professional, it is always wise to check prices on other sites before making a purchase. Additionally, if you have concerns about a particular product, it may be worth reaching out to the company's customer service team to ask questions and get more information. At the end of the day, it is up to each individual to decide whether or not Northbound Gear is the right company to meet their needs.

Northbound Gear: Sustainability Claims vs Reality
When it comes to purchasing sustainable clothing, finding a reliable and environmentally conscious brand is important. However, Northbound Gear's sustainability claims are far from admirable. Their website boldly declares that they plan to eliminate all plastic packaging from their shipping processes and warehouses by Winter of 2021. However, we are halfway through the season and they still have not followed through with their promise, which seems like a problem.
Even worse, 95% of their products are not sustainable, indicating that their environmental consciousness may not be as strong as they claim. Northbound Gear's only "made in Canada" item was a sweater rebrand produced by Jerico, a different company that sells the sweater for only $82. Northbound Gear, on the other hand, sells the same item for a whopping $149 - this points to a substantial price hike that should raise some concern. Recently, the item was removed from the Northbound Gear website, presumably because it was revealed that it was not their own product at all. Instead, they are now selling Stanley/Stella Drummer rebrands that are made in Bangladesh.
As many might guess, Northbound Gear is ultimately a dropshipper - a business model that is not renowned for its environmental friendliness. While their sustainability claims may sound impressive, the reality is that they are not environmentally friendly in the slightest.
Therefore, if you are looking for a brand that values sustainability, Northbound Gear may not be the right option for you. It seems that their sustainability promises may be nothing more than empty words, and the two images at the bottom of their website clearly show how their sustainability plan has changed - something that is worrying from an environmental perspective. It’s better to look elsewhere for a brand that truly embodies the values of sustainability.

Buyer Beware: My Experience with Northbound Gear
When I first came across Northbound Gear, I was captivated by their ads and marketing strategies. However, after reading some reviews, I was hesitant to order from them, and for good reason. Many of the uninvited reviews I came across were far from satisfactory. It seems that Northbound Gear has rebranded products that can be found on Amazon for a much lower price, under names such as Tacvasen and Gash Hao.
Unfortunately, I went ahead with my order before realizing this, and when I tried to cancel and get a refund, I was quickly denied. I am now in the process of disputing the charge with my bank. I also found out that the address they list as their location in Surrey BC is actually a UPS Store, which raised major red flags. I reached out to UPS to clarify if this is a norm, and it appears that it is not.
I would definitely recommend that potential buyers steer clear of Northbound Gear and instead, order from Amazon. Not only can you get the same products at a lower cost, but Amazon also has a better track record of customer service.
I wanted to do some additional research on the drop shipping model that Northbound Gear seems to use, and it appears that there is nothing inherently wrong with this approach. However, it is important for companies to be transparent about this and not claim that their products are their own intellectual property.
Northbound Gear claims that they design and produce their own products in Canada and other locations, including China, but I found the same products on Amazon under a different brand. This raises the question of whether Northbound Gear is being misleading or making false claims. They also claim to have a warehouse in Canada, which contradicts the drop shipping model that they seem to be using.
All of this to say, buyer beware! Do your research and be cautious when ordering from Northbound Gear.

Northbound Gear Review: Dropshipping or Deception?
Northbound Gear is a dropshipping company founded by the Gosal brothers and James Harrisson. Sunny and Navdeep Gosal were raised in Scotland and are now located in Vancouver. While the company was founded in the fall of 2019, the Gosal brothers are no strangers to the e-commerce industry, having founded four dropshipping companies prior to Northbound Gear. The Gosal brothers' previous company, HobbyKrafts, received negative reviews and was deemed too much work, leading to the founding of Northbound Gear.
Northbound Gear's flagship product, their supposedly designed in Canada Gash Hao snowpants, are rebranded versions of the original product available on Aliexpress for a lower price. Furthermore, the company's Made in Canada sweater is actually made by Jerico and is also available for less directly from the manufacturer. Although Northbound Gear is affiliated with One Tree Planted, they are not actively working to empower marginalized communities.
Upon contacting the company seeking information about their background and business practices, the reviewer received almost no responses to their inquiries. Furthermore, the positive reviews on the Northbound Gear website appear to be largely fake and planted by the company itself. In addition, returned items are supposedly given to the homeless, but the reviewer has not been given the name of any specific organization through which these donations are made.
Sunny Gosal, the supposed "designer" of Northbound Gear, has a background in design from Electronic Arts software company but is not a clothing designer. Despite their slick website, Northbound Gear appears to be just another dropshipping company whose sole purpose is to make money quickly. Based on these findings, the reviewer recommends staying far away from Northbound Gear to protect your hard-earned money.

Disappointing Fit and Return Policy: My Experience with Northbound Gear's Explorer Pants
I recently purchased a pair of Explorer summer men's pants from Northbound Gear. I usually wear a size 34 waist and 32 leg, so I ordered the same size. The waist fit fine, thanks to the elastic band, but I was disappointed to find that the crotch was abnormally long. This resulted in a drooping effect, making the pants fit baggier in the front and longer than normal in length.
I reached out to Northbound Gear to inquire about a return, but was informed that I would have to pay for return shipping if the item was not defective. After several discussions, the manufacturer determined that the pants were not defective, so I was left with the option of paying $21 plus tax for return postage, in addition to a $5 fee for the return. This made the return hardly cost effective, so I decided to keep the pants and take the loss of $100.
If you prefer high-riding pants or have a leg length of at least 33 inches, these pants might work for you. However, if you're looking for a better fit, I would recommend choosing a different design and clothing supplier. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Northbound Gear and would not recommend them to others.

Review: Northbound Gear Hoodie - Sustainable and Nice, but Check Sizing Recommendations!
The hoodie I ordered from Northbound Gear was really nice, but I wish I had gotten a size larger. When I talked to them because it had arrived and the package was not sealed, I was worried that the other item I ordered was lost. However, they assured me that it was not lost and that the package was not sealed because of a postal problem. They also mentioned that they recommend a size larger as their clothing is European, which I wish I had known before ordering. My medium was actually a small, which was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, I had taken the tag off in my excitement in getting it, so I could not return it.
Despite the sizing issue, I really appreciate that Northbound Gear is trying to become a sustainable company. It's important to support businesses that are making an effort to reduce their environmental impact. The hoodie and the pants I ordered seem like good quality, so I'm happy with my purchase overall.
The only thing that was a bit frustrating was that the items took a while to arrive and arrived in separate packages. However, Northbound Gear communicated with me about this, so I knew what to expect. When the first package arrived and was not sealed, I was a bit worried, but it seems like it was just a postal problem.
Overall, I would recommend Northbound Gear to others who are looking for sustainable clothing options. Just make sure to double-check the sizing recommendations before ordering!

Disappointing Experience with Northbound Gear: Proceed with Caution
I recently had an experience with Northbound Gear that unfortunately left me very disappointed. First and foremost, it's worth noting that this company doesn't keep inventory on hand. Instead, once you place an order, they then turn around and place it with their supplier in China. While I understand that this can sometimes be an effective way to keep costs low and streamline operations, it definitely came with some drawbacks in my case.
After placing an order on November 29th, 2021, I found myself waiting and waiting for my package to arrive. Whenever I reached out to customer service for an update, all I ever received was a generic, copy-and-pasted response that offered no real help or insight. This lack of communication was incredibly frustrating, especially given the length of time I had already been waiting.
As it turned out, my order had actually made it to the US, as evidenced by the shipping label that had been created for it. However, for some reason, the package seemed to be stuck at customs and simply wasn't moving. I began to doubt whether I would ever actually receive my items.
One thing that certainly didn't help my confidence in Northbound Gear was when I discovered that the so-called "warehouse" address provided on the website belonged to a UPS store. This seemed fishy to me, and made me wonder whether this was really as legitimate a business as it claimed to be.
Finally, almost three months after I had placed my order, my package arrived. Unfortunately, it wasn't even the correct product, which was beyond frustrating. I reached out to customer service again, but once again received no real help - just more copy-and-pasted messages about how they were "talking to the carrier" (even though the package had been sitting in the US for weeks at this point).
All in all, my experience with Northbound Gear was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I can't speak for others, but based on my experience, I would advise anyone considering buying from them to proceed with caution.

Frustrating Customer Service Experience with Northbound Gear: A Review
I recently placed an order with Northbound Gear (northboundgear.co) in early January and have unfortunately encountered some frustrating customer service issues. Despite multiple attempts to contact their support team for an update on the status of my order, I have been left in the dark with no response. I have tried calling and sending emails to their customer service team, but have yet to receive any kind of follow-up.
This lack of communication has led to a significant waste of my time and effort in trying to get a simple update on my order. It's discouraging to have to go through such a prolonged process just to get answers, especially when it comes to something as basic as a status update or a refund.
Overall, my experience with Northbound Gear has been extremely disappointing due to the lack of reliable customer service support. It's a shame that such a simple customer service issue has caused so much frustration on my end, and I hope that Northbound Gear resolves these issues for future customers.

Beware of High Return Shipping Costs: Northbound Gear Review
Upon purchasing a jacket from Northbound Gear, I was disappointed to find out that although it was shipped from New York, any returns must be shipped to Canada. As a result, the cost of returning the jacket was extremely high, which felt quite prohibitive. I also found it frustrating that Northbound Gear doesn't seem to prominently display their address on their website, which can lead to confusion about where the company is actually located. That being said, if possible, it's important to take care to ensure that any purchases from this company are likely to fit, as this would save a lot of unnecessary hassle (and extra shipping fees) down the road. Although I appreciate the quality of the jacket that I ended up receiving, I would caution others to do their research carefully before buying anything from Northbound Gear.

A Disappointing Experience with Northbound Gear: Poor Returns Policy, Inaccurate Sizing, and Spam Emails
As a human being who has recently dealt with Northbound Gear, I feel it's important to share my experience with others who may consider using their services. This company boasts about their easy return policy, but unfortunately, that's not always the case. If you reside in the US and wish to make a return, the cost of shipping alone will set you back over $20. On top of that, Northbound Gear also imposes a restocking fee, and you'll need to fill out a customs declaration form. Needless to say, it's quite a cumbersome process.
When it comes to the actual products they offer, I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The sizing of the item I ordered was way off, leaving me with a product that didn't fit at all. I urge anyone contemplating a purchase from this company to be very careful and double-check their sizing guide before making any final decisions.
Another thing I noticed was the sheer amount of promotional emails flooding my inbox after ordering from them. While I appreciate companies marketing their products, Northbound Gear takes it to a whole new level. It seems as if they care much more about getting their name out there than providing quality customer service.
In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend Northbound Gear to anyone. Their poor return policy, inaccurate sizing, and overwhelming spam emails all culminate in a less-than-satisfactory experience. There are numerous other companies out there offering similar products with much better customer service - I would suggest exploring those options instead.

Unreliable Order Fulfillment and Customer Service: My Experience with Northbound Gear
As a dissatisfied customer of Northbound Gear (northboundgear.co), I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, it seems that the company struggles with managing its inventory and fulfilling orders in a timely manner. When I initially placed my order, it took over a month of persistent communication with their customer service team before my item was finally shipped out.
However, my troubles did not end there. When the product finally arrived, it didn't fit as anticipated, prompting me to request an exchange. It's disheartening to say that what followed was an absolute nightmare. Despite my continued efforts to reach out to the company, I have yet to receive my exchanged product even after five months have passed. The entire process has been extremely frustrating and time-consuming.
Naturally, such an experience has left me with no desire to purchase from Northbound Gear ever again. I urge other potential buyers to be cautious when considering this company. Don't make the mistake that I did by assuming that just because something is available online, it must be easily accessible. It appears that Northbound Gear still has some work to do in improving its customer service and order fulfillment processes.

Unreliable customer service from Northbound Gear: My disappointing experience
As a customer, I had a discouraging experience with Northbound Gear. In my order, they shipped me the wrong size of men's pants, leading me to approach them for an amicable resolution. However, it was a tedious process to get a response from them, after multiple attempts to contact their customer support team. At last, they requested for photos of the item and the shipping label to be furnished which I obliged. To my surprise, after submitting the requested information, they stopped responding altogether.
This experience left me disheartened as I had expected better service from them. Moreover, my discovery of similar complaints from other customers on different platforms indicates that this is not an isolated occurrence. It is, therefore, doubtful that Northbound Gear takes prompt action and strives towards satisfying customers.
Perhaps it would be in your best interest to spend your hard-earned money supporting your local businesses instead. This would ensure not only quality products, but you could also receive prompt service and support from a community store that cares about its customers.

Disappointing Experience with Northbound Gear: High Return Fees and Lack of Accountability
I had a rather unfortunate experience with Northbound Gear (northboundgear.co) and I must say, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I placed an order for three items and received them in a timely manner. However, upon inspecting the jackets, I noticed that the sleeves were very short and simply did not fit me. Naturally, I wanted to return the items in exchange for some better fitting ones. However, this is where the troubles began.
When I approached the Northbound Gear customer service regarding my return, I was informed that to ship the items back, I would have to pay $66.00! That's a hefty amount just to return two jackets. What's more, $10.00 of that amount was for restocking, which I found to be rather ridiculous. It's not like the jackets had gone through rigorous use, bare-minimum to even consider the need for restocking.
While I understand that companies have their own return policies, I found this to be a rather exorbitant charge. I was disappointed and frustrated, to say the least. And if that wasn't enough, Northbound Gear failed to deliver an item that I ordered over a month ago, which I still haven't received. I was given a tracking number, but even the customer service team had no idea where the item was. Talk about lack of accountability.
All in all, I was left disheartened by my experience with Northbound Gear. It's a shame, as I truly wanted to support them as an independent business. However, the lack of proper service, high return fees and lack of accountability left me very disappointed. All in all, there are better options out there for those looking to purchase outdoor gear - this company certainly isn't one of them.
